After reviewing the customer's account internally it appears the balance has been written off as of 3/13/There is currently no balance due

Our records indicate the shipment in question, BOL ***, was quoted at a price of $The carrier selected to move the freight at this price was *** *** ***At the time of booking, our system sent a BOL to the shipper which listed *** *** *** as the carrier,
and we electronically dispatched this pickup request to *** *** ***Unfortunately, the shipper gave this freight to *** ***, a carrier that did not quote $for the shipmentAs Freightquote.com did not dispatch *** *** to the shipping location, nor did we advise the shipper to give the freight to any carrier other than Southeastern Freight Line, we are unable to compensate for the price difference that resulted from sending the freight with a different carrier than assigned and quotedThe additional charges of $are due and valid

Full reviews of the loads in question, *** and ***, have been conducted and the residential fees on both loads have been removedAs the consumer described, these loads moved with two separate carriers, *** *** *** *** and *** ***, and each assessed a residential fee for
either picking up or dropping off at the customer’s locationAs a broker, Freightquote.com does not assess additional fees on shipments unless we are billed for additional fees by the carriers that move our loadsIn this case, the carriers assessed additional fees for residential delivery/pickup, and we passed those fees along to the customer, as outlined in our Terms and Conditions
Upon the customer’s request, we disputed these additional charges with each carrier*** *** *** *** removed their charge for a residential pickup shortly after we filed a dispute with their companyThis removal was passed to the customer as well
On 3/7/18, we filed a dispute with *** *** requesting they remove the residential delivery charge they applied to the shipmentOn 3/8/18, the carrier responded that they would not remove the fee as the location was residential with a house on the property, thus making the fee validWe informed the customer of the carrier’s declination via email on this same dateContrary to the carrier’s communication with us, *** sent us a revised invoice on 3/12/This revised invoice does not include the residential fee so we have passed this credit along to the customer as of todayThe customer’s credit card which originally paid for the fee will be credited $within 3-business days

I am rejecting this response because: My business was conducted with Freightquote and not a third party insurance company To me Freightquote is trying to move this responsibility to someone else First they stated to go to directly to UPS since UPS is the carrier I am currently working with UPS They also told me to work directly with the third party insurance company and I will get that started I see issues with how Freightquote applied for the third party insurance The first form they sent me was not signed by Freightquote, but Freightquote finally had it signed Now I am seeing that the insurance form that Freightquote provided shows April 21, for shipping/delivery when the actual delivery pick up was April 1, This looks like even though Freightquote was paid for the insurance before the shipment was sent that they may have applied for the insurance after the shipment and damage was done Insurance forms seems to show that insurance may have been applied for after the shipment and damage If I was the third party insurance company, I would reject this claim But I am hoping that I am wrong since this is a large some of money and deals with unused airplane parts that cannot and should not be repaired One last thing I have pictures if required and I also have a inspection report provided by an inspector that UPS sent to my home Thank you.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseComplaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:I want to *** *** at Freightquote.com, or her supervisor at Freightquote.com to assure me that my name has been taken of any and all collection agencies that they useI have never contacted this company for any reason whatsoever, and for them to contact me by phone with harrasing phone calls and emails for an invoice that I was not responsible is inexcusableI tried to be polite and explain the situation, but she would not take no for an answerI want to see that no other customer has to go though the aggravation that I had to go though with this individualVery unprofessional.Regards,*** ***

The customer spoke with on of our sales directors last week and resolved the issued

A thorough review of BOL *** has been conducted and all charges have been found validAt the time of booking, the customer advised the shipment consisted of pallets, each 40x48x45, stackable, and each containing a large gaylord box of “Flakes, pellets, granules.” The customer selected USF
Holland as the carrier to move the loadWhen the carrier arrived at the shipper’s location to pick up the shipment, the driver advised he was not comfortable with the pallets being stacked in the trailerHis concern was that some of the boxes in the shipment were bulging due to the weight of the product and he did not want damages to incur should the pallets be stackedThe customer loaded all pallets into the truck without stacking the freight, taking up twice as much trailer space as expectedA discussion between the customer and his Sales Representative at Freightquote did occur on the day the freight was loadedAt that time, the consumer was advised extra charges would incur due to the new space requirements of the shipment and that these charges would be his responsibilityHe opted to keep the freight in transit with the same carrier and incur those charges
Since the shipment occurred we have been in contact with both the customer and the carrier regarding the additional charges on the loadThe carrier has provided an inspection certificate, photos, and a detailed explanation of the charges, all of which we have provided to the customer as validity of the chargesIn response, the customer provided us with photos of a similar shipment to show the pallets in question could be stackedThe carrier has reviewed those photos and advised they have no bearing on the adjusted shipmentUnfortunately, we are unable to dispute the adjustment further with the carrier as they have provided proper documentation to validate the chargesThis information has been communicated consistently to the consumer by several different Freightquote employees, including a Sales Representative, Sales Manager, and Sales DirectorAt this time the charges are still valid and due

Our records indicate the shipment in question was originally booked by the customer via our websiteThis shipment, BOL ***, was not booked as a residential pickup, so both Freightquote and the selected carrier for the load, Daylight Transport, were unaware that there would be an issue picking
up the loadPickups occurring at residential or limited access locations require different services than pickups at commercial locations with docks and forklifts onsiteResidential pickups are slightly more costly than commercial pickups to compensate the carrier for the added services needed to complete the loadAfter being advised by the customer the pickup location was residential a customer service representative re-quoted and re-booked the shipment for the consumer, who agreed to the price difference for these added servicesAs a courtesy we have issued a credit of $to price match to the original shipment the customer booked online, and this refund will be processed back to the customer’s card that was originally chargedIn the future, to receive an accurate quote we would encourage the customer to either mark the pickup location as residential when appropriate or call our customer service department to book the load with a representative

I am rejecting this response because: The Freightquote sales representative did not communicate that there would be extra charges The driver did not communicate that the skids should be loaded single stacked because they were bulging Again, this is a shipment that has been repeated numerous times without issue

Steve S***

We wrote off the balance on this accountThe customer will receive no further collection attempts

Our records indicate the shipment in question, Load ***, moved in January of The carrier selected to move the load was UPS FreightThe customer gave the shipment details as one crate of “Desk Sets” weighing poundsUPS re-weighed the freight, finding it weighed poundsAs
per industry standard, the shipment moved as normal, the carrier billed for the added weight, and, in turn, Freightquote billed the customer for the added poundsUpon review, it has been determined that a system error over-billed the customer for this adjustmentOriginally, the weight added an extra $to the customer’s billThis amount should have only been an additional $As a courtesy for the over-billing and the customer service issues experienced by the customer, we have waived all additional charges associated with the reweigh of this shipmentThere is now a zero balance due on this shipment and we apologize for the issues the customer experienced

I am rejecting this response because:First, I should get my money back on the $shipping fee that I paid to Freight Quote when the package is lostI remade the item and repackagedI called freight quote to see if they would reship the package but they said that it would be a new order even though they did not follow thru with the first shipment by delivering the packageAnd in regards with insurance, I bought the recommended insurance from freight quote but the package worth did not cover the deductibleSo as a seller of a product, they should be informed on the product they sellBy selling improper insurance, they put their clients businesses at risk and then pass on any fault by claiming they are just a broker where in fact they are the representatives of these under companies, where then they can pass the blame and not take fault for their own mistakesThis is ridiculous when they lost my package and refuse to give a refund for the shipping cost and then say that the package which was a 5ft by 4ft package where I spent $to ship the package that the most I could get back from a insurance claim would be $This company use to sell insurance but now does not and the way they handle business is a way that hurts their customers and I should be due my money for their mistakes and faults
