Review: I have paid for a reserve parking spot in my housing development for the last past year. The first six months if I parked in myspotfive times it was a lot. I have been inconvenience by people either parking illegally in my spot or in front of it. I have tried following the rules calling to report the people to greystone ,the housing developmentand even the police. No one has been able to help me. I have been told that they would send someone out but they never do. I have missed days at work because of people parked in front of my car. I am afraid to take my elderly mother to her doctor appointmentS because if I move my car someone else might park in my spot for the the whole day. sometimes for weeks at a time. I was told when they tripled the fee that I would be guranteed a spot. I was also told that they would tow any cars parked illegally. That never has happened, I took my daughrter to the dentist this morning, I was gone for an hour when I got back someone moved the cone that states that it is a resrved spot, and parked in my spot until 9:00 pm. I have called the tow company all day and they never showed up. Greystone has taken my money and have not held up to thier agreement to tow illegaly parked cars.Desired Settlement: I would like for Greystone to hold up with their end of the agreement or refund part of the fee. since before they took over you paid three times less and you werent guarenteed a spot.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]Thank you, for your timely response however my issue has not been resolved. Cars are still parked illegally in front of my spot. As I have expressed to the company when they have contacted me, their employee is allowing them to park. Two of the people who are constantly parking in front of the cars has told both the guy who comes to check the parking lot that they are not walking from [redacted] when their building is right here. The contract states that you have to be parked in your assigned spot and not blocking any one. I would like the company to honor the contract and not be subjective when it come to who and when they will ticket and tow.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Greystone Management Solutions regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: There are still cars parked in front of my car as we speak. Greystone has contacted me, however they only went over policies and procedures in which I am following and they are not. The same cars has been blocking my spot for days now and no one has ticketed them or towed the cars. the last time I sent an e-mail I sent you pictures of the cars. At this point I do not know what to do because the people that are continuously parking illegally are becoming annoyed with me and I don't want my car further vandalized for my constant calls to Greystone and the management office about the issue.

We appreciate [redacted]'s frustration and are continuing to follow up in that development with enforcement efforts.

Review: In April of 2011, myself and my husband [redacted] applied for NYCHA parking at Washington and Carver houses as non-residents. At the time, we were notified that there were no parking spots available and we were placed on a waiting list. Over the years, we moved down to spot #1 for Washington Houses and #26 for Carver Houses. This year, parking services were subcontracted to Greystone Management Solutions by NYCHA. I have been following-up regularly with Greystone since the transition and have been continuously informed that we would receive notification this year of when to render payment and obtain the parking. As of several weeks ago, I was informed that a mailing would arrive shortly. Today, I followed-up with Greystone and was informed that we are no longer eligible for parking as we are non-residents and parking will only be issued to residents at this time.Desired Settlement: I would like Greystone Management Solutions to honor to original policy in effect when I first applied for parking. The new restrictions should apply only to those who have applied for parking once the new policy is in effect. If that is not possible, I would like to be given priority placement at another parking location near my home such as Lexington Houses. I would like to be placed on the waiting list in the order that my application was received by NYCHA. For example, I would be listed behind those who applied in March 2011 but would be ahead of those whose applied after April 2011. Greystone has informed me that I would have to file a entirely new application and be placed on the wait list as a 2013 applicant. This would take another 2+ years on the waiting list to be issued a parking spot. The policy is arbitrary and capricious as I am aware of non-residents who have been renewed at these "resident restricted lots" just this year. I would like this issue addressed and resolved promptly as parking availability is extremely limited and others who have also applied in April 2011 have already been issued permits for parking at Lexington Houses. If resolution of this issue is delayed I will suffer immensely as a result and be required to wait another several years as those who applied after me will be receiving the very limited parking and parking turnover is rare.

Business

Response:

I am writing in response to the above-referenced Complaint which was recently received by your office. The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has subcontracted the administration of its parking permit applications to Greystone Management Solutions. Greystone’s engagement includes the processing of renewal and new applications for residents and non-residents, as well as the enforcement of permitted vehicles at the NYCHA developments.

[redacted]’s complaint involves NYCHA’s waiting list procedure. She (a non-resident) has been on the waiting list for a permit at Washington and Carver Houses and recently moved to the top of the waiting list at Washington. Pursuant to a new NYCHA policy, Greystone informed [redacted] that new non-resident permits were no longer being issued at either of those developments.

While we certainly understand [redacted]’s frustration, it is important to note that the parking lots are primarily for public housing residents. Further, Greystone does not set policies for the NYCHA parking permit process, including waiting list procedure and/or priorities.

Sincerely,

Assistant Counsel

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

As parking administrator, Greystone has the authority to place my name on a comparable waiting list in the order in which my application was recieved. Therefore, since Greystone is claiming that they do not have the capacity to issue a parking spot in Washington or Carver due to NYCHA policies out of their control, then they should remedy this situation by performing an action squarely within their capacity which is to issue a parking spot at Lexington houses. Greystone failed to mention in their response that their suggested remedy was to submit an entirely new application, thus listing us at the END of the waiting list. It is unjust and poor parking spot administration to suggest that someone whose been waiting two years be issued a parking spot after someone who just applied. I am 100% certain that my fellow neighbors (also non-residents) who applied in April 2011, such as myself, have recieved permits, this month, to park at Lexington Houses. I also wish to contend that NYCHA parking is primarily for NYCHA residents as the lot has always been open to non-residents such as NYCHA employees (who must also apply and receive a permit), police officers, east Harlem residents and the general public. I implore Greystone to perform the equitable act of issuing us a parking permit at Lexigton Houses and thus resolving this issue within their capacity.

Greystone has since resolved [redacted]'s complaint. She has been placed on the appropriate waiting list.

Thank you,

I had been waiting for a week to get the link they claim you get to start making payment haven't got it yet, I spoke to the young who answer the phone she told me, I will get a link that day through email. I waited all day no payment link came. I called the next day I spoke to the same person to be put on hold for 15 minutes to figure she hanged up the phone on me. I waited two day to pass then call the third day dialed like five times to get someone to answer, it was the same person I spoke three days prior she told me hold on, right after that she hanged up the phone I called back four time right after no answer all I was asking was simple question. She blatantly hangs up the phone on customers. You got keep calling several times and hope someone will answer. Very bad customer service you don't treat people that way. Someone please address this issue and fix it. Thank you.

Review: I used to have a parking spot years ago in NYCHA until I sold my car. I bought another car 4 years ago and was trying to rent a spot since 2012. All I was told from Greystone is that I am #47 on their list and there are no spaces available but everyday there are plenty of empty spaces in the lot to where people had either passed on or they had moved. Last October I needed surgery on my knee and I was trying to contact Greystone to see if I can get a temporary permit because I was unable to drive. (alternate street parking rules) They have not returned my calls in months. In the mean time, I received multiple parking tickets because of this. Now I am going to have another knee surgery in January of 2016 and I refuse to go through the unnecessary heartache again. I've been trying to call them since April of this year to no avail. They refuse to call me back. I had spoke to the manager of by building to see if he can get in touch with someone at Greystone but he failed as well. I desperately need your help. I am on disability and cannot afford excess amount parking tickets because someone at Greystone dropped the ball..again!!Desired Settlement: I need a parking spot NOW!!. Cannot wait any longer...

Response:

We have contacted the customer and explained the waitlist

process. Customers who apply to be added

to the waiting list are called off in the order in which they apply, with

residents getting precedence over non – residents . Greystone is unable to provide a time frame for

when a customer may be called of the waiting list and offered a space. However [redacted] is near the top of the waiting list and we expect to have a vacant space

to offer her shortly. We have relayed this information to her. Sincerely,Greystone parking Services

Review: I have parked my car in a housing parking lot for about five years. I have emails to prove in April I attempted to renew my parking sticker because I did not receive a renew application from Greystone parking in the mail. After making a complaint with 311, I received my sticker in July 2014. This is three month after my sticker expired. My car was towed in July before I received my sticker. After my 311 call, [redacted], ([redacted] of [redacted]) stayed in touch with me until I received my sticker. He told me the contact person at Greystone would be [redacted]. After receiving my sticker, I asked [redacted] about getting a refund for my car being towed.I was told I could not get my refund returned because I should not have parked in the lot after my sticker expired I told him, "It wasn't fair Greystone had my application and fee before my sticker expired." I should be compensated for the three months they had my documents. I asked at least extend my sticker for three months. He told me he would get back to me. I called him and left messages but I have not heard from him.Desired Settlement: I want my $136 for my car getting towed. I attempted on several times to receive my renewed parking sticker. It is not fair Greystone held my application and fee and I never received my updated sticker before the old one expired.

Sincerely,

Review: I originally put in for a parking space rental for the year beginning May 2014. I sent in my application, and a $60 US Postal Service Money Order as requested. Towards the end of the month I realized I still have not received my parking permit for my development, I then began sending an email on 5/** to get some insight on the application status. On 5/** I was given a response asking some more details about my question in general if I was renewing my permit so they can locate the account and I replied. After various prompts waiting for a live person to speak with, the line redirects you to a voice service and asks for your number to get a call back within 24 hours or simply go back to emailing them. The following day I get an email response which was highly generic and I still never was informed about my own application submission. The next day 5/** they expressed new applications were processed last week and I shall receive my permit in 7-10 business days. The twelfth day came so I tried making contact again on 6/** first with a call and then ended back at the voice mail. Totally frustrated I sent yet another email asking why no one is bothering to call me so we can fix this situation promptly? After 48 hours past 6/** I then called to speak to a customer service representative personally, still sent to the voice mail or email options. Later that afternoon they sent an email saying that my application was denied due to the fact I did not send a copy of my registration, which was an honest mistake and if someone had contacted me as soon as they seen this mishap I could easily have faxed over a copy to them to get the process rolling. No one calls, no one sends a letter to tell you whats going on, and worst is they do not answer their phone line. In the email they simply said add a copy of my registration and return the packing immediately, which I have no problem doing but its almost two months later that I gave them the money and I am still waiting for the application to be returned to me! I sent another email today to verify when exactly did they deny/return my application, it does not take more than three days to receive mail within NYC.Desired Settlement: Customer service is the key, I do not know the reason why New York City Housing Authority chose to add a third party into their residents business. However, just because these are subsidized housing developments does not mean the people whom live here do not have education or common sense. When your dealing with finances everyone should be on the same page and if someone needs to ask a question about how their money is being used your supposed to be able to respond with ease of a few clicks on the screen. Thank you, we have received your application and was/ or was not accepted for such reasoning please contact us or send your dockets to this location please. It is very simple, all those emails and all I had to do was attach the registration to one of them and the problem would have been solved.

I received my original application back with the stamp stating it was received on May *, 2014 and REJECTED on June **, 2014, with a postmark for June **, 2014. I then reprinted and sent out a completed application package including the auto registration, and US Postal Money Order for $60 via Certified Mail which I paid $6.49 for with a signature return card attached on June **, 2014. The tracking information states it was sent out for delivery on June **, 2014 and had no more information to follow afterwards.

I am still waiting for my permit, I still haven't received the signature card, and I am now currently out of $66.49 until I figure out whom has this envelope in their possession.

I have lived in [redacted] apts for 3 years, today after working all night I came home to no place to park. The it manager closed half the parking lot on Saturday when all the transients she allows to crash here filled the lot, again. 78 units figure out who lives here **. Moved my car 4 times before I could get to sleep, why do I pay rent if I can't park. SPENT THE DAY AT A MOTEL! because I could not go home. sincerely , [redacted] apt# [redacted]

Review: I am very displeased with the service i'm getting with Greystone regarding unauthorized vehicles in my parking spot.

I live in Tompkins Houses and I have a spot in lot #1 space 32 and on more than one occassion there has been vehicles there. I've called the number provided for after hour parking matters and left messages and no one is sent out to have the vehicles removed. Each time i've called back the following day I speak with a very rude employee who does not give me any answers as to why my message was not retreived or why a tow truck was not dispatched to remove the vehicle. I've called my development during business hours when this has also happened and I was told all calls must go to Greystone since they are a private company that now deals with parking issues. I pay for this spot and expect to have it free whenever I need it. It seems that each time i've had to call Greystone I can never get a clear answer on what the process is or if they plan on creating a system which will prevent others from using my spot. Their employees pretty much told me I had to wait until the next business day to have someone sent out and the vehicles would have to remain in the spot i'm paying for. I do not think this is fair and I would really like some assistance on having a better relationship with this problem.

Thank You,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to be able to speak with someone directly outside of business hours if a vehicle is in my spot to have the car removed or I would like for my message to be relayed to the proper company that handles this issue. .

I would also like for them to create a system that would notify other vehicles that a spot is taken by paying customers and the tow truck company contracted with them should make frequent checks of the property to make sure there is no unauthorized issues.

Review: I have paid $297 on a one year (4/2015-4/2016) lease for a RESERVED spot in my [redacted] parking lot, located in West Brighton I. Daily/nightly the lot is nearly completely filled with unauthorized vehicles. Within the lots limits are posted warning sign which are out dated and the towing vendor confirmed they no longer are in contract, and the signs are old when I called yesterday afternoon after leaving a message on the ###-###-#### unauthorized parking message system. Whereas your directed to leave your information pertaining to the complaint and they are supposed to return your call which NEVER happened. I contacted the [redacted] office and they redirected me to Greystone insisting they have no control over the parking lot as they have the same parking issues themselves in the employee parking lot. I called a second number ###-###-#### today for general parking information, following the prompts to speak with a representative and the message immediately said there is no one available the time was 2:30pm and said to call back! Today I return home to find a line of [redacted] vans and building construction contractors parked in the private lot spaces DAILY, of course one was in my reserved spot. I have no way of getting ANY vehicle out of my spot though I paid $297 to have one appointed to me! I sent an email directly to Greystone Management last month asking how this issue would be remedied before the next parking system began, no one bothered to reply to it. I have had problems dealing with Greystone since I first applied last year and was forced to make a Revdex.com complaint for lack of services rendered.Desired Settlement: I would the parking lot changes POSTED so everyone is aware there are certain spots PAID for to be marked "RESERVED". I should not have to feel harassed or harass other people because your policy is not being enforced! The signs should have up to date information on them so tenants can contact the towing company at will being that this is an ongoing issue. If you can not fulfill your contract then you should fully reimburse me for my trouble of not being able to utilize the parking lot that I paid for!

Review: This company is has a neat scam put together really well at the expense of the residents.- If you apply for a parking spot in your residence, they will give you a spot 1-2 blocks away. If you call to ask them to fix their mistake, they will charge $25.00 on top of the $370.00 you will have already paid. Giving people the wrong parking spots on purpose apparently makes good business because "Grey-stone Parking Services" gets paid $25.00 every time they run the same mistake.- The parking permit for the spot starts from from the time they get your application REGARDLESS if you get the permit or not. Example, if you apply in 4/2013 and there's still paperwork missing on your behalf and you get your permit physically in 7/2013, that's included in the permit of the 1 year despite if you get the permit in hand or not. - Your not allowed to talk to the supervisor or anyone in charge if you call...apparently ever. This companys business practice needs to be looked into.Desired Settlement: - Fire the supervisor for not accepting phone calls. - Fire the secretary for telling customers "they arent allowed" to speak to the supervisor on duty.- Issue parking permits where people actually live.- Send them back to school for "basic people skills".

Business

Response:

We will speak with the applicant directly to explain NYCHA policy and options. Thank you.

Please do not trust these people.
[redacted] them and see all the news stories of their incompetence. They were somehow contracted by [redacted] to oversee the parking lots yet somehow fail at their only responsibility.
The application process will take months. They take 3 weeks to respond to emails. There is zero accountability on their end. They blame [redacted] blames Greystone. For this great service, you get the privilege of paying 5x what the parking fee was prior to their involvement. You, as the little guy, get screwed. In 2015, they must operate via stone age technology. Every step of the process is backwards and inefficient.
My advice to you if you unfortunately have to deal with them. Expect month long waits for anything, communicate via email so you have a record of everything and pay with a credit card so you at least have some recourse when they FAIL to provide a service you paid them for.

Review: I have made several attempts to secure a parking sticker, however there seems to be numerous challenges. First, my online request was lost, I promptly completed another online request, which was also lost. I was advised to send a money order and mail the form to Greystone, which I promptly did and yet I continue to have no answer. Today, after speaking with a representative, I was told that no one really knows how long the process is going to be. This is frustrating to me especially since, the same representative advised me that submitting a money order along with the application would speed up the process. I don't understand why this continues to be a challenge, especially since I prepaid with a postal money order. Greystone has my money, but are not moving forward with the process. I am disabled and need my car parked in a spot that allows me to be able to get to work. I have called numerous times, but I am not getting the support that I need, nor is anyone providing me a straight answer. Initally I was told this would take 7-10 business day, but it has been well over a month. The further I park my car the more pain it causes in my leg and the one time I parked in the lot they had my car towed. All of this for a parking sticker, which by the way is paid for in full.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my parking sticker
