On Thursday, 4/7/2016, I placed an order online at hardwareonlinestore.com (also doing business as Hanna Paint and Hardware [an Ace Hardware], N Andrews AveFort Lauderdale, Florida 33309) for a ozbottle of Schultz All-Purpose Plant Food LiquidThat same day I received from them an email confirmation of my order (noXXXXXX)The confirmation indicated the order status as "Confirmed" and the shipment method as "UPS - Standard 3-Business Days" By Thursday, 4/21/2016, (full weeks or business days after order placement) I had not received my order nor any notification of shipment or tracking number as is customary so I emailed HOS - HardwareOnlineStore inquiring as to the status of my order and requested a UPS shipment tracking number By the next day, 4/22/2016, I had not receive a response so I emailed them again On 4/23/I received an email from HOS - HardwareOnlineStore indicating that the order was shipped that day via USPS Priority and included a tracking numberNo explanation or apology as to the cause for the two week delay On 4/25/I received my orderI was not at all pleased that the bottle had leaked drastically and had completely saturated the packing slip taped around the bottle and had turned it completely green from the liquid plant food's dyeThe outside of the bottle and the inside of the shipping envelope were wet and sticky with liquid plant food The leak was readily apparent even before opening the shipping envelopeThe address label was smeared from being wet and there was a smell of ammonia from the fertilizerAfter examining the level of remaining contents in the bottle I estimate that approximately 20% of the ounces of liquid fertilizer had leaked out The cause of the leak was apparently due to their decision to ship it via day USPS Priority Mail which required shipment in an unpressurized cargo hold of an airplane (Florida to California)The low pressure at high altitude caused the higher internal pressure of the bottle to expand, rupture the seal, and leak extensivelyNot a wise decisionThe original order stated and I paid for UPS ground delivery ($13.77) not expedited air deliveryEven if they had shipped it UPS Ground as they were supposed to it was not a wise decision to package a quart bottle in only a padded envelope That same day, 4/25/2016, I sent them another email describing the condition of the order I receivedAfter a full week, 5/2/2016, still no response I have found HOS - HardwareOnlineStore to be the antithesis of customer satisfactionThey ignored my order for two weeks and only shipped it after my emailsThey offered no explanation or apologyThey used extremely poor judgement in selecting a shipping method that caused the leakThey are ignoring my email describing the unsatisfactory condition of my order received

Sent wrong productemails not answered.Phone calls resulted in or hang upsHope it has been credited to my account

When a tool I purchased made by this company malfunctioned, I wrote them a letter asking for suggestions on how to fix it They never answered my E-mail

No one had themThey were out of stock everywhereI found the at HOS at a very good priceI had a lady that took my orderShe was very helpful & said it would take 3-business days to ship & I got them a week after! Love them, I'm very happy & would buy from them again

Yes, this place is definitely a ripoff I placed an order on August 8, thinking I was ordering of the same item I received the order August 21, but only one item at $with $shipping I WAS SHOCKED It couldn't have cost them more than $to ship this I then checked my email and I had received an order confirmation on August 18, TEN DAYS AFTER I PLACED THE ORDER! I had tried to check the order on the day I placed it but there was no way to do that A HUGE RIPOFF I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN! I HAVE DEALT WITH MANY BUSINESSES OVER THE YEARS BUT NOT THIS CROOKED!

Place orders for the same thing on 9/9/ One going to GA other to MI Never received email invoice for GA order but that order shipped ok Received duplicate invoices for MI but no shipment Contacted retailer a month later (one guy on a cell phone) and gave order number and was told it might be back ordered and he would call me back when he got info on it Never got a call back and just received shipment today 11/2/minutes ago All cans of Gorilla glue are beat all to [redacted] with packing paper in the top and bottom of the package and the cans loose in the box What tells me they were that way when they were mailed was the invoice was literally crumpled into a ball and put in the box Visually documented with photos

Even though I paid HOS a very high shipping charge, I have waited weeks for my order to ship after charging my credit cardAnd all items were in stockAt two weeks, they told me they were waiting on several orders before shipping and my shipping order was created a week laterI hope it ships someday! So don't be in a hurry for anything you order from them!

Terrible customer service, never answer the phone, never return emails
If you buy online they doesn't send you a confirmation email, they never issue an invoice, I ask several times for my Invoice and never receive it, finally I ask them to send the invoice by regular mail (paper), they never answer my email
I never again will purchase in this "company" ever

I run a high volume restaurant in NYC and this vendor had some of the best pricing on hardware items I could findNeedless to say, you get the service you pay for
I placed a bulk order for fireplace matches from this company and quickly received confirmation for that order, but noticed the order status as "pending." After five business days, I never received an update regarding the status of my order
It was nearly impossible to get a hold of someone from their team for another business daysAfter many calls, I managed to get a woman on the phone who assured me that the order would be fullfilledI asked when it will be shipped, but she was unable to give me that information and stated that no one else could help me out with the order
Eleven business days after the order was placed, no shipment was receivedI called in again and spoke to another representative that told me the item had been under stocked since before I placed my orderI am baffled why this company would not communicate with their cutomers and clearly list when an item does not have enough inventory to fill the orderI would have gladly taken fewer items if I were told outright that my order could not be filled
The only way to describe my experience is "pitiful customer service"I will say the company quickly refunded my credit cardThat is the only positive aspect of this hassle

I ordered some decorative lanterns from this site to give as a Christmas gift I was a bit concerned because it was not a large well known website, but my friend really wanted these and they were priced right so I took a chance It was a set of three and one had a defect where there was no paint so I could not give it as a gift I called about the situation and they were very helpful and refunded my money with no hassles They stand by the product even though it was manufacturer defect! Will use them again

I recently bought different products for the Kamado Joe grill This was my first and last time that I will deal with this company All products were supposedly in stock I placed the order on 2/24/ After a week of not seeing the shipment confirmation, I called ample times (you cannot get anyone to answer the phone over there) Finally, after contacting them, they told me that it would be shipping 3/ They had srewed up the order somehow So, I do get the shipment in on the 12th.....Thursday One of the products was defective That was not their fault They said that they would ship out a replacement product on Monday - 3/ Apparently, they only ship products days a week Strange Anywho, I didn't get it that week nor did I get a shipping notice I bet that it took me no less than times in calling to get someone to answer......you cannot leave a voicemail either I also sent an email and got no response Finally, I got through on 3/ They said that it would be shipping on 3/for sure They offered no explanation as to why the delay DO NOT buy anything from this company Just ridiculous

Ordered some switches Dec 2nd and never got them until the 16th, AND ITS ONLY 20MINS AWAY!! When I saw the address and the shipping charge $9.00+ I wrote and asked if I could come by and pick them up but my email was ignored. I was lead to believe the shipping was free when I was checking out and did not see the $9 charge until after my card was charged. Never again.

I ordered items never received after over 30 days and did receive order confirmation on the next day that states I ourchased , however never ever received my items--nor any other emails about delays. I sent 5 emails got no response--got on the phone with xxxx who was rude and making it seem like I should care that her email was not working right-seems very suspicious--that being said she said she needed my full credit card so she could find order as she couldnt find based on my name? I said no--send me check--she said ok then said she cant needs only last 4 digits--we went through cards until she found it and then told me that I shouldnt use so many cards-?? not sure what that was and then hung up--cant wait to see if I get credit--she made it seem like she was doing me a favor by giving me a credit ---if you dont I said its called stealing--I paid over 30 days ago and have no product---what a waste and scam--also when called guy answered like it was his own phone and was like no I am a sister company --as I was chatting sent me over to HOS direct--just odd--

I ordered five hummingbirds window feeders on the 14th of Sept. and I haven't received any thing from HOS. So I have tried to call many times and when the man answers after I told him I was checking on an order he hung up the phone. He did this every time I called. Please people,do not order from this company. [redacted]

Ordered material on 3/20/15
After 15 or so emails, phone calls, etc. we still had not received the material, yet
they processed our credit card on 3/24/15.

Finally we got someone to answer the phone on 4/21/15 and he said the material would be shipped out that day.

Material came in today looking like it had been sitting for weeks.

Would suggest you look anywhere else BUT here for any material that they show.
It will be well worth the extra price you have to pay.

They shipped me exactly what I wanted, at a very fair price.

Yes, this place is definitely a ripoff. I placed an order on August 8, thinking I was ordering 3 of the same item. I received the order August 21, but only one item at $4.69 with $16.69 shipping. I WAS SHOCKED. It couldn't have cost them more than $6 to ship this.

I ordered a Xmas item a week before Xmas due to low price. However, they were exorbitant on shipping. I dealt with it because I wanted item, and was hoping to get it by or soon after Xmas due to shipping timetable. I would be okay with giving slightly late gift. I get a very unprofessional call on voicemail two days later asking me if I want the item shipped? Why would I order something if I didn't want it to ship? I call back, get a rude runaround because they don't have my info handy, and finally say it will ship. It is now 12/21. I write them via email for shipping confirmation and/or tracking info. I get a response on 12/30 saying item shipped on 12/30. I have no idea what they were doing for nine days, but I definitely would have had my product by then if they shipped asap. So I will probably get item after first week of January and while I was willing to accept a little delay, that is ridiculous. Very unprofessional and high shipping cost (my item was small and lightweight) so shipping should have been minimal. I know how much postage cost, and obviously "handling" was subpar. Just do not buy from there. Google them first. They have so many pages of bad reviews. Lesson learned too late by me.
