Review: On 7/31/11, my husband [redacted] and I purchased the services of Groupwise to buy our 2 timeshares. The first timeshare, [redacted] Smoky Mountain at Govenor's Crossing was sold on 11/11/11. The second timeshare, [redacted] in Myrtle Beach was sold on 6/18/12. The understanding was that we would pay the monthly maintenance fees until 10/31/11.We did just that, but continued to get the bills from Wyndham. We contacted them via USP with letter and amount to be reimbursed attached, and even contacted them by phone. We have not been reimbursed from what they owe us,and they obviously have not completed the transfer of the [redacted] property because we keep getting harrassing phone calls from Wyndham. Your help in this matter would greatly be appreciated before we may have to take legal action. We are greatly concerned that [redacted] will report us to the credit bureau due to Groupwise's incompetency.Desired Settlement: They boast about quality customer service, but we have been greatly disappointed in what GroupWise thinks is reputable service. Teaming with this company has been a frightening experience.

Response:

With regards to the letter we received dated September 5, 2013, Mrs. [redacted] states in her

complaint that we have failed to complete the transfer of her [redacted] Timeshare

Property, that statement is incorrect.

GroupWise, Inc. has submitted a recorded deed (to follow) and all necessary fees to complete the

transfer to [redacted] Vacation Resorts. These documents and fees were submitted to Wyndham

in September of 2012. The recorded deed shows that Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] sold their timeshare

to [redacted] and [redacted], GroupWise has fulfilled all obligations under our contract with regards

to the transfer of the [redacted]d’s Timeshare,

Please remove this complaint from our company record as we believe that this complaint has no

merit.

Response:

For one, GroupWise does not even recognize how to spell my last name correctly, which is only the beginning of their incompetence. To further support our allegations, I will send all our documentations that show the facts of our complaint. We look forward to hearing from you with a response.

Response:

With regards to the letter we received dated October 23, 2013, GroupWise, Inc. considers this

case resolved.

We have been in contact with the [redacted]’s and expressed to them that we have completed our

end of the contract. We have asked them to forward [redacted] a certified letter with the recorded

deed enclosed and the latest maintenance fee statement that they have received and request that

they ([redacted]) update theft records, as they are billing the [redacted] in error. The deed of

public record transferring the ownership from the [redacted] to [redacted] and [redacted] has been

recorded since August 24th, 2012.

We have also advised the [redacted] that we will also forward the recorded deed to [redacted]

via certified, which as mailed on November Vt, 2013, requesting again, that they complete the

transfer and stop billing the [redacted] for maintenance fees that they are clearly not responsible

for.

Please remove this complaint from our company record as we believe that this complaint has no

merit.

Response:

The first and only contact that we have received from Groupwise since this complaint started was from the owner of the company, [redacted]. He called us from his personal cell phone # ###-###-#### last week to tell us that he would look into the complaint. He obviously had his office manager send this report of what they were going to do to appease us. This is still not finished in our eyes because the company still owes us money for the maintenance fees that we paid [redacted] when it was rightly out of our ownership. [redacted], Groupwise's office manager, told me per our phone conversation to send her the amounts that we had paid and she would send us a check. As I have already submitted via fax to you a copy of that letter that I sent Ms. [redacted] in December 2012. So needless to say, Groupwise has not completely fulfilled their contract with us. I will be sending by fax tomorrow the copy of our checking statements that verify the exact amounts that were debited from our account. The exact amount that is due us is $248.72. Again, thank you in your efforts to resolve this situation. Sincerely, [redacted]

Business

Response:

November 16, 2013

With regards to the letter we received dated November 4, 2013;

The $248.72 in

questions was collected by [redacted] through an auto withdrawal arrangement

that the [redacted]’s had with Wyndham, Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] failed to Contact [redacted] to

have the auto withdrawal of their Maintenance Fees stopped. GroupWise, Inc. would then make

arrangements to

have the billing forwarded to the responsible party. The monies that the

[redacted]’s are requesting reimbursement for was collected by [redacted] and therefore the

[redacted]’s have been seeking reimbursement from the wrong entity.

Recently we were able to verify that the $248.72 was applied to the [redacted]’s account and

therefore, GroupWise, Inc. will reimburse the funds to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted].

Considering that GroupWise, inc. is not at fault, we request that this complaint be removed from

our company’s record.

Review: I was contacted by Groupwise last month and told to bring my timeshare ownership contract to a meeting today so that they could make an offer to buy it. I followed all instructions and upon arriving at the meeting I was told that they were not intending to purchase any timeshare properties; but only interested in selling properties to the attendees. Not only was I intentionally misled; I invested considerable time and money to respond to Groupwise's false solicitation.Desired Settlement: I want Groupwise to compensate me for my expenses ($156.00) and time (4 hours at $200 per hour) wasted in responding to their false solicitation. In addition, I would ask that the Revdex.com formally pose negative sanctions against Groupwise and its officers.

Response:

Mr. [redacted].

I would like to update the record [redacted] to reflect my understanding after a conversation with Groupwise. I was contacted by Steve [redacted] of Groupwise earlier today. We spoke for approximately 20 minutes. Mr. [redacted] clearly is concerned that I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com, and he expressed concern that Groupwise (which while not a Revdex.com member currently has an “A-“ rating by the Revdex.com) would “receive bad publicity” because I created the complaint record. Mr. [redacted] also projected personal accountability for the performance of his organization and acted as if he wanted our problem to be resolved, or to correct any misunderstanding on our part. His position is that I misinterpreted what I was told by “Joni” who contacted us on August 19 and convinced us to take the time to gather all of our contract and maintenance fees paperwork on two timeshare properties that we own, and travel to attend the meeting. As for what happened at the meeting, he had not yet followed up with his staff that were there last Sunday.

Mr. [redacted] said that he listened to the recording of Joni’s call to me. I do not have the recording, but I remember clearly that she started the conversation asking whether we were interested in selling or ending our ownership of the Costa Sur property (Playa del Sol Grande in Nuervo Vallarta, Mexico). When she received my verbal commitment to attend last Sunday’s meeting (3 pm at the Homewood Suites in Lancaster, PA), she did clearly say that we should bring documents describing the timeshare property (e.g., contract, maintenance fees invoice). I received a call from Groupwise last Friday, confirming that we were attending the meeting – No additional information about the meeting was provided during that call.

When we arrived at the Homewood Suites in Lancaster, PA on Sunday, September 8, I did not see any representatives of Groupwise, or any posted information on where the meeting was being held. I checked in at the front desk, and was told that we should take a seat in the lobby and “they would come out to meet us.” At approximately 3:15 pm, when we were still waiting for someone from Groupwise, I asked the Homewood Suites receptionist which room the meeting was being held. I went to the room and waited at the door, observing the meeting, then asked a Groupwise representative about reviewing the paperwork that we were instructed to bring (I do not have his name). He acted surprised and annoyed by my inquiry, saying something to the effect that he did not know what I was talking about; and that they were not interested in seeing the paperwork that we brought and that they would be finishing their “presentation” shortly. This was very frustrating to us and we believe that we were given misleading information to convince to attend the meeting.

Mr. [redacted] described that the purpose and intent of the meeting last Sunday was to give timeshare owners information that could help them “get out of” timeshare contracts. He did not comment on why the paperwork that Groupwise asked us to bring to the meeting was not reviewed with us. But he did briefly describe what his organization does to help timeshare property owners, and he did indicate that Groupwise could follow up with us to look at options for the Costa Sur property and the Diamond Resorts Hawaii property. He implied that contracts for each of those two properties are relatively difficult to terminate or sell. Then he ended the discussion, leaving me with the impression that we will be contacted for follow up assistance on what we can do with regard to these properties (no specific actions or dates/times were discussed; presumably because he did not have time to do that today).

Based on the discussion I had with Mr. [redacted], I went to the complaint record #[redacted] with the intent to update the information I had entered during the trip back from last Sunday’s meeting. I would make changes to the problem description and desired outcome. If there is follow up by Groupwise and we do actually have the opportunity to receive guidance and assistance from Groupwise concerning one or both of the aforementioned timeshare property contracts, then I would be satisfied that the problem has been remedied by Groupwise. And I do feel that Mr. [redacted] will take steps to reduce the likelihood that other timeshare owners who are contacted by his organization do not have a similar experience. He commented that he is aware that timeshare property owners who are contacted by his company are “anxious” to get rid of their timeshare property, and sometimes have the wrong expectation about the purpose of the meeting.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

One of the biggest liars and scammers in the business...and there are many. They tell you that they will take your timeshare from you if you are willing to pay the closing costs....Then they proceed to tell you that the closing costs for transferring a Timeshare are between 2995.00-4995.00 depending on your yearly maintenance fees. If you offer to transfer the Timeshare yourself using your own choice of title company they refuse. They say you must use theirs...and the reason is their charge for doing the transfer is THOUSANDS more than the real cost. I know this as I am a professional Realtor and have access to numerous title companies. The bottom line is they tell you they can get you out of your timeshare to get you there...and then try to get you to pay them Thousands of dollars so you can Give them your timeshare

+1

Dealing with Groupwise was a real good experience as they helped us get out of a bad deal with Bluegreen Timeshares. If it was not for Groupwise we would still be stuck in the raw deal we got from Bluegreen. I must say I thank Groupwise very much for what they did.

I have always found the staff to be courteous and helpful. I have rented several times with Groupwise, and I intend to do so in the future.

Office Manager, [redacted], is a quality person.

Review: Company called to invite my wife and myself to a meeting to help us get rid of our timeshare. They told us that there would NOT be a cost involved. Following a lengthy meeting, we were told that we would have to pay $5950.00 for taking our timeshare from us. The company made us feel like is for buying a timeshare and even worse by being Deceitful with the exorbitant amount they wanted to charge us after we were told there would not be a cost. This is even worse than when we paid about $700 to a company to sell our timeshare and they disappeared.Desired Settlement: An apology would be good for starters for getting us to waste 3 hours of our time, gas to get to the meeting and being deceitful.

Mr. [redacted],

With regards to the letter we received dated August 13th, 2013, I would like to let you know that one of our independent consultants spoke with Mr. [redacted] on August 8th and apologized to him and his wife for any inconvenience that attending our meeting may have caused them. The conversation turned out to be a lengthy one and ended with Mr. [redacted] acknowledging that he understood our business strategy and was he thanked our consultant for calling. Please remove this complaint from our company record as we have done as Mr. [redacted] requested. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter and if you need any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the number below.

GroupWise, Inc

Review: I contracted with Group Wise Inc. to transfer a timeshare out of our names in August 10, 2014. Since that time the maintenance fees have became due. The contract states that Group Wise will be solely responsible for all fees and assessments required to achieve the transfer of ownership. The timeshare company, [redacted] Resorts have sent me several maintenance fee statements and late fees. Group Wise Inc. have not paid these fees, nor will they return my phone calls. Group Wise have been telling me that [redacted] Resort wanted to excise their first right of refusal option to purchase the property back, however when I contacted [redacted] they told me that they don't have a buy back program and to transfer the timeshare out of our names we simply need to do a warranty deed. I feel we have paid Group Wise Inc. $[redacted].00 for nothing.Desired Settlement: Group Wise refund to us most of the $[redacted].00, that we paid for a service that we did not get.

April 21, 2015 . Revdex.com of Western Pennsylvania 400 Holiday Drive, Suite 220 Pittsburgh, PA 15220 RE: [redacted] Dear Miss [redacted], We are in the process of servicing Mr. [redacted]’ contract and have already paid his maintenance fees. _ His resort did exercise their right of first refusal. We have mailed documentation confirming this to Mr. [redacted] and have included it with this response. We apologize for any inconvenience, but sometimes the resorts can move slowly during the transfer process. Our clients are never responsible for maintenance fees once they sign our service agreement. Cordially, [redacted]Co-OwnerGroupwise, Inc.

I can't even tell you how amazing this company is. I have purchased 3 time shares with this company and I am on a first name basis with the owner. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that both sellers and buyers are comfortable with the sale. It is so rare to see such personal customer service in a business transaction. I am elated and can't wait to use my new properties (that I am passing on to my children) in [redacted]! Thanks Andy!

Review: Groupwise and I entered an agreement to buy our condo in Orange Lake, FL and paid them money as agreed in Oct 2014

After we signed the deed to them and it was mailed to the title transfer co, Orange Lake said no sale as they took the right to first refusal on December 29. In that letter the Title Co said we would receive information from ( I assume Groupwise). At the end of Jan 2015 I called Groupwise and left a message with name and telephone number. Called Jan 28, Jan 29, Jan 30,Feb 4, Feb 5, Feb 6, and Feb 9. Their telephone answering machines said if call before noon, they will call back that afternoon. If the call is the afternoon, they will call back the next morning. I called a Rhonda, and a Jodi SSnyder Office Asst.

No response at all. They were to pay the maintence fee as agreed but they did not. ($140) I will have to pay it with a penalty as the payment date is passed. My complaint is nobody answers a phone call or returns the call.Desired Settlement: We need to know what the result of owner first refusal does since Groupwise is not buying the condo. Some part of my payment should be returned. They should answer their phone calls!!

To complicate the situation, Orange Lake contact is no longer employed there so they are to contact me since we are still the legal owners.

Review: On March 12,2012 my wife Janis and I sold our timeshare week at [redacted], AZ to GroupWise, Inc. We paid them $4,600 to handle this sale. GroupWise, Inc then sold our timeshare at [redacted] to [redacted]. attempted to transfer our timeshare at [redacted] to Mr. [redacted] refused to transfer the title to Mr. [redacted] because he had too many outstanding debts. [redacted] notified GroupWise and turned it back to GroupWise.

We are in the process of servicing Mr. [redacted]’s contract and have already paid his maintenance

This company is total rip off......They called and called and I finally spoke with them in depth....They PROMISED me they were not going to offer to take my timeshares off my hands IF I PAID THEM money to do so......I repeated this over and over on the phone that I DID NOT wish to speak with them if this is the program they were offering....AGAIN both salesperson on phone and their supervisor who confirms info ASSURED me this was not the case. I had to drive into another state to visit with them and WHEN I ARRIVED they handed me a form with soooooooo many questions that I said I would fill it out as long as it wasn't to take over my deeds (which I had to bring or they would speak with me) and I would hand over money to take them over.....JC said that's exactly what it was and I let him know how upset I was that I drove all that way for THIS??????????

Mr. [redacted] signed a service agreement with GroupWise, Inc. on October 23, 2014 to transfer

ownership of the timeshare. At that time, GroupWise, Inc. agreed to take over all future financial

obligations with regards to the timeshare.

Mr. [redacted] elected to cancel his contract as allowed per the three day right of rescission.

We cancelled his contact as he requested and attempted to refund the fee back onto his credit

card. Mr. [redacted] did not inform us that the credit card which be used. with Groupwise Inc. was

cancelled and that he was waiting for a replacement card. We attempted to refund the money but

that credit card was no longer active and therefore we could not do it until he gave us a valid.

credit card number. When he gave us the new credit card number the refund was immediately

processed.

I have spoken to Mr. [redacted] personally and be understands what happened and [redacted] promised to

send a letter, which I will include, verifying this.

They were very easy to deal with and allowed us to get rid of a timeshare that we could no longer use.
