Ask company to send my payment confirmation email, was hung up on 3 times & noone will send me the email
Since I bought my car in 2016 it was an alright experience (due to me dealing w/credit company instead of them) They bought my contract back from company in Oct, they never notified me that the credit company will no longer be taking my payments I would have to come in or pay online (w/Fee) to make payment, I opted to pay with money orders as that was the only option available that did not have fees. They also moved their Payment office to *** (no notification until I went into sales store to make payment). Ending of December Give away notified me they will now be charging fees for payments made w/money order. I went ahead & started paying online w/4.99 fee, normally I receive an email stating that my payment was posted. On 2/6/18 I made an online payment but I did not receive my confirmation email as I normally would. on 2/8 I started calling company at 8am so I could get the confirmation email (found out later they open at 10am), spoke to a Don who stated the person who handles payment would not be in for another hour & he could not help me then hung up on me. I called back 2 hours later was transferred twice but noone answered the phone, finally got a gentleman who did not state his name (they never do) who transferred me to Victoria as she was in payment dept. Victoria advised me she handles DMV not the payments (another run around), but she took my info down & stated she would get the confirmation email sent to me. 3 hours later still no email I call back & now all of a sudden the managers are all in a meeting & noone can send me the email, by now i'm OVERLY frustrated at the run around i'm getting just to get a confirmation email. Some man got on the phone (again did not identify himself) saying he would send me the email & then blatantly hung up on me! Now i'm on fire I've been hung up on 3 times. he answered & when I told him it was rude to hang up on customers I just wanted verification he was sending the email he hung up on me again. What kind of company treats their customers like this. I would not recommend anyone to buy a car from this company! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Desired Outcome

I just want my payment confirmation email

Give Away Auto Sales Response • Jan 23, 2018

Give away auto sales sorry to hear that you feel that way and we always try to do the best fro our customers. In this cause the customer was often short in the payment or late in paying, the obligation of the contract was explained and the company policy were clarified. After the customer preached the contract few times the company chose to not do business with the customer due to the policy.

The contact was breach when I ask for my money back after
I was being sold a Volvo with a bad transmission stuck in
4 gear n give away auto refuse to give me my money back on day one and give away auto misplaced my payment multiple time it's just been a bad experience dealing with this untrustworthy dealership

I bought an used NISSAN PATHFINDER 2007 at GIVEAWAY AUTO SALES located at 6400 US 19 HWY N PINELLAS PARK 33781 in 12/18/2017. At the time I was attended by rep TRYONB who was pushing a sale through a credit review when they offered an 'in house? financing program but ran my credit anyways. Afterwards Mr M. was setting my payments when he added 2k to the original unit price and asked for $1,500 Down Payment. Before leaving Tryonb offered me a warranty in case any mechanical issue is presented in the next few days. December 19, 2017 I tried to reach Mr M. since my vehicle was acting a bit weird when driiving but never replied to my emails. December 29 2017 I paid a total of 1,004.99 since at purchase dat I paid $900.00 and on this day I paid the ramaining $600.00 and $400.00 in advanced payment for this unit with confirmation nimber 151 458 041 0881. In January 8 2018 my car broke completely and its not shifting gears at all. I tried getting in contact with MR M. once again but he never replied to my texts even when he read it. January 9 2018 I called Mr M. and he answered the call and after hearing about my issue he stated that he wasnt at the office but that since I was in a warranty period, someone will call me within 15 min. After an hour I called him back and never talked to hom again. Then I called a several times during the day and spoke with MJ, JOHN, ROB and MIKE and all of them promised to call back but never received a call back from them as if they were delaying to resolve my issue. Called again and JOHN explained to me that another vehicle was registered under my name, a MAZDA, and hung up. Called again and MIKE picked up the phone and demanded me to, and I quote 'TOW THE CAR AND TAKE IT TO A GARAGE, WE DONT DO SERVICE HERE, I GOT TO GO'. Nobody has being able to find a solution to my problem. Now I feel like attempting to return the car again.

Im sorry to hear that the vehicle is having such issues. the team offered a warranty and the customer declined and this vehicle was bought as is, please see attached for signed contract. Give away still can help the customer by giving a whole sale price fix through our third party partner mechanic.

Run away from this company and their deceptive practice, dishonest business. Had a car online for $4,999.00 I talked to them yesterday and then today right when I got there changed the price to $5,999 and then tried to add $1000 dealer fee. Put the real price on the car is. Rip off.

Tried to charge me twice for "Dealer Fee" of $999.00
Through Suncoast Credit Union I visited True Cars and found a 2015 Mazda Mazda6 Touring, Mileage: ***, and VIN: ***. I received an email from the True Car site with the "True Price" of $13,990 - $500 discount + $999 Dealer Fee = $14,489 plus tax. When I went the next day, they tried to charge me the $999 Dealer Fee on top of the total I was given of $14,489 just the previous evening. I have documentation for all this; I have emails and pictures. The dealer is going to claim they have the right to change the price, but the car is still listed on True Cars with the same price as when I looked it up first. They are playing the "waiting game" so a customer gets impatient, and then they try to charge the "Dealer Fee" again hoping the customer is too agitated and wants to get it over with, and unfortunately they get away with practices of that nature. I feel this is false advertising, which I believe is still illegal.

I suppose I was lucky that the price did not sit right in my subconscious and I walked away, but I wonder how many other people fall prey to this tactic! I am also pretty sure this is a widespread practice among dealers, but I do not have proof of any other ones at this time.

Desired Outcome

I believe that rules that ban practices of similar nature should be enacted with stiff penalties for non-compliance. I no longer want that car from that dealer at any price. I wish to make people aware of that practice.

Give Away Auto Sales Response • Jan 16, 2018

Thank you for your interest in Give Away Auto sales! The online prices are the final price with $999 fee. please provide the sales associate name and the documentation that shows that the sales staff was trying to charge the $999 twice and the management will take the appropriate actions to correct the matter.
Thanks and Give Way auto sales apologize for the inconvenience

Customer Response • Jan 20, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The sales associate went to the manager with the certificate, and we communicated via email but his boss (sales manager) would not agree to the price. See certificate sent by email and quote picture sent to me by the salesperson. Obviously, the dealer fee was included in the total price on the certificate. Yet, the quote shows it again on top of the total price quoted on the certificate.

Price was to high from what the staited

They refunded my money thanks

Sold me a Lemon knowingly and I found out the day of purchase but they ignored my complaints until to late to return
I'd like to share my experience with this dealership I saw an ad on offer up for a 2003 Cadillac CTS so I contacted the sales rep via offer up and asked many questions about the car being I have two young kids I didn't want to be stranded with if it were a lemon, so anyway the sales rep insured me the vehicle was in great condition and was all up to date on maintenance so that was good so I went out to test drive the car first 5min of test drive the check engine light came on so I pretty much didn't want it at that point but dealer said why don't you take it up the road and get a advanced auto diagnostic test so I did it came back as an 02sensor well that's not going to break my pocket too bad so I went ahead and bought it but then on the 25 mile ride home I had message come across the screen saying no oil pressure stop car so I did and later took to a shop mechanic said the oil pump is going bad and there's gaskets leaking wow all together reaching 2700 dollars in repairs I sense have been trying to reach them and heard nothing and this was just Saturday the 29th of July, and to top it off I opened the trunk to take a look again I saw a gallon of oil hmmmm I think they knew what was going on here so think twice about your purchase, then when I did finally get a hold of someone 6 days after purchase, and several messages later they told me not to trust the mechanic at jiffy lube because they lie and only thing they wanted to do to help is offered me there mechanic in which I would still need to pay all

Desired Outcome

id like at least half of repair costs due to there lies and there ignoring my phone calls for this issue in which tells me they were waiting the return time out because they knew the problem

Give Away Auto Sales Response

Give away auto sales sold the vehicle AS IS, and with the good faith our sales associate direct the customer to go and examine the car at advance to educate him self in regard the issue. and the sales associate also offer to buy a warranty to protect and the customer refused to do so.
Give away auto sales is still welling to help the customer by directing him to a mechanic that will charge 40%-50% of the total amount. And Give away is more than happy to help in situations like this

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
FIRST OFF I HAD WENT TO ADVANCED AUTO TO GET A TEST AND WAS OK WITH WHAT THAT TEST SHOWED 02 SENSOR THAT WAS IT... AND AS MANY TIMES AS I ASKED THE SALES PEOPLE ABOUT THE WORKING CONDITION THEY INSURED IT WAS FINE AND MY TEXTS ON MY PHONE STATE THIS AND AS FOR WARRANTY SHE SAID THEY OFFER IT WHICH I THOUGHT IT MENT IT WAS ON VEHICLE AT PURCHASE. SECONDLY THE DAY OF PURCHASE I WENT INTO THE TRUNK AND SAW THAT GALLON OF OIL HIDDEN IN THERE SO OBVIOUSLY YOU KNEW ABOUT THE OIL LEAKS AND OTHER ISSUES, THE 2 MECHANICS I HAD WENT TO BOTH SAID THE SAME THING ABOUT THE VEHICLE AND THIS PERSON I SPOKE TO AT THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME TO USE HIS MECHANICS BUT IN REALITY I SEE THAT THEY DIDNT DO A GOOD JOB THE 1ST TIME THEY HAD THIS VEHICLE BEFORE ME PURCHASING WHICH IS WHY THEY SOLD IT AS IS IM GUESSING DO THE RIGHT THING HERE AND HELP WITH REPAIRS OF SOMETHING YOU OBVIOUSLY NEW ABOUT

Give Away Auto Sales Response

The dealership is offering a whole sale price for the mechanic work to help the customer with this repair even though the vehicle is AS IS. The mechanic shop is
certified, therefore the the repair will meet the standers. Please let the customer contact us and will give direction to the certified mechanic

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Again first off I live almost 30miles away and 2ndly I been putting money into it already a lot and there is still a lot of issues doesn't this dealer use this same mechanic for his cars on the lot? So they probably saw the issues wrong with it then no I would like to use a trustworthy mechanic around me I can't drive this car anymore until it's fixed had it over a month and can't use it isn't that something? I have just over a grand into it so far and still have roughly 1500 to go this is so poor customer service if I had ever seen it come on suck it up you knew about all these issues and I have proof that I contacted your sales reps on it Day of sale??? And not to mention bill of sale says it has XXXXX less miles on it then it did at purchase I can certainly get an attorney being I did take it to a shop that same day of purchase and they obviously on paper have the miles I didn't drive ten thousand miles in an hr but just do what's right take care of the customer

I'd like to share my experience with this dealership I saw an ad on offer up for a 2003 Cadillac CTS so I contacted the sales rep via offer up and asked many questions about the car being I have two young kids I didn't want to be stranded with if it were a lemon, so anyway the sales rep insured me the vehicle was in great condition and was all up to date on maintenance so that was good so I went out to test drive the car first 5min of test drive the check engine light came on so I pretty much didn't want it at that point but dealer said why don't you take it up the road and get a advanced auto diagnostic test so I did it came back as an 02sensor well that's not going to break my pocket too bad so I went ahead and bought it but then on the 25 mile ride home I had message come across the screen saying no oil pressure stop car so I did and later took to a shop mechanic said the oil pump is going bad and there's gaskets leaking wow all together reaching 2700 dollars in repairs I sense have been trying to reach them and heard nothing and this was just Saturday the 29th of July, and to top it off I opened the trunk to take a look again I saw a gallon of oil hmmmm I think they knew what was going on here so think twice about your purchase, I tried contacting these people the day of sale to take car back but they ignored my calls and messages until 6 days later these people are liars and crooks not just a mad customer but truthful one...
