At this time, I have not been contacted by green choice carpet regarding complaint ID [redacted].
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Good Morning,
We received notification regarding complaint from [redacted]. We picked up 2 rugs for this client. One of which damaged prior to service. We do have call recording with client's confirmation to this. We did provide cleaning to this rug but it did not accumulate...

further damage. We also offered repair for the backing. [redacted] declined. Despite the rug being older and damaged prior to our service, the customer wants not only a refund but a reimbursement for the rug's original value. We have done our best to try and work with [redacted] but unfortunately have not come to an agreement.
Thank you for your time,
[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Many thanks for the response. The response provided by Green Choice is not accurate however. Following the initial cleaning of my sofa, I expressed concern to the technician regarding brush marks left by the cleaning machine and cleaning solution. He assured me that once the sofa had dried (the following day )the brush marks would disappear and the upholstery would be fine. He invited me to be in touch should I have any problems. The day after the initial cleaning, I contacted Green Choice to express my concern about the state of the sofa. The sofa was now dry but there were still visible brush marks and discoloration to the fabric. I asked if the sofa had been damaged but Green Choice assured me they could fix the problem and restore the sofa to its original condition. Over the course of several weeks, I continued to express my concern on the appearance  and condition of the sofa - always with the same complaints (not different complaints as claimed by Green Choice). The fabric had visible brush marks, discoloration, dullness and fading. The technicians returned several times acknowledging the poor appearance of the sofa and attempted to reclean the sofa. Prior to each visit, I emailed Green Choice expressing the same concerns and questioning whether subsequent cleanings would help or actually further damage the fabric. At one point, they attempted to credit me for the cleaning ($170, not $200 as they claim in their email) acknowledging that I did not get acceptable service. I explained that I was not interested in a refund, but needed them to help restore my sofa to its original condition and to repair the damage done by their cleaning service. After several attempts to reclean the sofa, it still looked terrible. At the last visit, the [redacted] of the company claimed that there was no damage to the sofa and that it was my problem, not his. I have extensive emails going back and forth between Green Choice and me discussing the damage from the very first cleaning. I am happy to provide these to both the Revdex.com and Green Choice. In Green Choice's last reply to the Revdex.com they state that they are willing to find a reasonable solution to the problem. Since they have been unable to undo the damage that incurred at the initial cleaning, I sincerely feel that should cover the cost of reupholstering the sofa. I can provide invoices for both the fabric and the cost of reupholstery for their review and consideration. I would appreciate their help in resolving this matter quickly. I am an interior designer and this sofa is at the center piece of my workspace. It is important that my workspace look professional to clients. Timely repair of the damaged sofa would be most appreciated. Many thanks.  Your Answer Here]

Review: On 6/** I gave my custom made rug to Green Choice Carpet for cleaning and was promised that the carpet will look like brand new and wont have the stains (the reason I gave it to clean) I received the rug a few weeks later completely ruined. Below are the conditions that the rug was returned to me after the cleaning:1.The rug shrank in width by 1, which caused backing of the rug being bigger and folding underneath the carpet.2.the backing was completely off hanging out with edges unglued and completely coming of.3.the original carpet had nap, after the cleaning it became flat with the nap no bigger than . There is no plush to the carpet left at all.4.The rug became very soft and light, feeling like a piece of fabric, it used to be hard and heavy.5.There was dust/sand coming out of the carpet and I was told that its happening because of the poor quality of the rug.6.Noticed thread coming out, which happens when all the glue is washed out and nothings holding the stitches and threads in place.I was extremely disappointed with the service and after all I realized that the rug was not supposed to be washed in the water, because this type of a rug must be dry cleaned, the care instruction says do not wash. The rug is taken back by Green Choice Carpet into their facility, but unfortunately there is nothing can be done to restore it to its original condition.I started communication to the company about the reimbursement to be able to buy exact the same or similar rug. I had a chance to talk to their [redacted] who accused me of giving them a bad rug, denying that the rug was washed in the water, but when the rug was originally picked up the technicians described in little details that the rug will be soaked in the water for 4 days and they will be washed in the washing machine, which was unquestionably done. Also, Ive been told by Green Choice [redacted] that I can take it to the court and the judge will laugh at me!I was even accused for not telling the technicians not to wash the rug! I didnt know it must be not washed until I found out later!!! Do I have to tell the licensed professionals how to do their job..?I requested the Green Choice Carpet to send me the videos of before and after wash that theyre supposed to take for every rug they clean, and it took them 2 months to send it to me. When I finally received the videos I was stoned when I saw that the receiving condition video is completely falsified. They took the after wash video and saved it as a receiving condition. This is the most dishonest company I ever had to deal with. The unreliable company violates consumer rights and I feel cheated and assaulted.I would appreciate if some actions were done to make the company react to consumers inquiries. Thank you and regards.[redacted]Desired Settlement: The service fee that is paid to clean the rug is $350The replacement rug cost is $1350.00All together $1700.00

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

I am very disappointed with the respond from Green Carpet cleaners,

because their statement that they picked up a damaged rug is an absolute false.

The carpet was in a good condition and required some cleaning without any repair!

I would love to hear the recording where I confirmed that my rug was damaged!

This is a complete lie.

The business falsified the video of the receiving condition

of the rug, but I have a picture of how the rug looked prior to the pick up –

pls see attached picture.

I referred to the rug experts at ABC carpet and I am attaching

their conclusion on what was done to the rug.

I am attaching more pictures just to show in what condition

it was held, this should also give a better picture of how it looked a few days

before it was picked up.

I have a huge regret for not checking the business credential

before contacting them for services. The business has F rating with Revdex.com with

18(!!!) complaints.

And every time they just deny the wrong doing. I was never

offered any reimbursement not even the refund for the service fees which I paid

in full for before hands.

Their [redacted] responses are rude and attacking. The

truth is falsified and all they except me to do is to take the damaged carpet

back

Review: I have called this company over 30times regarding my Persian Silk Rug. They picked my rug up August * 2012. My rug was to be washed with a shampoo. My rug is a family antique, the 3 men that came to my home said they never had a problem and handle antique rugs, all the time. My rug was delivered Sept *, 2012 . To my horror, they cut the top part of my Antique Rug. I started to cry. The deliveryman called his boss, and I was promised they will fix my rug. I spoke with a [redacted] who said he was [redacted] and he said they have to do a full restoration to bring it back to it's original state. [redacted] said it's a very long process and will take up to 6 months to fix. After a zillion calls the rug was delivered Feb **, 2013. The man unrolled my rug and nothing was done to my Persian Silk Rug. It looked worst!!!Really faded and nothing fixed. Spoke with [redacted] owner on phone and said he was sorry and he gave me his word it would be fixed the right way.. Today it is September [redacted] 2014 and I have called over 100 times. The ladies that pick up the phone say [redacted] will call me back and someone is looking into the problem with my rug.. I have asked for the address in New Jersey and New York and they will not give the right address. My Persian Silk Rug is 8 feet by 12 feet it was pink, cream, and blue. It was worth over $12,000.00, I am heart broken it's been in my family over 50 years... Please help me!!!Desired Settlement: I would like my antique rug back in my home fixed. . If not I want the money for my Persian Silk Rug $12,000.00. .

Review: We hired Green Choice to clean our newly reupholstered sofa (approx one year old sofa) due to a pet accident. The sofa was in perfect condition visually, we hired green choice to remove the smell on an isolated part of the sofa. Green Choice assured us that an overall cleaning would be safe for the sofa and proceeded to clean the entire sofa resulting in extensive damage to the sofa. The fabric was left faded, marked, brittle and with roller marks over the entire sofa due to their aggressive cleaning and harsh chemicals. Again, we were only interested in isolated cleaning and they gave no indication that cleaning the sofa would result in overall damage, even though we asked them about the safety of cleaning the sofa up front. We would have opted not to clean the sofa if they gave any indication at all that there was a risk of damage. We complained about the damage immediately after cleaning and sent photos and emails documenting the damage. They agreed to send technicians to try to repair the sofa. We consistently expressed concern that additional cleanings could further distress the fabric. After several attempts to reclean the sofa, the sofa continues to be damaged beyond repair. The [redacted] came by to look at the sofa and claimed there was nothing wrong with his service and will take no responsibility for the damage. The technicians had agreed on each of their visits that the sofa had indeed been damaged and was left in bad shape after the initial cleaning. It is apparent just by looking at the sofa. Now the company will not respond to my emails or provide my with contact information so that I can send an invoice for the repair to my sofa.Desired Settlement: We should be refunded for the original cleaning of the sofa. In addition, we would like Green Choice to help with the costs of reupholstering our damaged sofa. We feel that they should cover the entire cost of repair however would agree to split the cost in an effort to move on from this terrible experience.

Response:

Green Choice came out to provide [redacted] service for pet damage on a sofa. There was a urine stain and odor on the sofa. When we finished original service, client was satisfied and signed off on our invoice. Shortly after, [redacted] called back to report that there were brush marks on the sofa so we happily provided a redo service. We proceeded to come out for an additional 5 redo services because we received various complaints, each one different than the last. We even had the [redacted] himself come out twice and assess the sofa to make sure there was no damage. With him, he brought an unbiased third party from a different company to confirm that the cleaning caused no damage. Despite our continuous effort, [redacted] was not satisfied with the service. Green Choice even offered a $200 refund but it was refused. We are more than happy to find a reasonable solution with [redacted] because our customer satisfaction is important to us.

Response:

Urine causes damage to upholstery. When we arrived for the appointment, we cleaned the sofa as directed. Cleaning does not, and did not, cause damage to this sofa. Despite this, in hopes of customer satisfaction, we offered multiple solutions. Unfortunately, this wasn't accepted.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

We originally called Green Choice for help cleaning our sofa to remove a urine odor from a pet accident. The soiled area was approximately a 6" square on the sofa cushion and there was never any issue with the overall appearance of the sofa. There was no stain on the sofa only an odor. Green Choice however recommended cleaning the entire sofa and mentioned nothing about the possibility of brush marks, fading or any other potential problems that could result. Attached please see the photos of my sofa the day after the sofa was cleaned. There are visible brush marks and fading over the entire sofa. There are marks even on areas where there was absolutely no urine to deal with such as the back of the sofa. Over cleaning and harsh chemicals can damage fine fabrics as shown in this photo, which was also sent to Green Choice post the original cleaning. The company's solutions consisted of returning on several occasions to reclean the sofa which only caused further damage. Their attempt to credit me for the cleaning was not helpful because the sofa was damaged and I needed help to repair the damage done by their cleaning service. In their first response to my complaint to the Revdex.com they said they would be happy to come to a reasonable solution to ensure customer satisfaction however in their last response they offer no new solution to the problem. I am requesting that they take some responsibility for the damage and help pay to reupholster my sofa.

Review: Carpet cleaning service provided at our home on September **, 2013 and satisfied with service provided. Authorized debit card for $791.00 with signature after service was completed. $791.00 was taken out of our account on September **, 2013, and again $791.00 was taken out on September **, 2013. Contacted company as soon as we noticed double charge (October *, 2013) and then spoke with multiple people (5); this same day as they assured me the money would be refunded. Called again on October *, 2012 and was told to be looking for the refund. Called again on October * and [redacted] and again was told the money had been deposited and we should see it post within 24 hours. After it had still not been returned we called again and they said the billing department would email us a copy of the refund to our bank- still have not received it. At this point our bank is going to dispute the charges for us in order to get our money back.

Business

Response:

We do apologize for the inconvenience we may have caused. As per our records the refund was processed the same day you called to alert us your credit card was charged twice, this was on October [redacted] 2013. Depending on which bank the credit card was issued from it usually takes 7-10 business days in order for the refund to reflect in your account. As per our records our customer service representative explained this to you over the phone on October [redacted]. We do apologize for the inconvenience but it is not in our power to rush situations like this.

Review: I contacted this company by phone to request an estimate for cleaning my sofa covers, and was given an estimate of $99. On 9/**/2014 a worker came to my apartment and said he would have to take the material to the factory and that the price would be $516 with tax. Although I gave him my debit card information and let him take the covers, I realized as soon as he left my apartment that I was being grossly overcharged, since the entire sofa could be replaced for $400. Within five minutes, I called the worker's cell phone, the store, and my bank to cancel my order. I left a message on the worker's cell phone, and spoke to someone in the store asking to cancel the order. On the next day I again called the store, and left another message with the worker that I wanted the order cancelled and would not pay for it. Nevertheless within a few days my debit card was charged for the $516. While I understand that the price given over the phone was only an estimate, it is entirely unreasonable for the final price to be more than five times the estimate. Having phoned both the store and the worker within five minutes, the order should have been cancelled. This business's reviews on [redacted] show that they make it a regular practice to give customers one price over the phone, which is then vastly less than the final price. At this time the sofa covers are still with the store, and I am out $516.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of the $516. The store can keep the sofa covers.

Response:

We were contacted by [redacted] on 09/**/14 to clean a sofa and slip covers for the sofa. Over the phone the representatives can only provide an idea of the cost since they can’t see what the condition of the sofa. This is the reason why we send a technician so he can assess and provide an exact quote based on the condition and on the process that needs to be performed. At this point the client can make a decision if he wants to proceed with the service or not. Our company does not charge for estimates so in case the client decides he/ she does not want to proceed with the service there will be no obligation for the visit. In this particular case our records show that we have a signed invoice by client which authorizes us to perform the service for the quoted price by the technician. The client willingly gave his credit card information to the technician so he can charge the credit card. Lastly the client signed the credit card slip. After client called our office and brought the issue with the price to our attention the technician was contacted right after this but the slip covers were already in process. Once a process has begun we can’t interrupt it for quality purposes. This issue was forwarded to management the next day and after review they decided to grant [redacted] a 10% discount on the total charge. [redacted] was not satisfied with the resolution and did not contact our office to schedule delivery of his covers despite our attempts to contact him. We have tried to resolve this situation but with no answer form [redacted].

Review: I contacted Green Choice Carpets to clean two area rugs. I was given a quote over the phone as an estimate for cleaning each rug, the estimate was off significantly. Regardless I chose to send my rugs with them anyway. I signed a contract and was not left one for my records. I wrote my service number and price quote down on a piece of paper and that was it. I didn't think much about it at the time but had assumed that an email copy would be sent etc. My mistake as a consumer, but I didn't realize how big of one it was at the time.

Upon delivery I conducted a quick inspection of the rugs, noticing that one of the rugs was terribly discolored. The delivery men agreed with me that it looked "blue" when the rug was in fact beige with a light blue pattern and they quickly rolled up the rug and got ready to take it back to the warehouse to be "looked at". I asked that the rug not be re-cleaned until I have spoken to someone at the company regarding the policy and plan for restoring my rug or replacing it. It already looked like it had been thru the ringer, and my presumption was that they had tried to clean it again already and returned it as "clean" as they could get it. I looked at the rug in a dark apartment and immediately noticed how badly discolored it was, how did a professional carpet cleaning company not notice in a well lit warehouse! Why was I not notified of the damage prior to delivery?

The day goes by have not heard from the company and I begin reaching out the following day. I am given the run around, no one is at the warehouse, management is not available.. this continues for another day. Finally I receive a call from [redacted], who is of [redacted] role at the company. She continues to tell me that it must be a problem with the carpet, or something I had done to it prior as they don't have problems like this. Blame the customer. When I tell her I have had the 2 year old rug cleaned professionally previously with no such problem, she tells me they will work to clean it as well as possible. I ask if she had seem the rug herself and she said, "no, but she would go to the warehouse to see it". I asked that all cleaning is halted until she has a chance to see it with her own eyes so we can make an appropriate plan. Days go by. At this point I learn that the rug has been re-cleaned against my wishes, and still is blue. I insist that [redacted] call me back, where I am again told she is unavailable. I tell the person on the phone I would like to be reimbursed for the property as it does not seem it will even be returned to me in usable condition let alone the condition it was given to them in. I was finally contacted by [redacted] who confirmed what was told to me days prior by a [redacted], that my carpet is not able to be repaired and they will compensate me for $200 dollars. Now back to that contract I should have insisted I got a copy of... on that invoice it states that they are not responsible for more than $200 dollars in damages PER ORDER. The rug that was destroyed was worth well over $200 dollars and had I received that invoice I would have requested further insurance. Regardless of that, I have requested information regarding how they intend to get me said $200 dollars for days now, with no answer from the company. I also requested to speak to their legal team and while [redacted] stated "they would reach out to arrange a meeting" they have yet to. It is a nightmare and full time job dealing with this company.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for my cleaning as well as reimbursed for a replacement of my rug. The link below is the same rug at the cheapest price I have found online. I want to be able to purchase the exact rug and with the $200 dollars I am unable to purchase a rug of comparable quality. I have used way to many hours tracking down people at this company and would like this issue to be settled. If I am unable to receive further compensation than $200 dollars, I would like that $200 as soon as possible, so a cheap replacement can be purchase. [redacted]

Good Morning,

Thank you!

Review: On August [redacted], I contracted GreenChoiceCarpet to clean my upholstery to which they quoted me $69 each for the sofa and loveseat. I confirmed several times with the representative. When the cleaner came, he said the sofa was $99 and $69 for the loveseat. I was upset but I had him to proceed cleaning since he was already here and added 1 chair. All of which amounted to $217, far more than the agreed price. The job was also not done professionally and even destroyed the bottom of my sofa and loveseat. I have pictures to prove it. My sofa and loveseat was worse than what it was before.

I contacted the company to report the problem and the representative said the cleaner lied (I have the excerpt of the conversation) but she put me on hold for more than an hour and left. Any attempt to contact the company for a resolution has not been successful.Desired Settlement: Since they lied to me and they admit that, I need my money back
