Buyer Beware, This is Not a consumer friendly company. You’re purchasing an expensive generator and you are dealing with a horrible company that mistreats its customers and make excuses rather than admit their mistakes. My generator didn’t work during Hurricane Ian, and it was a bigger nightmare dealing with an unprofessional administrative staff. My generator was New installed in August 2021 and it did not work in September 2022.when it was most needed.

My strong recommendation is to not use this company – here’s why: After performing an assessment of our household power needs, they recommended a 24W generator with the assurance it would more than meet all our power consumption needs, including shore power for our boat (50A) and heat pump for our new pool.
1) Our pool contractor put in the natural gas line at a cost of $1,100. This was included in Fixmygen’s quote but when I submitted the invoice, they would only reduce the total amount by $300.
2) The first power outage after installation, the generator ran for a few mins and stopped. After resetting it, it again stopped after a few minutes with an error code that suggested it was under-powered. Once the power was returned, I reset the generator. On calling them to understand why this was happening I was informed that because I had reset the unit it would be a chargeable service call. The service technician identified that the generator was not sufficient to manage the load of the house and that when the heat pump went on it tripped the generator. They charged me $200 to tell me that and, as to be expected from them, there has been no response to my queries on how we can remedy the under-power situation.
3) I was informed in an email that the cost of a 5-year maintenance plan with them was $1,350. When I submitted payment for this, I was informed the cost was now $1,600.
I have subsequently had two neighbors asking who put my generator in as they want to do the same. I recommended they go to Costco who sells and installs GenerX generators.

This is our 2nd generator from GenerX! Our previous home was installed in 2011.
We had full house power for a whole week following hurricane Irma in September 2017.
We have purchased a new unit at our new residence in July 2019.
It automatically tests once a week to be sure it is functioning properly!
GenerX always has pleasant and knowledgeable staff to handle any questions and any needed service.
We would most definitely recommend GenerX to everyone considering making the purchase.

GenerX was a pleasure to work with, from estimate to completion and their follow-up. Price was comparable to the other stand-by generator estimates we received. Our HOA threw up some hurdles that required revising the plan; GenerX quickly responded. The installation, in three phases, went very well. The teams were courteous and professional, showing up on time, doing their work, and cleaning-up as promised. Both the county inspection approval and HOA sign-off were no problem. Everyone is very knowledgeable in Generx. Permitting takes the longest, so plan ahead and be patient. Very please with the look of the generator, and the install. This will be the third home we install a generator with Generx. We are ready for any electrical outages.

I am very pleased with my whole house generator and the high level of professionalism demonstrated at every phase of the process. I had doubts about whether it would actually work when needed but the company fully demonstrated its reliability. There is a significant price tag to the equipment but I know it will be money very well spent in the event of a power outage. Highly recommended.
