I was involved in diagnosing her check engine light last time she was here and I spent a good amount of time trying to explain to her exactly what was going on with her vehicle,The very first time she came in we had a misfire code in all cylinders so since the vehicle had 134,miles and spark plugs were never replaced( every 100k miles) we recommended the spark plugs to be replaced first, so we did that, a week and miles later she came back with a check engine light back on and we had cylinder number misfire at this point we cleared the light and told her if the light comes back on she might need a valve adjustment, almost a month later after miles she comes back in with a check engine light and I got involved and promised to look into it for her and this time we had cylinder number misfiring after doing extensive diagnosis(at no charge to her) we found that the EGR PORT is clogged due to lack of maintenance and the EGR valve was sticking due to lack of maintenance.I tried to accommodate Ms [redacted] and offered her a substantial discount for the repairs and she told me she would think about it and she would call me back which she never did.The fact is her vehicle is not well maintained and the first time she came in she had a misfire code for all cylinders and the last time she came in she had a misfire in only one cylinder.It was my decision not to refund her her money but to do everything I could to help her resolve the problem as she has had multiple issuesSincerely,Shang [redacted] Service Manager

I do not have the original invoice or receipt with me in Houston as it was replaced in TNMy entire point is that it was never communicated until after the fact that the refund was for the original place I had them first replaced and not from Gillman HondaI only got the spark plugs replaced at Gillman Honda because they initially said that the spark plugs were causing the check engine light to come on, which ended up not being the case because the light repeatedly came back on after other visits since having spark plugs replacedAt this point, I don't care about the refund anymoreI shouldn't have had to go through filing a 2nd complaint if the dealership would exercise professional and respond to email messages in a timely manner

We met with Mr*** last week and went through his concerns and were able to reach an outcome that satisfied all of his questionsCustomer was confused on several issue regarding leasing and tax obligationsIn the state of Texas, sales tax is charged the same as any sale would be charged unless there is a special from the Finance companyFortunately for customer the last week of the year Honda finance came out with a program that would give tax credits on leasingInstead of charging 6.25% tax, Honda finance uses lease returns to pay to tax on behalf of customer, although they do charge a % fee for this creditCustomer was extremely happy with this solution and since his contract was not purchased from lender, we were able to make adjustment to his transactionAlso, customer was confused between an administrative fee charged by Honda Finance on the contractThis fee is charged on all lease contracts by lender, it is NOT a fee charged by dealer as the customer referencedThe fee that the customer was referring to was a Documentary fee charged by dealer of $Customer was explained the difference and no problem with explanationCustomer came back to dealer and executed all contracts for vehicle and is satisfied with dealerCustomer stated that he would also remove complaint with Revdex.com as all his concerns have been addressed Daryl *** General Manager Gillman Honda Houston 713-776-direct d***@gillmanauto.com

Mr***’s vehicle was towed in for hitting a curb and blowing out tires, he asked to speak to a manager so I came up there to speak to him in person. He explained that he hit a curb going mph and could not understand why it would blow out his tires so easily, so I explained that
anytime you hit a stationary object it doubles the speed which results in more significant damage. He asked if we would give him a really good deal to fix it since he bought the car here and I asked if he had a coupon and he said no, he did not. I replied back that I would be happy to find a coupon on-line to apply to the repairs, excluding any discount on tires as these have little mark-up. I then explained that I felt that the best route to go would be to contact his insurance company in case he has suspension damage, he then explained that he did not want to do so as he had a $deductible and that he wanted us to help him to avoid paying that at which point I then recommended that we get him a price on replacing two tires, two rims and an alignment unless we could visually see any bent partsHe agreed and he thanked me for my helpThe technician found bent parts, the advisor gave him a quote and upon him picking up his vehicle the Service Advisor who was trying to deliver it quoted him the diagnostic fee at which he got upset because it was not quoted in the beginningThe service advisor thought she heard me quote it while I was speaking to him but that was not the case, so when he approached me to speak about his dissatisfaction about the diagnostic fee, I explained that we would waive it whether he fixed it here or not. I guess he misunderstood a lot of things but none the less, Shang, the service manager has already discussed this with him and he wanted to possibly work with us to get things repaired and we had already agreed to waive the feeShang also contacted him today at which he stated that he wrote this before he spoke to him last nightI was never rude to this gentleman, I think that he is mad at the Service Advisor for not discounting the diagfee whenever he came by for the estimate so that he could shop us. The correspondent’s mother, [redacted] came in and did request the dealer to perform a safety recall, upon writing the repair order the customer gave [redacted] her key and it was tagged properly for identification. Next our employee went to move the car off of the drive to work on the vehicle at which...

point he observed that the key she gave us would fit and turn in the ignition but would not start the car. Next [redacted] went to the customer to inform her and she pulled out key #2, which was only had the top outer plastic casing but was missing the transmitter and back plastic casing.  This key did start the vehicle.
