Review: On 7-12-13 Greater Pitt Tree Service wrote an estimate for a removal of a tree and removal of the stump. The company did remove the tree that day and said they would return later that week to remove the stump. They were paid for the tree removal when the job was completed. The company did not return to remove the stump. I have not paid for the stump removal. I called the number on the estimate [redacted] and left at least 5 messages and we have never received a call back and the stump has not been removed.Desired Settlement: I would like Greater Pitt Tree Service to return our call and arrange a date to remove the stump at the cost listed on the estimate.

Greater Pitt Tree Service responded to my call same day, and the following day had all of the work done within a few hours. It was quite a bit of residential work, including 10+ trees and even more stumps. Also some scrubby foliage in general that we asked them to remove. Their work was quick, clean, and priced well. The guys I talked to with them were easy to work with and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to others.

Review: Contracted with Greater PItt Tree Service to remove three trees and take the stumps to the ground. The trees were removed but Greater Pitt left about 2 feet of stump above the ground on each tree. They stated that they would return and take the stumps to the ground. I paid them the contracted amount on June 5, 2014. Three times they gave me dates when they would return. It has been 7 weeks and they still have not completed the job. They don't respond to calls or text messages.Desired Settlement: Want Greater Pitt Tree Service to come and cut stumps as contracted.

Contracted with Greater Pitt Tree Service to have 3 large and 4 smaller trees cut down to ground level and removal of all debris. They left 2 ft. to 4 ft. stumps, left a good bit of debris and damaged my horseshoe courts. When questioned about not removing the stumps, said they would be back the following Monday to finish. No show. Called 4 different times about removal. Last conversation he accused me of nitpicking and he would not come back. I am in the process of suing for blatant breach of contract and replacement of horseshoe court.

We contracted this company to take down three enormous locust trees, four evergreens, and a row of saplings. They arrived on time, did a nice job of removing the trees, and cleaned up satisfactorily. We were impressed with their professionalism and attention to safety. They were very accommodating and pleasant with which to deal. There was no payment until the work was done and we were satisfied. We would recommend this business to anyone needing tree service.

Greater Pitt Tree Service did a terrific job for us. We needed 5 large trees removed and another tree trimmed away from some wires. Carlos showed up for the estimate on-time and beat out 2 other tree service estimates. The crew showed up when scheduled (even called an hour prior to arrival to give us a heads up to move cars if we needed to) and were very polite and professional. They did exactly what we had discussed for the estimate and did a great job cleaning up when they were finished.

We had an excellent experience with Greater Pitt Tree Service. On 5/16/15, they came to our house at 8:00 am with a crane, many trucks and many workers. The workers were in company tshirts . They worked quickly and efficiently. Everyone was busy the whole time doing specific jobs. They finished a big job cutting down 7 huge trees by 2:30. The property was left very clean. [redacted], the owner was very easy to work with.

Review: I secured an estimate from this company to have a tree cut down and the stump ground. I spoke directly with the owner, [redacted], to secure the estimate and place the order. At no time did he advise that my job was a two step process. The tree was cut down on June 7th and [redacted] was paid for that service. That day, he committed to completing the remaining work/tree stump grinding on Saturday, June 15th but never showed. I left 3 voicemails and 1 text message asking for an update and he has not returned or acknowledged any of them. He misrepresented his services and has not fulfilled his obligations via the estimate. Other people should be made aware of his business practices before hiring him.Desired Settlement: Fulfill his estimate obligations and grind stump ASAP.

Greater Pitt Tree Service has been a wonderful find for my household. Not only did they respond to my late at night inquiry they also came out to place a bid on the work at night in the dark.

The beat all previous bids on removing 2 pine trees from my yard and were even here to do the work the next day! No other company could have provided that type of service as they were all booked for a few weeks to a month out.

Workers were friendly and upbeat. The completed the work in a quick fashion and have done me a great service. I would recommend them to anyone in the Pittsburgh area that needs tree services.

My experience with this contractor was very positive. The estimate was competitive and the scheduling timely and at my convenience. The workers were pleasant, uniformed, outfitted with safety gear, professional and the cleanup was exceptional. I checked for insurance and had one other reference from a neighbor who had used their service. They took care to keep the street open to local traffic and made sure to respect the neighbors yards, fences and cars. I found the owner, Carlos, very respectful and he communicated well thru the process! I will use them again and I will recommend the service to friends. If you have to cut down a tree, call someone who knows what he's doing and cares about your needs and budget! My thanks to Carlos and the crew for a job well done!

Met the owner, Carlos, at the Home and Garden Show. He followed-up promptly and arranged a day and time that fit our schedule. His crew was prompt, polite and worked tirelessly until every branch and leaf was cleaned from the job site. Their price was very fair and he was straight-forward and easy to contact. I give Greater Pitt Tree Service my highest recommendation and will not hesitate to call them again for our next job.

I had an excellent experience with Greater Pitt Tree Service. I had several large maple tree branches that needed removed off of my neighbors tree. These branches were hanging over my pool and causing damage. The staff of Greater Pitt Tree Service handled this huge job without flaw. They took off all the limbs and took everything with them. My property was left in excellent condition. Everyone was very polite and Carlos explained everything up front and how the job would be done a how long they would be there. The estimate was right on and there were no hidden costs. I would have them back for any future work I need. Great Job!

We had nine trees cut down and stumps removed along with two tree trimmings. The crew was extremely efficient and professional. We were impressed that the job was finished in one day and the crew made sure that everything was clean and exceeding our expectations. Also, out of all the estimates that we had received for this job, The Greater Pitt Tree Service was by far the most reasonable, and the owner was always responsive and courteous to work with.
