I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolvedThough I would like to point out that the response written via the Revdex.com website and that sent to me in my personal email vary slightly In the response on the Revdex.com website the company does not make the same statement that was made in the email sent directly to me and that is "We did an investigation on your tolls, and the chargesappear to be (B)false(B)" The word "false" is bold in the email Somehow, the response for your website left off the part "...and the charges appear to be false." I want to make it clear that this dispute wasn't settled just to quiet me down, it was settled because they falsely charged my card for going through a toll I never went through

Dear *** ***, In response to your letter regarding Customer Experience ID ***, Highway Toll Administration followed the standard policy and procedures as laid out in the rental agreement the customer signed at the time of renting the vehicle We are a company that provides
electronic toll collection services to the rental customers, which offer a fast and convenient way of paying for tolls by utilizing an in-vehicle transponder device or license plate imaging. Customers are provided with a rental jacket and other handout materials that explain the service and the daily convenience fee of $3.95/rental day up to a maximum of $19.75/rental plus the toll amounts once the service is activated. The service can be activated by driving through an all-electronic toll booth, one that does not accept cash, and the toll is picked up by the transponder installed inside the vehicle or by license plate imaging. Once the service is activated by the customer, the credit card that is utilized to rent the vehicle will be charged (as tolls are reported to us by tolling authority) after the vehicle is returned for the daily convenience fees plus the toll amounts incurred by the renter during his or her rental period We strive to provide excellent service to all of our customers and to that end, all transponders installed inside the vehicles contain a phone number which connects the customer to a live agentThat agent can answer questions about any aspect of the service and also provide itemized receipts for the charges incurred throughout the duration of the rental agreement We have reached out to MrKharbutli and have resolved his inquiry. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is acceptable at this time, though my original complaint that this situation is indicative of unfair and deceptive business practice has not been addressedJust as the business stated that they issued a one time courtesy credit indicates that they feel consumers should just accept the 700% convenience fee, which is not how convenience fees were intended in the first place by Card Brand regulationI did not pay the amount at the time of the call as the business had yet to send the invoiceI would not pay on an amount that I didn't have in writing from the business first, so their reply is misleading and attempts to diminish my original compliantI'm still disappointed and will continue to fight for consumers like myself that are forced to opt into a program where inflated fees are forced upon the consumer without another option being offeredAs I stated to the business on the phone, just because their company language says they do this and have always done this since the program's inception, does not make it fair and acceptable to the public which is forced into paying for it

In response to your letter regarding Customer Experience ID ***, Highway Toll Administration followed the standard policy and procedures as laid out in the rental agreement the customer signed at the time of renting the vehicle. We are a company that has partnered with many Rental
Car Companies to process, present and pay any and all unpaid parking, toll, and/or traffic violations that have a potential of putting our client's entire fleet of vehicles in jeopardy of being booted, towed, and/or impounded. In order to protect renters from having their vehicles towed (even if they are legally parked), we must promptly deal with all unpaid charges. The processing fee varies based on the specific client and violation. The processing fee is automatically charged to the card used to rent the vehicle, in accordance with the terms of the rental agreement. This process includes the research to determine the responsible renter, the mailing and notification of the toll charge to the responsible renter, the mailing and notification of the responsible party information to the issuing agency, customer service support, and the follto ensure that any and all unpaid parking, toll, and/or traffic violations are settled. Our observation has been that majority of the non-toll related violations are generally due to renter’s error due to various reasons and may have limited options available for the renter to exploreHowever, when it comes to tolls the renters are provided with multiple options over the counter when the renter is picking up their rental such as: The renter has the option to avoid toll roads completelyThe renter can use their own transponders (toll tags) in the rental vehicleThe renter can oan all-inclusive option where the renter pays a set amount and all their tolls during the rental are covered.The renter can opt-out and the renter is charged $admin fee per toll plus the toll amounts once the renter goes via a toll and doesn’t pay for the toll. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The business acknowledged that I paid for the daily toll pass which covered tolls during my stay. The business then stated that the tolls were based on pictures of the license plate; and that the transponder didn't record. This appears to be an attempt to charge people multiple times for tolls that were already paid and they offer no proof that the transponder didn't work. Since I paid for atoll pass  I shouldn't owe any charges. If the transponder in the rental car was not working, then they need to work with the rental car company to resolve this issue.These charges are not valid and are not my responsibility.
