Gasoline Alley Auto Sales

I purchased a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer after finding it on their website. I went to the dealership and met Mike, our salesman. He showed us the vehicle and it was in great shape with good miles. He was honest about a couple of small issues the vehicle had which were taking care of. The sales process was very easy and Mike was great. About a month after the purchase I felt some engine shaking so I immediately called and spoke to Tim the service manager. I took it in the following day and received a call from him that evening. They looked at it up and down and could find nothing wrong. They even went ahead and changed all the sparks plugs just in case. After picking it up that seemed to take care of the problem and I have no other problems. Thank you!!

Review: My wife and I unfortunately purchased a vehicle from this place. On our first trip down there we arrived at 5:45 not knowing that they close at 6. You'd think someone would want to make a sale stay a little late and make their customers happy but several employees walked by without a word. The next day we went down and took our new "project" car for a test drive. On the test drive I noticed the vehicle was pulling to the right, the a/c wasnt cold and a weird noise was coming from the belt/pulleys. Salesman [redacted] promised us these issues would be taken care of. The next day when we went down there to actually purchase the vehicle we were told the noise was actually the intake, which was a lie because its coming from the alternator. We were also told the vehicle was pulling to the right because one of the tires was low on air pressure and that if it was still pulling after we left to call him and to quote [redacted] "We'll work something out" which ended up with My wife getting a phone call from the manager who was very rude and said they wouldn't do anything about it because they don't have the equipment there to do it and it wasn't in writing. And how about those tires that they filled? Well they totally neglected the back two and one of them is shredded now due to the bad alignment/ low air. We would not have purchased this vehicle if we weren't lead to believe our issues would be handled even if they weren't in writing.

The customers issues of :(1) Air Conditioning was repaired before delivery.(2) Noisy belt/pulleys was also repaired before delivery (was the belt tensioner).(3) Low air pressure/ pulling there was a tire low on air, we put air in the tire as well. However, the wheels and tires were both aftermarket (oversized) and the customer was aware of what they were not standard factory equipment. With that being said, the vehicle was inspected by a certified Virginia State Inspection and all tires as well as other components required by state law passed this process. We are proactive and disclose any promises at the point of sale and put everything in writing so there is no confusion. With that being said, the customer had signed the "we owe" which does list all promised items. On that form there was one item to recharge the air conditioning that again, was done before delivery. Please advise if you need any more information.
