My air conditioning unit went out so I called this company because they had left a magnet at my home stating the gave free estimates on service callsWhen I first called they told me it would cost to send someone as the free estimates were only for pricing new units but they eventually waived the feeThe woman on the phone made the appointment and said someone would call me back shortly to tell me what time to expect a tech to arriveAfter over two hours I called back to see if they could at least give me a time for the arrival of the techThey told me they were sorry and a tech would be here within an hour
The tech finally called and said he would be here in minsHe begin asking me all kinds of questions and kept telling me to go do things to the a/c unitHe obviously became frustrated when I told him I couldn't find something or didn't know something about the unitI have not ever worked with or in a/c this is why I called an a/c repair person Then he mentioned payment for the services, all while still on the phone before he got hereI informed him the company said that he would come give a repair estimate for freeHe became obviously frustrated and said he would call them and call me back because he didn't come out for free
When he hung up I called the office back to which I reached a different personI told him of the problems already occurring and asked him about the waived feeHe said he saw in the notes where the woman earlier waived it but wasn't sure why she had done thatI explained of the offer on the magnet which said free service estimate and he said it was her decision so he'd go with itFinally the tech called back after talking to supervisor and said he come out in about mins
When the tech arrived he was very unprofessional and obviously upset he had to be hereHe went upstairs to the thermostat to make sure I had it set right then went out to the unitHe said that the only thing wrong was a bad capacitor and it would be $to change itThat I should be happy as he was giving me a discounted price at thatHe never checked anything else on the air unit to make sure this was the problemWe paid the money, he turned the unit on, and leftThe unit did blow a little cold air but immediately made a funny soundHe said not worry it was fixed
The next morning I left the house and was gone all day to take care of somethingsWhen I returned home my a/c was making a horrible sound and smokingI walked outside to the unit to find it was hot enough to catch fireI flipped the breakers off and immediately began calling the hrnumber and sending messages and emails for someone to call meThis was at about midnight The website says there is a hrCall return guaranteeAt 5:amI finally quit calling and emailing to get a couple hrs sleepAt about 9:00am I woke up and began calling again to finally reach someoneThey said they'd send a tech out by 11amThey didn't seem concerned at allThe second tech was much more professional and actually seemed to have knowledge of a/c repairHe took his time and tried several things to figure out the problemHe informed me that the a/c could have caught fire and I did a good thing by turning off the breaker the night beforeHe tested several things and narrowed it to one of two problemsThe fan motor which would be a $fix or the compressor which would be over $I told him I'd have to wait as I couldn't fix either right nowThis tech was good at his job and quoting me company prices I realize he has no control overHe left me his number and the quote and reminded me to keep the breakers off so the unit didn't catch fire
I emailed the main office after the second tech left thanking them for sending a second tech who was professional and inquiring into the actions of the first techI realize it was a weekend but the website says they have hr serviceI spent $that didn't fix the problem and the first tech left me with a broken unit that could have easily burnt my house downThis was all because he was in a hurry and didn't bother to check and make sure he had fixed the problem
The company has yet to reach out to me or offer a refund at all regarding the first techI paid for work that didn't fix the problem and left a unit they could have done severe damage to me and my propertyThey seem to not careFurther more after research I have found many other companies with reputable quality work who can complete the job at a much lower price I will not use this company again

Very disappointed! A Harrell rep came to my house since power to my upstairs unit was going out He informed her that our outside unit's compressor was bad and we needed a new unit and further that he recommended replacing the air handler/exchanger while we were at it Total estimate was approximately $for the outside unit and the air handler or $for the outside unit only I then called and spoke to this same rep who told me the same thing I told him that I was going to get another estimate since this was a lot of money I think at that point he knew I wasn't going to be calling back The reason I wouldn't be calling back is that he was trying to sell us something we didn't need and at a very inflated price I had *** *** out of Lakeland come to the house and as soon as I explained what was happening with my unit this tech knew it couldn't be my compressor because it was not tripping my breakers Needless to say it was something as simple as an exposed wire on the outside unit that was touching the metal and blowing the fuse in the air handler He double checked the compressor and it is in good shape and perfectly fine Out of curiosity, I asked how much an outside unit would cost me if I needed it He said about $plus labor, so about $ This is about $less than what Harrell was quoting us I could tell when I was on the phone with this guy from Harrell he was a salesman and thought he was getting one over on us

I have made phone calls to various telephone numbers for Harrell Home Services in Tampa and Orlando, and I always receive an answering service I have left messages requesting that someone in billing return my call, and I have not received one return phone call I have requested a telephone number to the office so I can speak with someone directly about my dissatisfaction with customer service, and I have been told numerous times that they can't connect to that number So you mean to say that I can't call a phone number straight to the office, and their call center personnel can't reach them either? Everyone was very responsive when I was shopping to install a new a/c unit, but now I can't get a reply I'm extremely unhappy with the customer service received to date, which has been nonexistent!

AVOID THIS COMPANY! AHS sent Harrell Home Services to fix a sqealing fanThey showed up said it was a capaciter & I needed lbs of freon @ $a lb not covered by my planI refused the freon after I called a family member in the AC business who said $per lb was outrageousHe "fixed" it but that night the fan quit working altogether I called again & again but reached a answering service taking msgsAHS said I was stuck with themThey finally called me & said tech would come the next day between 2-they never showed up a 9pm to say it needed a fan motor & a miracle had happened it no longer needed freonHe said they would get the part and be back the next dayby midday I didn't hear from them so I called and again got a ans service found a diff number on VP's facebook & calledthey came replaced the fanleft screws all around & leftMy AC is not working at allcalled VP again & they were to come againno callno showCan't trust the VP to do whats right

The service technician Tyree, was on time, knowledgeable, extremely polite and customer service focusedThis was a very positive experience!!!!!

Saturday, July 2, our AC unit stopped workingBeing a holiday weekend, it was a little difficult to get anyone out to check the systemOur company was slow to respond, so we called a couple of others Harrell Home Services was one of themNow let me tell you what happenedThe Harrell Home Services representative said that they would have one of their technicians call and set up an appointmentLater that afternoon, our doorbell rangIt was the technician from Harrell's (he did not call to set up the appointment)Okay, that was not an issueWe greeted him and I walked with him to check out the inside unitHe took a look at it and then said he wanted to see the outside portionHe went outside for a few moments and came back in and told me the "bad news"My compressor, the heart of the system was not workingHe even went as far as to show me using one of his amp measuring devices, how it should be reading above 1, but mine was at something and falling My system is getting in the need to replace range, so I wasn't too stunned by the statement
He (the technician) said the company should have sent a sales rep, not the technician, because it would be best if we purchased a new systemI was in the area listening as he made a call back to his office to find out how much it would cost to repair the system It was in the $3,rangeHe also asked about prices for replacing the system The person on the line gave him prices for two systems, a ton, seer unit and a ton, seer unit I was listening to the technician's part of the call and the technician knew itSo as the person on the line gave him the first price, the technician says that the price is a little high, so see what they can do to help us out
Now comes the real kill shotThey came up with three prices (approximations of the prices follow)For the repair; $3,750, for the seer unit: $8,and for the seer unit: $9,(replacements have long warranties)That's a good bit of money so I began talking about taking a look other places to check on the priceIn order to help me out because I am a veteran and the owner of the company was a veteran, I could get a little bit of a discount on the systems (approximately $and $respectively)That was great! I got a chance to talk to Jeff, someone at the company and he told me that they also had a seer unit that would work wonderfully, at a higher price thoughThe unit sounded great and I was really intriguedAs I went into the bedroom to discuss the purchase with my wife, the phone rangIt was Jeff with a dealThey had a ton, seer unit they had recently used in a show, but was not in the box that they could install for $7,This unit was a one-time offer and the first customer who accepted it was the one that was going to get it ALARM BELLS! WARNING! High pressure sales tacticWe let the technician go and told him we would be in touch after we figured out which system we wanted
In the meantime, we were able to get in touch with our service representative He came out and said that our compressor was not dead and he could fix the unit the same day if they had the part and no later than the first thing the next day (for a lot less than $3,000)They had the part and my AC unit is running as I type this memoI am telling my story so that anyone considering using Harrell Home Services can heed the contract law phrase of "let the buyer beware" If you use Harrell Home Services for a repair that turns into a replacement, please, please, please get a second opinionMy experience was extremely disturbing since they provided me information in order to entice me to buy a new unit instead of repairing the old one Yeah, I believe the prices of the replacement systems were probably inflated as well, but I did not do too much research into it because my system was repaired

I had a tech I believe the name was Sean come out and fix my AC no problems I called and they came the same night and got us cooling This Gentleman represents his company well

I called AHS to cancel my contract with them but the person I was talking asked me to let them send another air conditioning company out at no charge to me so I did they sent Harrell Home Services when the technician came out he said I need a whole new system inside and out and gave me a price of $7,so I said I need to see what AHS is going to replace or pay for he went to his car then came back in my home and said AHS was going to buy me out for $and they will send me a check and kept pushing me to buy their system that's all this guy cared about,then the next day he called and said he needed to come and finish the paper work so AHS can send me the check so when he got to my home the told me AHS was not going to buy me out until I installed their new system for first then send them a copy of the invoice when the system is install then they will send me a check to buy me outI did not believe this technician so the net day I call AHS and they told me it was not true,Harrell Home Services told AHS I wanted to install their systemfor which was not true, all Harrell Home Services did from the minute they came into my home was lie to me over and over and be very pushy

We replaced our A/C unit with this company on a referralIn less than a year it failedI called, and a tech came out, He replaced a fan and capacitor and said we were good to goAfter an hour, and the house getting hotter, I called them backWe are now at 9-pm in Florida in August.At this point I sent my family to the nearest hotel for the night as it was degrees in the house This was one of the selling points we admired.."If your system is down over hours we will pay for a hotel" is what our contract statedThat was an important thing for a home-schooling familyTech returned to advise that what he did wasn't the problem Next day I was put " first stop" by the techs to get us back onlineI left work early to meet them at a,m, when they were to arriveTech showed up about p.mThis time tech diagnosed the system with a different issue More nights in the hotel, food cost for eating out, and fuel wasted to come to my house and care for my animalsStill no resolve A different tech came out, and gave a different diagnosisIt took a day to locate the partThey finally located the part and the tech put it in to make the system work properlyThen I call, several times, and ask to speak to Dan who handles reimbursement of hotel cost and no returned callsCalled several times to no availAs a final resolve, I contacted the owner, Justin H***, and spoke to him about what was going onHe advised to send bills to him and he would make it rightI sent the the bills as askedThat was 1/weeks agoNothingNow I'm going to have to waste my time and money to sue them to get our money backI'm especially worried b/c we went with the upgrade to the twelve year warrantyCan't imagine what things will be like in the future

Never been so discussed with a company in me life They wer out here eight time before getting the new unit to work God We had the six months service completed on Friday Turned the heat on for he first time on Saturday night and we had NO HEAT! Called them and it took five hours for them to come out after they said we were next for service When the tach came out the switch had black tape over it where then heat turns on up inside the unit Tell me how they checked it when they came out if the unit was not tuned on for the heat I would never use this company again for anything if I did not still have a contract with them

I am a property manager for yearsWe hired this company for a 2nd opinion for a costly repair on an AC unitThe vendor was extremely rude and unprofessionalHe refused to touch the unit unless we guaranteed he would get the jobVery rude and unprofessionalHe stormed out of the house

My AC was not cooling the houseI called at 6pm and someone was here by 8:45, and the company called to give me updates on the time of arrivalMy unit needed replaced and they were here the next morning and I had AC by 1:that dayThey were very nice and prompt

I was notified by [redacted] at Revdex.com that I was eligible to file a review against Harrell Home Services.
On Oct. 23, 2015 Harrell Home Services sent Jesus R[redacted] to check on work that had already been completed months before and had been okay ed by the code person. I stated to Mr. R[redacted] that I was a senior with both hips replaced and osteoporosis and cannot climb up the ladder to check his work. Mr. R[redacted] proceeded to pulled out the entire inside AC vat and haul it down the ladder and through my house to show me that a small amount of water had collected in it.
By April 1, 2016 I noticed insulation had fallen onto my ceiling lights in the kitchen where the AC vat was located. I asked my daughter to climb up the ladder to the attic where the AC vat was located. My daughter said someone had stepped on the dry wall breaking through the ceiling with water dripping onto the wires of the lighting.
My daughter called Harrell Home Services to report the damages and informed them of Mr. R[redacted] being the last and only person up there.
April 14,2016 Jay from Harrell Home Services looked at the damages. Jay stated that Jesus R[redacted] had been fired and many other workers had been fired after Harrell Home Services received an F rating. Jay asked us to give Harrell Home Services a good review after they fixed the damages. Jay wrote down the damages giving us his cell # and stated is no one showed up by Tuesday to call him.
No one showed up or called. My daughter called Jay's cell # and Jay returned our call and said he would get on it. After that he blocked all our calls.
My daughter called Harrell Home Services and was continuously transferred from one operator to another all of whom could not give us any answers about our situation.
Finally in desperation I called another AC & Heating company that was highly recommended to repair the damages. They gave me a detailed bill as did another company that replaced & repaired the broken dry wall and lights over my kitchen ceiling. The amount of repairs came to $502.00.
I filed in small claims court against Harrell Home Services. They never showed up for the case against them on June 14, 2016 @ 8:30 am. The case was reset for June 28, 2016 @ 8:30 am. Once again Harrell Home Services ignored the summons and failed to show up. I presented my case with documentation. The Judge ruled in my favor against Harrell Home Services to pay The amount of $597.17. Harrell Home Services has chosen to ignore the Judges ruling and has never paid for the damages they are responsible for.
SENIORS BEWARE: Harrell Home Services is not to be trusted.

My husband and I are both physicians in the Windemere Florida area and recently we were seeking a air-conditioning company to replace a three-time Fortine into ton unit in our home. We went with Harrel home it was the best decision we made. We met with Eddie the sales representative and he was so honest and a teacher. He gave us the real needs for our house and offered us a variety of Systems without any bias. He was knowledgeable and like a teacher. We selected Lenix 16 seer two-stage system and variable speed air handler or systems. The next day the installers came and did an excellent job Despite the unique architecture of our home that is cosmetically beautiful but an AC nightmare. Jason and his team went well beyond their job and checked all the ducts and sealed everything perfectly as well as explained everything to the detail & answered all questions. They even cleaned out my dryer vent just because they're nice guys. They were extremely professional and very nice and hard-working people. I also got six quotes and they were the most cost-effective for the most quality work. am so impressed.

Harrell Home Services came out to my house late at night to get me cooling. Pricing was fair service was quick. Would recommend them to anyone needing fast reliable service.

Mat came to service my air conditioner, he was well informed and articulate. He installed the Biologic 3 Stage Oxidizer, I was not happy to have more expense, but I also understood the need for the prevention of bio growth on the coils from prior experiences. Mat was very professional and efficient. Thankyou.

The technician, Tyree was very informative, knowledgeable, and was very easy to talk to. Looking forward to our next service.

If you are surfing the Net looking for an A/C company stop now and call Harrell Home Services! We recently needed an A/C repair and called Harrell Home Services. It turned out be more than a repair. They exceeded our expectations

Initially, I was apprehensive when I read some of the reviews posted both in Revdex.com and the Company's website. Having spent my career working to satisfy the needs of clients, I know there are always 2 sides to every story. So I picked up the phone and called Sergio, the Harrell Rep we were dealing with. I shared my concerns. Within 5 minutes the owner, Justin H. called me to discuss. Mr. H. was very open and offered to share the scenarios leading up to the complaints. His explanations were very candid, transparent and upfront. As a result I chose to do business with them. I must say it was a complete pleasure. The Team, including Mr. H. were extremely professional, and proactive on each step of the work. I really want to commend Sergio who came out to troubleshoot my broken A/C. My husband is very sick and the heat was putting him under duress. At about 10PM Sergio went to 2 Walmart stores to find a portable A/C unit which 'he put in the window at 2:00AM. AT 10 AM he brought a company portable A/C . By noon the new A/C unit was delivered and installed by Carlos and Michael, 2 very skilled A/C techs who drove from Orlando to do the job.. Excellent Customer Service and repaired my A/C in the same day that it was broken. I would highly recommend this business to other friends and family. They did a great job and got our house cool fast!!!

I have made seven attempts to get a member of management to return my call, and no one has done so. I also shared that I have some repair issues, but still no one has returned my calls yet! It seems that they are trying to wait until my warrant runs out.
