Corrupt liars scammers. Totally worthless insurance company. Totally recommend getting lawyer involved

+1

Get a attorney ASAP. Worthless POS compamy. They wont respond to call or emails. Total loosers

+1

They were terrible and nasty. I was handled as if I was the problem and not a client; threatened and hung up on. I received a call to be reprimanded and not even called to be helped

Really nasty acting people zero out of five really underhanded liars just to attempt to get you off of their insurance payments disgusting.

The WORST company I have ever had to deal with. I had a work related accident and have been dealing with this company for almost a year. If you have to go through Gallagher Basset, expect to NEVER be able to reach your agent, or any helpful agent for that matter, and also expect every aspect of your claim to be stress filled and messed up. They billed my personal insurance for the surgery, take weeks to actually get a hold of, try to cut corners in an effort not to pay what is owed, and took almost 3 months to get me my paycheck while I was down from surgery. When I finally got a hold of the agent to discuss my check, telling them that I need to buy food and pay rent since my savings were exhausted from the last 2 months of not getting paid, I was told that I will "just have to wait, and tell my landlord to wait". How is that okay? For my second surgery my doctors, physical therapists and myself were unable to get a hold of the agent for quite a while, and now that I have been down again for surgery I can expect to not see any pay for a while. This place is extremely unprofessional and the stress of dealing with them was worse than the extensive surgeries.

New to work comp but it has already been a week and still have not been contacted after several messages. I am not looking forward to this long journey to struggle with them especially after reading many reviews. Maybe a personal attorney would help me more?? We live paycheck to paycheck and cannot afford to pay out of pocket for everything that they should be paying for!!!

On 3/17/20 I was injured. It took my job almost 2 weeks to file a workers comp claim. At First When speaking with kimberely she was giving me the impression once she received my medical records that it would be a easy process. I had to hire a lawyer because they would not accept my claim even though they approved me for physically therapy. As of today they have my medical records ,I'm finished with my physical therapy but we still have no resolution .Other then the usual ignoring of emails.

Gallagher Bassett received Ms.s's worker's compensation claim on 03/26/2020. During the initial contact with Ms., on 04/06/2020, she was advised at that time that her claim would require an investigation which included a review of the medical records associated with her injury, before a decision on whether the claim would be accepted or denied. Ms. did sign the requested medical records authorization and waiver on 04/07/2020, and Gallagher Bassett sent a request for the records on 04/08/2020, 04/13/2020 and 04/15/2020 without a response.

On 04/21/2020, Gallagher Bassett received a letter of representation from ***.

Gallagher Bassett continued with their attempts to secure the medical, and approved physical therapy and an EMG in good faith while we continued our investigation.

Records were received on 05/06/2020 and 05/12/2020 from the parties requested. We advised Ms. attorney on 05/12/2020 that the records had been received and a decision would be forthcoming. Litigation has been initiated on this matter, and both Ms. and Gallagher Bassett are represented by counsel.

As this matter does require the involvement of counsel for both parties, South Carolina's Worker's Compensation system is the proper jurisdiction to address any opinions on additional benefits.

Due to the fact that both Gallagher Bassett and Ms. are represented by attorneys on this worker's compensation claim. Any further communication or concerns should be done through the attorneys assigned to this matter.

In early January I was rear ended by someone with this insurance. It is now June and I still not have received the full payment. My car note was paid off but I have not been given the rest of the agreed payout. This is after several miscommunications and messes ups from the claim adjusters end. The first adjuster I had refused to call *** to communicate and tried to basically make me do his job by trying to have them contact me. Now the current adjuster is dragging her feet about communicating with me about paper work that needs to be mailed instead of faxed. The adjuster goes days to weeks without any form of communication on what she needs from me.This claim should have been done months ago.

This claim is handled by Gallagher Bassett.

Ms.' bank, PNC, did not issue a Letter of Guarantee until 03/31/2020. A full payment could not be made until that documentation was received. The vehicle's title was also required before a payment could be issued, and a copy of that title was not provided to Gallagher Bassett until 04/21/2020. While Gallagher Bassett did receive Ms.' property damage release on 05/01/2020, we needed the Power of Attorney form. The form that was received on 05/22/2020 was an incorrect form, and so the an e-mail was sent to Ms. on 06/01/2020. When it was not returned, a second copy was sent on 06/13/2020. The office handling her claim spoke to her on 06/18/2020 and were able to receive the additional information needed to issue a payment on that date, which was sent via *** to Ms.. A check for the remaining balance was issued today and will be mailed on 06/26/2020 via regular mail.

We hope this resolves Ms.' concerns and her claim.

Thank you.

My finger was cut off on to he job while performing my regular duties. This company is responsible for making sure that Im compensated while I'm not working. My claim was approved but now there saying that since my employer had work available that I could've went to work right after my finger was cut off. Although the doctors from two separate institutions ordered me not to return to work. Moreover my employer has just given me a formal schedule to return to work and it's now more that 2 months after the accident. I have returned to work and it took two months to heal properly. The claims adjuster Nancy, and Carmen have not helped me at all during this time. The company transfered me from Carmen to Keith(via email) & from Keith to Nancy without any notifications. I don't want to be compensated for any days that I returned to work.which has been a slow process.During this hardship I've had to battle Covid-19, my finger amputation,no work and homelessness,HIV with my service dog all due to not being compensated from Gallerger Bassett claims adjusters and their lack of company policy, unprofessional customer relations and their lack of risk management knowledge. I continue to suffer due to this.

Gallagher Bassett is handling Mr.-***' worker's compensation claim.
Mr.-*** was first evaluated at *** Permanente Emergency Room on 3/27/2020. He indicated a diagnosis of the right ring finger amputation. He was sent to the industrial clinic where he was first seen on 04/08/2020 and diagnosed with a partial amputation due to the tip of the finger being cut off. He was given modified work restrictions that included the use of a splint on right upper extremity (hand) and no use of the right upper extremity. He was re-evaluated at *** Occupational Medicine on 04/13/2020, 4/23/2020 and 4/28/2020. The same restrictions were given at each of these evaluations. Mr.-*** had a scheduled evaluation for possible discharge on 5/30/2020 which was not attended.

Records from *** Permanente will not be released without a signed release. A request for a signed medical release was sent to Mr.-*** on 04/8/2020 and 05/12/2020. Our office has not received the release nor have we been billed for emergency room services.

Mr.-*** spoke with Nancy *** on 05/07/2020 where he requested Temporary Total Disability benefits. Nancy communicated that he was released to modified duty. Mr.-***’ employer confirmed that modified duty answering phones and helping print labels was offered. The modified work was within his restrictions. It is noted that he did work modified duty on 5/5/2020 but then failed to report back to work on 5/9/2020

Based on the above information, our office is unable to verify medical evidence for lost time. His employer made a good-faith offer of modified work based on the work restrictions. Our office will re-evaluate disability once we are able to obtain the records from *** Permanent. The Workers Compensation claim does not involve COVID19.

It is acknowledged that the file transferred from Carmen Scott to Nancy ***. However, it is noted that Carmen Scott attempted to reach Mr.-*** via telephone messages and email on over six occasions. It was not until 05/07/2020 that someone from Gallagher Bassett was able to reach Mr.-***.

I have had an amazing experience with this company so far...I'm new to workmen comp & have always heard horror stories of people trying to receive there payments... My case is just a short term/few weeks out of work claim... Regardless, very pleased at how fast my agent returned my call & answered every question I asked & was very kind & courtesy...

I have been waiting three months for a property damage resolution. It took the company two months after I sent them a estimate, for them to ask for another estimate.I sent them another estimate they asked for, which was almost two weeks ago,as of yet no reply.my property is getting worse with the rain we have had.I have been waiting three months to get this resolved.I am tired of getting the run around. If the Revdex.com can put a fire under them,I would be very thankful. sincerely,John

Since receiving notice of this
claim, Gallagher Bassett has been working diligently with our named insured’s retail
insurance agent to clarify issues related to coverage for this loss. Mr. was not scheduled as an approved driver on the policy at the
time of the loss. In order for coverage to be afforded for any
particular driver, they must be reported to Underwriters and be approved to be
added to the driver schedule. In this case, Underwriters advise that they never
received such a request to add this driver. However, the retail insurance agent
contended that they did submit the request to add the involved driver and our
office has been awaiting receipt of documentation supporting that contention. We recently learned that the
retail agent cannot provide us with documentation to prove that they submitted
the request to add this involved driver prior to the subject loss.
Accordingly, we will be issuing a formal disclaimer of coverage to our named
insured followed by a denial letter to the claimant. However, after discussions with
our insured’s retail insurance agent, they have agreed to pay Mr. directly for this loss. Per their communication with their office, the check was issued on 06/10/2020 for $610.00. Gallagher Bassett also called Mr. on 06/10/2020 to advise that a check had been mailed. We hope that this sufficiently
addresses the issued raised by Mr..

I felt marginalized and dismissed by this company. Particularly by the Senior Resolution Manager.

Making excuses. Verbal abuse towards minor children. Speaking to the injured party with a tone of impatience. Use of misleading tactics. Encouraging clients to prevaricate about documentation. Communicating in ways that can be easily misunderstood, as well as talking down to the client during phone conversations. Forcing clients to wait for long periods of time for compensation payments without apology or ACTUAL explanation. Failing to respond to clients in a timely manner.
I myself have informed said adjuster and her supervisor that I no longer wish to continue correspondence with said adjuster and any further contact from GALLAGER BASSETT SERVICES INC regarding the claim should be from a different employee ,supervisor or colleague of YAZHMIN.

A *** truck ran into my condo balcony on Oct 31st, 2019 causing both exterior and interior damages. The driver left the scene without leaving his information. The next day, I went to my local *** center tried to track down the driver. *** manager Carlos *** admitted that his driver hit my condo and told me the driver was fired for misconduct. He took my contact information and told me that his insurance company Gallagher Bassett will contact me. I waited for 3 months and no one ever contacts me. During those 3 months period, I visited *** 3 times and ask them to file a claim but each time they just told me to wait. So I filed a police report of "Hit and Run" as my record.
A week after the accident, Los Angeles area started to rain heavily for weeks. The rainwater went into my living room wall through the cracks caused by this accident. On Feb 10th, *** gave me Gallagher Bassett 's phone number and ask me to call them directly. So I contacted Cathy *** and filed a claim. But Gallagher Bassett continued to delay the repair for 2 more months. By today, they still play the tactic of delay while my area suffered heavy rains.
There are 3 main damages caused by the *** truck. (1) Cracked and Leaking wall (2) Cracked ceiling (3) Cracked balcony surface. The total estimated repair cost is $6000 But Gallagher Bassett only offers me $3200 for the repair. I had 4 contractors visited my house, most of them suspect mold has gown inside the wall since the first leak 5 months ago after the accident. Further repair delay may even cause health hazards.

Please be advised that Gallagher
Bassett (GB) is a third party claims administrator handling claims on behalf of
*** Fire Insurance Company (***) and its insured, United
Parcel Service, Inc. (***). The complainant in this case, Tao ***, is a
third party liability claimant with no direct business relationship with
***, nor ***, outside of his involvement in this accident with the
*** vehicle.This incident occurred on 10/31/19
in California. It was reported to GB on 11/01/19. The initial information
regarding the facts of this loss indicated that while in the course of
delivery, the *** vehicle collided with the building and caused damage to the
condominium Mr. was residing at. When the loss was initially reported to
us, we did not have contact information available for Mr.. Our initial
contact attempt was completed with a representative of the building’s
Homeowners Association (HOA) on 11/04/19. We were able to reach the
representative by phone on 11/06/19 and we were advised that we will be
provided with the repair estimate on the damage to the building. We called the
representative again on 11/14/19 requesting the repair estimate. We did not
hear back from the HOA representative until we were contacted directly by Mr.
*** on 02/10/20. This was our first contact with Mr.. On that day, we
advised Mr. that we will be assigning an independent appraisal company,
*** Adjusters (***), to inspect the damage to the condominium and we
also advised Mr. of his duties and responsibilities to mitigate his
damages. We assigned *** to inspect the damages on 02/11/20.
On 02/29/20 *** prepared an appraisal in the amount of $3,218.70 which
appears to be the amount Mr. is referring to in his complaint; however,
this amount is related to the damages sustained and presented by the HOA and
not the damages sustained by Mr.. Our understanding is that the appraiser
from *** has also been in contact with Mr. throughout this process
and was helping Mr. in obtaining a reasonable bid from a contractor of
Mr.’s choosing to complete the repairs. On 04/09/20 we received an
appraisal from *** In the agreed amount of $6,407.82 between *** and
Mr.’s contractor. However, we have also been advised that Mr.’s
condominium may have suffered some mold damage as a result of the rainfall that
had occurred during the process. As such, it has been agreed with Mr.
that an additional and supplemental estimate will be prepared by *** once
the work on Mr.’s property has started and the extent of the
additional damages are known. In the meantime, we have issued a check for the
undisputed amount of $6,407.82 to Mr. and we will finalize the settlement
of Mr.’s property damage claim once the additional amount of the damages
and repair costs are known and as needed.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Tao

We have submitted the claim ***-***-AD-01 very long time ago. The representative Kimberly *** on March 5 sent the email that we supposed to receive the check any day. No check came. I have emailed multiple times to Kimberly asking when and where the check was mailed. She is NOT RESPONDING TO MY EMAILS, NOR VOICEMAILS.

A review of Ms ***'s referenced claim number shows that a check was issued on 02/28/2020, but remained outstanding in our system. Ms. contacted Ms. on 04/07/2020 and confirmed that the check was not received, that we had the correct mailing address, and the address that was provided was able to receive mail due to the current COVID-19 restrictions. Ms. did confirm the address and confirmed that mail could be received. We have issued an overnight draft to Ms. attention via UPS on 04/08/2020, with anticipated receipt of 04/09/2020 and provided her the tracking number. Should there be an issue with the receipt of this check, Ms. may contact Ms. directly at Kimberly_***@gbtpa.com, or her supervisor, Ed Marunyak at ***@gbtpa.com, or .

We hope this has resolved the matter and we apologize for the inconvenience.

If I could give a 0 star I would. My boyfriend was in an accident all the way back in early December 2019. A miller electric company driver who is insured by Gallagher Basset ran a red light and smashed into his vehicle that was left to him by his grandfather who passed away rendering it completely totaled. It wasnt until the end of December Richard ***, after numerous calls and finally getting a hold of someone who had to force him to call us, finally reached out. Since then all other correspondence was done via email which wasn't much. After getting the title of the vehicle over to Mr. Jones he informed us that there was a lein holder on the vehicle (which there isn't) and telling us that he would have to pay them first before my boyfriend saw any money. We were confused and asked for Richard to reach out multiple, multiple times to correct this issue to no avail. Finally after threatening to report to the Revdex.com he got back to us saying he would reach out, and he still hasn't. It is now March and my boyfriend it STILL out of a vehicle and a reliable way to and from work because Gallagher Basset and Richard Jones do not care! This entire process has been a disaster, it is like pulling teeth to get a response and the business practices here are a joke!!

I agree with everything the other reviewers are saying.
I have called almost everyday for a MONTH! leaving messages and nothing, no one answers. I cannot possibly believe they have a A+ rating with so many complaints on their record!!!. I have contacted my insurance so they can deal with them. I don't know how this company stays in business, they are a scam!

Gallagher Bassett in Mechanicsburg, PA
I was struck by a semi truck from *** Trucking that hit my car and pushed me backwards when he let it roll 20-30 ft back at a signal, slightly damaging my front end but also caused my airbag light to come/stay on. First Kimberly K at Gallagher Bassett Services pretended she wanted all the information and pictures, then they sent me a letter stating they could not "entertain" my claim. They know I'm out of state where the driver hit me and I don't have pics of the back of the truck to prove the height of the back bar on the trailer, so they are shafting me. What's it gonna cost them to have the ins co pay for the truck driver's incompetence? $1-2G? That's about what I make a month and I live paycheck to paycheck and now I have to pay out of pocket or my car won't pass inspections. As if I, a single woman would follow a male truckdriver down the highway to stop him at night risking my life to accuse him of hitting my car for what other reason? They refuse to pay for the damages. So disgusting. I have finally lost my temper and I am not going to hold back on them telling them what I think of them and this situation even if I seem out of line. Who enjoys screwing victims over like they do? I think this is fun for them to hold their power over people like me and many I read in the reviews on here and on ***.

In June of 2019 I was dining at the *** when a waiter spilled a glass of water all over my toddler daughter and my phone that was on the table. My phone was immediately having issues and I spoke with the manager who filed a claim through Gallagher Basset. The adjuster called a phone that was not mine, one time. I have since called back no less than 30 times over the last 6 months and have left SEVERAL messages for the adjuster Alessandra. I have been given two emails that come back as undelivered. It is abundantly clear that this company avoids you at all costs until you give up. I absolutely refuse to let that happen & I will not stop until I receive a full reimbursement for my phone that was completely destroyed at absolutely no fault but the businesses.

Gallagher Bassett Services Response • Jan 13, 2020

We received the complaint on this file and the noted attempts at contact on the matter. The previous claims handler Ms. was in contact with was no longer with the company, and unfortunately the e-mail attempts did not come through to the branch. Ms. Sandra ***, the new assigned claims handler, reviewed Ms. claim and reached out to her via phone on 01/07/2020 and was able to secure the necessary information from Ms. to process her request. A resolution was reached on 01/07/2020 between Ms. and Gallagher Bassett and a check was issued on 01/07/2020.

Should there be any further concerns, the assigned claims handler, Sandra *** can be reached at or at sandy_***@gbtpa.com.

Thank you.

I was injured in a rear end collision while working. GB is the comp carrier, and has done nothing but jerk me around for 5 months. I was getting weekly benefit payments in a timely fashion until November. Then the checks are sometimes coming weekly, and other times bi-weekly. What a crap company. My adjuster Joe *** is a horrible person, with an attitude that we get most people canned
