Brett V [redacted] of Heartland Home Mortgage really helped me out through thick and thin with my refinancing I had a really unusual situation that caused the whole process to take about months, but Brett really stuck to it and was very helpful in guiding me on what I needed to do and explaining all the options and events as we went along Very satisfied after it was all said and done

This was my experience with Heartland Home Mortgage, Mine was a refinance I had to combine a 1st and 2nd mortgage into one and also do a quit claim deed due to a divorceDave G [redacted] came right out to my house and collected all my paper work etcand went to workHis communication was great through the whole process, he was able to delivery everything he said he couldI was able to handle all the communications on line or on the phone never had to drive any where etcMy closing was done right at my house at a time that worked best for meI am a hard one to please and have high expectations , Dave and his team held up to my standards! I have had a number of mortgages over the past years and my experience with Heartland Home Mortgage and Jeff was certainly one of the best The whole process was easy and took less than days The terms were not changed on me at the last minute and when Jeff gave me my initial savings on my payment it turned out to be very accurate I highly recommend Heartland

We worked with Alex O [redacted] from Heartland Home Mortgage to re-write our Mortgage into a new VA Mortgage and got a great new rate! I Alex was thorough and knowledgeable about the market and the information I would need to pull together His experience and polite coaching were super helpful and took a lot of the stress out of something I thought would be difficult I would recommend Alex to anyone I know to get the best interest rate and a smooth process

I would not recommend Heartland Home Mortgage to anyoneThe loan officer assigned to us is simply looking for a quick buck and is not interested in doing any work to help you complete your mortgageWe originally went with him because he said he preferred the ability to work face-to-face with individualsWhen we received our appraisal back there were numerous mistakes on it and we asked him to look into itHe simply said it looked good, it was out of his control, and said there was nothing he could doWe asked him to come out to our house to discuss the issues we had with the appraisal and he refusedHe said he wasn't getting paid until our loan closed and made it clear he would invest no additional time into itWe had to write a letter to the bank/appraisal company, look for new comparables, and do all the work that he should have been doing as our loan officerWe would have been better off working directly with the bank or another mortgage companyWe detailed what happened to Heartland Mortgage and it was clear that they are a small company of good friends and were not interested in trying to resolve anything with usWe ended up canceling the application and not proceeding with a refinance because of this experience

At first Jon was great, returned phone calls and did everything that was expected of your Mortgage company I asked many times to get my rate locked and he said to wait and see if they drop Finally after numerous times asking he locked at a very good rate
After locking the rate Jon was harder to reachI would call his cell phone and it would be sent to voice mailI would call back to the office and he would answerMany times I asked if there was a problemThe only time he would call me back was Friday after 5:00PM It seemed he was avoiding me
Everything was complete on the application, per Jon, but we were waiting for the appraisal After weeks I called and again the return was Friday after 5:00pmJon stated that my home appraisal was lower than my estimate and after asking questions why he said he would look in to it but had to give me different a higher rate He promised to have the appraisal reviewed but never did what he said he would His advise was to sign at the new rate or not do anything
I went to a new mortgage company and didn't tell them anything but that I stopped a mortgage in process They gave me the same rate as Hartland and the appraisal was 37,higher than Hartland

I worked with Alex *** about year ago when I was in the home buying processAlex went above and beyond when it came to getting me financedHe was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout the whole processHe also helped me boost my credit score in just a few short months, and in the end he got me the lowest interest rate availableI would recommend Alex and Heartland Home Mortgage to anyone looking to purchase a home

We worked with Alex, he was a great loan officer We did a cash out refinance and I got the exact rate he told me he would give me Everything went smooth for the most part and I would recommend this company and this loan officer to other people

Heartland did a great job getting us the mortgage we needed however the loan officer we dealt with was very inexpieriencedHe presented us with documents with assumed numbers and expected us to sign themHe sent blank documents for us to sign and he would fill them in laterThis was because of his deadlines and he had forgotten them earlierHe advised that he did not need financial documents we had prepared for him only to later scramble to get the same documents while we were on vacation, disrupting our timeThe disclosure statements were wrong and he told us to just sign them because it really didn't matterWe didn't sign them until the title company corrected the mistakes the following weekFinally, I was asked to sign a document that he "forgot about" todayI was instructed to date my signature 5/11/when today is 6/9/
Although we appreciate all that Heartland did for us we would not use them again based only on the inexperience of the loan officer we dealt with,

My wife and I are self employed farmers and we selected Heartland Mortgage And we are glad we did especially dealing with Alex O***He was insightful, very personal and down to earth helpful representative of Heartland MortgageHe made the experience of getting our mortgage wrapped up in a timely manner since my wife and I are very busy peopleI wante to personally thank Alex for his hard work
