Freedom Plus is a great company. The process of requesting a loan is simple and all of the staff with whom I have had contact were friendly, professional, and quick to help achieve a successful outcome. Loan rates are reasonable and their business practices are efficient. Overall great experience and I recommend Freedom Plus highly.

I was leary when I received the letter in the mail saying I was pre-approved as I have heard some stories about lending companies in the past. But, I needed to get out from under some high interest rate credit cards so I took a chance. From the very beginning the person I spoke with was extremely helpful and professional, she worked hard with me through numerous calls to help me get just the right loan amount that worked best for me. I am very pleased with this Company and would highly recommend. them.

I just want to commend one of Freedom Plus's loan officers, [redacted].
He has been nothing but professional and has gone above and beyond his job to help me get out from under debt.
When I saw the agreement in the payout, I didn't understand that money that I owed would be sent to me to pay a bank that you did not have direct dealings with and a credit union I deal with actually had a different name so when I saw an asterisk by the bank I assumed that the bank was not going to be paid and I thought a different credit union was going to be paid the money I owed. I freaked out.
I want you to know that [redacted] called me first thing the next morning and explained everything to me in a very calm, patient professional way which totally relieved my fears.
It is so noteworthy to find such a trustworthy, professional person as [redacted] and the company that he works for actually help people out of their money debt.
As I said before I want to commend [redacted] for his professionalism, trustworthiness, and patience. Now it also makes me want to commend his company(Freedom Plus) too, as having those characteristics.

Be careful. I went on lending tree and picked out a personal loan that I wanted and applied. It said they would contact me later about my application. 3 hours later, freedom plus calls me. I thought they were the loan company I had chose off of lending tree. The interest rate was higher and I even asked he representative if this was the same as lending tree/lending club because I didn't want to apply for 2 loans. He insisted me it was and I wasn't applying for 2. Long story short, I ended up thinking this company was who I had chosen off of lending tree when in actuality it wasn't. I had already signed paper work thinking this was the only loan company I had applied to. Nope. So I had 2 loans approved and 2 amounts of money going into my account. They would not work with me at all after this. I called numerous times and it seemed like after I had singed the paper work, the customer service center wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. I had to get my father involved because I felt like I got scammed and tricked into signing up with them bc I thought they were who I wanted in the beginning . I ended up losing $1,000 dollars because they have a non refundable 5% fee when you take out the loan. They would not reimburse me for anything..not even the interest charged for the 4 days it took for me to get the money sent back. Their interest rates are extremely high as well. I have a great credit score and got a 10.08% interest rate when lending club (this was the place I had chosen off lensing tree) & their interest rate for me was 19.9%!!! Stay away. Go with lending club. They are hassle free. If the customer service rep would have said that I hadn't applied for anything with them yet, I would NOT have agreed to anything because I would have known this wasn't what I chose online. So be cautious if they call you out of nowhere after browsing and picking a loan from lending tree. Wouldn't want this to ever happen to anyone else.

I was working with [redacted] who was very helpful. He tried his hardest to get a personal loan for me as I was laid off and wanted to consolidate bills now that I've had a job. I needed a co-signed so I asked my brother and he obliged. The issue I have is I was told I was approved, I was given an amount that was approved, I was given a percentage rate along with time. I was told all I needed was verification of income and a utility stub (which is standard and understandable). I said since I was not approved for the amount requested I wanted to think about it. [redacted] said that was fine but it was a quick process now that was approved. I forwarded along a pay stub and utility bill so when I made my decision the next day it would be quick. I also stated if they would meet in the middle and if there was anything derogatory I could provide evidence of signed documentation showing I was in agreement on payment plans with different companies. He called and said he could not get it approved for that amount. He also said that he switched me from the main applicant to the co-applicant it was declined completely but when he put it back he was unable to get me 'reapproved'. He said he would explain to underwriting the situation and get it resolved. Unfortunately for me I thought this would be a big help for me but by him switching around the applicant and co-applicant he was unable to get it reapproved. I didn't authorize this change so in addition to now going from being approved to now being denied I was disappointed and rather upset. I know he was trying to help but I didn't authorize that change and it cost me the loan I wanted.
He offered for me to speak with his supervisor, [redacted]. First he didn't return my call but when he did he was rather rude. He stated [redacted] was mistaken and I wasn't approved but they record the calls and I was assured I was approved as long as I could verify my income and utility bill. [redacted] wasn't having any of this and said he would go over standard procedures with [redacted]. My point is [redacted] was extremely unprofessional and not compassionate at all. I believe he knew [redacted] shouldn't have changed the Applicant and Co-applicant and it wasn't right to offer an approval and amount and they rescind for no reason.
I am just letting people know that the supervisor, [redacted] there was unprofessional and the business practice of changing an application without a customers authorization and the practice of approving and denying loans isn't very good practice and rather rude to consumers. I hope no one else has to deal with [redacted] as he is rude and unprofessional.
I would and will not recommend this company to ANY of my friends and family. The way they are run and current practices are not conducive to good customer service.

I got a loan with Freedom Plus in Oct 2015, the process was fairly easy. In Aug 2016, I joined a Debt Management Program (DMP) and wanted to include Freedom Plus on the account. The DMP contacted Freedom Plus a few times with a proposal, but Freedom mortgage did not respond until Nov 2016. In the meantime, the DMP sent Freedom Plus the monthly payments, but because it was under my normal monthly payment amount, they were considered "missed payments". I would of thought Freedom Plus would have responded to the first proposal with a "do not accept" the first time they were notified. Instead, they dragged the process and reported my payments to the credit bureau as "missed payments". I called them today to ask if they would take those "missed payments" off my credit report and they said they wouldn't. If only they would had notified the DMP that they didn't accept the offer, I could had taken care of it myself. I refuse to do any other business with them and do not/will not recommend them to anybody.
