I hired Joseph for Healthy Pools, Chandler, AZ to replace the hot tub motor, pump and ozone unit. He charged me $1,600 for parts and 6 hours of labor. I feel that he took advantage of us. Be careful dealing with him, he is charming and will take of you as well.

On June 27 2014 [redacted] obtain healthy Pools service.   [redacted] called me and stated that she is having problems keeping the pool clean.  I told her that I charge a $100 for monthly services.   We made appointment to meet at 7:00pm.  As I observed [redacted] plaster...

pool, it looked very dirty, and cloudy.  At the time it seemed that the pool was not being cleaned and filter properly.  I proceeded to vacuum the pool manually.  As I was vacuuming the sand and plaster was returning back to the pool through the returns.  I then stop vacuuming.  I stated to [redacted] that you have plaster and sand returning back to your pool.   I explain that the laterals are broken.   I would need to empty your sand filter.  Sand filter service I stated I would charge her $300.00 plus cost of sand.  [redacted] gave me the ok and paid me in full.  When I opened the sand filter 3 quarters of the sand was gone. I took out the remainder of the sand, and discovered that the laterals were broken.  At least 250 lbs of sand went into the pool.  At this time I informed [redacted] that I would have to drain the pool.  She then ok me to do so.  When I arrived the next day the pool was filled with sand, plaster and also bricks that are not suppose to been in the pool.  I did not charge [redacted] for drain because her husband [redacted] and their and the kids made it a family effort to clean it themselves.  At this time [redacted] said he had his friend build his pool and filter.   Therefore [redacted] was unable to retain a warranty for the equipment and pool.  I then charged the [redacted] for the repair on the Hayward sand filter plus 8 new laterals.  [redacted] made a partial payment.  I returned the sand filter 100% repaired.   I asked over and over again regarding the in floor cleaning system.  She stated that she was told it was fine.  I stated that you are required to have working infloor cleaning system working properly.  Or a vacuum cleaner in.  Just because I only service the pool once a week.
3 weeks later on July 9, I service [redacted] pool.
July 16, 2014 [redacted] texted me stating my pool is turning green.  I immediately called [redacted] and communicated to her the the pool is not green.  But rather you have to get a vacuum or fixing the in floor system.  I gave her quotes for both vacuum and new pop up gears.  Again I reinstated that it's required to have a cleaning system.
July 18, 2014 the day I service [redacted] pool I arrived at the pool and it was covered with dirt from one end to the other.  [redacted] then meet me at the pool filter.  He stated that the cleaning system is not working.  So I proceeded to open the gear box.  The gear box and the plumbing connected to the gears was full of sand.  Also the gear box was jammed with sand.  [redacted]  ask me to find our how much the gears were I to told her I charge $85 to service plus parts which are $150.  [redacted] said he would give me a call but never did.
July 19, 2014 I call [redacted] stated that I would like to return your gears. I didn't get a calk back from you or your husband.  Please let me know when I can return gears.  That morning I went to [redacted] pool and installed the original gears.  As I finished installing the gears [redacted] became irate.  Treating me with complaining to the Revdex.com and Yelp.  I told [redacted] feel free to do so.  I restated that I required my clients to have working system just like any other pool service.  He then told me to leave his house.  So I did.
I am very honest business.  [redacted]

RE: COMPANY Healthy Pools    Revdex.com Complaint [redacted]Response 04/01/15WHEN I READ HIS RESPONSE I WAS SURE THIS WAS AN ”APRIL FOOLS DAY”  JOKE,  RIGHT?BECAUSE IT WAS FULL OF MISPELLED WORDS AND A JUMBLE OF LIES TRIPPING OVER PREVIOUS LIES.HE IS SO “FULL OF S___” I BET … HE SMELLS LIKE A SEWER! So you would probably not want me to LIE in my response RIGHT?….But [redacted] did! Will you allow that to stand? So here is the true story … in that he was not present for the repairs anything he utters is hearsay and not fact! As I reported to the [redacted] arbitrator: As I requested [redacted] returned the money he took from me when he left me with a damaged Spa, that was working except for the Pressure Switch code … prior to him removing the Controller then returning it in an un-working condition. No one else had the Controller in their possession except him … nothing else would work without it. When returned it on December 19th it no longer worked, and was spitting out sparks and shorting out, even the items that worked before he “FIXED IT” no longer worked! At my request, he paid a technician to come out and fix what was damaged; or disconnected wiring, and incorrect reinstall, it took them hours to get it back in working order. The Technician told me (and his bosses by phone) that the wiring was all messed up and it was improperly re-installed. Finally after hours of matching the wiring schematics  and re-testing every variable it started again without any other new  parts! But the Low End Motor had, in the meantime seized, probably from all the repeated electrical testing. I agreed to repair that motor and paid them $266.00 to install it, now it is again working. In reference to this Spa which cost $15,000.00 dollars being neglected, … that is because with the damage [redacted] caused meant it could not be used for almost 4 months while we argued the facts. Considering that all the other technicians I contacted after this happened & the manufacturer of the Controller … they all said the same thing HE SHOULD HAVE NEVER REMOVED THE CONTROLLER TO FIX A PRESSURE SWITCH! Which was right in plain view and reachable without removing the “Brains” of the spa.  Clearly it has been demonstrated by his actions … that his does not tell the truth and that he is NOT a Spa Technician but merely a pool cleaner. When the Register of Contractors contacted me recently to begin hearing for him operating without a license but showing that he was licensed on his advertising, he broke their rules  … I guess I could still pursue this with them but I do not want to waste anymore of my time, as a widow of 69 years young and trying to get recovered from a December surgery … I have to take care to avoid scoundrels who I may encounter not allowing them to “suck the life out of me” with petty stress inducing falsehoods. I only hope that anyone in the future who deals with this company does not suffer as long as I did before getting justice.

Review: He was referred to me by [redacted], who have not called back in a week. I have an agreement in writing which he signed. I needed a Pressure Switch replaces in the Controller box ([redacted]) he said he knew all about it on the phone. He came to my house with out any parts needed, then said he would have to take my entire (36x36 inch) electrical system with him to repair a switch? And said the part was $ 80.00 but he would not be charging me tax on it? Said he installed it, re-installed the unit and an electrical short was sparking in the door to the cabinet. He turned it off and blamed me, then leftDesired Settlement: He should have an electrician fix the short he caused working in the cabinet, no one else has ever opened that box. He had the box in his possession (to my disliking) he is not qualified to repair the spas electrical so he should have to pay someone that is! I also think he should give me back my money because he did not FIX the problem. He shorted out the system upon reinstall. Whoever he hires must be a qualified electrician and guarantee his own work.
