We have different lenders that have different guidelines and restrictions.  The [redacted]'s selected a vehicle with over 150,000 miles on the odometer which limits what lenders we have available that high mileage vehicles are not a restriction to be eligible for financing.  Credit or lack...

of may have been another factor at the time which I can not disclose however The [redacted]'s was presented with the terms, conditions, rates, pricing, and payments on the vehicle they chose.  The [redacted]'s agreed to the terms presented to them and chose to proceed with the purchase of the vehicle they selected.
As the [redacted]'s stated, AutoCheck by [redacted] was pulled on this vehicle and it did not report any accidents on this vehicle at that time.
We are not a franchise new vehicle dealer, recalls are not reported to us by the factory.
We offered to trade them out of the vehicle and our Salesperson, Tracey, has made several appointments with the [redacted]'s, but they never show up for their appointments.
This vehicle is the property of the lender and [redacted]. The offer still stands to trade them into a different vehicle otherwise the lender will pick this vehicle up and the lender will report to the credit bureau as a repossession.
We are here to assist.  If the [redacted]'s would like to trade into a different vehicle, please have them contact our salesperson, Tracey J[redacted], or our finance manager, Mark F[redacted].
If I can be of any assistance they may also contact me.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I'm  rejecting this response because: They told us to bring it back in 6months an we did in 8 months and nothing was done and they told ia they didn't have anything for us.. Tracy only contacted [redacted] by text and the car was already returned to them.. I don't understand they nevertf once ask us if we wanted to go with a different company for payment they told us that our credit score was to high!!!! We was down there like three times after they told us to bring it back in 6 months .... They did nothing ..... Gold star is known of there scam artists.... Many people have dealt with them and they lie time after time!!!! As far as the recall they were will aware of the recall and was just avoiding it like everything else ... I have also contact the owner and he didn't have the nerve to call me back after trying to reach him different times.... The car was wrecked and I have all docoments to prove that and also I have filled with the attorney general office for a full investigation of gold star as many as other people have with me... Gold star needs to do what's right of they still want to be in business and not have a bad rep.... As far as Tracy contacting [redacted] we never dealt with her . I guess they are having her to try fix there mess up.... Gold star is will aware of what they are doing to comsumer . How do they think that they can trade us another car when they lied about the first one they sold us ? They can call the car dealership any other time and they can't call them to see what cars or trucks has recall plus it was in the news andthey has been law suit because the car was shutting off when driving!!!! The car did have high miles and was only worth about 3,000 at the time and sold it for 6,000. That's a rip off not only the price but the arp rate to ....... We as in me and people are also contacting a comsumer rights lawyer ..... We don't want none of there cars or there lies they can't be trusted ....
Regards,
[redacted]

Interesting, Vehicle purchased over two months ago. Vehicle was purchased with  a 6 month or 7500 mile Powertrain with $200.00 deductible dealer warranty.  Vehicle broke down, vehicle was 100% repaired under warranty by replacing the engine with a total repair cost of approx. $2500.00,...

customer was aware of the warranty terms and conditions and that it carried a $200.00 deductible. Customer was told prior to repair what cost would be associated with the repair, which is $200.00 deductible plus $150.00 in non-warranty repairs , fluids, seals, gaskets, and shop supplies. Customer authorized the repairs.  Vehicle is ready for pickup. Customer needs to pay at a minimum the $200.00 deductible however We do advise the customer to make sure that all payments are current with the finance company (lien holder) to avoid repossession.

Review: I traded in my 2003 [redacted] for a 2005 [redacted] on September 1. I still owed $3025 on my vehicle and GoldStar agreed to pay it off. As of September 29 GoldStar has still not paid off my vehicle. As result I have been getting late fees and I'm sure it's ruining my credit.Desired Settlement: My experience with this dealership has been terrible. A quick [redacted] search revealed to me that this is a recurring problem with this dealership. Nobody has given me a solid answer to this problem, or problems I have been having with the [redacted] I purchased.

Although unlikely, I would like to end my relationship with this company. I would like my [redacted] back and I would like them to pay the late fees that have mounted. If they have sold the car and this is not possible, I would like the cash value of my trade in, $4000.

Review: on jan 25th 2014 I purchace a [redacted] from goldstar motor of [redacted] va a week later the car malfunction the dealer offer to fix the car, but the did not fix the car the car has a 6 month or 7000 miles warranty, the dealer said now that car is my problem and refuse to nothing about it.Desired Settlement: I woul like a refund or trade the car or at list fix the car

Went in with a goal, come out with a reliable car, that fits into my budget. Came in talked to christa the most friendly understanding salesperson, I've ever had a dealership. Came out with a 00 jeep that's right in my budget

Review: My husband and I went to the lot to look at vehicles. we were looking for a certain kind of car the salesman was very high pressure and convinced us to take this one for a day ..... having to sign the purchase agreement locking us into the loan and then the next day my husband calls to tell him the car should have never passed inspection and and was unsafe all kinds of lights came on in the warning system and isn't at all what we wanted he said too bad its yours now we returned the car put a stop payment on the check part of the down payment and requested our 1700 in cash be returned. they refuse and keep telling us to come get the carDesired Settlement: we want our money back and the loan canceled

Christa is such a pleasure to work with. Very helpful.

Review: On July 2nd of 2013 my self and my husband purchased a truck from this dealership we had traded in a surbarban towards the truck. We were given the option to purchase a additional warranty since the truck had high miles. We did purchase the extended plan which was the highest they offered. After two weeks of owning the vehicle it started to have mechanical problems was reving abnormal and was cutting off. Very next day we drove to the dealership without the truck due to it not running, and informed the salesperson and owner of the problems that we were having. Mind you the same day the truck started acting up we had a represenitive from the dealership come to our home to install a tracing device for non payment. Had told them of this and they said that they were going to call him and have him come back directly to our home to double check his install. The gentlemen never came back he just placed a call to us to reassure that he didn't do anything incorrect. The owner suggested that we take it to his service station located in [redacted] Virginia. and let them look at it and see what the problem was and the owner reassured us that if they could not fix it or if it was to much to repair then he would share options with us to trade the truck for something else. I had to have the truck towed to this establishment it cut off when they tried to load on a rollback so therefore there was no option of driving it the repair shop. They had it for a couple of hours and the owner of the repair shop called me to stay that he was finished looking it over and all they could find was that the oil was really old and that they never change the oil in vehicles at Goldstar before selling them. So he simply did a oil change and hooked a computer up to it which he said did not tell him anything. I personally stopped into Goldstar before going to pick up my truck to find out what the resolution would be if the truck did not make it home. Again the owner told me that if the problem was not fixed that we could look into other vehicle options. But they assured me that it should be fixed and that warranty would cover costs. However they would not reimburse me for the tow bill, because there was no warranty work completed. Which was another lie they told me. The truck ran fine for four days and started acting up again doing the same thing it did before. Called the dealership back on 7/26/2013 and informed them that it still was an issue and I wanted to know if the owner was going to be available on 7/27 and I was told that he would be at 9am. When I arrived at the dealership on 7/27 with the truck the same salesman that originally waited on us was there and he said he would have to place a call to the owner to see what could be done. This time we were told that we were gonna have to take it to a garage that would accept the warranty because the dealership was not gonna be able to do anything for us today. So after I left unsatisified I drove the truck back home still not running right and cutting off to park it and drive to the dodge dealership to make an appointment for it to be serviced correctly.Desired Settlement: I want them to honor what they originally told me when the owner stated if the truck was still not fixed that they would trade us out into something else. I'm highly upset that we are into a contract for a vehicle which includes monthly payments so in which we can not afford to service a vehicle that we just purchased and have not even had the opportunity to make our first payment yet. And it's unfortunate that we have an unstable and unreliable vehicle that has us stuck. And that we traded in a vehicle that was running and functional in which they already put on there lot for sale. Would like to see the checklist sheet in which they used to look over the truck before they put it on the lot for sale.

Review: I purchased a 2004 [redacted] from Goldstar August 31,2013. I haven't had the vehicle for 6 months and it needs a motor put it. It cut off Feb 13, 2014 and would not start. Thinking it was the starter had gone bad it was towed to mechanic shop while it was there they were told to change the oil as well, when they removed the oil pan they found out that antifreeze had been dumped into the motor. Friday Feb 14,2014 I called [redacted] sales manager and salesperson who sold me the vehicle. He never came to phone or returned my calls. I called Saturday and left a message on their answering machine and even called this cell phone and left a message he never returned my calls. I finally talked to someone their and asked to talk to his supervisor. They told me to call the number I have given you. The first person I talked to said they would look my information up and call back. After 30mins to 1 hr. I called back and got someone else. Again told them what was going on and I would not hang up and if I had to get a lawyer involved I would. He put me on hold to look up my informationand directed my call to [redacted] the owner. I was told by [redacted] the owner, since I had the vehicle only 6 months and it didn't have a warranty he would still help if could get the vehicle transported to the dealership he would either fix it or put me into something compatible to what I had with a warranty([redacted] didn't have one and I didn't buy one)Last Wednesday Feb 19, 2014 I made arrangements with the same towing company to have it transported to Goldstar, I then called them to let [redacted] know it was coming, he was off and the salesman I talked to said I needed to call [redacted] at their maintenance shop. After calling [redacted] I was told he only had so any parking spaces and that he had no room to put the jeep. He stated to give him a couple of days and he would make room for the [redacted] and call me. He promised me that it would be on the lot by Monday Feb 24 or Tuesday Feb 25th. He also has never called me.Desired Settlement: I would like Goldstar to take the 2004 [redacted] back and payoff the loan I got from their finance company [redacted] also know as [redacted]. I would also like to be refunded the 3,500 trade in and the 500.00 cash deposit I made for a total refund of $4,000.00.

Christa is a very helpful sales person. Highly recommended.
