I believe this may be a scam SFRC states that if student does not receive any financial aid from their selected financial aid programs, you may request a full refund After the waiting period, I sent my request via email as instructed by SFRC and within two hours, received a response from SFRC that they have "ceased and suspended all of its 2016-operations" BEWARE!! I realize now that the ad only says you can request a full refund, but it does not say you will receive a refund

RE:  Revdex.com Complaint
ID: [redacted] – Ms. [redacted]...

[redacted]

Dear Ms. [redacted]:
I would like to notify the RevDex.com (Revdex.com) of San Diego that Ms. [redacted] is misrepresenting the
truth and the facts in this case and she has filed a fictitious complaint. For
the record, Ms. [redacted] is making the following false allegations:

Allegation #1:
SFRC offered to help with FAFSA
This is not true. SFRC has nothing to do with FAFSA, we have no
idea where Ms. [redacted] acquired this false information.  SFRC is an independent organization devoted
to helping students apply for and receive the best available free merit and
need-based financial aid. SFRC conducts extensive searches to match each
student's qualifications and background to key federal, state, local, and
private financial aid programs that are both merit and need-based. SFRC
provides students with a comprehensive SFRC financial aid guidebook that explains
all of the basics of financial aid and offers valuable tips, practical
strategies, and clear guidelines for applying to SFRC’s specifically selected
free merit and need-based financial aid programs.

Allegation #2:  We
never heard from SFRC
This is absolutely not true. The SFRC processing division received [redacted]’s SFRC form in July of 2015; we processed it and sent a comprehensive
SFRC financial aid package to:

[redacted] L. [redacted]
[redacted]
AVENUE
[redacted], IL [redacted]
Student Profile Number (SPN): [redacted]

Allegation #3:  SFRC
failed to provide a refund
This is not true. Ms. [redacted] called our message call center several
times and she was informed to send an email with proof of payment to us. However,
we never received an email from her until August 14, 2015, after she had already
filed a false Revdex.com complaint.  Ms. [redacted]
claimed that her husband (Mr. [redacted]) NOT HER, had sent three emails
to us and we never responded. Again, this is absolutely not true. We believe
Mr. [redacted] was sending emails to the wrong email address box and Ms. [redacted] kept
on blaming and criticizing us for not responding to their emails.

Allegation #4:  SFRC
is unprofessional rund
This is not true. Ms. [redacted] called our message call center several
times and she verbally harassed our live message
call center operators (that is why we were forced to end the calls with her).

We
utterly disagree with Ms. [redacted]’s subjective opinion and inaccurate information
about SFRC organization, please be advised that we do not take these
allegations lightly and our legal team is prepared to take the appropriate
legal proceedings to preserve and protect its interests.

We demand Ms. [redacted] to immediately cease and desist
her defamatory and libelous statement against us and submit a written apology
to our organization. Once our demands are amply fulfilled, we will show our
good faith and will demonstrate our outstanding customer service and will start
her refund process.

To be clear, we will demand the following:
A written apology for making defamatory and libelous statement against us and harassing our message call center operators.Send a copy of her cleared check (front and back) from her bank or some sort of proof of payment to SFRC and we will send your full refund within 10 business days.  (Already Completed by Ms. [redacted]).
Ms.
[redacted], please remove this fictitious complaint from our Revdex.com record. If you have any further questions pleases call 1(888)
[redacted] or email me at c[redacted]@studentctr.org.

Sincerely,
[redacted]

Dear
Ms. [redacted]:

It
is clear that Ms. [redacted] is misrepresenting the truth and the facts in this
case. For years, the SFRC nationwide message call center has been opened from
8:00 AM through 4:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday. You only get a closed
greeting when you call after our business hours.

We
are not going to tolerate and permit Ms. [redacted] to make defamatory and
libelous statement against us. We do not take her allegations lightly, I have
notified our legal team concerning Ms. [redacted] case and we are prepared to
take the appropriate legal proceedings to preserve and protect our interests.

Again, we firmly demand Ms. [redacted] to
immediately cease and desist her defamatory and libelous statement against us
and submit a written apology to our organization. Once our demands are amply
fulfilled, we will show our good faith and will demonstrate our outstanding
customer service and will start her refund process.

To be clear, we demand and must receive the
following:

A written apology for making defamatory and libelous
statement (“saying we are a scam and we misled her”).  Send a copy
of her cleared check (front and back) from her bank or some sort of proof of
payment to SFRC and we will send your full refund within 10 business days.  Send certified mail to: SFRC -

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[I want a full refund of my $65.00  dollar check that was processed, I have tried to contact the company and a automated machine answers as is stated in my original compliant. I will not apologize for making a true statement in regards to this matter.  I feel like they are misguiding people and they should be the ones apologizing.I am a student working 2 jobs and I will be starting school this upcoming fall, I need that money back to use it for something useful such as my school deposit or towards the books I will need. I need all my money that I worked hard for. I have been applying very hard and will continue to find real scholarships that are willing to help me with school fees.]

Dear
Ms. [redacted]:

I
would like to notify the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) of San Diego that Ms.  [redacted] is misrepresenting the truth and the
facts in this case. For the record, the SFRC processing division received [redacted]
L. [redacted]’ SFRC form in March of 2015; we processed it and sent a comprehensive
SFRC package to:

[redacted]
L. [redacted]
[redacted]
[redacted] RD
[redacted],
OH [redacted]

Ms.  [redacted] fails to report that we did send a
comprehensive SFRC package to [redacted] L. [redacted]. Nonetheless, if Ms. [redacted] was
not satisfied with the SFRC comprehensive package, all she had to do was to notify
us and send a copy of her cancelled check and we would have been happy to send
her a full refund check within ten business days.

Before
transferring all calls, we clearly state on our nationwide toll free number
outgoing message that clients  need to
leave their contact information with our live local message call center
operator and an official SFRC reprehensive will call them back promptly.  However, Ms.  [redacted] entirely ignored our initial outgoing
message instruction and verbally harassed our live message call center operators
(that is why we were forced to end calls with her).
We demand Ms.
[redacted] to immediately cease and desist her verbal harassment to our message call
center operators and submit a written apology to our organization. Once our
demands are amply fulfilled, we will show our good faith and will demonstrate
our outstanding customer service and we will start her refund process.

To be clear, we will demand the following:

A written apology for harassing our message call center
operators  Send a copy
of her cleared check (front and back) from her bank or some sort of proof of
payment to SFRC and we will send your full refund within 10 business days.  Send

Dear
Ms. [redacted]:

Once
again, I would like to formally notify the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) of San
Diego that Ms. [redacted] is making false allegations with defamatory statements against
the Student Financial Resource Center (SFRC) organization and she has filed a fictitious
Revdex.com complaint.

For
the record, the SFRC processing division received Ms. [redacted]’s SFRC form back
in March of 2015; we processed it and sent a comprehensive SFRC package her at:

If
Ms. [redacted] was not satisfied with the SFRC comprehensive package, all she had
to do was to send us back the SFRC package or a copy of her cancelled check and
we would have been happy to send her a full refund check.

Furthermore,
we have no record of Ms. [redacted]  contacting
our office or emailing us.  In fact, this
is the first time we hear about Ms. [redacted]’s case and we wished she had
contacted us directly and we would have been glad to assist her. If clients do
not contact us, we are unable to assist them.
The SFRC organization is in the customer retention business and we
strive to provide exceptional customer service to all students.  SFRC is dedicated to exceed our customers'
expectations on a daily basis.  We
provide a 24/7 automated phone system, daily live message center staff, and
have a website that distinctly explains our program.

We
utterly disagree with Ms. [redacted]’s subjective opinion and inaccurate
information about SFRC organization, please be advised that we do not take
these allegations lightly and our legal team is prepared to take the
appropriate legal proceedings to preserve and protect its interests.

We demand Ms. [redacted] to immediately cease and

RE:  Revdex.com
Complaint ID: [redacted] – Ms. [redacted] L. [redacted]...

Dear Ms. [redacted]:

I would like to
formally notify the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) of San Diego that Ms. [redacted]
is making very serious defamatory statements with appalling false allegations
against the Student Financial Resource Center (SFRC) organization. We would
like to inform the general public that Ms. [redacted] is outrageously misrepresenting
the truth and the facts in this case and she has filed a fictitious complaint.

For the record,
Ms. [redacted] is making the following alarming profound false allegations:

Allegation #1:  “SFRC
is a scam”
This is absolutely not true. SFRC is an independent organization
devoted to helping students apply for and receive the best available free merit
and need-based financial aid. SFRC conducts general searches to match each
student's qualifications and background to key federal, state, local, and
private financial aid programs that are both merit and need-based. SFRC
provides students with a comprehensive SFRC financial aid guidebook that
explains all of the basics of financial aid and offers valuable tips, practical
strategies, and clear guidelines for applying to SFRC’s specifically selected
free merit and need-based financial aid programs.

Allegation #2:  “Illusion
of being a government agency”
This is not true. All of the SFRC literature has been thoroughly
examined and approved by our legal department. We strive to inform students
that the literature sent is by Student Financial Resource Center organization
and to ensure this, we publish the following in our literature:
We have
our name noticeably and clearly in large fonts embedded in our logo,
letter and form.
On the
front page of our letter we have noted the following: "This program
is sponsored by Student Financial Resource Center organization".
On the
back page of our letter we have noted the following: "Student
Financial Resource Center has directly sent this letter to students and it
is not affiliated with any educational institutions or government
agencies".
On the
back page of our form where students must read and sign, we have noted the
following: “SFRC is unable to guarantee results and has no input into the
decisions to which applicants will be selected to receive financial aid
funds and it is not affiliated with any educational institutions,
government agencies or funding source".
We
provide a 24/7 automated phone system, daily live message center staff,
and have a website that distinctly explains our program.

Allegation #3:
“Impostor of government seal of approval”
This is not true. The U.S. Department of Education logo appearance
is significantly different than ours.
The U.S. Department of Education logo depicts a
noticeable “TREE” and conversely the
SFRC logo does not. The U.S. Department of Education logo depicts a “SUN” with lines going across and conversely the SFRC logo does not.The U.S. Department of Education logo imprints “DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION” and conversely
the SFRC logo does not.The U.S. Department of Education logo imprints “UNITED OF STATES OF AMERICA” and
conversely the SFRC logo does not.The SFRC logo depicts  the following and conversely the U.S. Department
of Education logo does not:
TorchBookColumnEagleLeavesGraduation cap
The SFRC logo imprints “STUDENT FINANCIAL RESOURCE CENTER” and conversely the U.S.
Department of Education logo does not.The
SFRC logo has imprints “SFRC” and
the U.S. Department of Education logo does not

Allegation #4:
“I have not seen or heard from SFRC”

This is not true. The SFRC processing
division received Ms. [redacted]’s SFRC form in May of 2015; we processed it and
sent a comprehensive SFRC financial aid package to:

[redacted] L. [redacted]
[redacted] RD APT. [redacted], CO [redacted]
Student Profile Number (SPN): [redacted]

If Ms. [redacted] was
not satisfied with the SFRC comprehensive financial aid guidebook, all she had
to do was to send us a copy of her cancelled check or some method of proof of
payment and we would have been happy to send her a full refund check.

Allegation #5:  “SFRC wanted my SSN”

This is absolutely not true. SFRC has ABSOLUTELY NEVER asked for anyone’s
social security number in anyway or format. Ms. [redacted] statement is fabricated and
it is 100% false.  Please ask Ms. [redacted]
to provide proof of this shocking false allegation.

Allegation #6:  “SFRC office is always closed”

This is absolutely not true. Our
888-[redacted] nationwide toll free phone number from AT&T has been regularly
operating and functioning since the conception of our organization. We have
phone records from AT&T to prove that our phone line is and has been open
and functioning Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Eastern Time of
every business days. We are not sure whether Ms. [redacted] was dialing a wrong
number or she was using the wrong time zone to contact us.

We vehemently disagree with Ms. [redacted]’s
subjective opinion and extremely inaccurate information about SFRC
organization, please be advised that we do not take these allegations lightly
and our legal team is prepared to take the appropriate legal proceedings to
preserve and protect its interests.

We have also
learned that Ms. [redacted] has sent several offensive emails to us with abusive
and insulting language. We are not going to tolerate this misconduct. We demand Ms. [redacted] to immediately cease
and desist her defamatory and libelous statement against us and submit a
written apology to our organization. Once our demands are amply fulfilled, we
will show our good faith and will demonstrate our outstanding customer service
and we will start her refund process.

To be clear, we will demand the following:

A
written apology for sending offensive emails and making very serious
defamatory statements with appalling false allegations against us.  Need
a copy of her cleared check (front and back) from her bank or some sort of
proof of payment to SFRC and we will send her a full refund within 10 business
days. Send a certified
mail to: SFRC - Refund Department3268 Governor Drive Suite 144San Diego, CA 92122-2936 Or She may also
send an email with a PDF file of the cleared check image to: [email protected]

Ms. [redacted], please remove
this fictitious complaint from our Revdex.com record. If you have any further
questions pleases call 1(888) [redacted] or email me at c[redacted]@studentctr.org.

RE:
Complaint ID:  [redacted] - Mrs.
[redacted] A [redacted]...

                                        ...

Dear
Ms. [redacted]:

I
would like to notify the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) of San Diego that Mrs.
[redacted] is misrepresenting the truth and the facts in this case. In order to
notify our clients when to expect to hear back from us, we have published the
following information on our Letter, Form and website:

“Once
your refundable processing fee is endorsed, the SFRC Processing Division will
require approximately four to six (4-6) weeks to process your certified Student
Aid Profile Form (SAPF). For more information, please visit the SFRC website
(http://www.studentctr.org), under the “Target Delivery Dates” link, to
determine your package’s target delivery date.”

According
to Mrs. [redacted], we cashed her check on May 27, 2015 and she filed a complaint
on June 12, 2015 (16 days later). As you can obviously see, she did not allow
us the 4-6 weeks required after cashing her check to process her Form and mail
an SFRC package.

Mrs.
[redacted] is also complaining that she cannot clearly read our endorsement on the back
of her check. We stamp all checks with our standard bank information and that’s
how we collect payments. Mrs. [redacted] bank obviously knows where and to what
bank account her check was deposited to. This seems like a bank issue, we are not
responsible or liable for banks photo and imaging quality.

We
utterly disagree with Mrs. [redacted]’s subjective opinion and inaccurate
information about SFRC organization. As requested, we will delete Mrs. [redacted]’s
daughter information from our computer system and will destroy her original Form.

Ms.
[redacted], please remove this fictitious complaint from our Revdex.com record. If you have any further questions pleases call 1(888)
[redacted] or email me at c[redacted]@studentctr.org.

Sincerely,

Hello! Today I asked Student Financial Resource Center for my refund as they wanted the cancelled check sent to them. (Which I have done). They emailed back saying they wanted a apology letter for harassing their call center. (Which is not true - both times I called and spoke to the call center - we were polite to one another) And they want me to lie and say that they were never rude to me or that they didn't scam me.I would of never contacted you for help if this didn't happen. I feel as if they want their name cleared and then still won't refund me.Can you please help me and guide me to handle this properly.Thank you - [redacted]Sent from my iPad

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[On the Student Aide Profile Form Section VII it states, "A full refund of the SFRC processing fee will be issued within ten working days."  bottom line.  I will certainly be aware of these SCAMS in the future.  Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.
Regards,
[redacted]

Review: I am a single parent of a college student. We received an advertisement letter from Student Financial Resource Center promoting their services to secure financial aid for the 2014 year for a REFUNDABLE fee of $65.00. We have had no response or efforts from this business. I have called three times 4/24/14, 4/25/14 and 4/29/14 and a recording for a "special offer" for a Life Alert system is advertised.

I firmly believe this is a SCAM and want this operation made accountable for manipulating us and misrepresenting their services.Desired Settlement: I will be satisfied with a full refund of the $65.00.

RE: Complaint ID: [redacted] – Ms. [redacted]

Dear Ms. [redacted]:

I would like to formally notify the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) of San Diego that Ms. [redacted] is making serious defamatory and libelous statement against the Student Financial Resource Center (SFRC) organization and she has filed a fictitious Revdex.com complaint.

The SFRC phone number which is also listed with the Revdex.com of San Diego (###-###-####) has not been changed or disconnected since conception of the SFRC organization. We have no idea what number Ms. [redacted] dialed or called on 4/24/2014, 4/25/2014 and 4/29/2014 that was advertising “Life Alert” systems. She must have called a wrong number because we receive abundant of calls each day and we can prove it.

Please keep in mind that it typically takes our mail room 5-10 business days to prepare Student Aid Profile Forms (SAPF) for computer data entry. Once we have all information entered in our computer system, it takes 3-6 weeks to process and mail an SFRC package to students. We ask students to visit the SFRC's Target Delivery Dates link on our website (top) to learn about their target delivery dates.

We have no record of Ms. [redacted] contacting our office or emailing us. In fact, this is the first time we hear about Ms. [redacted]’s case and we wished she had contacted us directly with the correct phone number and we would have been glad to assist her.

We demand Ms. [redacted] to immediately cease and desist her defamatory and libelous statement against us and submit a written apology to our organization. Once our demands are amply fulfilled, we will show our good faith and will demonstrate our outstanding customer service and will start her refund process.

Review: I cant belive I actually fell for this scam. im new to this whole financial aid thing and fell for it out of my own ignorance. anyway recieved a letter in the mail from the "student financial resource center" which gives the impression that to complete your FAFSA you need to pay a 65 dollar proccessing fee. like an it I gave them my information and a 65 dollar check. ive come to find fromt various sources that it is an illegitimate buisness. im scared my identity might be stolen, and they wont give me back my money. im going to my bank tommorow to see if they took out the 65 dollars, and if they didnt im going to cancel the check if I can. if I have any type of issue with identity theft I will definatly be holding this company accountable. I dont care if they respond to this saying im lying and they have thier lawyers ready. this is a complete scam and god is watching. I hope these crooks get taken out of buisness, and put in jail. I will call the police if my identity is stolen because I gave them almost all my information and idk anyone else who would know as much as they do about me in that aspect. its scary to think how the heck they even got my adress in the first place.if they were legitimate why do they have to have a fake logo that looks like its from a government entity.... tsk tskDesired Settlement: if the money was taken out of my account I want it refunded. I willl find out if they took the money tommorow when I go to the bank.

Review: Advertising and making false claims. The company states they will assist with financial aid and process my FAFSA and send it to my college. I filled out my form and mailed it 2/26/14 as of 5/6/14 my financial aid office had not received it and my I had no financial aid. This is unacceptable seeing that they cashed my check on 3/3/14. I am needing monies and they will not answer my telephone calls or e-mails. I filed at the college for free. I would like my money back.Desired Settlement: I would like my $65.00 back

Review: This company is a fraud. They send you an official letter with your students University Name on it, to apply for available scholarships. They claim to match information you send them to these scholarships. They ask for $65 dollars to find the information for the busy parents and student but never answer you. After some time and noting they cashed my check I tried calling the phone number they give you, 1-888-730-2775 which is a dummy number answered by a phone service, [redacted]. They ask for your name and number and tell you they will call back. When questioned the employee of answer California openly admitted she knew this was a fraud but she was instructed not to spend too much time on the phone with me.They also have a dummy website, www.studentctr.org. Which has blank pages beyond the initial first page.I googled them and this operation has been doing this since 2008 and no one has stopped them. They also have a dummy Revdex.com site set up that appears to take complaints about the company which I have forwarded to sandiego.Revdex.com.orgDesired Settlement: I would like my $65.00 refunded.I would like to know why they have a dummy website and phone number.More importantly they should should be shut down.

RE: Revdex.com Complaint

ID: [redacted] – Ms. [redacted]

Dear Ms.

The SFRC processing division received [redacted]

[redacted]’s SFRC form in July of 2015; we processed it and sent a comprehensive

SFRC financial aid package to:

[redacted] L. [redacted]

AVENUE

[redacted], IL [redacted]

Student Profile Number (SPN): [redacted]

Allegation #3: SFRC

failed to provide a refund

This is not true. Ms. [redacted] called our message call center several

times and she was informed to send an email with proof of payment to us. However,

we never received an email from her until August 14, 2015, after she had already

filed a false Revdex.com complaint. Ms. [redacted]

claimed that her husband (Mr. [redacted]) NOT HER, had sent three emails

to us and we never responded. Again, this is absolutely not true. We believe

Mr. [redacted] was sending emails to the wrong email address box and Ms. [redacted] kept

on blaming and criticizing us for not responding to their emails.

Allegation #4: SFRC

is unprofessional rund

This is not true. Ms. [redacted] called our message call center several

times and she verbally harassed our live message

call center operators (that is why we were forced to end the calls with her).

We

utterly disagree with Ms. [redacted]’s subjective opinion and inaccurate information

about SFRC organization, please be advised that we do not take these

allegations lightly and our legal team is prepared to take the appropriate

legal proceedings to preserve and protect its interests.

We demand Ms. [redacted] to immediately cease and desist

her defamatory and libelous statement against us and submit a written apology

to our organization. Once our demands are amply fulfilled, we will show our

good faith and will demonstrate our outstanding customer service and will start

her refund process.

To be clear, we will demand the following:

A written apology for making defamatory and libelous statement against us and harassing our message call center operators.

Review: Scam artist that asks money for financial aid...Solicity money illegally by claims of being part of the government, when with careful research, turns out to be a scam...Desired Settlement: End this business for its malpractice and tomfoolery

Review: On March 3, 2015 I mailed the "Student Financial Resource Center a check (#[redacted]) for $65.00 refundable processing fee along with a student profile form for my child's 2015 - 2016 Academic school year at NCSU. It state that, "A full refund of the SFRC processing fee will be issued within ten working days." It is now June 18, 2015. When I called the company to inquire about the refund, the operator said that there were no technicians I could speak with and hung up on me twice! I have informed North Carolina State University of this event for this is where it was delivered to. I would like a full refund ASAP.Desired Settlement: REFUND ASAP!

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[On the Student Aide Profile Form Section VII it states, "A full refund of the SFRC processing fee will be issued within ten working days." bottom line. I will certainly be aware of these SCAMS in the future. Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.
