Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/11) */
I called the consumer today, 8/11/15, and left a message to return my call regarding the complaint. I need to ask for more details about the promotion so I know who to contact about getting the movie ticket. Due to many different General Mills...

promotions, we need more detail. When the consumer contacts me back, I will research this further.

Employees case notes after calling consumer back 3/13/18 RE: above complaint:  Called consumer  on 3/13 and spoke to him, explained that we were sorry for any misunderstanding and that I could send a $2 check and a free product certificate per conversation with LMG. He was...

satisfied with this. Verified his address was the same.

We emailed the consumer the following response:Thank you for contacting the Revdex.com with your concerns about Trisodium Phosphate (TSP) ingredients in General Mills cereal.  They forwarded your comments to us and asked us to respond to you.Trisodium phosphate is a water-soluble...

salt. It is used in a wide variety of food products, and is approved as safe by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The very small amounts of trisodium phosphate used in a cereal product helps adjust the acidity of the cereal dough. Actually, the trisodium phosphate does its work in the dough stage, and then mostly dissolves as the dough is made into cereal. As a result, those who eat cereals consume very little – if any – TSP.Your views are important to us. Be assured that your comments will be forwarded to the appropriate persons here at General Mills. Again, thank you for contacting us, and thank you for your support of our products. If you have any questions, please call my toll-free number ###-###-####, extension [redacted]. Sincerely,Sandra [redacted]Product Specialist

Dear Mr. [redacted],
Thank you for contacting Lärabar with your inquiry. As manufacturers and consumers, we understand your concern about potential allergens in the foods you eat. Our Larabar Renola product does not contain any soy...

ingredients.
Our products are labeled for the top 8 allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, dairy products, eggs, soy, wheat, crustaceans and fish) plus sesame, sunflower and mollusks. We label for these allergens using CONTAINS and/or MAY CONTAIN lists located directly below the product's ingredient list.
CONTAINS means that the allergen(s) is included in the product's recipe. The allergen(s) will be listed in the ingredient list, and also in the CONTAINS statement just below the ingredient list.
MAY CONTAIN means that the allergen(s) is not in the product's recipe but could be present as result of the manufacturing process regardless of our best efforts to exclude it. These allergens will not be included in the ingredient list.
This ingredient and allergen information is for the package in hand. It is not intended for other packages of the same product. Ingredients may vary from one package to another due to product reformulation. If you have allergy concerns, please carefully read the ingredient information on each package.
Thank you for your interest in Lärabar. We hope this information is helpful to you.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/12/28) */
Hello. I want a specific answer as to what the ingredient dried molasses as pictured in the ingredients list is. my product does not specify that it does or does not contain soy. I want to know how the mollases pictured in the ingredients list was produced and what it was produced with. I really thiink that these word games with the exchanges I have had with this company are very underhanded and a bad business practice
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/01/04) */
Dear Mr. [redacted],
Thank you for contacting Lärabar. We apologize our previous response did not meet your expectations.
Drum dried molasses uses carriers, such as soy and soy lecithin, as processing aids. The molasses in Larabar Renola is a co-crystallized product which is not manufactured via a drum drier process; hence the ingredient statement is 'Cane Sugar, Molasses'.
The information from the vendor does indicate that there is no soy or soy lecithin used in the processing of molasses.
We hope this information is helpful to you. Thank
you for your interest in Lärabar.

This complaint was taken care of.I contacted the promotion team about this twitter giveaway and after research, there is record of the consumer's information that are a winner of two prizes.  The promotion team is sending the consumer replacement certificates for the...

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/12/02) */
The consumer reported the alleged incident with granola bars to our company via email on October 17, 2015 to which we replied the same day requesting a phone call for addition information. In his follow up call on October 19th, we advised him...

to expect our letter within 15 business days. We processed and mailed our correspondence on October 22nd to the address on file, which is the address shown in your report.
On November 22nd, we received an email from the consumer stating he had already contacted us but had not heard anything. The next day, we received your report and we called the consumer reaching his voicemail leaving a message to return our call. As we had not received a callback, we resent a copy of our initial letter yesterday to his address on file and left a voicemail message that it was being re-mailed.
We will await his receipt and response.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2016/01/04) */
Thank you for responding. I did not accurately read your email; however, this case has not yet been resolved. I have called the company back two additional times in response to the voicemail messages I received, but have not heard from them. I am going to the dentist next week. I will have more information then.
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 16, 2016/01/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I received the correspondence sent by General Mills.
I went to the dentist last week and had x-rays taken of my tooth (teeth). The cost of having the tooth repaired is approximately $198.00. I will happily forward any needed information.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2016/01/14) */
We continue to strive in working to bring resolution to this matter.
On December 1st we resent our original letter to the consumer, and also called him that day, leaving a voicemail message requesting a call back from him.
Upon receipt of this additional notice, we again tried calling the consumer and again left a voicemail message requesting a call back.
We will continue to work with this consumer, hoping he'll respond to one of our letters and submit his documentation directly to us so that we can bring satisfactory resolution to this matter. Without documentation and communication directly from this consumer, we are unable to resolve this matter.
Thank you.

I called and talked to the consumer on Wednesday, 11/8/2017.  I let her know that we received the Revdex.com complaint about the newsletters not being received.  I apologized for her experience and let her know that her complaint was sent to our web support team to investigate.  I said that...

when I get information about they find, I would follow up with her again.  She appreciated the call and said she wait for a response.Below is the response we are sending the consumer after the investigation. It is not our intention to exclude or discriminate against anyone who requests to be added to our email list for BettyCrocker.com or Pillsbury.com.   We are sorry you have stopped receiving Betty Crocker and Pillsbury emails.  We have investigated everything on our end.   According to our records, your email address has at some point inadvertently flagged the Betty Crocker and Pillsbury emails as spam within your Yahoo account.  We verified our systems to ensure you are set up to receive our emails, but in order for you to receive our emails you will need to reach out to Yahoo.  They will need to remove the block from Betty Crocker and Pillsbury emails. Yahoo takes spam notifications very seriously.   Once they receive a request from a user within their Yahoo account that an email is spam they will continue to block any emails we send regardless of the settings we have in our system. The process of contacting Yahoo and having them unblock might take time.   For faster resolution we recommend you create a different email address (which is free with Yahoo or another email client) and re-sign up for our emails.   After you receive your first email from us, we recommend adding the from email address to your “safe sender list” within Yahoo. This will help ensure the emails are not sent to her spam/junk folder.
