To respond to this complaint Mr. [redacted] was not told the car was completed but insisted on picking it up anyway as the car was running and driving. Our normal policy is to put about 100 miles on a vehicle before...

delivering it to avoid as many issues as possible however we weren't afforded this opportunity. The amount of time it took to build this car was based on two things the first being the incremental payments weren't paid as agreed as Mr. [redacted] explained to me at the time his business had very slow due to the economy. He initially gave me a 5K deposit which was enough to cover the engine but next payments were few and far between but in good faith we continued and tore the car down. Then we did a landscape trade which has turned out to be a really bad deal for me as I've it could have been done for about half the price and now I'm having to redo it.We are willing to finish the items that weren't done and or that he is having issues with. Then there is the seat belt concern, this car did not come with seat belts nor is required by law to be retro fitted, seat belts weren't mandatory until 1963 and then only in the front. He talks about trust the day he picked the car up he said he would bring it back for us to finish but obviously not.I will refund his money for the car cover and as for the other concerns such as A/C hoses he was well aware of all it when he picked up the vehicle.
Thanks

Review: GT Motorsports collected over $56,000.00 for renovation of my 56'Mercury Monterey and delivered a substandard vehicle. When confronted, [redacted] admitted that there are several problems and made a due bill and promised to help however I cannot trust him with the car. He allowed delivery of the car as completed and it is not safe to drive (no seat belts of any kind) and the doors don't close. There is no parking brake cable etc.. [redacted] Cope collected additional money $339.82 for a car cover that he was to order additional form the renovation price. He did not deliver the cover and refuses to refund me the money. The function of the vehicle is not completed at all and he cannot be trusted. Doors don't close, stereo system does not work, power locks, power windows don't work. A/C hoses are not hooked up thus A/C does not work. Many other issues are not functioning and he collected the money and released the car after having it for 3 years and 8 months. He cannot be trusted.Desired Settlement: Gt Motorspors-[redacted] needs to reimburse my money for the cover he did not deliver. Gt Motorsports needs to pay for the work he did not complete. I will not give him the car back because he is disingenuous and cannot be trusted. He is playing games with consumers such as myself and his is unethical in his business.
