To Whom It May Concern; After agreeing to a deal with the salesperson the customer didn’t want to buy insurance.  She began arguing with her husband about it and then she went and sat in their car.  The husband stayed in the dealership and agreed to purchase the car.  He willing, and...

happily signed all the legal documents, and they took delivery of the car.  The next day the husband came back in and said that he wanted to return the car because she was going to divorce him.  After the sales manager talked to the customer they said that they wanted an all wheel drive.  However when they spoke to our BDC rep ([redacted]) on the phone prior to coming in they stated that a front wheel drive would work for them.  They also told the salesperson this.  Even after this we arranged a dealer trade  and agreed to a price on an all wheel drive.  We then got the dealer trade that they wanted. Reversed the first deal.  Then they took delivery of the all wheel drive that we got in the dealer trade.Thank you,[redacted]General ManagerGrossinger Hyundai[redacted]

Dear Ms. [redacted],
I am very sorry about any inconvenience that this may have caused you. That certainly was not our intent. It is customary for clients that pay cash and reside out of state to handle their own license and...

title with their respective states. I realize that our staff initially sent you paperwork with no title on 07/17/2015. I can see how this would be confusing to you. However, when you called, we immediately sent you the title, as well as a full refund of the sales tax, and the $500 'out of state' registration fee. It is our hope that you will accept our apologies and consider us for your auto needs in the future. Thank you.
Sincerely,

They did not send me a full refund of the sales tax I paid. It was $25 short and I would like them to send me the $25 still owed to me.

My husband and I went to grosssinger Hyundai to get a routine oil change we purchased a car from there in 2011 we bought it with only 9 miles the car has been nothing but problems we kept getting calls to trade in the car that they wil guarantee we get a new car we went several times and left with the same car they stated that this time was different so I decided to include myself in the loan because my credit was a lot better than my husband I specifically stated I did not want my credit run that I had a preapproval code from capital one that's the same loan my husband had all they had to do was call capital one they assured me they would not run it they lied they ran my credit six times without my permission my transunion score went down 9 points and my experian score 36 points :( really disappointed We spoke to manny from finance he said he was gonna make a right and write a letter stating that they pulled my credit in error so I can send it to credit bureaus. Well I'm still waiting for the phone call and the letter no response. I'm extremely disappointed in George from finance and Phoenix car sales for running my credit and they did not give me my check stubs

To Whom It May Concern:Our office is in receipt of the above customer's complaint.  We are reviewing the concerns and will update the site upon completion of our inquiry.Thank you,D.[redacted]Operations ManagerGrossinger Autogroup[redacted]

To Whom It May Concern,   We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused Mr. [redacted].  We have cancelled the service contracts per the customer’s request.  A five year interior [redacted] Fiberguard protection was applied to the vehicle prior to delivery disclosed on the...

addendum of the vehicle for $389.00 at time of sale.  This is non cancellable since the application has been completed.  However, since the optional seven year Paintguard, Soundguard, Leatherguard, and Rustguard have not been applied we will gladly refund the difference between the $1347.00 charge and the $389.00 of $958.00 to the customer’s lienholder.  Thank you in advance for your patience.    Best, [redacted] General Manager Grossinger Hyundai

To Whom It May Concern:Grossinger Hyundai has been working with Mr. [redacted] to recitify his concerns.  Grossinger is reimbursing Mr. [redacted] $132.55 in expenses.  These terms are agreeable to both parties.Thank you,[redacted]General Manager Grossinger Hyundai[redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/08/06) */
Dear Mr. [redacted],
Thank you for taking the time to explain your experience with Grossinger Hyundai. We are sorry the experience did not end up in you owning a new Hyundai. During your buying experience you signed a "Grossinger Hyundai Rider to...

Purchase Contract/Lease Contract". The rider states, "The customer understands and agrees that Grossinger shall not be obligated to sell unless a third party agrees to purchase any motor vehicle retail installment contract signed by the customer in connection with the intended purchase of a vehicle from Grossinger. Customer agrees to return the vehicle within 24 hours after notice that Grossinger has not obtained a third party willing to purchase a lease or retail installment contract....After return of the vehicle, customer agrees and acknowledges that he/she shall remain liable for any damage to the vehicle other than ordinary wear and tear, and for any loss to Grossinger as a result of customer's failure to timely return the vehicle, as a result of false finance statements to Grossinger, or by customers failure to cooperate in obtaining third party approval. Upon the return of the vehicle, customer shall pay Grossinger the sum of .35 for each mile the vehicle has been driven by the customer." Unfortunately, due to credit and the inability to prove more that a few days of work for [redacted], the lenders have denied your application for purchase. We refunded you $780.35 of your $1470.00 deposit. The rest was applied to the 1969 miles you put on the vehicle. We wish the circumstances would have been different and are at the mercy of third party lenders as well. Should you be able to obtain financing on your own we would be happy to assist you in the buying experience in the future.
Best,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/08/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
To begin, I finally heard from [redacted] who was he one who said my downpayment would be returned to me. Four days later I received some of the funds but short about $700 with no explanation whatsoever. I called 6 times, emailed just as much and it still took a week to get any response. Finally I spoke a few days ago with [redacted], the GM there and he explained the situation but my concerns are only greater about the horribly unethical and manipulative way I was treated.
If [redacted] can now sit on a phone with me and explain all the details of what the forms I signed were all about, it smells very evasive and coy to me that this same person could sit across a desk from me while I signed these contracts and he just sits mute the whole time. Why? Because they are counting on people's ignorance; they thrive on this. Never was I once told this financing my not finalized. Never was this preposterous policy of literally financially raping me and ruining my life by charging me triple the cost I could have paid to rent the same car they took my money for. I never wanted nor intended to even purchase a car that day and they railroaded me right into this then they sit with their hands in their pockets innocently whistling the whole time they're handing you mountains of papers to sign and intentionally withholding vital information. I would have NEVER have accepted the contracts they were handing me had I understood any of this. I would have said keep the car and call me when you have financing that's finalized. And then worse, they keep this money which [redacted] stated I would get back in full and I have to literally barrage them for over a week to even get an explanation.
And almost more disgusting is that when I could show proof that the Grossibger staff intentionally lied to me ([redacted] and her story to lure me back about needing to sign some forms for example) the GM barely seemed Nto care.
It's possible that what they did to me is legal, but it was also deceptive, manipulative and morally wrong. And they know full well that's what they're doing and they've left me, a cancer patient, unable to pay for my medications as a result.
Just because they can do a thing doesn't mean they should and on the principle alone of how badly I was treated by the whole staff at Grossinger they should've taken it on the chin and done the right thing and given me my money back.
They got to keep my $700. I get to try to fix my ruined lfe due to trusting in them and bring willing to do business with them.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/08/20) */
Dear Mr. [redacted],
General Manager, [redacted] spoke to you at great length recently to address your complaint. We are very sorry for the personal circumstances you are currently in. However, Grossinger sold you the vehicle with the understanding you were gainfully employed to meet a lenders approval. Unfortunately, your credit and inability to secure third party financing left us with no other choice but to take the vehicle back. During your conversation with the [redacted] he asked you why you only worked 2 days with [redacted] you stated, "You had enough in the bank that you didn't need to work". We are more than happy to sell the vehicle as a cash purchase and apply the $689.65 to the down payment if you are still interested in the car. Our position still remains the same.
Best,

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
To Grossinger and the Revdex.com, \i think this matter, simply put, comes down to one thing. Does this 'business' treat it's customers fairly, with honesty and integrity and provide a valuable service or do they not.
For my time and interaction with Grossinger, let me tally up the score. I lost/wasted/was bilked out of nearly $800 that I absolutely could not afford to lose, I lost 4 weeks of working which cost me literally thousands of dollars in lost income, and lost countless hours and hours chasing the staff of Grossinger to even have one conversation with me. In one month's time they could not even be bothered to reply to one of my dozens of calls and emails. None. And for the record, so catastrophic was the loss of that money (which could and should have been easily avoided by simply talking to me, as [redacted] did AFTER the fact), I am currently living without electricity. You see, losing that money and all that income put me in a position of being likely to lose my home I purchased 10 years ago and lived in with my recently deceased spouse, and also put me into a position two weeks ago of having to make a decision; do I go out and purchase my own cancer medications that I've been without for almost two months because of Grossinger, or do I keep the electricity on. I chose my medications. It will be two weeks before I get another paycheck that will allow me to have the lights, the refrigerator and the stove working again. THAT is what I reaped from Grossinger and my interaction with them.
I put it to all of you: Would you send one of your family members or friends to Grossinger with confidence in the way you'll be treated and the value you'll receive? If so, then there's really nothing more to say and I'm either crazy or the only person alive with a soul or ethics any longer. But my guess is no you would not and that's all that should matter here. Does the Revdex.com want Grossinger showing off that Revdex.com A+ accreditation across the top of their web page (a fact that also helped guide me there and makes me question the usefulness of the Revdex.com today)? Go onto [redacted] and see exactly how many satisfied customers Grossinger has. I believe they currenly rank 2 of 5 stars.
The fact is, they people support a whole culture of misleading, obfuscated information and outright lying. Every one of the staff there lied or intentionally concealed information that would have been vital to my being able to make a reasonable, fair decision about my supposed purchase. The truth is none of them would know honesty or integrity if it bit them and they do this because it's the only way they can compete. They know they're woefully underqualified in a fair fight.
Most of all though, is that Grossinger treated me like a dog. They used me, stole from me (legally or otherwise) and they know it. I have, all my life, working in positions that had direct contact with a customer or client. It would be utterly inconceivable in my mind to first off, ignore a client with concerns for FOUR WEEKS. It's appalling and it's very telling. You see, they got what they wanted, my free money, and now they had no further use for me. Throw me away and so they did. They have never once tried to work with me, made any effort to even show the slightest concern for my happiness or satisfaction. They don't care. If you look even at their pedantic responses here, it's nothing but self-denial and attempts to blame shift their appalling behavior onto me, the customer, the guy with no meds, no money, no house and no electricity thanks to them. It makes me sick and short of a full refund (which they should give morally if not legally) and an apology from the whole staff, I will never be satisfied nor relent. But don't worry [redacted], I'll probably also be dead soon thanks to your loving care and assistance.
One final thing. I have contacted Grossinger at LEAST 12 times over the past almost two months asking them to please return my iPass transponder which belongs to me and has $50 worth of toll road money loaded onto it and which I owe a deposit for and still I have nothing from them.
It would seem Grossinger's inability to return things they don't belong to them is a recurring theme. Maybe it's intentional lack of ethics, or perhpas it's just utter and complete incompetence but either way it's despicable and I am certain they've already lost far, far more business than my $800 would have cost them. It's shortsighted and it will cost them. They're just too greedy of small to see it or do know about doing the right thing. And as I've shared this story, truthfully without holding anything back, nobody, not one person, has said anything less than "That's the most messed up crap I've ever heard of".
Yup. I agree. And I"ll make sure everyone knows about it if for no other reason than I want to steer my friends and loved ones away from having their lives ruined by petty greed.

Six weeks ago I purchased a new car from Grossinger. They were suppose to deliver it with a tow package. It was not installed. Salesman said call any time we will pick it up and have it done. Four weeks of trying I found out he no longer works there and [redacted] the sale manager would help me. Two weeks later and 15 or so calls, ZERO calls back from [redacted]. I called service and made arrangements with [redacted] for an appointment to have it installed today. [redacted] by the way, is not at all a pleasant person to work with, but said he would send a confirmation text and of course nothing. So I called before going and spoke to [redacted] "sorry, we don't have one in stock, how about tomorrow?" I explained I was going to lose my mind if it didn't happen today. THANKFULLY, and unlike "Sales Manager " [redacted] did call me back and I'm suppose to get it this afternoon. We'll see.. This has been, without a doubt, the absolute worst buying experience (in my 40 years of car buying) I have ever had.

I am meeting with the COO this coming Thursday to come up with the final decision. I am still not satisfied with the offers they came up with. I consider myself that I lost $10.000 and that the sales person and the store manager at that time lied and cheated me when they explained things.
I have to read all the papers Hyundai are talking about because I am not aware about them all
Thanks

Mr [redacted] has been to the dealership 2 times since the last update. The first time was 4/11/2015. His current lease vehicle was expiring and I had him meet with [redacted] the General Manager at the Hyundai store. We presented three options for Mr. [redacted] at a discounted price. He declined those offers. In the interim, Mr [redacted] suggested that he was advised not to return his lease vehicle yet. I informed him that should he decided not to return the vehicle, he was doing so at his own risk. Mr [redacted] came back to meet with me 4/17/2015. He finally stated his demand of Grossinger Hyundai returning his down payment on his expired lease vehicle and for Grossinger to pay lease extension costs and penalties. His purchase request when he leased the vehicle originanally was a $215 dollar a month payment, which he accomplished with $10,000 down to reduce his capitalized cost. Which was noted and contains his signature. Without his cash down reduction, his payment would have been considerably higher. In our view his request is not reasonable however we are doing our diligence on his request. I reviewed all the documents signed by Mr.[redacted] at delivery ( April 17,2015) with him and found the documentation not consistent with his claims but, very consistent to his payment specifications. He also contested the contract format, which is a state approved contract for Hyundai[redacted]. We expect to provide a response to his request this week. In our view his request is not reasonable, however, we are doing our diligence on his request in an effort to satisfy Mr.[redacted] reasonably.

After talking to the dealership over the course of 5 days, and repeatedly confirming the advertised, online "special" price of a new 2017 [redacted] for $13,500 that I intended to buy with my 80 year old mother, I took the day off of work to buy the car. After the test drive, instead of charging the online listed price of $13,500 -- they said that my mother didn't qualify for the promotions, so the price was now over $6,000 more -- out the door. Despite showing the salesperson the online ad that indicated the price of $13,500 was EXCLUSIVE of other offers, discounts and promotions which may ALSO be available, he got his "manager" to try to close the deal at the higher price. We walked out. It was shameless, it was fraudulent, and I warn everyone to stay FAR away from that dealership. The place is corrupt, fails to abide by its own online pricing, and attempted to cheat an 80 year old woman, with cash, to try to make more money.

After very careful inspection of the receipt, I can see that it was maliciously defaced in such a way as to deliberately obscure the return policy which you describe. I think I prefer to simply make my new car purchase (and future parts purchases for that matter) at one of your competitors and inform as much of the public as possible precisely how you choose to do business.

Dear [redacted],
I am willing to return the merchandise and I am willing to accept a check as a refund, but that refund check must be available to me at the time I return the merchandise and not some "7-10 days in the future sometime". As Grossinger Hyundai expected payment for the merchandise when it was provided, so do I expect return of payment when the merchandise is returned. Is this acceptable for Grossinger Hyundai? If so, please describe exactly how the return/refund would take place.
Thank You,
