[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:If this damage was there prior to this company completing this oil change and recall work, I would expect them to provide the notes taken during their walkaround to indicate that this damage was there prior to them working on the carPlease be sure that if you have this information in their records that it is the one completed during that day and not something that was completed after the complaint was madeIf you are insisting that this was noted that the damage was there this should clearly be stated in the walk around informationThey are providing conflicting stories, because in one discussion Im being told it was done prior to the oil change, and the other saying it must have been done after leaving the compoundI the damage is under the vehicle where that had to lift the car to complete the work, they did not even attempt to check with the technician who completed the work to see if something might have happenedI indicated to them that this issue was not there prior to my car being in their possesion, and at this point its a my word against theresRegards, [redacted]

To Whom it May Concern,After reviewing the complaint with [redacted] the GM of Criswell Chevrolet of Thurmont, we did make make an error in the value of the customers trade and excepted responsibility for the mistakeMrM [redacted] offered to make up the difference to the customer on the vehicle chosen, however the custumer stated it was still too much and left to purchase elsewhereWe are a reputable store that accepts responsiblity for our mistakes, apparently that was not sufficient for the customerKevin S***

This Client came in for a service on 7/29/for a check engine lamp being onKevin M [redacted] was her advisor and Ivan G [redacted] was the technician After the diagnosis the tech determined it needed a transmission valve body and a emission charcoal canisterClient approved estimate and repairs were performedVehicle was picked up 08/06/and paid for in fullThe check engine lamp has not come back on since the repairsAbout weeks later the client returned to the dealership about 5pm in the evening complaining about fluid on her passenger foot well areaWe quickly identified it to be coolant and determined the heater core was leakingI consulted her about the repair and gave her an estimate using service pricing guideI informed her to contact [redacted] North America’s consumer affairs hotline and ask for assistance No repair order was generated because the vehicle never left the service lane and the whole encounter took about minutesIf you look at the vehicle inspection report the coolant level was fine and there were no leaks present when we performed the initial repairI’m not sure why she is stating she did not approve all the initial repairs and had to find the additional funds in her statementThis was never addressed until [redacted] declined assistance with her most recent and unrelated concernThe repair that was performed on 7/29/did not have any effect on the heater core failing and is completely unrelatedAny question please let me know

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I did not approve to get my Evap canister fixed.. I came in to replace my valve body on my car.. I knew I needed to replace the Evap canister but I didn't have funds for that and I told the service tech Kevin that I will tackle that another time.. But he went anyway and approved it on his own. And when I was called to pick up my car he quoted me another price and I said why is his so high, he then told me he repaired my Evap canister when I instructed him not to. So he said well I already fixed it so what I will do is try to play with the numbers to get it down, so yes I did have to put funds in the car that I didn't plan on to because of his mistake. They performed a diagnostics of my car before the work was done. This problem occurred after the work was done.. I never had a complaint about my car overheating something went wrong while replacing my parts back. There are so many reasons why a car can overheat, dry engine, low coolant levels, fans and fans belts faulty thermostat and etc.. None of those problem has been occurring with my car.. My car had enough coolant in it. My coolant was just replaced and I have the work order for that. [redacted] needs to accept their mistake. My car did not have that problem prior to bringing it to get serviced. Regards, [redacted]

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:1) Clutch was not completely worn and had nothing to do with the shifting problem for which the vehicle was brought in It was replaced only because it was "suggested", not because it was necessaryFurthermore, replacement was approved because it was expected the vehicle would be repaired and driveable, which was not the case It make no sense to put in a new clutch if the vehicle does not run.2) The "authorized repair" was ONLY for parts that were needed and would fix the problemObviously, the part they installed was NOT THE CORRECT PART since the vehicle still does not runTherefore, the part was NOT "authorized"Furthermore, as implied in the MrS***'s reply, their policy is to just replace parts until something works...this is NOT acceptable procedureFinally, MrO [redacted] admitted to me by phone that their "diagnostic tool" may be defective, since a new one was ordered.3) I was billed for hours of labor, yet they kept my vehicle for (NINE) months Even though a part was requested from Italy, that was less than one month to come inThey never gave the vehicle the attention it required, and now I STILL have a vehicle that cannot be driven They even made the excuse that they could not fix it because it was an "old " vehicle is too old to fix ?4) They authorized use of a loaner until my vehicle was returned or fixed, then they abruptly repossessed the vehicle as soon as I requested a repair bill to dispute the costs.5) They tried to intimidate me into paying by telling me that I owed over $for the loaner, even the the signed contract had that part redacted.6) Despite the fact that a clutch is useless if the vehicle does not run, I will agree to pay for the new clutch and other work which comes to a total of less than $2000.00, but refuse to pay for any parts or labor associated with the shifter/actuator In the meantime, they refuse to release my vehicle Regards, [redacted]

*** ***s *** was serviced by our certified Master TechnicianAlthough we stand behind the quality of our service we agree that *** ***s vehicle should be test driven and diagnosed if he is now experiencing new/different issuesOur Service Manager offered to schedule the diagnostics and
simply asks that if a new issue is diagnosed that is not directly related to the service performed on *** ***s vehicle on 8/11/the customer will pay the diagnostic feesThis was not acceptable to *** ***Our Service Director spoke with *** *** on 11/4/and has scheduled an appointment to personally test drive the vehicle with *** *** on 11/18/at am

Mr** brought his car to us for replacement of the piston ringsThat work is accomplished by removing the cylinder heads on the top of the engine and also removing the oil pan on the bottom of the engineAt no point in the course of this work was anything done to the axles, in fact they were not touchedUpon completion of the repairs, Mr** picked up his vehicle and called thereafter about vibration and shaking which was caused by a worn front axle| stated in my first letter that an inspection of the vehicle was performed while it was here for the piston ring repair and that nothing was noted regarding the visual inspection of the two axlesThe Critical components of an axle are sealed and cannot be seen without disassemblyWe, at Criswell, recognized that the timing of the left axle failure was an unfortunate coincidence and, as a goodwill gesture, we replaced the left axle at no charge for labor, and a 20% reduction in the cost of the parts| regret this situation but reiterate that the work we originally performed on the engine was unrelated to the axle failureOur offer to provide the same assistance on the right axle, should it fail, remains in effectWe do not wish to provide any further assistance, relative to the left axle repair, to Mr**.Respectfully,Mark S***

We have already purchased a new truckSo I do not wish to make a deal with this dealership anymoreI do not feel that a place like this deserves any of my businessHowever I do feel that they should have to pay me something for the trip I made down there and my wasted time and gasI do not feel that it is right that they can lie to get you down there like that then just be able to walk away with no repercussions what so ever.Let me know if there is anything else I need to doThank you*** ***

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Criswell NEVER explained this was their policy, I stated I absolutely did not want a loan taken out, and had they asked me for another form of payment I would have provided one, however they applied for the loans first which I specifically asked them not to do, and they did not tell me they had done so, I was completely unaware until I recieved the decline letter in the mailAdditionally, they applied for at least loans which I find completely excessive, and the date for one of the applications was May 6th, after I had left the dealership and agreed to supply another form of payment

From: *** *.Date: Wed, Mar 23, at 3:PMSubject: Thank you for your help! Complaint ID ***To: "***@myRevdex.com.org" Hello *** ***,The check from Criswell Chevrolet arrived today thanks to you

I am Writing in response to your letter of November 15, 2017, regarding the Revdex.com complaint filed by Mr*** **.While I understand the frustration felt by Mr**, I have reviewed the service file on the subject vehicle and have determined the following:While Mr**'s vehicle was in for an engine
repair covered by a *** warranty extension, our technician observed several other items needing attention or repairMr** agreed to those repairs and they were correctedThe technician did not observe any issue with the left front axle and no action was taken regarding the axleThe axle was quite worn and caused the vibration and accompanying noise that Mr** referenced in his complaintMr** lives somewhat far from the dealership, so the resulting towing charge was over $We, at Criswell, acknowledged the inconvenience and expense that Mr** incurred and, as a goodwill gesture, agreed to replace the worn, left front axle at no charge for labor and parts price reduced by 20%.While we will be unable to contribute any additional goodwill, we are willing to provide the same assistance on the right axle if it is determined that it requires replacement.I am hopeful that this explanation of the facts of the matter clear up any misunderstanding of our position.Respectfully;Mark S*General Manager Criswell ***
