Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: greg and ground up home solutions is telling a liePlease ask greg and ground up to forward to the Revdex.com any email with an attachment showing where they sent me any plans for my property, even preliminary for me to review and if they filed the plans with the District of Columbia permitting office (DCRA) All the details are online at the DCRA site, please go to *** and search ***You will see that the site does not have any record of gregs/ground up (attached as well)The only thing ground up did was file for an alteration permit but they did not even begin demolition on my propertyFurthermore DCRA (DC building permits office) has no problem with my project and I have emails from the processor (*** ***) at the permitting office saying that everything is fine the way I wanted to move forwardgreg/ground up is only indicating that they are incapable of completing my project and had no intention to do so.
greg has been very difficult to reach, I could not reach him by phone, email and text for weeks I had a long conversation Aug, with greg after not being able to reach him for weeksWe said we would respect each other and communicate twice a week by email and he would move faster. The only time when they were quick to respond was when they wanted to get money from me as shown in attached (Aug-06-2015, note the response within hours), his secretary anisha white was very difficult to reach as well and came up with all sorts of excuses to not communicate with me as noted in the following,
"Subject: Update
From: "Greg S***"
Date: Wed, September 23, 2:pm
To: contact@***.com
Priority: Status: answered
Hello ***,
We are going out o site with a new architect on Friday, they had some questions that we need to resolveWe are no longer working with the architect due to the fact it did not work with your wishesPlus he was to slow, we found a better architect and Greg said to let you know that he would contact you on Friday, and have something to youI apologize I dropped my phone in water and I won't have another till tomorrow, so if you have been trying to reach me that way I'm sorry."
I do not understand why she could not email me back if her phone was damagedI sent an email after giving her a call, the only reason she responded was because of the email I sent (attached: email email-trial-sept-23-2015-A).
gregs/ground up has had an enormous amount of time to start my project (since April 30, when we signed an agreement) to start my projectI have waited months because of so many excuses they gave, like his crew not being ready and him being out of town or greg just not answering calls for weeks which I have record of my attempts to reach himI tried all I could to get them to start and to being waiting since April 30, is being very patientGround up statement contradicts their emailsHow could they be looking for a new architect to begin the work as noted in the email attached dated September 23, and and then send me an invoice yesterday dated 07/31/2015 (which is the first I am seeing of this and they only sent it because I filed a Revdex.com complaint against them)I do not owe ground up anything but greg and ground up owes me my deposit of $7,The original architectural plans I wanted them to finish and to address DCRA requests did not cost $7,so this is my deposit as part of $68,to get my permits and build my additionRegards,

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
As I stated before, I would like Ground Up
Home Solutions to reimburse me so that I may have another contractor correct
all of the deficiencies, poor craftsmanship and complete the work. I will
obtain estimates so that a determination can be made for the exact reimbursement
amount.
My experience with Ground Up Home Solutions' labor crews
has not been good. It is inconceivable that the same labor crews that
originally did the work could now correct the deficiencies and provide a quality
product in two business days. The poor craftsmanship and lack
of professionalism that I have had to endure with Ground
Up Home Solutions with this project is indicative of the fact that they lack
the knowledgeable tradesmen required to correct all the deficiencies and
produce a quality finished product.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
1. Reference MrS*** comments, “*** *** is one of those
customers that sit on top of the workers as they are doing the work.” On many
occasions I left my home open so that the workers could enter and exit to work
while I was not present. I did not sit
on top of the workers as I had things to do in and outside of my home that
occupied much of my time.
Reference MrS*** comments, “What should have been a
month installation took months due to her trying to make onsite changes to
satisfy her every whim based on things that she saw on DIY TV or read about.” There were no major changes made by me that
would have extended the job for the many months I have had to endureThere
were some minor verbal changes made early in December that are described in
attachment. The individuals working at
my house were also working on other projects in different locations. There were days when the workers left my
house after a couple of hours to go to other locations to work. Also there were days when no one called or
showed up to work at my houseThis happened frequently and added to the length
of time needed to complete the work at my houseFurther, it would seem if major
changes affecting the completion date were made by me, MrS*** would have
sit down with me and made written changes to the contract and discussed cost increases
associated with the changes as well. Furthermore,
I have never discussed with MrS*** what I watch on TV nor what I read. He must be confusing me with another one of
his customers.
Reference MrS*** comments, “This video below shows the
amazing work that we did for *** ***.”
I have not seen the video MrS*** is referring to; however, I do have
pictures of the finished product that in no way looks amazing. The
pictures I have provided reflect poor craftsmanship and lack of attention to
detail
Reference MrS*** comments, “We have enclosed the list of
things that we agreed to do for *** ***.”
The list submitted by MrS***, dated March 2014, is incomplete
because it does not address all of the work needed to be done at that time in
order to complete the project. At that
time the shower was not completed; therefore, I was not aware of the problems I
would have with the showerOn March
2014, MrS*** told me the work would be complete in a couple of weeks. To date we are still trying to smooth the
walls, paint, correct shower issues and other deficiencies
Reference MrS*** comments, “She is currently being a bit
rude as to where she is hanging up the phone on us and yells and curses.” . I do
not know who “us” is. MrS*** called
me after he got this complaint. I have
only had one conversation with MrS*** since filing this complaint in which
we were both agitated. I am frustrated because I feel I have been
taken advantage of. I am very
dissatisfied about the lack of attention to detail, poor craftsmanship, and
length of time it has taken without completion. Additionally, the cost of the project is astronomical
compared to the quality of the product that I have received
Reference MrS*** comments, “*** *** is having a
rough time where she is taking care of an ill parent, involved in a lawsuit
with her sister and just lost the love of her life.” I consider it quite inappropriate for Mr
S*** to attack my character as a reason for the poor craftsmanship on this
jobMy personal life does not have
anything to do with the poor quality of work that he provided me7. Reference MrS*** comments, “Due to our patience,
tolerance and good will for everyone, we will extend to *** *** 20% off
her next contracted job with us.” I am not aware nor am I the recipient of the
patience, tolerance and good will that MrS*** is referring toTherefore, I
cannot address this comment. However, based
on this very bad experience, I will not contract with Ground Up Solutions in
the future.

[redacted] is one of those customers that sit on top of the
workers as they are doing the work. What should have been a 3-day ordering
process took 3 weeks (lots of indecision and last minute changes). What should
have been a 1-month installation took 2.5 months due to her trying to make
onsite changes to satisfy her every whim based on things that she saw on DIY TV
or read about. This video below shows the amazing work that we did for [redacted].
We have also enclosed the list of things that we agreed to do for [redacted].
She is currently being a bit rude as to where she is hanging up the phone on us
and yells and curses. [redacted] is having a rough time where she is taking
care of an ill parent, involved in a lawsuit with her sister and just lost the
love of her life. Due to our patience, tolerance and good will for everyone, we
will extend to [redacted] 20% off of her next contracted job with us.

The [redacted] family has been contacted by GUHS. The customer had a billing dispute that has been amenably handled. To date, the customer has paid their total contract off.

We have been in communication with [redacted] and are servicing the issues that he has. Thanks

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted]I  did not ask for a four inch ramp.  The job was not done professionally and that's why they painted over the floor and half of the walls.
When I drove over the painted floor the very first time (after waiting a few days to make sure that the paint dried), the tires stripped the paint off.  Although they said someone was going to come on a Saturday to look at it, nobody showed up.
The not showing up when an appointment was made happened a few times with this company.
I recall being told that the paint job was good for 5 years.
A contractor who looked at the job said that indoor paint was used on the walls and floor.  He also said it appeared that the painting of the walls damaged something that effects the door from going up and down.
I don't want 10% off from a future job from a company that treated me disrespectfully by telling me that they'd show up and then not showing up.
Regards,[redacted]

The one thing I can say about this company is the attention to detail. They were hired to come in and replace a roof and tiling in my mothers home. The owner took the time to sit down with us and go over all the options that would make our home shine. On staff they have a personal design consultant who met with us and helped pick out the beautiful tile in our home. I would recommend this company to any of my family and friends who are looking for home improvement services.

Good Morning,
[redacted] hired us to at first work on his drawings and get them permitted. The drawings he had would not pass DCRA review and he was given the option  to wait on an appeal hearing.  [redacted] chose to have his drawings redone and worked on in...

September,  these types of modifications take time and he was very impatient.   The only reason he chose to cancel his contract was because we would not cut corners regarding getting his permit.  [redacted] actually owes us money, and it is very convent that as soon as we sent him this invoice he makes a complaint.  Invoice was sent to him at 8:45am.
Please see attached.

I do not have documentation that actually state the doors were to be custom made that was discussed verbally.  Thanks much

I expressed my feelings and I am firm in my statement.Response to letter from Groundup Solutions: The original crew chief (Mr. Scott T[redacted]) came by when I RECEIVED the rubber belt (gorment, Nov 9, 2014)) from the manufactory arrived at my house after I notified of its arrival. I am not satisfied with the manner in which the incident was handled. The Owner of the company showed no interest in the matter for over two and half weeks. There is no excuse for his displayed conduct. I am owed more than what I have received from this company. No one else should ever have to be subjected to this form of disrespect and harassment from his company. This is not the last time this is going to happen if something is not done to correct his approach to this type situation. This incident should always be a reminder of what can happen the next time it happens. An apology has never crossed his mind. I am thoroughly disappointed in his approach and displayed lack of concern in this incident.
Thank you and be Blessed Always,[redacted]
