Hi folks. Its June 14th and my alien never shipped. Haunted Props out of New York ended up subcontracting out the Alien to a company in New Orleans who created a shipping label on June 1 but never shipped it. On June 9, Joe the owner said he would contact them and find out why and get back to me. Did he get back to me? No. Did I demand a refund today? You bet I did.

When I called Joe on 3/23 to ask him a question, he warned me that it will take 2 weeks to ship. On 3/23 I ordered my alien. As of today, 5/27 my Alien has not shipped. While Joe has been kind and apologetic and even offered me a discount, the fact of the matter is that he has given me 3 different ship dates and still has not shipped. I have sent emails but they still remain unanswered. Joe, I understand you are having mold cracking issues but you said the new porcelain mold would solve this problem. You also stated last on 5/18 that mine would certainly ship by the end of the week. That would have been 5/21. When Joe, when? When Joe, When?

I placed an order nine days before Halloween. The website stated all 25 of my items were in stock. They even asked for a "need by" date. Yet Halloween is tomorrow, and I still haven't received a single one. Even retailers who do most of their business around a single holiday should be able to meet a nine-day delivery window. They don't offer an expedited shipping option. They don't contact you when your order will be late. They don't provide a tracking number with your order, or tell you who's delivering it. The prices are good, but not worth the hassle. I won't do business with them again.

This company is absolutely shady. Take your business elsewhere. They will lie continually about their product, shipping, and displace blame on anyone but themselves. They like to paint themselves as white as snow angels but from my miserable experience with them, they are little gremlins out to con as many people as they can.

My order number is below. Every response I receive from this company is very vague. They have told me two different dates of shipment and have yet to ship. I haven't had issues with any other Halloween company. Thank you for you help.

You state one thing and then do something completely different. We have spoken via phone and now you are changing your mind. It is not good customer service to inconvience your client, lie to your client and decieve them. Your business practices are shady at best.  We want the refund that is owed to us immediately and not via store credit.  You directed us to return the product which we have done.  If this refund is not made within the week we will continue to review your company and the situation.  You have dragged on this situation for far too long. We have phone records, delivery signatures and emails to prove that you are in the wrong.  if you have any hope of resolving your client relationship you will return the funds.

If the prop takes 3 to 4 weeks to make, I'm fine with that.  What bothers me is the fact that I was specifically told by Hauntedprops that I would receive the correct prop in a maximum of 2 weeks.  It's been over a month since initially receiving the wrong item and not once have they contacted me to just let me know it's running late.  It's always me trying to contact them.  A little more communication on their end would be greatly appreciated.  After submitting my initial complaint, Joe did call me and left a message.  He stated that my prop would be delivered to me after I returned the old one at my own expense.  The only reason I still have the original prop they sent me is because when I asked Joe what he wanted me to do with it he said "Just hang on to it for now and I'll have it picked up. I'll take care of everything."  Now that I've filed a complaint against Hauntedprops, Joe doesn't want to stand behind his word that they will take care of the shipping and make things right.  When I called Joe again to discuss the situation he did not answer and has not returned my calls.  How can any business expect the customer to pay return shipping costs when the business sent the wrong item in the first place.  It is not my fault that Hauntedprops made a mistake and I should not have to pay extra money to receive the correct prop that I ordered.  I would like Hauntedprops to cover any shipping costs as they initially said that they would.
