Business stated that they could suppress negative press articles about me to at least page 2 when my name was searched through various internet search
Approximately nine months ago I contacted Gadook for reputation management services. I spoke with owner/founder David D throughout my entire time with Gadook. The service I requested was to have my name suppressed when "googling" searching it on the internet. I was involved in a government workplace violation and charged for a computer crime almost two years ago. The charge has since been dismissed but the 4-5- articles reflecting the incident remain clearly on the first page (often the first article) when searching my name in various ways. I spoke each month with Mr. D regarding my growing displeasure and negative results in achieving what I paid for. I provided him with the necessary means in assisting him with this issue. I was not naïve in thinking my name and incident would just disappear, but rather I was constantly assured by Mr. D that Gadook would suppress it far enough back making my name/incident difficult to locate. Mr. D stated that he would create positive sites and information attached to my name suppressing the negative, ultimately putting the suppressed information to page 2 or 3. This clearly was not the case and I feel Mr.D*** clearly misrepresented his ability in doing so. The agreement was month to month, paying $900 through my discover card to Gadook via their website. With each month I was informed by Mr.D*** that this type of work takes time and it could take the full six months, possible eight months to achieve the desired results. While I do not disagree that work was done, it simply and clearly did not work. I have an abundance of back and forth correspondence with Mr. D in emails throughout the contracted time I have been a customer of Gadook as well as payment receipts.

Desired Outcome

I kindly request reimbursement in the amount of $5,400.00 I paid this company $900 a month each month for six months with the promise of agreed upon results to no avail. I emailed company with my displeasure and requested a refund of monies paid. No response from the company was sent.

It looks like approximately 50% of the 6 negative search results you are concerned about were suppressed beyond page 3 for the 8 key phrases you are concerned with. The original agreement called for 3 phrases and 3 results but I will check and verify that is correct. Typically, our limit is 3 search results and 3 key phrases pushed back one page but you have much more you are concerned about. Some of that was added recently. I need to check to see what the original agreement involved and why there are more than allowed listed in your file. You mention that you have correspondence you are referencing so I will go through all that which is substantial - I personally have hundreds of pages of emails alone but that would include in-house correspondence. I will also bounce that against the recorded phone conversations as they may help explain the extra listed work beyond the maximum. The amount you paid was for an estimate according to the documentation and the price was not guaranteed according to the documentation. Our guarantee is that if the result according to the proposal is not achieved we will continue for free until it is achieved as proposed. I attached a copy of the original proposal and will also determine what was not accomplished per proposal. This may take several business days for me to do all this. Once I do all that I will call a company meeting and find out what to do here. I am not owner of the company and standard operating procedure requires a meeting to determine the outcome.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Their response states 50% of the three searches was supressed. This makes very little sense because the goal would be need to be 100% to be successful. It would relate to buying 50% of a car. There was never any agreement regarding an amount of types of searches. 50% is unsatisfactory since the other 50% still shows and completely makes the whole point for doing this moot. I feel there was promises of results that could not be obtained by this company. I allowed plenty of time for this to work and towards the end of the agreement I was not receiving much feedback. I have numerous emails as well in which I would not want to make public should they reveal this company's private trade secrets of their business. I simply paid for a service and was extremely dissatisfied at the results and request at the absolute minimum, 50% of my money back. This would reflect their 50% success of the job in which they promised 100% results.

If we can give it another 60 days and not have success we can refund the 50% as demanded.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I will accept the company's proposal that they will satisfy our agreement by giving them an additional 60 days to do so. I'm simply looking for my first and last name when searched with or without "police" or Aberdeen" "Chris or Christopher" being attached along with it, not to reveal the negative article in question on the first two pages of popular search engines. Should this be successful, I will gladly not reopen this complaint and cease to proceed further with any negative claims or suits. However should Gadook fail to achieve this, I would accept 50% of the paid fee returned to me as they indicated they would.

Gadook did SEO for me that is functional and optimized to show up in the search engines. They're very easy to talk to and they ask all the right questions to find out what I want (even when I didn't know what that is).

This is a scam co. running several fake websites (both out of Pakistan and Orlando area) promising to help people with internet reputation, then not delivering services, trying to extort extra money from you to help address the issue they created and they are not accurately reporting website registration; also attempting to blackmail customers.
