Review: I purchased a dining room set from Hamilton Enterprises in Chalmette, La on June 28, 2014. The sales lady [redacted] informed me that the set would take a few months to arrive but that I would definitely have it before Thanksgiving. I patiently waited for my furniture periodically checking as November grew closer. The week before Thanksgiving my husband went to the store and was informed that the order was in route and packed on a truck. We did not receive a delivery. We both went to Hamilton Enterprise the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and canceled the order. I was told that a credit would be given to my account and that it needed to be mailed in so it would take two weeks. More than three weeks later no credit has been issued. I am extremely disappointed in the service that I have received from this company. Their professionalism is inept and I dont understand how you can run a business by telling lies to your customers.Desired Settlement: I would like for Hamilton Enterprise Imports, Inc. to credit my account with Synchrony Bank for my full purchase price so that my account will reflect a full refund.

Review: On September 30, 2015 I entered into a contract with Hamilton Enterprises to purchase furniture totaling $8106.25. On that day I paid $2000.00 toward the total cost. At that time L[redacted] stated the furniture would be ordered the following day and received to your warehouse within a 6-week timeframe and it was permissible to make payments towards the balance. This timeline worked well because I was purchasing a home with an estimated closing date of 6 Nov 15. I made payments on the furniture through November 2, 2015. It was during this time I was notified that my closing date was being pushed back about a month. I spoke to [redacted] and she said that was good because the furniture had not come in. I asked if there were any issues with receiving my furniture by my closing date and she said no. On November 5, 2015 I purchased a mailbox in full for $294.80. On November 11, 2015 I entered into a contract to purchase of a 7-piece kitchenette set, swivel recliner, dresser mirror and (2) nightstands totaling $1520.63. Lisa stated that because I had purchased so much furniture with them already that no money needed to be paid at that time. I inquired again about the furniture and was told some items were on back order but everything would here when I moved into my home. I continued to inquire about the status of the furniture throughout the month of November each time being told the furniture had not arrived yet. After Thanksgiving I notified Lisa that I would be going to closing on December 2, 2015 and asked if the furniture had arrived. She said no, but it should be here. On December 3, 2015 I paid the original order (placed on September 30, 2015) in full and notified [redacted] that I would be moving into my home on December 7, 2015. I asked if the furniture was in and she said no but reassured me that it would be here by the time I moved in. I moved into my home on December 7, 2015 without all of my furniture/appliances. They provided loaner appliances that are nowhere near the standard of what I purchased. However, having no refrigerator or washer/dryer I was put in a position to accept those with the understanding that what was ordered would be delivered reasonably soon. The following week after the move-in they delivered the 7-piece kitchenette set and sectional sofa. The week after that (on or about December 15, 2015) they delivered the bedroom set and (1) nightstand. A week later they delivered the other nightstand, bench and the captain’s bed. [redacted] reassured me that I would have the remainder of my order delivered before Christmas and this did not happen. I spoke with [redacted] on Christmas Eve and she stated the furniture would be delivered on Monday after Christmas; this also did not happen. We have spoken on several occasions where she has stated the following:

December 29 - Furniture is on back order and awaiting arrival. Washer and dryer were received but sold.

December 31 - Everything will be in by the end of the week.

January 7 - I spoke to your husband, [redacted] and told him that I wanted to pursue getting my money back for the furniture I've paid for and haven't received. He stated the furniture would be here soon and to give it about another week.

January 9 - I spoke with you and you explained that the furniture would be here soon.

On February 5, 2016 Lisa explained that she would try to get everything here and delivered by Monday February 9, 2016. I tried to make contact the entire week of February 9th by leaving messages with an employee Theresa and texting Lisa directly. On Friday, February 12, 2016 I went into the business to speak with Lisa. I let David Hamilton know that I was tired waiting for the furniture and wanted to get a refund on the items not yet received. He said I needed to talk to Lisa and there was nothing he could do. I spoke with Lisa on Saturday February 13, 2016 and told her that I wanted a refund because I have grown tired of waiting and at this point I don’t think I will ever receive what I have paid for. I spoke with her again on February 16, 2016 where she stated she was out of town. I called again on February 18, 2016 where she said she had to babysit but that she was on her way to the office and would call me. On February 19, 2016 I sent a demand letter requesting my refund.

On March 2, 2016 it appeared that she processed the refund in the amount of $5075.22. However as of March 10, 2016 I still have not received the funds in my bank account. My financial institution is involved and has informed them via letter that there has been no transaction in that amount credited to my account.Desired Settlement: I would like Hamilton Enterprises to process the refund and have the funds returned to my account in the total of $5075.22.

Review: I purchased 2 sofas and 2 chairs from this company 3 1/2 months ago. After about a month I started calling. Was told that my order was held up on thewestcoast due to striking issue. Weeks later I was told that it was enroute but they were unable to advise how long it would take. I called almost daily. I advised that I would be coming to get a refund and was told it should be arriving any day. Eventually I was told that the chairs had been out of stock and they had to order the items separate so the sofas could be sent. The orders were now suppose to be coming from Texas and Florida. When I again said I needed a refund I was told it was a special order. (I ordered from a book as everyone else does). I received a call on Monday May 18th to set up delivery.( They advised that were in the process of Scotch guardng the sofas and delivery was set up for Tuesday May 26th. When they arrived they were will in the original shipping packaging( No Scotch guard had taken place). I contacted them again on June 1st concerning the chairs and was told that they were in and someone would contact me to schedule an appointment for delivery. On June 8th I was told the chairs had not arrived and they did not know when they would arrive.Desired Settlement: Refund for the chairs

Review: I ordered a bedroom set July of 2013. I was advised it can take up to eight weeks, ten weeks later I still haven't received my order. I informed [redacted] (part owner) and [redacted] employee that I wanted a refund. I was told they do not issue refunds,I explained that it was not documented nor was it verbally told me that there will be no refined. I explain that Iam not requesting a refund due to my lack a payment for my lack of inability to pay it but, due to the fact that it had taken for longer then 5 months. I still has not received my bedroom set,10 months later I explained that I will file a complaint or file a lawsuit against them. It is a year later and this business has showed me hurrible customers service, inappropriate business morel. I still have not been contacted nor have I received the refund. I am a college student and a single parent, funds do not come easy. I have done previous business were they were exceptional but, even as a veteran I know that this is not the way to treat us it isn't not let alone any human.Desired Settlement: Full refund with and interest monthly rate of 7% the same as which the charge customers if late on payment. Which accrue after September 2013 until the current.

Review: An order was placed with this company on 10-10-2013 and charged to my credit card on 10-25-2013 and as of this date no merchandise have ever been received. I was initially given a 12 week delivery estimate. After a brutal winter of delays I was given another probable delivery date of Feb 21-28. By March 10 no merchandise was received and I was given a new estimate of March 24-28. Went in person to resolve the issue on April 5 and was told the salesperson just spoke with the manufacturer and is expecting the delivery by April 11. Still no merchandise as of May 20 and was given another date of May 23. As of May 23, I have called the business every week day and the salesperson will not return my phone calls to discuss when I will receive my merchandise.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the amount of purchase since no items have been received.

Review: March 2015 purchesed $3000.00 furniture. The delivery was suppost to be on March 23, 2015. I received 1/2 my order April. They told me that they were going to deliver the rest on April 20th. I have been told many lies on the delivering date after last delivery. Example:The mattress that was delivered was the wrong mattress I had purchased. They tried to convince me that the mattress was a better brand so they would not have to bring it back to the business. The last conversation they told me that the delivery would be shipped May 8th, 2015. I have attemped to call Hamilton multi times, they will not answer their phone.(caller I.D)Desired Settlement: I would like my furniture be delivered ASAP, or a refund of the remaining furniture.

Review: On July 1, 2015, I visited Hamilton Enterprises in hopes of purchasing and receiving furniture for my new home. After spending hours in the store searching for the best furniture with the help of the co-owner, in which I was appreciative of, there is still no furniture in my possession after being given a delivery date of July 15, 2015. Shortly, after the delivery date passed questions and concern arose especially because money was drafted from my account, financing payments, without having received the furniture. I was told that payments wouldn't start until August 1, 2015 but someone decided otherwise. After calling the store multiple times and being left on hold for minutes to receive no response or a proposed callback from the co-owner, I became very upset and bothered with the situation. Eventually, days later I spoke with the co-owner whom was very rude and boisterous. During the conversation, I was barely ever able to explain my issue because she spoke over me almost the entire time during the conversation, horrible customer service and poor customer satisfaction. Per the conversation, I was told that she did not have a delivery date for my "special order" and that she never gave a delivery date of July 15th. Unfortunately, I was given the same story repetitively when I called to check on my delivery. There was even a time when I was deceived stating that the delivery truck was being loaded as if the furniture was at the store, not true. This has been a bad experience for me and my family especially being that we do not have any furniture in our home and have been awaiting delivery for over a month. To this date, I have yet to receive anything but emails stating that some of the furniture is in-store but not all and that a delivery date has not been scheduled.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the monies drafted from my account thus far along with cancellation of the order and financing with Crest Financial.

Review: I had furniture on layaway with Hamiltons. I wanted to cancel the layaway and receive a refund. I was advised I could only get a store credit. [redacted] was to email me some less expensive bedroom sets that would equal what I had already paid. I never received that email. After calling and receiving no information or return call, I drove from Hammond to Chalmette to get the problem resolved. The date I went was November 2, 2013. I picked the bedroom set and still had somewhat of a credit. I also got a curio cabinet to which I had to pay an additional sum of money. I was told I would receive the delivery before the holidays. I waited until after the holidays to call. Every time I would call to speak with [redacted] either she was out for the day or out of the business. I was told someone would call back with answers. Those calls never came. When I finally spoke with [redacted] the conversation became heated as this is the second time I had ordered furniture from them and got the run around. Finally, she put me on hold and came back to say there was one item on back order. The whole set would be released to them on January 31, 2014 and they would have it byFebruary 4, 2014. I asvisedLisa that if I did not hear from them by that date that I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com. She told me not to threaten her. At this point, I advised her that was not a threat but a promise. I gave her extra time as today is 2/17/14. I even left a message on 2/11/14 which was not returned. I still have no furniture but yet they took roughly $5000.00 of my money. Your help would be greatly appreciated!Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I either want the furniture delivered now or a cash refund so that I may get a new set of bedroom furniture elsewhere.

Review: On June 2, 2015, I ordered a kitchen set and bedroom set from Hamilton Enterprises. After a month passed without hearing from them about the status of my order, I contacted them. It took the company a week and a half to contact me. I was told that that they was unsure of the order status. I contacted them again on July 3 via phone contact. Lisa, an owner proceeded to inform me that the bedroom set was on back order until Nov. 2015. She suggested that I come in and order another set to replace the one I wanted. I asked why that information wasn't told to me at the onset of my purchase. I asked for a refund on the bedroom set and expected to keep the order for the kitchen table set (which has yet to be delivered). She refused a refund and offered that I come to the Warehouse to choose another bedroom set in which I wanted the one I originally ordered. The owner was extremely rude and disrespectful on the phone. She actually hung up the phone on me. Later that day I went to the Warehouse (July 3) to choose another bedroom set that was expected for delivery within the next 7 days. Today is August 13, 2015 and I have yet to hear from this company in regards to my furniture. It's been a total of 10 weeks awaiting furniture that I believe that have NO INTENTIONS on delivering. My order was paid full in cash. I have all documentation and would like to obtain a full refund for my inconvenience. My family has been sleeping on air mattresses for over 2 and half months awaiting a delivery from this company.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my money paid for the purchase order.
