Response:

Customer signed up for a monthly service. Contacted us for the first time on August the 27th. We cancelled her monthly service and issued a refund of 39.95. No further credit is due.

Review: [redacted] made contact to myself and my business partner stating that he could provide a service finding a government grant for the business we are looking to open. He said for $99 plus $9.95 shipping and handling charges, he would send us a 31 page questionnaire for us to fill out and send back so he could create a solid business plan to obtain government grants for us to start our business. If he is unable to get us a grand then our $99 would be refunded with exception of the $9.95 s/h fees. My card was charged a total of $109.93. He said once he receives the packet we would know in 2-4 weeks if we received a grant so we could move forward. He then said we "H4 C 1 Month FREE Access to the Non-Profit Database" thereafter I will automatically be charged only $39.95 per month. I may cancel at any time. We are unable to get him to return our call shortly after giving him a credit card to pay for the transaction. Once we realized it was a scam we did not want to move forward with his service. We received his receipt and it said we paid for a book and CD, which is not what we were told we were getting. He misrepresented his service. His direct number is [redacted] and he said he was from Albany, NY. I don't understand how he continues to get away with this! It appears that he has been doing this since 2007. He knows my business partner and I are mothers with children and we do not have a lot of $ and for him to take advantage of us, or any other consumer is disgusting!!! I hope that with all of the complaints that continue to be lodged against Grant Seeker Pro and [redacted] that the Revdex.com can assist in putting a stop to this scheme before others are taken advantage of! This is our personal money that we are investing to try and have a more stable income for our families and he is selfishly taking from people and putting it in his own pocket with no remorse!Desired Settlement: I want my credit card to be refunded a total of $109.93 and not to be charged any reoccurring fees of any, especially $39.95!

Response:

This customer not only received a refund from us for the charge but then then went on to receive credit from her card company as well. That is why no further credit was do. Maybe the Revdex.com do proper investigations instead of just assuming the business is the bad guy.

I was very happy with their service. The product was up to date and I was able to complete my business plan and apply for assistance.

Review: The software offered has a business plan portion which was unneeded and which did not offer any utility to someone who already has a comprehensive business plan.

The grants portion of the software is essentially the same information found at grants.gov.

When I called to inquire about what utility the software had, it was said that it was "all the information in one place" which was not the reason I had purchased the software in the first place. I purchased the software for the promise of guidance, but a phone number on the main screen of the software says to call for assistance (the reason I elected to buy the software to begin with), but the phone number goes to an automated attendant that informs you at all times of day that the company "is now closed" (though the software says it's open from 10am to 10pm). I am now wondering if the listing of grants is up to date, because it's just as simple to check online for more up-to-date information.

When I called the company directly regarding the outdated nature of the software, they told me that all I had to do was to follow the instructions for the particular program, and that I had to go to their web site to process a refund. However, their web site displayed only a blank page. The CSR told me: "I don't know what to tell you" and hung up.Desired Settlement: I would like the money I paid (less the shipping charges, which I understood was the risk) refunded to me. As I am on a fixed income (I live on housing assistance and other welfare), I can't afford the shipping to send their nonfunctional product back to them. It took me over a month to get the money for the product to start with. I'm tapped out for the next month. I simply want the money I paid back, and to be able to throw away this useless product.

I would further like them to update the software's main screen to reflect that the business it refers me to is not functional, or to remove any reference to it, since the assistance offered in the software is not available.

This has all of the hallmarks of a scam, though I'm not quite convinced their intent is malicious. However, I am convinced of their greed and unwillingness to admit their system lacks utility.

Grant Seeker Pro Inc. Has a very simple policy. Unconditional return within 30 days. This customer called us this morning 01-09-2015 and was instructed on this.To return something via Priority mail is about $5.00. Just like EVERY other company in the world if you want your money back you have to return the purchase. This is not an unreasonable request.

Review: I was accused of lying and being stoned when calling for refund information due to unauthorized access to my bank account. I was then hung up on. Called back multiple times with no answer. Had to call back on a different number. After he found out who it was, I was hung up on again. I left several voicemails and was not "called back" as promised.Desired Settlement: Apology by email and refund preferred. No further transactions.

To Whom it May Concern:

Customer Originally purchased the Grant Seeker Pro Book and CD ROM. They also signed up for the monthly service. On 03/27/2014 customer called our offices and spoke to [redacted]. They cancelled the service and we voided the $39.95 charge that occurred on that day. In other words the customer was never charged for the $39.95.

Review: I just wanted to inform you that I will be writing a negative review for this website and the actual company. I had a couple people call me to advise I qualified for one of the grants and all I had to do was get $[redacted] to them and it will be processed and sent to me so I can use for my bills like I stated I would be doing. They received my money and then told me they needed another $[redacted] from me as of [redacted] taxes and I didn’t have the money to do that or anymore as the money I gave was for my bills. I was told it would be cancelled and sent back to me by this guy by the name of [redacted] and a woman by the name of [redacted] called me back on Monday asking for more money from me and laughed in my face and kept asking WHY when I said I needed my money back as they did nothing for me except give me the run around about the grant and nothing happened. I am going to have a lawyer look into this as I gave $[redacted] of my hard earned money to someone who does not value the respect of other people that have nothing. I would like to receive a response to this email ASAP.

Thanks, [redacted]Desired Settlement: To recieve my money back and to never be called by this place ever again.

Response:

We do not have anything for $[redacted] We do not have anyone by the name of [redacted] or [redacted] that has EVER worked at our company. We do not actively call customers unless they ask us to. Looks like this person has filed a complaint against the incorrect company.

Review: When I order this book they said I could get a small business grant to open a Barbershop and then a have meeting in Wilmington DE at the Carvel State building w/ [redacted] and he told me they don't even give out small business grants to open a small business.Desired Settlement: I would just like my money back, I feel what they sold me was false advertisement.

Response:

Hello

Review: I was initially contacted by [redacted] and was informed that I would have a person that would assist me step by step with the procedure of researching the grants and the application. Once I received the CD and the book, I called for assistance. I received an email from [redacted] who informed me that I was entitled to a one time consultation. This is not what [redacted] told me. I asked [redacted] for the contract and was told that they will not provide it. So then I received a call from [redacted] and he informed me that I was supposed to talk to him first. I requested the amount of $100 back and he hung up in my face.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund

Business

Response:

Customer simply needs to follow the instructions on our website to return the materials. We have repeatedly informed her of this. We have nothing further to add

Review: After looking on the internet I was contacted by [redacted] by email inquiring if I was still interested in grant information. She signed her name and under it had the title "Grant Specialist". She gave a website w[redacted] to look at the company and what they offered. I did and on this website is also posted: "

"Although we have every confidence in our fabulous Free Cash Grant product we realize that not everyone will be 100% satisfied. That is why we are offering our 100% Six Month money back guarantee."

So I called [redacted]'s number that was also in her email ([redacted]) and spoke with her about the product and costs. She told me the book and CD were $99.99 and if I did get it I would also get one month free of being able to look up foundation grants and after that a $35 /month charge would apply. I told her I would call back but wanted to think about it. I did call back and decided to try it. After reading the book and going thru the CD I did try to apply for a grant listed. I found out that in order to apply I needed a DUNS # and to register with SAMS and I would have to go thru grants.gov. This on the CD was listed as "optional" but I did call and spoke with very helpful people at grants.gov and the CFDA.gov who both said I did need to register and have that information before I could request an application for the grants I was looking into. Then when I started filling in the "wizard" on this Grant Pro that was suppose to formulate the request, it would prefill what I put in properly and kept putting a Jr. after my name plus the font size was about an 8 barely readable which in their own book they said not to use below a 10. Then I found out that one of the grants they listed had closed a year ago. When I called tech support, [redacted], he told me to use white out and [redacted] won't answer calls or emails.Desired Settlement: I tried all the calls and spoke with [redacted] 3 times and another lady who was suppose to be "Start Up Specialist". She was trying to sell me on other "coaches" and basically just re-told me what was in the book. I would like a refund of my $99. I did complete the cancellation on the foundation grant of $34 and have a confirmation number. I am expecting I will NOT be charged.

We have a 30 Day unconditional money back guarantee. Simply return the materials for a refund.

Review: I called this company in May canceling my subscription and asked to be credited $39.95 that I was being charged that month. They did not follow through and continued to charge me the same amount for June, July, and August. I called this evening to ask for a reimbursement of those months' charges and they said they have no record of my voicemail in May only that I called back in August and that they then canceled the subscription. Even so, they never reimbursed me for any of the charges, not even August's. Tonight when I called them, the supervisor [redacted], said they had not record of the May voicemail. I said, "so are you calling me a liar?" He then hung up on me. When I called back, he admitted that they don't keep phone calls beyond sixty days.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund from this company in the amount of in the amount of $188.80 That would include the $39.95 for the four months plus a $29 late fee I was assessed on this card when I thought it was paid off. (This is what brought the charges to my attention in the first place)

Response:

Customer is NOT entitled to a refund. There is no record of a call at all till 08-04-2015. She left a VM at that time requesting cancellation which we did. She then calls in November demanding refunds going back to May? Claiming she called before that. Seriously?

Review: On 2-24-14 I purchased the grant seeker pro software. [redacted] guaranteed me funding or I would be refunded. Things didn't go positively for me and all of a sudden her line was always busy to me. At first I was going to give you guys a chance to maybe find something I might have overlooked. But after the way your customer service reps deal with problems - I just want my money back.Desired Settlement: You guys obviously need to learn how to deal with problems. And I want my money back within the month.
