Review: Repeated telemarketing calls, consistently ignoring Federal Do No Call list & requests to stop calling. I have not done business with this company in the past and will never do business any company that ignores Federal Do Not Call list and requests to stop unsolicited telemarketing calls.

Most recent unsolicited telemarketing calls reported to Federal Do Not Call List were from this Caller ID:

**Jan ###-###-####

**-Jan ###-###-####

*-Feb ###-###-####

**-Feb ###-###-####Desired Settlement: Stop calling. Respect Federal Do Not Call list.

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience. Please be assured we heavily enforce all Federal and State DNC rules and would swiftly terminate any marketers working outside of those guidelines. The caller ID phone number you listed is not associated with our company but we will be investigating further to find out if any marketers dialed your phone number. We will also be adding it to our internal DNC list to ensure no calls come from our company. We take these matters very seriously and appreciate you bringing the matter to our attention for investigation.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: Company called me in fall 2013 offering cheaper electric rate than I was currently paying - glorified how great it was and how great savings would be. I agreed to switch to their company. Montly bills came - charges were about the same as always - wasn't saving anything. Bill due in Feb 2014 for Jan usage was quite low - due to a billing error on their part. Significant increased amount due 3/**/2014 - charges due on that date were $60 more than my average bill will previous provider ([redacted]), they were for usage and still didn't charge me for their Jan billing error. Seeing the huge payment due I called and was told it was higher due to high kwh used and was I using an elec heater or something that was making kwh so high and that part of the reason it was so high was due to their Jan billing error. During that phone call I was THEN offered a fixed kwh rate of .09. I did not understand why I wasn't set up with that fixed rate from go - they called ME and offered me savings. I agreed to stay 1 more month with them. I get my new bill, due 4/**/14 - enormous!! My average bill always been $85/month - bill last month was 145 and this one is 263!! They finally added on their billing error charge of 160.74. The kwh were charged at the fixed rate this time at least, however that fixed rate is still higher than my previous provider! This is not a savings at all! I called and talked to them - nothing they can do, account was closed out - per my request. I tried 1 more time - talked to mgr named [redacted] yesterday and he was YELLING at me that I used the kwh and owed the money. Say they can't help me out in any way due to acct being closed out now, they supposedly have no access. Charges are huge - costing me in 3 months of bills to them what it costs me for 6 months of service with an average monthly bill of $85/month with previous provider.Desired Settlement: I understand we used the kwh and owe for them for our usage. SINCE THE OFFER WAS TO SAVE ME MONEY and they completely failed to do so and charged me a lot more per kwh than previous provider, and never offered a lock in rate before I called with first complaint last month, I would like to see them adjust ALL the charges from the high kwh rate they charged me for all the months I was with them and charged higher than .09 per kwh. I am only asking to be charged at the locked in rate rather than the high market fluctuating rate I was charged for all the months I was with their company. I understand we owe for the usage that we used, but it was at a very increased rate and given their 'sales pitch' to save me money and they certainly did not I am requesting all bills adjusted to the lower rate of .09/kwh.

Response:

I personally spoke with the complainant, [redacted], on the day that she filed this complaint, which was last Friday. I advised her that her account would be retroactively cancelled and was provided with the resolution that she was seeking. Her utility has already confirmed that she will be reinstated with her utility retroactively, so as to have never received service from Greenlight Energy.

Her account was on a rate of $.09, and the reason she saw her bill jump significantly was because she had not been billed supply charges the previous month, and subsequently charged for two month's supply in most recent bill.

I have addressed this complaint with the manager responsible.

This complaint was addressed on March [redacted] and to my knowledge it was immediately resolved. If that is not the case, please let me know

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I accept the response that they have responded to me and are taking care of the issue and I will be compensated properly.

However, I do not agree with his response of being locked in at that low 0.09 rate, beacuse that WAS NOT the case! I WAS NOT locked it at any rate and was charged the market value rate for months with their compnay, which is why I had such high bills for several months. I DID NOT get the low rate / lock in rate offer UNTIL I CALLED with COMPLAINT about high bills and THEN they wanted to do something for me to keep me as a customer. They were horrible to me over the phone insinuating I used WAY more than normal kwh and suggesting I was doing something wrong to incur such high usage and therefore the high cost of my bill. They need to acknowledge their wrong doings in this case.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

The [redacted] of the company reach out to the complainant and resolved the issue by retroactively cancelling the account which in effect provides the resolution they were seeking.

The complainant is still referring to a conversation they had with someone from our office. Her account was not on fixed, and was put on fixed after calling in and requesting it. We're literally doing everything at the complainant's request, and from my conversation with her she had expressed that she was satisfied, and this is the third separate complaint she has filed against us.

Please review what the complainant is seeking and we will try to oblige.

Stay well,

Review: Green Light Energy called me and offered to lower our electric and gas utility bill by half of what we were paying. I decided that was convincing enough for me and I switched. They are charging 2x what I paid from RG&E. They have tacted on addtional charges on my last 3 bills w/o a detailed or explanation of the charges. When I called them they said well that is "your supply charge". I told them that it is 2x more than what I have ever paid. They wouldn't fix my bill and now I have to pay a $ 343.35 bill that would usually be $135.00 for this time of year.Desired Settlement: I would like a credit to my account for the additional charges or a Visa/Mastercard for the monies we are owed. For my service to switch back to RG&E.

Business

Response:

Since the complainant first began receiving supply services from Greenlight Energy in September. The total amount the account has been invoiced for the 4 months is approximately $193.62.

10/**/2013: $45.60

11/**/2013: $65

12/**/2013: $61.08

1/**/2013: $21.94

The reason the customer is seeing charges on their latest invoice without explanation is because they did not receive their 11/**/2013 charges of $65. If they go back to this invoice, they will see that they were never charged for supply.

These charges carried into their most recent January bill. So instead of receiving the $21.94 for supply charges, $65 was tacked on to account for the previous missed invoice.

This was the result of a billing error. This was explained to the customer by a Greenlight Energy account manager.

If the customer was on budget billing with their utility and owed money, then that could result in a rise to their bills as well. These charges come from the customer's utility.

The customer is referring to a bill for $343, and for 4 months of supply we have only invoiced $193.62.

We ask that the customer go through their utility invoices since starting with us and add up the supply charges.

Also, we ask that they look at their utility bill from early November to see that they never received supply charges from Greenlight Energy.
