Not being originally from Hawaii, I can tell you that I dreaded the thought of refinancing my home there. It had been my experience, since moving there a few years ago, that nothing involving paperwork, the government, large business, a condo association, or banks ever goes smoothly. Not to mention right about the time I needed to refi the Feds had just updated the mortgage lending process creating more government red tape.
Reluctantly, I went to one of those websites that promises to get banks competing for your business. About 5 minutes after clicking through that website I received an email from [redacted] with Grander. He gave me a ballpark quote that day, and promised to beat any others. Over the next few days the quotes came in and Grander was the best by far for interest rate and cost - so I chose them. I would like to say the whole process went smoothly but just as I feared all the problems I anticipated did manifest. However, [redacted] and the Grander team relentlessly overcame every single hurdle. Throughout the entire frustrating process [redacted] kept constant communication with me. If it weren't for him and Grander I may have very well thrown in the towel several times. They are fast, professional, and honest. Going forward, if ever I need a mortgage, these guys get first crack. Thanks [redacted]!

Even though I live in Portland, OR, I made the decision to work with this firm after speaking with 4-5 others. What made my experience with Grander Home Loans an excellent one was having the opportunity to work with Matt G. Matt was a great example of what oustanding customer service should be. He kept me well informed during the entire process and was extremely patient with my questions, concerns, and issues. He was prompt in answering calls and e-mails and always followed through with what was discussed and agreed on.
