I am rejecting this response because:Freightquote claimed we did not provide proof of weight or dimensions of the item being shipped.  We did provide the information and the specifications can be found here: [redacted]   [redacted] will ship the same bandsaw for free so I highly doubt freight is over $300 delivered anywhere in the USA. Our forklift weigh scale put the bandsaw as loaded at 476.8 lbs., we rounded up to 500 lbs. for shipping.  Also, according to Freightquotes' own online shipping calculator, it didn’t matter whether the item weighed 500 lbs. or 750 lbs. nor did freight class matter. Basically the cost to ship the saw boiled down to cubic volume and if the pallet was stackable or not of standard dimension (i.e.  40 x 48).According to our new shipping company, it is not uncommon for carriers to “have someone stand on the scale” when weighting an item or "to measure dimensions generously" when an item is being shipped via third party. Although proof of weight and dimensions has been provided by Freightquote, I dispute its accuracy.I am also aware of a rule/law that states any rate adjustment that results in a gross correction of the original quote, whether the quote was obtained automatically or manually, the shipper must be contacted for approval of the additional charges before shipment occurs. I would believe this is to prevent fraud.A rate of $621.62 is completely absurd when a typical 53’ dry van can carry up to 26 pallets for a gross trip revenue of over $16,000.  The rate originally quoted was still high, but fair enough to accept. I am very sorry for doing business with Freightquote.We agree to pay the rate as quoted, nothing more.  Regards,[redacted]

As previously explained, leaving the freight un-stacked was deemed necessary to avoid incurring damage. The customer was made aware of this and chose to continue with the transit. The charges are valid.

I am rejecting this response because: It has not been settled at this point.  I am working with the insurance company and I have file the claim.  But as I stated in my prior note, arrangements were made through Freighquote for the shipment and insurance.  Freightquote should be the company that is closing this issue with the insurance company and UPS.  I have been the one trying to get this issue resolved with the third party companies that Freighquote used.  Thank you.

Freightquote’s records indicate BOL [redacted] was booked to pick up at [redacted]. The signed delivery receipt shows a pickup address of [redacted], AZ. All other shipment details on the delivery receipt match the shipment in question, the PRO number is the same as listed on the correct BOL used, and the carrier’s invoice is billing from the correct pickup address. It is our belief the carrier typed the street number into their system incorrectly, which populated the incorrect address on the delivery receipt. We have confirmed with the carrier that unfortunately they are unable to provide another delivery receipt for this shipment, as the attached was the one signed at delivery. While we do fully believe the delivery receipt is for the shipment in question and simply contains a typo, we are sympathetic to the fact this could potentially complicate billing for the customer. As a courtesy for all of the issues on this shipment, we have waived all additional charges and processed a credit of $250 for the tradeshow delivery fee which the customer paid. This courtesy refund was processed today and will be available on the customer’s card within 3-5 business days.

Hi, I just spoke with you on the phone.  I want to withdraw this complaint.  The company’s sales manager called me this morning and agreed to give me a full refund of the first order and a partial refund of the second, which is more than fair.Please let me know if I can withdraw this...

It is unfortunate that FreightQuote's tactics took this much effort on my part, and although you maintain their rating as A+, it's clear that they do this on a regular basis given the number of "resolved" complaints this company has.
