probably one of the worst companies to work with in terms of reliability.
I had a problem with my dishwasher not filling with water to wash dishes. I called Friends Tek and a technician came out five times to fix the issue. Unfortunately, the technician did not have the necessary parts on several visits and the issue was not resolved. When I was told that the issue was fixed, the dishwasher still flooded when it ran. Additionally, there were several last-minute cancellations and a no-show for the last service appointment. Overall, I was very disappointed with the service provided by Friend Tek. probably one of the worst companies to work with in terms of reliability.

why is this company still in business? Won't answer phone. did not fix my refrigerator first time.

This has to be the most unprofessional and inconsiderate business that I have ever had to deal with! Absolutely no consideration to our situation. This is the company that Samsung uses for their warranty work. They have worked on my refrigerator 3 times and it still does not work properly. Notice that I said "worked" and not "repaired". That is because it hasn't been repaired. FriendsTek schedules appointments then doesn't keep them. My refrigerator went out on May 23rd, just before Memorial Day. My 67th birthday/retirement celebration was planned for that weekend. Needless to say, everything was ruined. Most of the food that was purchased was lost.
FriendsTek informed me that the soonest that they could have a technician out was June 12th.
What makes matters worse is the fact that FriendsTek informed me today that it has to reschedule my appointment to June 25th. Who can go an entire month without a working refrigerator, especially in Alabama! This is absolutely the most unresponsive and unprofessional appliance repair company ever!!!

The technician from this company broke my fridge/freezer and won't fix it.
I started a claim with best buy to fix my fridge because it wasn't cooling right. The technician named Sean came out on May 9th to fix it. Sometime during it, he did something and broke the whole fridge and freezer and now neither of them work at all. I had to throw hundreds of dollars of food away since it was broken. They made a follow up appointment on May 13th saying they needed to replace some coils. Sean came again and said he fixed it but it never would get cool and was still broken. I made another appointment for May 16th this time with a different tech. That tech came out and said that it was leaking Freon and that a part would need to be ordered for it be fixed so I made another appointment yet again. This appointment was for May 20th. And again Sean came out and said he fixed it but it still never got cool. At this point I was beyond frustrated so I called Samsung to see if I could get a replacement. I was told by the claims representative there that the only thing they could do was send another technician out and they couldn't give me a replacement. I had an appointment scheduled for May 27th between 4 and 8 and Sean never showed up. He called at 7:30pm and said that he couldn't make it. I've had to miss work multiple times trying to deal with this and get my fridge fixed. I'm way over all this and I just want another fridge so I can buy groceries. I have a small child and I can't keep food in the house because my fridge is broken. It smells like Freon in my whole kitchen. The customer service at place is horrible. They never answer the phone and when they do, they don't help at all. I paid hundreds of dollars for an extended warranty when I bought this at best buy and it was the biggest waste of money ever. At this point I'd rather just pay someone to fix it because at least I'd have a fridge then. These people have no idea what they are doing.

Desired Outcome

I want a replacement fridge. It has been 3 weeks and 4 different times someone has come out here to "fix" it and I'm still fridgeless. It seems like to me that it can't be fixed. I paid for warranty and that should include replacements.

Absolutely the most unprofessional company that I have not even had to work with because THEY DO NOT SHOW UP!! I was given them through Samsung warranty to fix my 4 month old dishwasher and was suppose to have an appointment with them Monday....they texted me the tech was sick and did not offer another tech or a new appointment. I called Samsung and they were able to get in touch with them and they rescheduled me for this Thursay 12-4. As of 4:30 NO ONE HAS SHOWN UP AND NO ONE ANSWERS their phone!! Samsung said they were able to get in tough with them and there were running late. Now almost 5:30, they are closed and they did not return calls, texts or emails! Based on all the complaints here and online no one should use this company for the poorest customer service ever!!

I will start this review off by saying this is absolutely the worst service company I have dealt with.

This is a service company that was sent out via the Home Depot Protection Plan to repair my leaking Samsung washer. The first appointment, March 30th, the service technician arrived late, calling right at the end of the time period asking if it was still okay that they come and was about 30 to 45 minutes away. Once arriving, he quickly realized that he didn't have the part needed to make the repair. So the part was ordered and it was another 11 days before they came back.

On April 10th, there were two technicians that arrived for the repair. They repair was supposedly completed, but no more than 2 days later, the washer started to leak again, from the same area! I tried calling Friends Tek to have them come back but was told by them that I had to go back through the Home Depot Protection Plan to have them come out again. Although they hadn't fixed the issue to begin with. I called and made the claim again through the Home Depot Protection Plan and got a call from Friends Tek, advising me it would be the Middle of May before they could get back out to repair a repair that they didn't repair the 1st time.

When I told them that was unacceptable, they canceled the service request. I called the Home Depot Protection Plan and had 2 associates tell me they called to verify with the service provider that they would indeed be out on May 1st to make the repair. Well, they never showed or called.

Shotty workmanship and even worse customer service skills.

HORRIBLE. WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF ABLE. EIGHT phone messages starting on 4/10/202 for them to call me ASAP since my refrigerator was dead. Samsung referred me to this company for repair. NO RETURN CALLS, NO MESSAGES until 4/16/2020 when they called and hung up...never left a message. They then proceeded to cancel my ticket/service order with Samsung stating that they called multiple times and I never returned THEIR call. OMG! I have been waiting anxiously, day and night for them to call. Pulled the record of all of my incoming calls...NOTHING from them except the ONE hang up call on 4/15. What a horrible and unethical company and management! Horrible customer service. It doesn't get any worse or more pathetic than this. I HOPE that they try to respond to this review and try to spin the truth. I'm waiting for that one. Whatever they may say in a response to this would be complete BS. There is NO excuse for what I had to put up with. Thanks for leaving me with four children during a pandemic with no refrigerator. You should be proud.

Thanks, but no thanks! Had to find someone else to do the repair since I had no refrigeration from 4/10 to 4/16. Not only did no one return my calls, no one responded to my text back to your initial text telling me that you received a ticket to repair my unit from Samsung on 4/9/2020, either. From what I can see on Revdex.com, everyone is having issues with your company.

Appt scheduled and confirmed from 1-5pm!! NO show. NO phone call. NO return phone call after receiving email confirming that they were coming!

As the only Samsung service company in the area, we were forced to use this company to service a Samsung microwave. On multiple occasions, they did not show up, did not communicate they were not showing up, Finally after over a week of delays, the guy came and took the microwave and said they would call when repaired. I received a call the next afternoon that it was repaired but said it would be two weeks before anyone could bring it back to install. I called Samsung multiple times and was told it was not their problem.This company is terrible and should never be used under any circumstances.

Friends Tek was contracted thru Geek Squad to do a service repair on my refrigerator. My refrigerator stopped working on Thanksgiving day and after an online chat I was given a service date of 12\3\19. Appointment verification was emailed to me with expected time between 8-5. At 4pm on 12\3\19, we had not heard from technician, so call was placed to company with the repair order number referenced in the confirmation emails. To begin with, representative continually gave an incorrect name, then said there was no appointment scheduled. After a long conversation involving multiple blames on myself and other company members, New appointment was scheduled for 12\9\19. When I had not received a confirmation email for the new appointment, I contacted the company to verify the repair appointment was in the books and was again told there was no appointment scheduled. I notified the representative of the urgency of the repair because my spouse is home in hospice with medications that require refrigeration. They gave an appointment for 12\13\19 which I informed them is unacceptable. I have since contacted Geek Squad who is attempting to find a different contractor to get out to complete the repair in a more acceptable timeframe.

Desired Outcome

Finish the job I want my refrigerator repair completed as soon as possibe. This is a matter of safety as my spouse has medications which require refrigeration.

I have never cancelled anything. We made multiple calls to Geek Squad to get the help in getting this business to respond to the email received for service to be done on December 3. After numerous calls we were told Monday Dec.9th. I received a call From the business office from Ashley that the company could not come until Wednesday Dec. 13th, I stated that this is not what was told to me that I needed them to come Monday Dec. 9th, she stated she woulds try to come between 2pm-6pm. So again I am not sure this company will be coming, so I called Geek Squad to make sure they could be trusted. After 3 emails saying they would be here on the 3rd. and they never showed nor did they call to say they would not be here. We call at 4pm on the 3rd. with there response being?? Now I am wondering if they will be here on Monday the 9th.
no one gives me a promise I just need my refrigerator repaired .

I just needed my refrigerator repaired. His company in my opinion is just an excuse for not wanting to come to fix it. As per there three response e-mail. That they would be at my home Dec,3rd. excuse after excuse is all I ever got. They never admitted they did wrong they keep passing *** buck to someone else. I feel it in not a company who puts there customers first. Very bad practice.

Not good! Needed the rubber mat on my new Samsung dishwasher replaced. I called Samsung who apparently uses Friends Tek for there service in the Atlanta area. Long story short, the tech Sean Lee showed up and did know how to remove the rubber Matt so he tore it off the door. After tearing it off he removed the adhesive on the new one a shoved it up in the door, Repeatedly I suggested taking the front panel off ,he just argued with me. Trying his own way, after the adhesive was full of insulation he took the front off. Still trying to argue with me this whole time that the rubber matte was supposed to drag the floor I asked him to stop and please leave before he messed anything else up. The picks are how he left my dishwasher. I called there customer service and that was worse than the tech who came out, the customer service rep argued with me as well. I have since call the office of the president at Samsung and they are taking care of getting me the piece I need.
DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR COMPANY!

Technician caused water damage from the wall to the washing machine by his incompetence and misguidings while attempting to repair my machine.
Tech came to home March 30 to repair a Samsung washing machine. The sales rep was from Samsung who advised me to call FriendsTek. Rep showed up and was here 30 minutes. In that time he did NOT repair my machine but caused water damage from the pipe in the wall! I have filed a formal complaint with all necessary details and no reply. Spoke with Nina at Friends Tek via email and she said she would expedite this to her director since it has been a long time. I tried going through Samsung Corp initially and it took months before they determined it was a technician problem so they have advised me that they have individual insurance to cover these type damages! It has been at my prompting to make contact with them because they have not once attempted to speak with me. Called today, reached Nina and she said her director would be calling me today, but after 3 hours of waiting with no reply I called back and learned he was gone for the afternoon! So, I was lied to and after calling back multiple times was hung up 3 times! My biggest complaint is the destruction of my home caused by their technician and their lack of customer service to my query and documentation! How unprofessional to not work with the consumer! I know you can do nothing about the damage to my home only my attorney can but for the director to tell Nina to tell me that they have determined I had PRIOR water damage that is my biggest complaint, making a conclusion based on no facts when my documentation provided proves otherwise! Poor business ethics, customer service and lack of facts to support their findings. A court of law can determine this because I have a witness who was present during this entire fiasco!!!!!

Desired Outcome

Get the facts and pay for my damages through Damien's Insurance which he has and do right by the consumer or we will meet in court!

Upon further investigation, we have determined that the water leak was not caused by our certified technician. There was a visible water leak from before the technician arrived.

Before we scheduled out for service, you stated to our customer service representative the following:

"DOP: 3 years
Water leaking from seal during cycle.
No error codes, draining okay, no water left in basket. No noises, spinning okay.
Stacked unit, cx's son in law will help un-stack the unit."

Based on the information provided by you and our internal investigation, this was not caused by our Samsung certified technician.

This is nothing but lies, because if it was a visible leak then why did Damien not take a picture of the leak and show me BEFORE he attempted to repair my machine. The only truth in your statement is that I said my son in law would unstack the machines so technicians could easily access the machine, which he did! And if your ridiculous investigation was true then why did it take 4 and I mean 4 Samsung technicians to finally repair the machine. I have 3 witnesses that can testify there was absolutely zero water leak prior to Damien's arrival! Your claims are not true and honestly I would like to know how this investigation developed! No one has contacted me. Has anyone listened to any or all my messages that I am certain were recorded. He has insurance to cover errors or mistakes such as this and IF it is not resolved I promise I will take you to court! No matter the cost! This company is avoiding doing the right thing and I will blast them all over social media which I have begun doing.

Has the company called me? NO! Not one attempt to reach out to me while doing their internal investigation! The only investigation they apparently have done is asking the technician and based on your findings his comments are not truthful!

I will NOT drop this! The fight for the right thing will continue! If you treat all consumers this way you should be shut down!

We understand your frustration and you are stating that the machine was not leaking water prior to our Certified Technician's arrival.

However, you stated that the reason you requested service from our Authorized Samsung Service Center was due to a water leaking issue from the seal during cycle as stated in the previous reply.

Based off of the information provided by you, upon scheduling and after our Certified technician's diagnosis, the unit was leaking water prior to the technicians arrival and this was not caused by our Certified Samsung Technician.

Lies and more lies. I called Samsung after the water leak damage from your technician but PRIOR to Damien's arrival I called Samsung for repair of my washing machine leaking from the bottom. It was a leak that was found by technician #4 so for you to say I said it was a leak from the seal is NOT correct because I did not know why my machine was leaking.

I will not drop this issue until I receive the insurance name and contact that your technician has for mishaps that occur due to the type of work he does. If I do not get this information I will take Damian' and your company to court. He caused water damage in my home and I have 3 witnesses who will attest.

If I do not receive this information within the week expect legal action and trust me I will sue for much more than what I am asking for in this small claim.

Do not continue to spread lies about things you think I said. To know exactly what I said it requires a conversation with the customer, ME which you have never done. Pick up the phone, make contact and let's resolve this issue before we meet in court !

Unfortunately you do NOT understand nor does Friends Tek provide any type of excellent or even good customer service. Do not fool or lie to the average consumer. I will continue to represent the consumer in informing them how horrible this company is and how they lie and distort the trust. I will continue to report your misleadings on social media everywhere I find you.

I wish for you to tell the consumer how you completed a thorough investigation of my claim....... no one EVER contacted me either phone or email, but simply made up lies to deny providing me what is rightfully my right to file a claim with your technicians insurance company for water damage he caused in my home.

Lie #1 - I never told anyone either in person or on the phone that I had water damage before Damien showed up and if Damien noticed supposed found water leakage in my wall then why did he attempt to repair my machine and never take pictures or even tell me while at my home. Please do not tell me that he did, because I have two other witnesses that were here when Damien was here that can testify he never told me I had a water leak. Furthermore my home is only 2 years old.

Lie #2 if supposed water damage was in my home why did it take 3 more additional technicians to repair.

The TRUTH..... you are not a honest company for if you were you would complete a thorough investigation to include facts that I have already provided along with a face to face or phone call conversation with me, the customer! But since you will not I will continue to make sure any and all consumers know about your dishonesty

Friends Tek (OMB) was contracted from Samsung to service my dishwasher. Once a date and time had been established to do the repair, the tech was a no-call / no-show. 2 hours after the 4-hour window I get a call from the tech "Sorry, I got held up". I told the tech that I needed to get in contact with his office to set up another date. The tech frantically told me that there was no need to call the office and that he could reschedule my service personally. Another date and time were agreed to and when that day came, the tech was again a no-call / no-show. I called the tech personally on his cell phone and he acted like I had the "wrong guy". When I told him that he rescheduled my service he said "Oh, there must have been a miscommunication." I have tried calling this company 13 times in the past week and left multiple messages. I have not received a call back nor any resolution. Samsung has also made several failed attempts at calling this company on my behalf.

No further contact by the busi I would highly recommend that this company not be used by any person or company.

However, I feel no sincerity or substance in their apology given the perpetual lack of professionalism and accountability, which I have personally dealt with along with countless others who have reviewed them.

On 8/9/18, Friends Tek was used to make a repair on Samsung refrigerator. I was charged a service call fee of $100 before they would even work on the unit. I was charged an additional $313 to make the repair. The unit was freezing the cooling compartment of the refrigerator. This is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators as noted on the internet. On 10/17/18, I was informed by my tenant that the refrigerator was not working again and having the same problem. I contacted Friends Tek to have them go back out. They questioned if the problem was the same. I had them contact the tenant to confirm that the issue was the same. The customer service contact, ***, was extremely rude when I attempted to confirm that this repair would be made. She confirmed the appointment time of 10/19 at 3-7, and said that it would be covered under warranty at no charge. She also confirmed this to my tenant. On 10/18, *** called to say that the appointment would be cancelled unless I paid additional money to make the repair. She stated that the repair was only good for 60 days. There was no mention of this on 10/17. There was no information provided to me on the receipt for payment that the work was only good for 60 days. Every person that I have spoken to at Friends Tek is rude, and wants to talk over any request that I want to make. Referring me back to Samsung was their resolution to the issue. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

However, at the time the service was completed, their repair technician demanded payment of $85 for the service call. I refused to make the payment per the agreement that had been made. The representative contacted his office and left without the payment. Based upon the previous service, I may not know if the repair has been made correctly for 60-90 days.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Despite the fact that this company was recommended direct from Samsung they have just ripped me off for $415 dollars...While their technician was very kind and professional his diagnosis of my Dryer and replacement of 2 parts at my 1st visit was not right...My dyer continued to have the same initial symptom reported to samsung...Upon my third visit I was told it will need two additional parts costing 300-500 more dollars...Obviously no one would spend $700 plus on an old dryer when they could buy one brand new. Despite this, Friends Tek is not standing behind their work and apparently doesn't have the ethics and integrity to take back and refund the first two parts...I am now having to work with Samsung and have filed a claim to my bank...I hope they will learn to be better to their customers and that this doesn't happen to anyone else!!!

As the only Samsung service company in the area, we were forced to use this company to service a samsung washer. The reason being was the Samsung washer was in need for a backtub service. And then rescheduled once more for a part delay and was not notified of the part being delayed until Late around 5:00pm. Samsung reached out to our company due to the inconvenience and we had notified them of the matter as well.

I am sorry you were forced to use our company but because we wanted to provide a thorough job and to make sure we had all the parts so that we can complete the issue as best of our ability on one day is the reason why there was so many reschedules.
It seemed like a better option than to have your time wasted by going multiple times to see what the issue was with the unit.

Once again. I do apologize for all of the misunderstanding and inconvenience we have caused for you.We do hope your washer is fixed , so you do not have to keep waiting for repair.

The company has made four separate unsuccessful attempts to fix our Samsung drier that caught fire almost three months ago. Lack of communication between corporate Samsung, this company, and us led to one unnanounced visit to our home after Samsung told us they would be sending us a new unit. However, technicians from this company stated Samsung won't consider a replacement. During all but one of these visits the technician was rude to me and my wife, was ill equipped to handle the job, and they have made no progress in fixing the drier whatsoever. During the visits they have spent the majority of their time on the phone with Samsung, and wanted to use our WiFi, even while being rude, to video chat with Samsung.

Desired Outcome

Replacement Our complaints to Samsung about not trusting a drier that has caught fire seem to be unheeded, and we do not desire a repair of this unit because of that fact. If Samsung is unwilling to replace this unit we would like a refund.

It's difficult to find companies in the Atlanta area that will work on Samsung appliances, so I was referred by (800) Samsung to Friends Tek. I was told I would receive a phone call 24-48 hours to set up an appointment. Well that didn't happen so I had to call myself to schedule. Had my date set later that week, but during my first conversation I asked specifically, "will your technicians be able to repair the fridge on this visit. I was told, "YES", our technician carry the parts they need and it will be completed on that trip. Well, a day prior to the scheduled appointment I get a phone call saying, "the parts for the technician haven't come in yet, and we need to reschedule". My response, " ok, so again he'll have whats he needs to do the repair? No problem, I understand." I wait almost a week later and the technician shows up. No parts, no ability to do anything other than look. This of course upset me, my question. "Why did you then cancel the first appointment if there was no chance in actually fixing the appliance and this is just a diagnostic inspection. There was no reason for you to not show up for the original appointment. So now I've rearranged my schedule twice already and have to wait another week before this can get fixed. I then call the company inquiring about getting a refund for the upfront $100 fee they charged since they didn't show for their original appointment. After explaining the situation I finally asked to speak with a manager. I was put on hold and after 15 mins was then cut off. I called back, same thing, representative said they were getting the manager and was put on hold, then cut off. The second person did call me back and apologized for getting disconnected and said a manager would return my call that day. Well of course that didn't happen!! I had to call them again and finally after multiple people spoke with a manager. Then was told NO, we don't have the ability to refund that fee, the technician did come out even though it was a week later, so.....

My point to this review is this company is horrible, doesn't live up to their word and will inconvenience you in a number of ways, then tell you, well sorry there's nothing we can do about it. It is the absolute worse way you can do business!!!! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This company came to my home 3 times and I still had the same problem. *** recommends them for some reason but don't do it! I finally hired different company and no problem since. Friends Tek lied about replacing parts when they didn"t, made unauthorized charges to my credit card and could get nowhere with customer no service! Stay away from these thieves.

This company is HORRIBLE!!! He asked me to sign a waiver before he checked the 3 month old Samsung microwave. He stayed on the phone talking Chinese to Samsung - then told me that it was an installation problem that he could not check it out. I could not believe what I heard. I told him if it were an installation problem, why did it work for 3 months? He said in his broken accent... "Got to go to other job, do not have time for this". Why would Samsung use this company? Because they get out of their warranty. I had to buy another microwave. ***'s installed it. I have a signed statement from that professional installer that the microwave had been installed correctly - that the microwave should have been warranted. I would NEVER use such a bogus company! Too lazy to do their work!

First off, most appliances are built in custom into the customers house either into the cabinet in their kitchen or etc. And we are not installation professionals. We are specifically called in for their unit so we can't hold responsible for any damages that occur when we try to pull out the unit because we do not know how the unit was built in specifically. The appliances have to be readily accessible for us so that we can only fix their unit. If they give us consent, we can help them put their unit back together, but we can't guarantee that no damages can be done, especially in tight spaces. Also we are only a service center where we have to report all service calls to samsung before we are allowed to close a job. We are only doing our job to get done. And second, our company is not Chinese, we feel very discriminated with this kind of act. Our techs are Korean to get their understanding corrected and the appliances are "Samsung" and our techs were only educated on this specific brand.

Our techs get paid by each reported and completed job, we are only the messenger. If the customer feels dissatisfied with the outcome, they need to express this anger towards Samsung.
