Avoid at all costs! I was referred to JLevine to send some of my high end furniture and antiques for auction Ryan M*** showed up at my house to look at the items and provide me an idea of what value I could expect to receive for each One antique item in particular required an appraisal by them to determine the estimated value before agreeing to put them at auction Before I ever received the appraisal from them with an estimate, the pieces went to auction and were sold for pennies despite my explicit instructions and agreement with them that they would not be sold without my permission To make matters worse, they listed the item as broken which is most certainly was not They are now avoiding my calls and refuse to accept responsibility After reading some of these earlier posts, I wish I had done my research first as this seems to be their way of doing business I now plan to take the necessary steps and legal action if necessary to ensure other do not fall victim to JLevine and Ryan M*** ongoing scamming of innocent customers
Company took possession of items for consignment on July 5, Numerous items were never sold but JLevine says that due to a closure of their Tempe site they are unsure of what might have been misplaced or sold with no records being kept Numerous efforts to reach staff at Tempe were unsucessfull I was told by the Scottsdale.office that only staff at Tempe office could give me updates All calls to Tempe went to voice mail and were never returned
After the Tempe closure I began working with the Scottsdale office who assured me numerous times they were doing their best but there were computer problems and they really didn't have a clear inventory of the items they had accepted from our home I was told by Christopher in April of that there was a photographic record of the items and he would forward those to me so I could determine exactly which items were missingI never received the photos A follow up message to Christopher went unanswered I have requested a
On August 20, I was the successful bidder on lot *** at the JLevine Auction in Tempe, AZ It was a Southwestern pottery bowl, and I was invoiced for the $bid price, plus the $buyer's premiumOn August I remitted payment to J.Levine through PayPal (transaction ***) When I contacted an independent shipper to go pick up the item I had purchased, the shipper notified me that the item was not there to be picked up
I have now contacted JLevine Auction Coby telephone times, and have talked to different representatives It has been a month since I purchased the item, and I have received no answer, response, refund, or explanation from JLevine Auction Co I opened a complaint with PayPal days ago, and JLevine has been contacted regarding that complaint, yet they have still refused any response, or refund

I am the representative for a year old woman who moved from her home to assisted living in August She had a number of original art pieces and oriental itemsItems were picked up by J Levine and auctioned on August 26, Prior to the auction I had to contact them a number of times as some information seemed incorrect on the listings and there were missing items The consignment order that I received on 8/(prior to the auction) was missing a large number of items I never received an updated list but watched the auction on 8/and was able to find most of the missing items On August all items that were in lots were sold
On 9/I received a consignor settlement sheet It showed all but one lot with a balance due of $1, I called about the missing lot and other items that I had pictures of that were taken, but I never saw up for auction After a number of phone calls/emails they found the missing items and told me that I had to come over to their wareh
