Fredericksburg Moving Company Reviews (26)

Review: I hired this company for a "professional precision move" and many of my household goods such as living room set, bedroom sets, microwave oven were damaged. For the last 6 months I have been trying to contact the company to file a claim and they would not answer the phone, emails, etc.Desired Settlement: Pay for the replacement cost of my household goods or to obtain a refund for the services I required.

Regards,

Review: This is a moving issue. Several items were damaged and lost during the move, I had only asked for 3 items to be repaired and 2 items replaced. 1. Antique brass bed footboard; damaged, 1 spindle broken off. 2. Antique dinette table; formica top corner chipped off. 3. Armoire; doors damaged, split and multiple scratches and dents, item was loaded on its side in the truck for some reason. 4. Large floor mirror lost. 5. 2 boxes of family heirloom linen lost. [redacted] Bryant is very nice guy but the entire move was not communicated well at all. I had asked [redacted] to come and have someone review and bid the job in person instead of estimate on email. My job ended up almost double the initial quote, due to it being larger than he expected, that is why I suggested he come see exactly what I had, I warned him!Move was 11/15/13 and still have no resolution. When I reported this [redacted] stated his crew had reported some damaged items and had taken pictures and they should have told and shown me those pictures in event I was going to report a lose on them. I had asked [redacted] to forward those pix but he never did.Desired Settlement: Request 3 items be repaired or compensated for repairs, items can't be replaced due to age. Very upset about lost items, these were some of the only remaining items from my late-mother.

At this time, I have not been contacted by Precision Movers regarding complaint ID [redacted]. I was contacted once by business [redacted] after he was notified I filed complaint, stating he sees I had filed the complaint, but nothing afterwards. He had previously proposed a settlement which I countered but then he never responded one way or the other.

Regards,

Review: Our $3300 armoire was damaged by Precision movers during our move on 4/11/14. The company manager, [redacted], has stated that Precision will not pay to repair the damage. We have submitted pictures of the damage to Precision movers. We have left several messages and followed up with emails. with no response. [redacted] has previously admitted that Precision's employees damaged the armoire but that since the costs to repair the damage could POTENTIALLY exceed the amount they charged for the move, they are refusing to pay for the damage because "they [Precision] will go in the red on the move."

They are insured and they advertise stress free moving. Not in this case.Desired Settlement: We are seeking is repair of the scratches on the door and top of tour armoire and repair of the crown molding on the top of the furniture which was broken and splintered when their employee dropped it.

Regards,

Review: I used [redacted] / [redacted] to move from [redacted] to [redacted] on Oct 24th. I was quoted a price of $750 by [redacted] on Oct 8th. The breakdown of charges was to be: 6 hours at $100 per hour and truck fee of $150. However, my bankcard was charged $1146 with no explanation of the why the increase in cost. The move did take an hour longer than expected which would bring the total cost to $850. I have been asking[redacted] and [redacted] for a detailed explanation of the charges for nearly 2 weeks. They have been unwilling to provide detail and have not returned my calls.Desired Settlement: I would like a detailed accounting of what was billed and a bill adjustment.

Review: The movers of this company damaged furniture and areas of the house. We were told that Dave H[redacted] would be contacting us in regard to filing a damage claim and taking care of the damage. It has been 30 days and after numerous phone calls and email, we have had NO contact from either Dave H[redacted] or John B[redacted] from the company to address the damage done.Desired Settlement: I would like contact from the company to have the repairs addressed and reimbursed. We had the house repairs taken care of, due to it being a new home and did not want to keep looking at the damage. The furniture is still damaged.

Regards,

Their name should be Dishonest Movers. They sent a drug addicted thief to my home to move my furniture. One of their crew members stole $20K of jewelry from my home. We had to get the police involved and after 3 hours of searching and questioning, the jewelry was recovered from the bottom of the trash bin the mover stashed into tin can. Now my wife and I have to appear in court to get this guy convicted. Turns out this wasn't the first time this guy had stolen from a house. Just the day before, he stole a credit card from a homeowner. A credit card that he also stashed in my trash bin.

They also damaged several pieces of custom-made furniture an damaged doors and walls in our brand new house. They forgot to unload a flat-screen TV and took it to another job site the next day before delivering to me. The TV was delivered with a shattered screen and the owner is refusing to take responsibility for the damage.

These guys are dishonest, to include the owner who just feeds lies and deception to his clients. DO NOT use these movers...you'll be sorry if you do!
