I'm giving this company one star for their quality of work and quality of serviceI bought my house without knowing there was waterproofing done by mid America basementsTherefore thought nothing about transferring a warranty to my name (my fault)I had to tear apart my basement because of their poor quality of workThe concrete they used on the job eroded away and caused a flaw in their systemAfter notifying them a couple times they would just try selling me stuff that would "fix" the issueIt took until the third time calling for them to realize it wasn't my basement that was the problem but their quality of workThe warranty claim department contacted me the following day and told me they would look into the issue and call me the next dayI revealed to them a couple times at this point that I never knew about any warranty needing to be transferred so therefore I never transfered it to my name and they told me okaySeveral weeks of me calling them to get an answer on what they were going to do they told me they would send someone out August of this year to resolve the problem under warrantyThinking to myself great they are fixing their mistakeAugust 19th comes and workers come in to scope out the situation to make repairsThey inform me that the whole water proofing system would need to be replaced because it's worse than what they thoughtOnce again I get asked if I transfered my warranty I tell them no and I ask if I'm going to have to pay out of pocket for this to be resolvedTheir worker tells me "no it's written down as warranty work it'll be covered under warranty, don't worry"Once again great they will fix their problemYet again their warranty claims department was HORRIBLE to work with no calls back I have to call them several times a week to finally get an answer weeks later that they would not resolve the issue because I never transfered the warrantyThere are other companies that I hear from my co workers that do water proofing in the quad cities I would give them a call before going to this oneNot only did they give me hope their quality of work did not last and I had to tear apart my finished basement and will have to do repairs either myself or call in someone else

We had some unusual needs related to the installation of the company's emergency backup sump pump system MidAmerica Basement continued to work with us over several months to ensure that our needs would be met when the installation was put in Even though the company operates out of the Quad Cities, and we are in Cedar Falls, IA, they had a local plumber assigned who oversaw their work The three young men (Justin Bailey - foreman) who did the install were hard workers and experienced at what they didWe appreciated their professionalism

Incorrect installation of clean space, tardiness, lies or ineptness of employees and unwillingness to stand behind workmanship
We had a Watergaurd system with 2" clean space installed in our radon mitigated basement a year ago by Mid America Basement SystemsThe installers never showed up the first dayThen when they showed up the next day we were surprised to find out that they could not do the install on top of footing as we had been proposed and qoutedThey instead installed it in what they themselves call the "mud zone" where during sale we were told is drawback to competitor systemsThis also meant finished basement walls have to move out 4" so we lose usable spaceThey were then in a rush to finish on timeAt end of install I asked the installers specifically if the clean space needed to be sealed to Watergaurd or to block wall since we have radon mitigation system and was told noI asked the same question to the sales rep upon follow up of install and he said noHe also

Not satisfied with sanidry unit
I have two complaintsThe salesman that originally came to my home was showing me how to get my basement prepped and he unhooked my water softener (this unit was only year old) it has not worked since! I did complain to the gentlemen during install of the sump pump and sanidry system
My main compliantI am not impressed with the sanidry unitI do not feel it does the job they stated it would doI have complained about this since the first month of installThey switched me to a loaner unit but I'm still not impressed with the overall quality of the unit for the priceI have asked for them to return this piece of equipment and they have refused

Company called and cancelled Service 930am on the day of the appointment
We signed a contract to have our basement sealed up on Dec 3rd of for a pretty significant work on our basement and crawl space, over $10,with 10% down due on signing in Dec 3rd The install date was set for Feb 5th Prior to install obviously the basement had to have stuff removed prior to installation We starting moving some stuff out the middle of January in preparation On the 26th of January we received a call from MidAmerican Basement asking and ensuring we were or would be ready on Feb 5th We said yes We did the final work to move stuff out on the January 30-31st since the appointment was on a Friday Feb 5th We have some boxes in our upstairs hallway and in our upstairs closet and moved some things to our shed per the contract the crawl space needed to be empty and the basement have things moved ft from the wall I took Friday Feb 5th off from work as my wife wanted to ensure I was p

Think twice before giving this company your money I was told I had business days to back out after signing and providing a $down payment They claim "no high pressure sales", but after cancelling the same day that I met with the sales person, I'm months out with no refund I followed their procedure; faxed and emailed the signed cancellation payment Other than a call to pressure me not to cancel I heard nothing from this company I had to contest the purchase with my credit card company *If* these people truly have a quality product, I can't see how it would be worth their poor, poor customer service Looking for other options when I am able to reschedule

Company will not give me my deposit back when they failed to be able to set up and appointment or have any information about my repair
On 8/27/*** *** with MidAmerica Basement Systems came to my home and wrote up and estimate to have waterproofing work completed in my basementI paid him 10% ($398.24) with a check that came from Peoria Title LLC (check was issued directly with our real estate transaction) we just purchased the home*** could not set me up with an appointment at the time and said someone would be contacting me shortlyI called there office on Friday (days after the deposit was given to the salesman) and the lady told me she did not have any paperworkI could not cancel at that time because they did not have any information from the salesmanI called again on Tuesday 9/and the lady (***) once again told me that she did not have any of my information and she would call me backShe did not call back so I called again today 9/She said she just got

Company is not fulfilling the service they said they could deliver Not following up proactively or offering follow through

on 10/28/*** *** came out for a bid on radon mitigation and took measurements and layout of my basementI was also told one Sanidry unit would out perform the two dehumidifiers I was currently running if I was interested in purchasing oneOn 12/27/the sanidry unit was installedIn June of we noticed the basement floors were damp and the upstairs floors were stickyCalled Midamerica Basement on 6/13/and explained the problem.Scottie Mohr was sent out on 6/21/2018, he inspected the unit and took humidity levels and replaced the filterHis conclusion was the unit was functioning properly and due to the layout of the basement he recommended a second $unit due to insufficient air flowOver the next weeks I requested a refund of the unit that did not perform how it was billed to meI was told no refund because the unit was functioning properlyeven though I was told it would out perform what I currently hadI was misled on

The crew from MidAmerica Basement Systems, headed by Mike *** who performed basement waterproofing in a section of our basement at XXXX XXth Avenue, Rock Island, IL XXXXX, was exceptionalThey were extremely knowledgeable and performed the work expeditiously and expertly! I am having them back to complete the rest of the basement and would have them back for any other basementy problems in the future!

Bought Egress windows, paid for, months ago, now won't install
I met with there sales man, in April I bought two windows, well, digging, cutting, for $5400, paid cash and they said they would install soonThey then scheduled for August, they called in July and said they had someone quit and needed to train another guy how to do the job, this scared me as it's cutting into my foundationI asked for my money back and they said noThe told me they would make it work and do a good jobSo I continued with my part of the contract and ripped out my finished basement drywall, studs, trimI ripped out all the landscaping and plannts outside by the windows like instructed by MidAmericaI called onedig and had them mark all linesI called MidAmerica to tell them gas line was to inches from where we'll will goRobin from MidAmerica said that's no problem as they will just hand dig around that line and they have done jobs where the line was closerSo not to worryThey showed up dug
