Four Seasons Sunrooms of New York Reviews (34)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I am not at all satisfied with this outcomeThe nearly days attempting to get to someone At Four Seasons Sunrooms to get a replacement window for a product that carried a "lifetime" guarantee, has been totally un acceptableI feel I have been backed into a corner by Four Seasons, and as such could never be satisfied nor could I in good conscience ever recommend their product or servicesI am considering this case closed, at this point in time there is nothing else to doIf another window breaks I will find a replacement locally I am most grateful for the help provide by the Revdex.com in greater New York In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I have requested to provide additional information and a copy of the original contract Revdex.com I.D- [redacted] This window and total sunroom was purchased by [redacted] and [redacted] approximately June [redacted] ***son is deceased I purchased the home from [redacted] August *, I was provided with only an "Engineering Calculations" drawing of standard components for the proposed sunroom That drawing specifies: "Standard System modular sunroom, Model SWM-17DH with 5CBheavy roof rafters with channel insert with - 36" bays and no gable ends for the ***son residence located in [redacted] Dated February *** 2001" The drawing has an engineer's stamp of review and compliance from [redacted] ***, [redacted] , dated April *, 2001.I have no other paperwork or contracts of the installation by [redacted] .As I indicated in my original Revdex.com complaint, I am most interested in getting my shattered glass ceiling panel repaired The price and if warranty is involved is not at issue!I do note however that the Four Season Sunrooms web site clearly states their product carries a YEAR FULL WARRANTY, GLASS BREAKAGE INCLUDED for as long as you own your home, which is FULLY TRANSFERABLE.But again, payment or warranty is NOT AT ISSUE I am requesting that Four Season Sunrooms stand behind their product for repair purposes. If I am not legally covered by a warranty that's fine I just want someone to fix the shattered ceiling glass properly so it does not leak

In August original release was sent to homeowner for signatureHomeowner wanted to make revisionsOctober *, revised release sent to homeownerHomeowner did not want to signAs mentioned, hot tub was not in contracted scope of workFour Seasons asked for release to be signed in lieu of completing additional scope at NO CHARGE to the homeownerHome owner would not signFour Seasons is still entitled to receive balance of contract due regardless of consumers decision to not move forward with additional work quoted at no charge because this work was not included in the contract scope of workAgain, Four Seasons is happy to move forward with completing additional work requested at NO CHARGEWith this said we will need a change order signed from the homeowner before work beginsThis is to acknowledge additional work to be performed at no charge although there is a balance due of $8,from original contractPayment would not be due until work completedIn addition, homeowner has not yet provided updated dimensions for hot tub in order to update engineering accordinglyPlease advise

Once project was in progress, customer noticed the sunroom had not been built to accommodate an existing hot tubAfter review of the signed Scope of Work, it was determined that inclusion of hot tub was never includedIn good faith, Four Seasons offered to make revisions to project in order to accommodate the town requirements for hot tub at NO ADDITIONAL COST to the homeowner, in lieu of a signed change order and releaseSpecs of the hot tub were also to be provided to Four Seasons by homeowner in order to update engineeringThis was expressed via phone communication with homeowner, along with multiple letters sent dated October *, October **, & November **, Although the customer originally agreed to move forward, none of the required documentation was given to Four Seasons to progress the projectFour Seasons believes it is still entitled to the balance of the funds to be received under the original contract and scope of work signed by the homeownerAgain, we are happy to make necessary changes to project in order to accommodate the town requirements at NO ADDITIONAL COST to the homeowner We look forward to response

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: Four Seasons sent a Release to be signed, In this release (Not a New Contract) several specific information was left out Such as the fact that Four Seasons had there own contractor, I never hired my own contractor Needless to say the important info here is that How am I suppose to sign a release for a project that was never completed They also made it clear that without this signature on the said RELEASE AGREEMENT nothing would be done on my property That would be intimidating of a consumer on a whole new level I would also add the fact that Four Seasons sent me a letter from an Attorneys firm indicating that they would not be completing the project and expect to be paid in full Hence the reason I do not trust this company If they had intensions on making any corrections they should have done it when the problems first arouse but NO there contractor and Four Seasons as a company avoided doing a good job Also the bad weather that long island has recently sustained has made me very concerned about the structure One last thing if Four Seasons is implying that the HOT TUB was not in the SCOPE of Work, why is it sitting in the structure as we speak In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

In response to the consumer's latest reply, please be aware that we had our Project Managers on site this week to review the items that are deemed unsatisfactory.   Both project managers will return and resolve all issues and complaints on April [redacted].  The sunroom owner, [redacted], is aware of this; we have been in constant contact with  him to schedule appointments both previous and upcoming.   We apologize that the consumer is not satisfied to date with the work performed but be advised and understand that all work will be completed to agreed upon spec

I have requested to provide additional information and a copy of the original contract.  Revdex.com I.D. - [redacted]This window and total sunroom was purchased by [redacted] and [redacted] approximately June 2001.  [redacted]son is deceased.  I purchased the home from [redacted] August *, 2013.  I was provided with only an "Engineering Calculations" drawing of standard components for the proposed sunroom.  That drawing specifies: "Standard System 4 modular sunroom, Model SWM-17DH with 5CB5 heavy roof rafters with channel insert with 5 - 36" bays and no gable ends for the [redacted]son residence located in [redacted]. Dated February [redacted] 2001" The drawing has an engineer's stamp of review and compliance from [redacted], dated April *, 2001.I have no other paperwork or contracts of the installation by [redacted].As I indicated in my original Revdex.com complaint, I am most interested in getting my shattered glass ceiling panel repaired.  The price and if warranty is involved is not at issue!I do note however that the Four Season Sunrooms web site clearly states their product carries a 20 YEAR FULL WARRANTY, GLASS BREAKAGE INCLUDED for as long as you own your home, which is FULLY TRANSFERABLE.But again, payment or warranty is NOT AT ISSUE.  I am requesting that Four Season Sunrooms stand behind their product for repair purposes. If I am not legally covered by a warranty that's fine .... I just want someone to fix the shattered ceiling glass properly so it does not leak.

We have received all of the information we requested from [redacted], and after further review it has been determined there is no active warranty for breakage on the glass as the room was installed in 1998. We are awaiting accurate dimensions from [redacted] so we may provide to him the cost of the replacement and have also provided to him the information for whom he may contact for installation. We regret to hear of the issue [redacted] is having with the broken pane and are here to support him with the assistance he requires.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I am not at all satisfied with this outcome. The nearly 60 days attempting to get to someone At Four Seasons Sunrooms to get a replacement window for a product that carried a "lifetime" guarantee, has been totally un acceptable. I feel I have been backed into a corner by Four Seasons, and as such could never be satisfied nor could I in good conscience ever recommend their product or services. I am considering this case closed, at this point in time there is nothing else to do. If another window breaks I will find a replacement locally.  I am most  grateful for the help provide by the Revdex.com in greater New York

In August 2015 original release was sent to homeowner for signature. Homeowner wanted to make revisions. October *, 2015 revised release sent to homeowner. Homeowner did not want to sign. As mentioned, hot tub was not in contracted scope of work. Four Seasons asked for release to be signed in lieu of completing additional scope at NO CHARGE to the homeowner. Home owner would not sign. Four Seasons is still entitled to receive balance of contract due regardless of consumers decision to not move forward with additional work quoted at no charge because this work was not included in the contract scope of work. Again, Four Seasons is happy to move forward with completing additional work requested at NO CHARGE. With this said we will need a change order signed from the homeowner before work begins. This is to acknowledge additional work to be performed at no charge although there is a balance due of $8,500 from original contract. Payment would not be due until work completed. In addition, homeowner has not yet provided updated dimensions for hot tub in order to update engineering accordingly. Please advise.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I have repeatedly sent photos  snd requested documents to Four Seasons. Their response is that they never receive the information sent. Yet They do receive my Email requesting them to respond. Erika sends an email and I forward the information from her email. I can only assume they are buying time to let this pass, without providing any panel as required by their warranty
