Buying fine jewelry online understandably gave us pause but finding a gemstone engagement ring that fit what I hand in mind at any brick-and-mortar was challenging and/or unaffordable. After some research, my fiancé found Gemvara and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to purchase not just my engagement ring but my wedding band also from here. The quality is great and the customer service is even better. After receiving my wedding band, I was disheartened to find that the gemstone colors didn’t match the shade of my solitaire on my engagement ring, of the same stone. When I contacted customer service they immediately suggested I send both rings in and they would try to match them or provide alternative stone options. I will never buy fine jewelry anywhere else.

Purchased a wedding ring. Fairly priced, nice design. Timely communication. Years later when I had the ring repaired Gemvara was again great to deal with.

Following through with a jewelry purchase online can be a daunting experience. Seeing a piece of jewelry in person is always a more visually soothing journey for those of us seeking the perfect gift for those we hold dear. Now, several Gemvara purchases later, I am very thankful for discovering this wonderful company. The shopping experience is very user friendly and organized, and the customization of each piece of jewelry allows you to see all the possibilities you could imagine. Each time my order arrives I'm stunned at the beauty and craftsmanship. I am not unfamiliar with designing jewelry and I have had many pieces custom made by different jewelers throughout the years. Gemvara offers a unique perspective based heavily upon superior customer service and high quality materials. They have never disappointed me, and the professionals that interface with you online or by phone are knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make your experience a perfect one.

I have purchased several pieces from Gemvara. The company always does what it says it will do, it keeps you informed of the progress of your piece, the customer service folks work together to make sure you get what you want, the service is fast, and the jewelry is beautiful. On the one occasion I sent back a ring for an update, not even a repair, Gemvara sent a shipping label for fast shipping and serviced the ring in an amazingly short period of time. It now looks super gorgeous instead of just gorgeous. Thank you Gemvara.

I purchased the *** wedding set from Gemvara on July 18,2017. It is a palladium set with a white sapphire center stone (with 2 blue topaz on each side) and has white sapphires running down the shanks. The ring was supposed to take 10 days to complete. It took longer than that. I proposed in mid September, 2017. A few days after the proposal, we sent the ring back to Gemvara for resizing. Gemvara kept the ring for 3 weeks.
Jump forward 3 and a half months. We are getting things ready for our wedding in 33 days, and we notice that some of the side stones (the white sapphires) down the shank of BOTH rings, are dark and cloudy. Now, one ring was worn everyday for the last 3 months. The other has sat in its box. We contact Gemvara about the dark stones, and were offered to have their jeweler “look” at it, and strongly suggested that the ring was dirty. We voice our concern over the time-line, and after discussing it, ultimately decided that we’d like a refund. After spending close to $2300 on these rings and to have the stones turn dark after only 3 months of wear on one ring and zero months of wear on the other, we are frustrated and disappointed. My fiancé has been in constant email contact with Gemvara, trying to find a resolution, as Gemvara stated that their return policy is 101 days, but yet it’s got a 365 day craftsmanship warranty. As far as I’m concerned, it looks like Gemvara used low grade gemstones in this “supposed” AAA quality gemstones. The website states that white sapphires closely match diamonds for sparkle. Yet these stones have no sparkle. They’re dull, dark and cloudy.

We offer an excellent 101 day return policy, allowing for the return or exchange of any unworn jewelry in its original condition with the tag in tact. Additionally, we offer an excellent one year warranty on the craftsmanship of each of our pieces, meaning that if any issues arise due to the craftsmanship of our jewelry, we are happy to inspect the piece and offer a resolution. In order to offer a resolution in this case, our jewelers first need to see the jewelry in person. All gemstones, especially clear stones like white sapphires or diamonds, are prone to buildup or dust affecting their sparkle, which seems to be the case here. We are happy to take a closer look to see if something else could possibly be at play. We only offer the highest in quality for our gemstones and are happy to provide certification from the International Gemological Institute at the customer's cost should they be interested in confirming that this is the case. The customer's jewelry is outside of our 101 day return policy, and a refund or exchange is not something we can offer at this time, though again we are happy to make this right by way of our warranty, which will allow our jewelers the opportunity to fix any issues, including a deep cleaning that seems to be the only thing this customer's jewelry is in need of at this time. Until the jewelry is received by our jewelers for inspection, we will not be able to speak further on the matter.

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***.

As we have stated, Gemvara has been in possession of these rings twice. Twice they sent them back to us with sub par stones, that were ALREADY looked at by their jewelers. We are frustrated and what was sop posed to be the rings that my fiancé would wear forever, are not what we expected or paid for. Our only resolution would be a refund for 75% of the original purchase price. As we said, this would be fair. No one, would keep tags attached and have a ring set in an “unworn condition” when these are supposed worm! We will be happy to send the rings back to Gemvara, but on the condiction that a refund in the amount of $1725 will be processed. We no longer wish to use these rings as our wedding rings because of the quality, or lack therof.

Regards

We received these rings once in September for resizing service where the state of the stones was not mentioned as a point of contention. As with all products purchased by consumers, there is a level of upkeep that is expected. We dust our furniture, we take our cars to the car wash. It is not a craftsmanship issue for the stones to have collected dirt or dust, though we are more than happy to clean and polish the rings within our one year warranty. The issue being brought to our attention is one that is standard, and has a simple solution that does not and would not under any circumstances warrant a 75% discount. Until the rings are received for inspection for this specific issue, we will not be able to assist further.

As we stated in the original message, it was after 3 months of wear, on one ring and ZERO wear on the other, that we noticed the dark and cloudy stones. It is not a clean issue, as the rings are and have been cleaned on a regular, frequent basis. We have researched, albeit after the fact, other claims of this sort, specifically regarding white sapphires in rings purchased from Gemvara, and it seems that Gemvara has a known issue with these stones turning dark and cloudy.
We are not asking for a full refund, as my fiancé has worn the engagement ring, not the wedding band, for 3 months. But both rings, the worn and unworn, have the dark, cloudy stones. With the ugly tone of Gemvara’s response/messages, we would be nervous to even THINK about returning these rings for “service”.
What I am trying to understand, why a company would force a customer, who isn’t happy with their product, an expensive product at that, to keep it. The respect and trust we placed in Gemvara has been destroyed, and we would again, request a refund.

I have been a customer since 2012 when I was looking for a very specific type of ring with my daughters birthstone. I wanted a channel set pink tourmaline band. None of the "traditional" jewelers had anything close. I was able to find EXACTLY what I wanted at Gemvara with free engraving! I have since purchased additional bands with the birthstones of my other children to match.
Recently, I lost one of the stones in the original band I purchased (no fault of the jewelry, I struck it against something accidentally and cracked a stone). They were easily able to pull my purchase record from 5 yrs ago, email me a shipping label to get it repaired, and gave me a quote for the repair costs. The time for the repair itself and to get my ring back was very efficient. Once I got it back it looked outstanding! Just as good as the day I bought it. Also, I have a jewelers loupe and am unable to tell where the stone was replaced. The workmanship was flawless!
Could not recommend this company more for their original pieces, variety of choices and customer service and repair!

I placed a $3,734.70 order with Gemvara for a gift on September 29th, 2017. A long story short, I the person didn't like the gift at all. I felt bad about calling to return the item. The person who took the call was supportive of the situation and they stood by their refund policy.
Overall, I was impressed at the consistency and professionalism during the entire process. My perception is that the team is down to earth, fair, and efficient. From my standpoint as a customer who ended up having to return his purchase, the experience was excellent. I look forward to the opportunity to purchase from them again (and will likely let my significant other pick what they want next time around).

My experience with GEMVARA was perfect. They communicated with me throughout the entire process - the diamond ring exceeded my expectations. My future wife loved it! - and she said yes! Delivery was right on time, highly recommend and I will definitely order from them again. Again, a great experience from start to finish. Thanks
