Review: We contracted with [redacted] owner of Healthy [redacted] to repair a pool (waterfall) pump, fix a pool light and repair a spa (that is leaking). We paid him upfront for the all of the work a total of $987.00 on May 29th. We were told that the waterfall pump and switch were defective and would need to be replaced. And he charged us for a hayward super 2 motor - which is not what he installed and according to [redacted] (as the label says) they haven't tagged their pumps for almost 10 years (so we aren't sure that it is even new). We also had to wait nearly one month for the switch to be installed and when it was he left the switch dangling from the wall (said the screw was stripped). He has not returned calls or texts in a timely fashion and said multiple days he would repair and then didn't. Finally June 25th he said that we needed to call an electrician as that was the problem. When we tried to discuss it with him he hung up on both my husband and I after yelling at each of us - and said he wouldn't return any further calls or emails from us ("He was done with us"). The electrician came out today June 26th and said that [redacted] installed the switch incorrectly and also that the switch is not good. The total cost for their work is $175.00. We are concerned that the pump might be a stolen product - we have asked him for a copy of the receipt which he wouldn't provide.Desired Settlement: We wish a refund of the amount we paid the electrician (that he told us we needed to hire) in the amount of $175. Also wish a refund of the spa work (which he didn't do and we have hired someone else who stated that it wasn't the light that was leaking - as [redacted] told me) - $95.00. We wish a refund of all installation costs for the switch including cost of switch - $210. And finally we wish a refund for the installation for a halogen light - he only had to plug in the light and when we questioned him about the added cost he said it was to clean the box to keep it from occurring in the future (all he did was sweep - it is still very dirty) - $85.00. Total refund $565.00

[redacted] retain my services on May 23 2013. In which I paid for the parts upfront because, the [redacted] where in Prescott. I purchase a motor from [redacted] which was $362.00. I also paid for other parts such as 6ft wire whip, Halogen light bulb, also the remote switch for the water fall. I had completed all my work before I was paid. Finally I received a full payment from Ms. [redacted] on May 29,2013. I had informed the [redacted]'s that the remote has been order on [redacted]. I emailed the work order to [redacted], that I received from [redacted] proving that it was ordered. Mr. [redacted] wanted a refund for the labor the labor that I had done. Pre our conversation on May 31 2013 at 3:50pm I said "sir I have looked at the everything and I know the cost for both invoices are correct. I explained in details of the work that was involved I could not make any adjustments. Mr. [redacted] stated " per our conversation that he understand and am ok with the cost." Theses statements are in my email also in text on my iphone.

Review: Hired this company to repair spa with new motor and pump. It was installed and appeared to be working. We noticed a leak and contacted [redacted] to come back and repair it. We then noticed that the filtering part of the motor/pump was working but the spa part of the motor was not working. Have contacted by e-mail and phone multiple times. Paid $200 for install and Mr. [redacted] offered $125. This will not cover the cost of having another person come out; take motor and pump out; and then reinstall. I am retired and cannot afford to pay what is essentially double for something that should have been done correctly in the first place or redone so that it works. After many excuses and more e-mails, I have had no response.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the $200 back so I can get the spa working again!

Review: Healthy Pools has not given me the original receipt for a pool pump he installed over 2 months ago. I have been unable to mail in the warranty for the pump since the original sales receipt was needed. An invoice was given to me, but in order to have warranty on the pump I must mail in the original receipt. I have made various attempts to contact [redacted], he refused to deal with me, my sister, homeowner and person who paid for the pump has also contacted him various times and we have gotten no response. His service was nothing short of terrible and just turned for the worse once he realized I was not going to stand for his unprofessionalism and bad work ethics. I had to drain the pool twice due to him not meeting the time given for the new pump to be installed. When he did come in and install, the work was unacceptable. Wires were left hanging out and even after I brought it to his attention he said it was ok. I ended up having to hire another professional company to come in and correct the mistakes. They were just as shocked when they came and after I told them Healthy Pools had been recommended by one of their stores, they made sure to call in and make sure the Company stopped any recommendations or association with Healthy Pools. Even they were shocked to find out we paid 1,850 for a new pump and install and the quality of work that was done. The pump was installed and it took over a week for [redacted] to come and calibrate it. After waiting I ended up having to call, I did not want to wait and risk having to empty the pool again. After the second draining there was dirt left on bottom of the pool and have a dark spot left. Sadly [redacted] told me he did not care about his rating with the Revdex.com. I waited hoping he would have a change of heart, but after this long to still not give a receipt is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to give me or my sister the original purchase receipt for the pump and I can attempt to mail in the receipt for a warranty.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. He has never provided the store information where he purchased the motor. I went to several [redacted] where he had stated he bought the pool, but the ones in this area had no record of [redacted] or Healthy pool purchasing the pump. I would not have come to you if I had the original receipts I am attaching emails he sent me as well as the invoice showing the pump was included. As well as he not wanting to work with me since I did not pay for the pump, my sister did. All he ever provided was an invoice. You may even speak with [redacted] or [redacted] at [redacted] both are and have been aware of the situation and even attempted checking into other [redacted] to help get an original receipt, but they did not find one. He is at the [redacted] located at Chandler Heights and Gilbert. His number is ###-###-####. As stated in the email I had a service person from [redacted] come and look over the pump. Even they were surprised at the terrible work done. So much that he called his manager to report that [redacted] was recommending [redacted] at their store and ask that they stop from doing so, after seeing his work.

I have called [redacted] pools and spoke with the manager [redacted] regarding the client receipt. I stated to [redacted] that [redacted] was inquiring the receipt for the VS pump. He then stated that he does have the invoice and that [redacted] can go and pick it up. Once again this client has continued to lie on Healthy Pools. All of [redacted] statements are false..... [redacted] can contact [redacted] to retrieve the invoice, in which [redacted] has it read for pick up. I will continue operating at an A grade level[redacted]OwnerHealthy Pools

Started off well and Joe (Owner) seemed nice and hard-working. Unfortunately he is a flake and doesn't complete his work or keep promises. We treated him like a friend, gave him several thousand dollars to do major work, and were then left hanging. I don't think the 'new' motor he put in was actually new, and there are pipes leaking that he worked on. I am usually a good judge of character and Joe had me fooled for a while. Very disappointed.

I hired Joseph for Healthy Pools, Chandler, AZ to replace the hot tub motor, pump and ozone unit. He charged me $1,600 for parts and 6 hours of labor. I feel that he took advantage of us. Be careful dealing with him, he is charming and will take of you as well.

Working with Healthy Pools has been nothing short of a nightmare. We hired [redacted] in November to install a waterfall and make some other changes. He said he thought everything could be done by Thanksgiving. Along the way, we added a few things, so Mr. [redacted] said we would be done by New Year. As of June 4, we are still waiting for our work to be finished. We have paid several thousands dollars in work that has not been done. We even got billed for pool maintenance when the pool was drained. Not exactly honest. Healthy Pools is happy to take your money, speak honeyed words, but if you actually want ANYTHING done (at least remotely on time and with a degree of quality), look elsewhere, please!

Review: I go to Leslie Pools and I asked for a pool service and Leslie recommended Healthy Pools once he came to the house he attended the pool but I had to pay more for the chemicals every other day ther was another problem !However a new problem occurred every single time he came he just came and asked for money or he would do a somewhat of a bad job causing another problem......About a week later I had visitors over and you couldn't even see the bottom of the pool!Healthy Pools ?Later we had to drain the pool to make the job easier !But we thought the problem would be resolved however he requires infloor cleaning system? What ?Why am I paying for a pool services person? The pool is filthy and there is cracks in the new plaster we had not put even a month ago there is sand at the bottom and tons of leaves it looks far from clean or healthy like he promised....He also doesn't bring a vaccum ,brush or fishing net which is highly inconvenient !We had just put a new filter but he literally wants us to do the work for him!I'm very disappointed about the man complaining for more money when he hasn't done anything to my pool and yet he threats to put a lean on the home whenever we had already been paid in advance..So in reality i'm throwing my money away for some service that is useless !Go check out the reviews for this company and steer clear because they are stealing our money from us and almost every single client has put a negative review !Desired Settlement: -Healthy Pool

-Non cracked plaster

On June 27 2014 [redacted] obtain healthy Pools service. [redacted] called me and stated that she is having problems keeping the pool clean. I told her that I charge a $100 for monthly services. We made appointment to meet at 7:00pm. As I observed [redacted] plaster pool, it looked very dirty, and cloudy. At the time it seemed that the pool was not being cleaned and filter properly. I proceeded to vacuum the pool manually. As I was vacuuming the sand and plaster was returning back to the pool through the returns. I then stop vacuuming. I stated to [redacted] that you have plaster and sand returning back to your pool. I explain that the laterals are broken. I would need to empty your sand filter. Sand filter service I stated I would charge her $300.00 plus cost of sand. [redacted] gave me the ok and paid me in full. When I opened the sand filter 3 quarters of the sand was gone. I took out the remainder of the sand, and discovered that the laterals were broken. At least 250 lbs of sand went into the pool. At this time I informed [redacted] that I would have to drain the pool. She then ok me to do so. When I arrived the next day the pool was filled with sand, plaster and also bricks that are not suppose to been in the pool. I did not charge [redacted] for drain because her husband [redacted] and their and the kids made it a family effort to clean it themselves. At this time [redacted] said he had his friend build his pool and filter. Therefore [redacted] was unable to retain a warranty for the equipment and pool. I then charged the [redacted] for the repair on the Hayward sand filter plus 8 new laterals. [redacted] made a partial payment. I returned the sand filter 100% repaired. I asked over and over again regarding the in floor cleaning system. She stated that she was told it was fine. I stated that you are required to have working infloor cleaning system working properly. Or a vacuum cleaner in. Just because I only service the pool once a week.

3 weeks later on July 9, I service [redacted] pool.

July 16, 2014 [redacted] texted me stating my pool is turning green. I immediately called [redacted] and communicated to her the the pool is not green. But rather you have to get a vacuum or fixing the in floor system. I gave her quotes for both vacuum and new pop up gears. Again I reinstated that it's required to have a cleaning system.

July 18, 2014 the day I service [redacted] pool I arrived at the pool and it was covered with dirt from one end to the other. [redacted] then meet me at the pool filter. He stated that the cleaning system is not working. So I proceeded to open the gear box. The gear box and the plumbing connected to the gears was full of sand. Also the gear box was jammed with sand. [redacted] ask me to find our how much the gears were I to told her I charge $85 to service plus parts which are $150. [redacted] said he would give me a call but never did.

July 19, 2014 I call [redacted] stated that I would like to return your gears. I didn't get a calk back from you or your husband. Please let me know when I can return gears. That morning I went to [redacted] pool and installed the original gears. As I finished installing the gears [redacted] became irate. Treating me with complaining to the Revdex.com and Yelp. I told [redacted] feel free to do so. I restated that I required my clients to have working system just like any other pool service. He then told me to leave his house. So I did.

I am very honest business.

Healthy Pools

Review: [redacted], with healthy pools, didn't acid wash the pool before painting it. He left his trash for me to dispose of and there were no acid jugs in the trash, only primer and paint cans, rollers, buckets etc. He charged me for an acid wash. The dome on the pool cleaner needed replaced, he only replaced the gears. His electrician put in a breaker that was too big, and the pool light still didn't work, had to have another electrician come in and replace the breaker and the wire and conduit to the light switch. He had gotten paint on the pool deck, and a patio chair, which is still on there he didn't clean up after himself. There are lumps of paint in the pool, like he painted over something in there. The heads of the cleaner in the pool have paint all over them, from the paint running into their slots. There was a tarp for him to use to cover the pool while the primer and paint were drying, he didn't use it and there are pieces of leaves in the paint, where they had fallen in while the paint was wet. The paint is starting to chip in places. He did a very poor job from the inspection of what needed to be done to the paint and the cleanup. I contacted [redacted], but he claims its not his fault.Desired Settlement: A refund of things that had to be redone $904.68, refund for the acid wash $320.00 and a cleanup fee of $200. A total of $1424.68.

Response:

[redacted] pool as you can see was in terrible condition. Per our conversation I had advised [redacted] that I would not dispose of the trash in the pool. Because the client didn't see any Muretic acid jug does not mean I didn't acid wash the pool. This client did not order enough primer nor paint. I meet with the client prior to being hired. I stated to the client that she did not have enough produce. She was incoherent to the information I was telling her. I also stated this through text messages. 1 week later she finally sends the rest of the primer and paint. Joseph G[redacted]OwnerHealthy Pools
