I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This business uses predatory practices and does not do what it promisesIt uses bait and switch techniques; the sales person contacts the business owner offering a free evaluation then promises improved SEO ranking if this business is hired When the rankings do not improve, the next sales person suggests other services they sell to improve the rankingsWhen a business owner complains the sales person continues to say wait, wait, wait all the while nothing is improvingThen when a complaint is made, the customer service answer is "the work was done"The work that was done was useless and did not not provide the promised results. Furthermore, their answer to the Revdex.com is false, as the "work" they did, which consisted of adding keywords, is not still being used on my websiteAlso, the fact that they offered to waive the final payment and now offer a discount only shows that they are ashamed of their practicesTheir 'work' did not help, it actually harmed, as my ranking went down to the second page of google after they did their 'work' and the money they took as payment, produced no positive resultsRegards, *** ***

Please have the customer contact [email protected] if they would like to pursue this refund amount

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This is not the truth at all…I was the person who discovered the drop in ratings and I continued to monitor this I called and emailed…I have emails to prove that my rankings were not getting any better On the contrary they were getting worseOur company relies on two things to stimulate business…word of mouth and our website If they cannot find us then we cannot sell our cats They know this and for the month of December and January my rankings continues to drop more and more and more I CONTINUOUSLY had to asked for an update and what the cause of this or anything At this point my phone calls and sales have plummeted during those two months were I had to take a significant loss of sales At this point I am looking and want a FULL REFUND. Regards, *** ***

I am disputing the charges on my account from Main Street
Host since I did not get what I paid for and what was agreed upon. I have supplied documentation to support my
claim as well as the explanation belowOn March 27, 2015, I was charged $1,for Main Street Host
to do SEO work for two of my websites.
They were to make changes to both websites to help them get to the first
page on the *** Search engine. They
were Going to change the layout of my sites, change all the meta tags and the
body of text for both sites. They were
going to add *** Analytics and *** Webmaster tools. They were also going to do a link analysis. They were going to target the keywords I
requested. They were going to supply
this for months of service. Then on April 15, 2015, I was then charged $1,for them
to get rid of the “Bad” links they foundI was refunded this amount by my credit card company. They did not supply, nor, complete the work that was paid
for. They only made one change to each
website that is shown in documents and 2.
This change was not made until April 21, 2015, well past the payment
date of March 27, 2015. These documents
show a screenshot of my websites HTML code reflecting the changes Main Street
Host made highlighted in yellowWhen Main Street Host did make this change to my websites,
they would no longer pass W3C validation which is used to ensure your website
passes ***s guidelines to being a reputable website. If you do not pass this validation, ***
will penalize you and not list your website.
The W3C validation test and fail report from April 21, are shown in
documents and 4. I corrected the change from what Main Street Host had done
to what they are currently today so my site wouldn’t have W3C validation errors. These changes are shown in the screenshot of
my web pages HTML code and is reflected in documents and 6. The changes I made allowed my websites to
pass the W3C validation which is shown in documents and In Main Streets Hosts response, they stated the changes they
made were still in place, this is not true as they were quickly changed when
W3C validation failed. None of the
changes they made are in use for these websites. They did not provide any *** analytics or ***
Webmaster Tools, as I already had these and they were already in use on my
sites. They did not make any changes to any text or body of text or
to any of the layout of either site. They did not use the keywords I requested. The keywords I requested and the ones they
used are totally different. These are
reflected and explained in documents and Documents 11, 12, and show how my websites looked on
March 27, and how they look currently today, June 9, 2015. I took a screenshot of my sites on March 27,
so I could see the changes they were supposed to make. As you can see by the documents, both of my
websites look the same today as they did on March 27, 2015. This shows they didn’t make any changes to
the layout, text or body of any of my sites like they said they would do. I am still requesting a refund in the amount of $1,500 Thank you for your time and help in resolving this matter

Thank you for your feedbackWe value this tremendously and would like to take this opportunity to apologize for any negative experiences you may have encountered while working with our agency. On 6/14/16, this customer purchased the renewal of a Month Marketing Package for the agreed upon

Unfortunately, the customers’ website did experience a decrease in rankings during this service packageThis was communicated multiple times with the account coordinator assigned to their account, and Mainstreethost made efforts to rectify the issueWe did see our efforts resulting in increased rankings but it was not immediateThe customer canceled the account before we achieved optimal results and we discontinued our efforts at that point. The customer did request to cancel service and receive a refundWe agreed to cancel the account and waive the final payment balance of $We notified the customer that a refund for services provided was not dueAs per the confirmation of services sent to the customer at the time of purchase, our cancelation policy states that prorated refunds will be granted upon cancelation based on work that has been completedIn this case, the work provided to date was quantified as more than the payments that had been made by the customer. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Regards, *** *** The work was NOT provided as agreed. They told me that it would increase my sales and it did notI have proof of that, I can show you a graph from the company that houses my web site. Why would I pay this much money for something that has no effect on my sales? Then when I told them it had no effect, they tried to sell me ANOTHER package, redoing my web siteThey said that my site was out of date and that was really the reason my sales have not increased. I am not going to fall for their sales pitch twice! They also told me that they would get back with me and show me more about how it had improved my siteThey did not do thatI am not a programmmer, and perhaps they really did something behind the scenes to my web site, but if there is no visible evidence and there is no increase in sales, why would I want to purchase something that doesn't change anything? This is the second time this company has scammed me so I am a fool, I guessBut the first time I paid in full even though I saw no increaseThis time MIa told me that they were going to do a lot more and this time it would make a difference. It did not.
