Gold Standard Relocation, based out of Sarosota, FL charged my credit card Without Providing a ServiceAbsolutely No Services were Rendered
On Wed., 12/5/2018, I spoke with moving coordinator Bill Jones, from Gold Standard Relocation in Sarasota, FL regarding a move for the morning of Sun., 12/9/The move was to relocate the contents of a 10xStorage Unit in NJ, to OHHe stated the short notice wasn't a problem & payment could be made by credit card
I was adamant about the date being set for Sun12/at 9-am because I was coming from OH via Greyhound Bus to NJ specifically to empty the storage lockerI had no place to stay in NJ & planned on heading back to OH after the locker was emptiedAfter stressing the importance of the date/time he assured me there was no problem & that he had to put move dates by law of 12/& 12/9, but that it would positively be the 9th
I asked him questions regarding the delivery, said he didn't see a problem with an 8hr turnarou

I contracted my moving from MI to FL
Gold Standard hired a carrier which is not legally established
They hold hostage my goods for more money
Gold Standard, without my acknowledge nor consent, hired somebody not authorized to operate a moving company by the proper federal and state agents
Now they hold hostage my belongs for more moneyThe delivery was set to August 21st,
Both companies refuse to declare where they place my things and refuse to accept my proposal do release everything wherever they are

7-16-19, 2018, I researched moving trucks for my nephew's move from NY to NM the end of JulyI knew I could rent a truck for $with unlimited mileage, but I researched other options for the best deal using credit card onlyOne of the companies' reps I talked to was Garin Combs, GSR, who convinced me he could beat the $because they had a full-service, direct-route truck, almost full, ready to head out by the end of JulyBut to get the 50% off and beat the $2300, I would have to sign the agreement nowI explained I hadn't talked to my nephew about the timing of the move or what household goods he needed to ship, but Garin told me because we were working with poundage (later to be cf), the agreement for $down and the remainder ($1300) due at the end of the move would remain the same as long as we were at lbs or less ($.70/lb over that)Ev

MADE A DEPOSIT OF $FOR AN OUT OF STATE MOVE WITH KELLY I WAS TOLD IF I DECIDED TO CANCEL I WOULD BE REFUNDED THE $ CANCELLED THE MOVE WITHIN THE ALLOTTED TIME FRAME, HOWEVER THEY ARGUED WITH ME THAT I HADN'T I WAS SCHEDULE TO BE PICKED UP ON 10/07/I CANCELLED THE MOVE ON 10/03/WELL BEFORE THE HOURS TIME FRAME STAFF WAS RATHER RUDE AND CONDESCENDING I WAS TOLD ON 10/04/BY SAMANTHA THAT SHE WOULD CALL ME BACK WITH MY REFUND IT IS NOW 10/16/AND I HAVE YET TO HAVE MY REFUND OR HEAR FROM SAMANTHA

The customer service I received was unacceptableThey did not care about the problems and concerns I addressed and refused to provide access to owner
On August 15, I received an email from Alex Lfrom Gold Standard Relocation indicating he would be available to assist with my moveBased on this information, I sent him a list of items I was interested in having moveHe responded with a quote of $for the entire moveI indicated the quote was out of my price range ($1500)Less than hours later, I received a quote for $Upon agreement, I requested a pidate of September 25th with a backup date of September 24thBased on this information, I signed the contract and paid the deposit of $On September 6th, I left a message for Alex with no responseThen on September 10th, I sent Alex a message indicating I was awaiting his response and indicated I needed to add suitcases to my order along with switching my pickup date from September 25th to the 24t

I was very nervous to move from CA to FL, GOLD STANDARD made it so smooth from start to finishI am single with two kids and would have been a nightmare moving myself....I was very overwelmed....I had so many questions and they never made me feel stupid and were super knowledgeable in helping me understand the ins and outs and just made me feel safe with themThe movers came did all the work they were very timely and professional even bubblewrapped my breakables since I had forgot and did not even charge meI will use them again and definitely refer themThank you so much for your outstanding service in making my move as seamless as possible!

Don't use this brokerThey misquoted me and assigned me a company out of Las Vegas (***) for my moveThe movers arrived 1/hours late and charged me $more than what was quotedMain reason being is because Gold Standard Relocation guaranteed and repeated reassured me that the movers would be moving based upon weight not cubic feetThe movers were unprofessional from the beginning complaining and making smart remarksUpon the delivery of the items I was given one days notice when the movers and brokers knew that I travel for a livingOne of the movers stole my check book on delivery and I had to file a police reportI tried calling Gold Standard on Nov left a message and still no responseI called the moving company (***) he stated that he had no information on the man and that they hired him from craigs listBad experience overall I probably would not have even bothered coming to Revdex.com if it wasn't for the fact that one of the movers stole my check book and tried to cash a counterfeit check with a fake signature

Sad to say I experienced this awful company first handIt took them weeks to send out stuff across the countryHalf of our furniture didn't arrive and the stuff that did arrived in damaged conditionScratches, rips, broken table, bent light fixtureIt blows my mind this company is still in businessPlease look elsewhere if you're trying to move your prized belongings

I recently moved from Colorado to Florida, and I'd like to give a good word to Gold Standard on their service for me and my familyMy wife was quite nervous about the process, but their customer service and logistics team handled things well beyond our expectationsTheir were a few curve balls with delivery and storage that were beyond our control, but their team adapted well and made sure everything was ironed out for move daySpecial thanks to Jim & his team for making a prompt delivery, in spite of last minute changes on our end that could not be helpedI'll most definitely use Gold Standard in the future, and have already considered hiring them for my daughter's move in the springThanks again guysGreat experience overall
