Dear Revdex.com, Unfortunately we were notified by Excel Homes that they were experiencing internal problems and they recommended that we not order anymore houses from them until they were able to work through their issues. We immediately began to make arrangements with two other companies that
we buy from to be able to give our customers that were affected a viable choice. This has caused us to not be able to meet the original time line that we had planned. We have committed to keeping her informed of when we expect to see the home completed by Custom Building Systems LLC (CBS Homes) and will do our best t finish the home once we have it delivered from the factory. I am attaching a copy of the contract for your reviewShortly after the home was set the customer wanted to make changes to the foundation and other aspects of the site work on the projectYou will notice we had an original Schedule A dated 4/29/The home was set 10/17/13, and thereafter, Schedule A was amended on 1114/In June of I personally met with the customer to review his punch list of items he felt needed to becompletedI am attaching a copy of this punch list in the form of the "Outstanding Issues 6-24-14"As you can see, the parties agreed to the remaining punch list itemsG&I completed all these items and extra items (at an additional expense of roughly $23,to G&l) to bring closure to the projectWhen all items were completed, the customer would not accept the finish on the garage floor and brought up additional punch list items. To date a balance of $12,remains due and owing to G&I. At this time it is our belief that the parties will not be able to resolve their disputeAs the customer submitted his complaint to the Revdex.com, G&I requests that this matter be referred to the Revdex.com's binding arbitration divisionPlease note paragraph of our contract with the customer authorizing G&I, in its sole discretion, to select arbitration to resolve all disputes. The company is not being truthfull the work was never completed In reguard to the well I am talking about mud not stains we have checked the water and there is no iron in my waterWe brought water sample to the office and everyone said they would not drink it at all We never received the missing shelvesWe were never informed of the changes to the kitchen from the model they were not done by usa few weeks ago they said they were bringing the missing shelves and they never did the concrete slab is cracked it was never repaired and the driveway was not done properly the driveway is not regular gravel.And we were told that the salesman would not know what could be changed and what could and I kept sending emails to them with the problems and I was told to stop bothering themI do have more pictures to provide and you can have send some to check it outAt this point we want a refund and not have this fixed . I have a lot of other Pictures but for some reason I cannot send multiple picture

*** Complaint All the issues of the home have been completed by G&I Homes IncI have personally inspected home with technician and work was performed that was agreed toThe ***'s have complained about the stains from the water on their sinks and fixtures. It
appears that they have hard water that needs to be treated. We had a well drilled for them our contract was only to supply water, we do not offer services for conditioning water and did not have in our contract. There were some nails showing on the roof and a few shingles torn on inspection, all roof repairs were completed on 11/3/All windows worked properly during our inspectionThe Driveway does have gravel in it as per the quote, it still has gravel there today The ***'s made changes to the kitchen cabinets when they ordered their homeThe manufacture shelving was different to some degree to what the model was. We ordered and received the parts and they refused to have us work on them and stated they would install if we provided the shelves, which they were providedThe center floor petition was done by the manufacturer the way it was supposed to be completedThere was no mold on the front door, and the complaint is about the exterior of the front door, which just needs cleaning maintenanceThe ***'s refused to allow us to work on the exhaust duct or to repair any drywall in home as they did not want any dust due to medical reasonsWe showed them where the well and septic are located on propertyOnce again, customer refused to have any sheet rock work performed on the home after they moved inKitchen came as ordered by customer There are no issues with the power on home and lights dimming, had electrician check it outWater works fine, they are on a well and maybe they are referring to when the pump kicks on and off. Did not see any issues when running water at the home They were given *** *** contact *** to have tub repaired. They need to contact him directly to have tub repairedThe home is level All service work has been completed for them , the sale of G&I Homes Assets to Clayton Homes has not caused any disruptions in service. Home was completed prior to the sale taking place17. Concrete cracks and is very common , they have minor cracking on slab, very common, not structural issues upon inspection Repair was already completedThere are no issues with driveway , it is level with gravel installed There are no outstanding issues for warranty with this home, G&I Homes has completed all work requested. My understanding is that the fireplace company has a repair technician at Mr**'s home today 3-8-and G & I Homes Incwill replace the piece of trim and also the ripped duct work that he has reported. I have a question regarding the follow up complaint is there a number to reach someone at the Revdex.com to discuss this with? Joe BG & I Homes Inc

Both inspectors pointed out the roof was not installed properly. The currently condition of the roof is not the result of anything else other than the poor work done by G&I Homes in 2008.

This home was completed in May of 2008, and at that time claimant took possession of the home and, upon information and belief, received a certificate of occupancy. In May of 2008 G&I Homes completed each and every punch list item presented to it by claimant to ensure the home met or...

exceeded all of her standards and expectations. G&I Homes has received no calls or complaints from claimant until September of 2017, over nine (9) years after the home was completed. The allegations made by claimant in September of 2017 are not covered by any warranty set forth in contract or law. G&I  respectfully declined to perform warranty work due to the fact that over nine (9) years had passed since claimant began residing in and enjoying her home. Sincerely,David J. page 3 number VI.# 3 where they signed and initialed about furnace repairs on the home. It clearly states G&I Homes does not warranty the furnace repairs and the customer needs to use a warranty provided to not be invoiced for services provided. l explained this to the customer but she did not want to hear about being informed this prior to receiving the home. G&I will not reimburse for this service. ·As for the service I am attaching all the service calls we have made to the customer home. G&I Homes remain willing, ready and able to perform any legitimate warranty service required on this home. I would also be willing to schedule a Saturday service call as requested by the customer. I have tentatively scheduled to be there with a service tech on Saturday 3/26/16 AM to complete work order #6 sent overSincerely, David B[redacted]Manager, Customer

G&I Homes Inc. has...

received the materials from the manufacture  and have scheduled to do  work on this complaint on Friday 6/3/16.  G&I Homes remains ready willing and able to complete any legitimate service warranty complaints and will not authorize an outside party doing this work .  G&I had to order the parts from the manufacturer which created the delay. We were waiting for the parts to arrive from the factory to come back out and finish up the remaining service items. We have a technician scheduled to be there this Friday January 29th. G & I Homes remains ready, willing and able to take care of any legitimate warranty issues on the...

home. Also I have copied and pasted the email that was sent to Mr. [redacted] today regarding his roof from the factory which is done correctly. Mr. [redacted],  We put Ice Guard on the eave of every home we build.  The Ice Guard starts at the drip edge and is about 36” wide.   We also put shingle underlayment paper on every home.  It covers the entire roof and lays over the top of the Ice Guard at the eaves.  Upon receiving your email, I asked G&I to please have someone look at your roof.  Gary from G&I Homes has pulled up some shingles on the front and rear eave of your home  and found that the Ice Guard and shingle underlayment paper were applied as per our specifications.  (photos attached).
