customer for about 6 years, I have yet to have an issue. definitely recommend.

Fuel Services replaced an oil furnace an electric water heater with high efficiency propane units. They also replaced an aging central air conditioner with a heat pump. The project was done in only two days. They were very neat and clean throughout the project. They were very professional and did a great job. They also helped with available rebates. I have been a oil and propane customer for years and I highly-recommended Fuel Services .

Filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office. They claim they are required to do a tank inspection on a residential in home fuel tank prior to delivery in the State of Mass. and if you flunk.......................no delivery for you. NO SUCH LAW ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,total scam artists.

Our policy is to perform a safety tank inspection for all new customers and to tanks we have not delivered to in the previous 12 months. This is a COMPANY POLICY and a policy that is highly recommended to be followed within the industry itself. SEVERAL companies perform safety inspections. The customer was informed of this and had NO problem letting our technicians inspect his tank. There only seemed to be a problem after we informed him we wouldn't deliver to excessive rust on the tank belly and tank legs.

I have been getting my propane from Fuel Services since 2012. Their auto delivery has never left us short and customer service is always a pleasure to speak with. I do keep an eye on prices and find theirs to be very competitive.

Fast, friendly service and fixed our problem in about 30-45 minutes.

over charged on residential oil delivery.
authorized delivery of 100 gallons total of heating fuel to my home on 4/10/18. I was quoted a price of 168.00 which I charged to my credit card. I was delivered 180.7 gallons due to an error of the office staff at fuel services. I am now expected to pay the balance of the bill on the account of someone else's mistake.

Desired Outcome

I feel as though I shouldn't be held responsible for a clerical error that was made by office staff. I am a sigle mom of 2 on fuel assistance and my budget is tight. I authorized a 100 gallon delivery and expected 100 gallons to be delivered.

FSi Oil And Propane Response • Aug 09, 2018

This issue is from an incidental meter overage from a delivery of fuel oil done by us on 4/10/18. Customer was immediately made aware of the overage and was offered a discounted price for the extra gallons. Customer contacted us on 6/29/18 via telephone to pay the balance with a credit card but card was declined. Customer informed us they would call back with a different credit card but as of 8/9/18 we have yet to hear back from customer.

New HVAC system installed 3rd quarter 2016, AC will not cool second floor.
Last Year (2016) in Oct/Nov I had Fuel Services install a new HVAC system which included a furnace, AC unit, and Heat Pump. The install went fairly well except for it taking a couple days longer than expected. Furnace and Heat Pump worked great all winter. Come to Summer 2017 and I turn on the AC, the second floor of my house never cools down. I have the first floor set to 70 and on a hot day it will be 79 - 80 degrees upstairs while the first floor is satisfied. Fuel Services solution turn the thermostat down on the first floor. In order to get it comfortable upstairs I have to set the thermostat to 62 degrees. Making my first floor and ice box. Had fuel services out twice to look at the system. They have said both times that the system is running properly and that I needed a specialist to come out and look at it. They give me contact information for a third party in order for me to setup. I called the third party and they never respond. Nice people that Fuel Services recommends. I called to cancel my fuel delivery from them. They inquired why, I explained the situation. The very kind customer service rep asked me to give her some time to consult the completely inept service manager, when she called me back it was to schedule pick up of the propane tanks that are theirs. No attempt to fix the issue at all. The sales and service managers are hands off with all problems except to try to explain to you the inner workings of excuses they come up with to not address the problem. I spent 13K on this HAVC system and it will not keep my second floor cool unless I have two fans moving air from downstairs up my stairwell. What a great investment. Now I have to find a new HVAC company that can complete the job they couldn't do and I am sure invest additional money. If you are replacing equipment or adding additional HVAC features to your home, I recommend staying away from them. If you need fuel delivered, that is about what they can handle.

Desired Outcome

I would like Fuel Service to schedule sub contractors that can fix the issue they say they are not experienced enough to fix and present all options, solutions and costs associated with them to me.

Case Number XXXXXX - Mr. ***

Revdex.com Complaint Response:

July 27th, 2017
My name is Joshua *** and I handle the HVAC sales for Fuel Services, Inc. I personally sold the system in question to this customer last year.
I have reviewed the complaint submitted by our customer and have personally reached out to him a few times over the past week. We have spoken multiple times throughout this time frame and also arranged a visit from myself and my service manager to personally visit the site to address the issues he is having. I want to start by saying it is truly unfortunate that this had to be resolved through the Revdex.com as all it would have taken was one phone call or email to me from the customer and he would have had a phone call back within the day to address the problem. My first notice of any issues regarding his system from the customer came as an email to our company's general inbox stating that he had submitted a complaint to the Revdex.com and was very unhappy with the systems performance on his second floor. Once I received his email I immediately called and left a message on his cell phone to discuss the issues he was having.
Some basic details: We installed a high-efficiency heating and cooling system in his house last fall. His existing system used to be an older style oil furnace without any air conditioning. His house is a two-story colonial and we were using the existing ductwork for the new system. There is only one zone in the house. A Manual J Heat Loss was done to ensure proper sizing of the AC system.

To address the issues listed out in the complaint:
The installation did go very well - however inspections from the town as well as the propane tank installation required a few follows up calls that were not originally scheduled. The customer also was not home on the last day of the install for my crew to go through the system operation so we arranged for our Service manager to meet with him on the day after Thanksgiving (the customer had that day off so it was the best fit for his schedule) to go over the basic operation and any questions he may have had.
Unfortunately, once cooling season began the customer had some issues of cooling his second floor. Due to using the customers existing duct system and only having one zone in the house, the second floor was always warmer than the first floor. This is a very common issue when the ductwork isn't adequate to the second floor since heat naturally rises and cold air drops.
When the customer called with his initial issue we immediately set up a service call for one of our AC technicians. Our tech went through his entire system and also looked for dampers in the basement to try and close off some air flow to the first floor to help improve the air flow to the second floor. Unfortunately, the ductwork was lacking dampers to most (if not all) of the runs. Our tech spent over an hour and a half trying to do anything he could do to fix the issue with the air flow problems to the second floor with the systems he had in the house. He spoke to our service manager who told him that there wasn't much more we could do with the existing system (as the A/C mechanical system itself was operating properly) and that the customer would most likely need to add more ductwork to the second floor to achieve the results he was looking for. We then referred the customer to a ductwork company who specializes in these issues. Unfortunately, the company we referred the customer to did not return his call. I do however wish the customer called me to let me know this, as I could have made a few phone calls myself to address this issue and make sure someone got out there to take care it.
Moving forward to today, I have been in contact with our customer multiple times, he has my personal cell phone where he can reach me anytime, and I personally went to his house with our Service manager to begin identifying potential solutions to his issue. We also have a Ductwork company scheduled to go to his house the first week of August to get their opinion on the possible solutions they come up with. During our visit, my Service manager noticed a few issues - most notable being that there are only 4 supply's on the second floor, one of which seems to actually be disconnected and one is being blocked by a bed on the second floor. Also, the A/C system is not left on during the day and the fan is not kept running.
These are the stats from the day we visited: 2:30pm - 91 degrees outside temp / 44 % humidity. Thermostat was set to maintain 85 degrees all day and the fan was not set to circulate. The first-floor temperature was reading 72 degrees (with the system off) and the second floor was reading 78 degrees.
After visiting the site with my Service manager, I called the customer to go over everything we observed. I also suggested a few things he should try in the meantime to get his second floor to a more comfortable temperature. The first suggestion was to leave the AC system on during the day but to set the temperature to a higher setting while away so that the system would be able to cool down the house much faster upon arriving home - as well as keep the humidity in the house at a constant throughout the day. The second was to leave the high efficiency blower running on circulate mode during the day - this will help mix the air between the floors without using the energy that the A/C system would use.
After the site visit from the ductwork company is completed next week and they have a chance to put together their solutions, I will be setting up a second meeting with the customer to go over all potential solutions and costs to address the second-floor cooling situation. I also let the customer know that he can contact me if there is anything he needs in the meantime.
We have been in business for over 30 years and always stand behind our work. We install hundreds of systems each year - most of which come to us from customer referrals. We want each of our customers to enjoy their new heating and cooling systems - and we take pride in knowing that they are trusting us to keep them comfortable in their homes year-round. We will be working with this customer to find the best overall solution to his problem and will see that steps are taken to address the issue.
Sincerely,

Joshua ***
