Harvard Collection Services Reviews (%countItem)

Received alert on my credit report showing a collection account for $300. I do not or have heard of this company. I looked them up online and called TWICE with no resolve. The first call I was on hold for 37 minutes someone pick up the line and then hung up. The second call I was on hold for 1hr 53 minutes and still did not get to speak to anyone. This has caused my credit score to drop drastically. No one has notified me of anything verbally or in writing and I have been the one calling to find out what is this about with no resolve. I want this removed as this is inaccurate, fraudulent and in violation.

I went to check my credit report and there’s an account from Harvard Collection Services. I never received any notice from them and have never heard of them. I have really good credit because I pay my bills on time. Well, I had really good credit. That account that was reported to the credit bureau dropped my credit score by 60 points. I have no idea what this business is and never heard anything about or received anything from them. I’m requesting they remove this account from all credit reporting agencies.

assigned to our office by our client on April 03, 2020 in the name of ***,
MELISSA. Our records do not indicate any prior contact with the consumer. Upon receipt of the complaint the account has been
submitted for credit deletion and the collection activity has been ceased.
Additionally, we have requested the itemized bill from the client. Once received
we will send it to consumer’s mailing address for validation of the debt. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us at

Harvard Collections with whom I’ve have never done business with has reported a collection to all three credit bureaus 3 months ago.

Each credit bureau list a different open date for the collection and also Harvard Collections never contacted me any in way to perform a debt validation prior to sending this debt to the credit bureaus.

The collection on my credit reports should be deleted immediately as there is no legal binding contract between Harvard Collections and myself, and a debt validation process was not performed prior to them hurting my credit.

This company has placed a collection on my credit report. I have never done business with them nor have I ever been notified of any pending collection. This has caused substantial damage to my credit score. I have absolutely no idea or knowledge where this account came from as I am not past due on anything. Further, they have failed to send validation of debt or notice before reporting to my credit. This is illegal activity based on the Fair Credit Reporting Act!

Harvard collections need to stop calling people that’s not me. They want to talk to me so bad I called them and the rep put me on hold and never came back to the line. I left a message for them as well I have zero problem talking to their little unprofessional people. Over the phone or in person I can come up there anytime they’re ready.

I am not responsible for a debt in the amount of $912 that Harvard Collection Service is attempting to collect. I have sent multiple validation letters to this company to validate debt and they have FAILED to respond with proof. I need proof that I am indeed the party you are asking to pay this debt and some contractual obligation which is binding on me to pay this debt. As I am sure you are well aware, under FDCPA Section 809 (b), you are not allowed to pursue collection activity until the debt is validated.

notice of collection on my report $6,151 as of May 28th, 2020 from Illinois dept of human services. called on May 29th to confirm that I am in direct payment arrangement as of April 1st 2020 directly with IDHS with a $500 deposit and $50 month payment arrangement to avoid collection. customer service rep stated that no form of payment has been made to them. I replied that I am not obligated to payments to collection agency when I am already in agreement and good standings with original debtor. he then begin to yell and said maybe I don't understand and repeat that no payments have been received. I begin to get upset and complain about him being professional he than got really nasty with me and I proceeded to hang up.

I have never been spoken to by a representative the way Francisco *** spoke to me when I was seeking to reduce a monthly payment. While I understand there are certain restrictions making it complicated for him to do such a thing, the tone in which he spoke to me explaining those restrictions was uncalled for. His response when I acknowledged his unprofessional tone was that he was treating me like any other collector would. In my past experience, not one representative has spoken to me in such an unprofessional tone. He mentioned his 15 years with the company, I hope no one else has had to endure such mistreatment while trying their best to pay off a debt.

I checked my credit periodically and around april 28th 2020 I saw 3 collections accounts for 16 each with harvard collections & grassy water I thought this must be a mistake so I reached out to the company I spoke with mr Pandeep *** ,I asked for validation of this debt. he said he would help me and he would send it via email. I explain my concerns I wanted to know what those charges were for, he said he would email it to me. I provide my email address .I asked mr *** if I took care of this matter would it be removed from my credit report he said sure. I agreed to take care of it I asked for a receipt of the transaction showing all 3 reference numbers .I never received it ,I immediately called back asked for a supervisor I spoke with a Breshand *** who hung up on me several times. I called again spoke with Mr Baipai who got upset and said they will cancel it.. I work very hard to build my credit and negatives items like this just dropped my score by 50 points.

consumer to her email address which she denied receiving. As a result, we
later initiated a refund for the whole amount which taken from her account to
pay the debts at issue.Furthermore, we have also received the dispute from the consumer via the

after which the account was submitted for credit deletion and all the

Harvard Collection services has damaged my credit by irresponsibly reporting a very old but paid balance to the Illinois DPS in the amount of $220. I have not received ANY correspondence from Harvard or spoke to anyone from their agency. Not a letter, email or phone call. Very irresponsible and unethical practice the buying and selling of alleged debt. One could say it’s criminal. How can a person be liable if they are unaware of a debt?

This is almost an illegal company that uses phones to harass seniors on money they 'DON'T OWE", through lies and verbal intimidation they try to collect money that is either paid on an old account or past the time period to be in collection, by renewing the debt with collection dates that are decades old with new dates to credit agencies. They also use the good name of the Better Busines Bureau in their advertising by using their logo on their web site. Contact you congressman, state rep., or senator to put a halt to these illegal practices. I AM A VETERAN AND DEFENDED THIS COUNTRY AGAINST PEOPLE LIKE THIS THAT TRY TO STRONG ARM SENIORS ON THE PHONE TO PAY ON OLD OLD DEBTS THAT ARE NO LONGER COLLECTABLE OR DEBTS THAT WERE PAID OFF MANY YEARS AGO AND SENIORS NO LONGER HAVE RECORD OF PAID DEBTS. They did and do his in communist countries. This is America!

I noticed a collection from this company on my credit report today. I tried calling them last week after noticing many blocked called from their various numbers. Upon calling the first thing I reach was an answering service which was hard to understand. After that I spoke to a man that refused to identify himself or what type of business he worked for. He only repeated that it was for an urgent matter.

I often check my credit so I am extremely familiar with what is on it. And all of a sudden I have a collection from Harvard Collection Services for October 2019 with no Company name for the amount of $1358.00. I have absolutely no idea what this is about and if it truly is legit then why is there NO COMPANY Name by the Account field?
Thanks,
Carolyn
