I don't know where to begin to explain what a pleasant experience it was to work with Heritage Roofing and Construction. From the receptionist, Gail, that explained the process to me, Darryl that came to do the estimate, Tanya that ordered the materials, Tanya also kept me informed about each step of the process...from pulling the permit, scheduling the project and so much more. Derrick provided supervision and even brought additional supplies right away when the crew needed them. I could not believe how seamless they all made the process. The crew worked through some rain and until dark the first day and finished it the next day. They made sure our bushes and air conditioning system were covered. The clean up was done so well no one would know they had ever been there. Thank you all for your timely, diligent work. Now we can have peace of mind that our home will be safer during storms.

I am a property manager and hired this company to replace a roof on one of my properties. We received an estimate and decided to use them. We paid them half of the money and they started the work. We were told after the first day that more plywood would be needed and so we paid an additional 1500.00. which was understood and in the contract. When work was completed, they called for final payment and we were told that we needed to pay them an additional 5400.00 because there was 2 layers of roof that needed to be taken off. On the initial contract it stated" remove the existing roof". They back dated the paperwork to prior to work even being started. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Very shady and not honest!!! I will be telling everyone about them!!!They lie, cheat and steal!!!

Paid in full per the contract. Now wants more money 4 years later.
Had my roof inspected by a employee of heritage roofing company . He said I needed a new roof. Contacted my insurance company and they sent out a inspector and he agreed. Then pricing and scheduling was discussed. Proceeded to have the job done . Gave them the first check from my insurance company. When they finished the job paid them the second insurance check and my part of the deductible. Thought we was all done. Then years later they contact me and say I owe them one of the amounts of the insurance company checks and said they never received it. Well I contacted my insurance company and they sent me a copy of the cashed check from the roofing company. Now 4 years later I get a email with a totally different amount that they say I owe. This is a terrible company and I would not recommend them to anyone. Very poor business people.

Desired Outcome

To have them get their paperwork in order and stop bothering customers that have already fulfilled their bill.

This is at the attorny's, No further comunication will be from us.
Thanks

It was a pleasure dealing with Dave with Heritage Construction & Roofing! He was flexible with scheduling to meet with me and did a fantastic job of explaining the product and the process. They exceeded my expectations by having my roof completed 4 days before it was even supposed to begin! They communicated with me through the whole installation of the roof. Thank you Dave and Tanya!

Heritage Construction & Roofing Response • Jan 22, 2020

Katie,
It was our pleasure working with you on your home improvement project. We know this was a big expense and the trust factor is huge when selecting a company . I am happy to hear that Heritage exceeded your expectations. We look forward to working with you again on any future project you may have on your home . We are here to help you to make the experience easy and helpful in anyway possible.

Tanya & Dave :)

David *** quoted one total for our roof repairs. They are trying to get more money from us that is not theirs.
David *** quoted us on 9//22/17 that our roof total would be 7066.34 we still have that email. We have paid 8566.34 they said they were entitled to 1500 overhead and profit eventhough USAA states they are not since the roof was only one trade. They are now wanting an additional 2447.82 for repairs done two years ago. Heritage believes they are entitled to the whole insurance check from the hurricane Irma claim, but they did not repair the drywall or floors in our home, only the roof. They never sent an invoice. They never contacted us in almost two years until after we sold that home in March 2019. We have tried to speak to Margarita with Heritage but she shuts us down. Sara from Heritage called us and we sent her documents in May but she also has not contacted us back. We paid the amount that was quoted to us from David *** 9/22/17. They are not threatening us with legal action if we do not pay. We have more emails and documents available upon request. During the roof project they also did not tarp the roof after they took it off. We had water spots on our bedroom ceiling. They had to come in and fix what they had ruined. During the process of painting the ceiling they damaged my nightstand. They also knocked off part of the soffit during the process and claim they wanted the money to fix that even though their crew caused that damage.

Desired Outcome

We are looking for them to drop the request for the 2447.67 and give us a final bill stating paid in full.

Heritage Construction & Roofing Response • Oct 02, 2019

Heritage is still owed money on the roof portion of the claim from the insurance Company. To our knowledge David never quoted a price for your roof. The cost of the roof is based on the scoop of work done. Heritage submitted a final cost to your insurance company at the end of the project for the balance that the Insurance company owed Heritage for which we have not been paid. The Insurance company told Heritage that they sent you the final check with was supposed to be paid to the contractor.
Heritage has not been paid for the wood that was put on your house to replace the rotten wood. Heritage has tried a number of attempts to contact to you to take care of any issues and we have had no response. Heritage will be more than happy to come out and address any concerns you have

This business was paid by myself and my insurance company to replace my roof and to replace and fix other items in my home.
I signed a contract on 9/19/2017 to have my roof replaced, the ceiling fixed, replace the baseboards, the screen for all the 17 windows and tarp. The contract was signed by Larry *** his number is (305)***. I gave them a check for $4,000k and they have received payment of approx $17,000k from my homeowners insurance company, GeoVera.
They have now completed the roof and ceiling. Their initial replacing of the roof failed the first inspection. However, the baseboards and window screens have not been repaired and or replaced. They want the balance to be paid before the work is completed and are leaving me threatening messages, of placing a lien on my home, foreclosure. I want the work completed. It's almost 2 years since I signed the contract. I have had so much stress and anguish in this matter.

Desired Outcome

I just want the job completed to my satisfaction. I want the company to finish the service in a honest fair and respectable manner.

Heritage Construction & Roofing Response • Aug 27, 2019

Dear Graciete *** , I know that this process can be frustrating. Please understand we were are at as the contractor, we complete the scope of work that the insurance has approved. Unfortunately they only approved 4 screens. of the 17 you are asking for & they did not cover any baseboards and we can only complete what is covered by the insurance company. We are more than happy to assist on trying to get the others approved just understand that this is your insurance company & you are their direct client, this helps in getting things moving along much smoother. With that being said we have completed all work listed on the original scope of work . If you need a copy of your insurance loss statement please advise.
Thank you

See attachment Revdex.com:
Heritage Construction and Roofing has your symbol on their website so I am hoping you can help get them to respond to
my inquiry. Here is the situation:
Heritage replaced my roof around May, 2017. I sent them a check for the remainder of their bill, which cleared my bank
June 8, 2017.
On November 15, 2018 I received a letter from Margarita *** stating I owed Heritage $7,729.03.
I responded to Margarita *** on November 18, requesting an itemized bill, saying I would talk to the insurance adjuster. I
pointed out this issue was quite a while ago and I would have to search my records to see if Heritage had cashed my check. I
have since searched my records and indeed the check was cashed. During the process of having the roof replaced I learned I
could not trust what people from Heritage said. The whole experience had the feel of 'scam' about it. But, I kept an open
mind waiting on them to send the bill.
By November 27, 2018 I had not heard back from Margarita *** so I sent her another letter.
No response.
On December 3, 2018 I sent a certified letter to the owner of Heritage re-requesting the information. I received delivery
confirmation back. I said in the letter that if I did not hear back by December 14, I would conclude that there was no issue
and Margarita simply had not had the courtesy to let me know she discovered her mistake.
No response.
However, this year I received a letter from my insurance company that Heritage was telling them they were owed money.
I have already invested the money to send a certified letter, to no avail. So I am hoping that the Revdex.com can get the owner of
Heritage to send me the hill I have requested, and should I have any other questions after) receive the bill and talk to my
insurance company, to get them to respond to any letters I send with any new questions that arise as well.
I have copies of all the letters, the certified mail receipt and green card and can send if needed. But, at this point I don't see
the need for the Revdex.com to get involved in whether Heritage is trying to overcharge. Hopefully once) get the bill and discuss
with my insurance company this can be resolved. Ridiculously enough, at this point what I need the Revdex.com to help with is to
get Heritage to answer my letters (my address is above) and send me a copy of what they consider their final itemized bill to
see why there is a discrepancy. It is a bad indicator that a company can go a year and half before letting you know they think
you owe them money. It is also a bad indicator that one can't get a response from them after 3 letters, one of them sent
certified!

Heritage Construction & Roofing Response • Sep 17, 2019

Marian, my company would like to get the final supplement check from the insurance company, if that was sent to you it needs to be handed over to Heritage as stated in the contract if you have not yet received this check then we need to be aware of this. We have called and left messages on 6 different ocasions you have tetured none of them, Our Attorny will cotinue pursuing both until we get the right culpret.
I would like to assure you their is nothing shady or underhanded about my company and if you keep alluding to this ridiculous statement then we will have another road to go down on a personal level. we take the integrity of our company very seriously and will not tolerate assumptions by individuals that owe money. if you wish to handel this in a curtious manner please return the calls, made to work this out. 407-

Customer Response • Oct 02, 2019

Perhaps from their response you can see why I am frustrated with this business. My request was that they send
me an itemized bill for the roof repair. Nowhere in their response is there any mention of the itemized bill. It
doesn't say they will be sending the itemized bill; it doesn't say they refuse to send an itemized bill. Zero words
address this.
Dates of letters requesting an itemized bill: 11/18/2018, 11/27/2018, 12/03/2018 (certied), 08/04/2019. All ignored.

I received an 8/1/2019 response to my 6/21/2019 letter once you, the Revdex.com, started assisting me. In that response,
Heritage finally admitted that the amount in question is a fraction of what they tried to get me to send to them
back in November of 2018, and that is progress. But, that response did not contain an itemized bill for the entire
roof repair.
In my 8/4/2019 response to their 8/1/2019 letter I stated:
"As I said back on November 18, 2018, send inc an itemized bill and I will get with my insurance company and
figure this situation out. If it is determined that you are entitled to more payment you will receive it. "
So, there has never been an issue whether Heritage would receive more money if it turns out it is due; it is an
issue of them ignoring my requests for an itemized bill so I could determine whether it is due. In the 8/4 letter I
also asked for them to tell me the amounts and dates of checks they had received.
Addressing their deection of the issue in their last paragraph, I have not asked Heritage to "handle (sic) this in a
courteous (sic) manner" - I have asked them to send me an itemized bill. I have been courteous in all my
correspondence to Heritage. Asking questions Heritage may not want to answer does not equal being discourteous.
Heritage states "their (sic) is nothing shady or underhanded about my company and if you 'keep' alluding to
this and then makes a threat to go after me personally. In my rst submission, by way of explanation, I stated
to you my impressions and how I felt. I assume there was nothing wrong with this or you would not have
included it, and people can judge for themselves if they would wonder the same thing if dealing with the
described situation. My second response only addressed me not receiving a reply up to that point. The word
"keep" connotes doing something on a continuing basis, so this accusation makes no sense.
"Shady" and "underhanded" are Heritage's words, not mine. I didn't even go into the other problems with
Heritage or points I raised that got ignored, such as problems with the removal of solar panels. Rather than
pointing out all of the negatives of my experience with Heritage, I have simply been pursuing them sending me
an itemized bill.
Ironically, Heritage has now cast baseless aspersions on me rather than accommodating a simple customer request
for an itemized bill.
Heritage, please send me an itemized bill so we can get this issue resolved.
Company response was not satisfactory.

Customer Response • Oct 25, 2019

10/13/2019
It has taken from my first letter in November of 2018 until October of 2019, including getting the Revdex.com
involved, for Heritage to finally tell me that they refuse to send me an itemized bill. If I am reading
their response correctly, this is not because they do not have an itemized bill, which they could easily
have sent me. It is because the law doesn't require them to since somewhere in the fine print of their
contract I signed away that right. Instead they insist that I must give up a day driving to and from their
office to view an itemized bill. At least we now have that on the record and can move beyond that
bottleneck.
Since the Revdex.com has been involved Heritage has now given me 3 different amounts that I owe them.
Despite what they say in their latest response, the final amount has not always been the same and the
documents show this. In a letter dated Nov 9, 2018 Heritage told me it had not received payment in
the amount of 7,729.03. There was no mention of 2776.98. In its July 2019 letter it told me I owed
1501.03. Again, no mention of 2776.98. Now they are saying 2776.98 for the first time.
As a refresher to Heritage (I explained this in my Nov 18 letter, to which they did not respond), this
mix-up wouldn't have happened if they hadn't been pestering me to pay them the remainder on the job
before I received the insurance check. I paid them the remainder based on the bill they had given me. I
wrote remainder' on the check. I sent them correspondence letting them know I had sent them the
remainder for the job. So it was clear what I thought and had they contacted me at that point and said
there was a deficit we could have dealt with it way back in 2017.
When the insurance check came I deposited it knowing Heritage had been paid in full (or so I thought).
As they know the job was delayed and had dragged on due to situations on their side. There was the
period neither their office nor their contact person was responding to my calls. I was told that was
because the contact person left the company. I have since heard from the neighborhood grapevine that
one person was told the same thing but when they went to their office the person that had supposedly
quit was right there in the office. Maybe my contact person really did quit, I don't know. When the
insurance check came I did not realize there was a difference in the bill Heritage had sent me and what
they sent the insurance company.
I received their November 9 letter on November 15, 2018, and responded to it on November 18. It was
an imposition due to the amount of time that had gone by, but I made it clear I was open to settling
things. I simply requested an itemized bill and said I would get together with the insurance company to
get it straightened out. That seemed to me to be the logical place to start.
After sending the letter to them I left a message for the insurance adjuster alerting him that I had
written to Heritage requesting the itemized bill and I would get back to him once I received it so we
could figure out the situation. I was fully prepared to either pay Heritage money if it was due or return
money to the insurance company if that was due. So, I am not worried about any felony charges.
I have been trying since that time to get the bill from Heritage, including a registered letter sent with
return receipt requested, that was signed as being received, and as you have seen they have just been
ignoring my requests. I do not think it is reasonable for a company to expect you to pay close to
$8,000, just on their demand, knowing that unless your check was lost in the mail or someone else
cashed your check, that number was either a mistake or an attempt at fraud. And indeed it has turned

They are a scam artist they had me sign a from saying they would put on the roof all I have to pay is the deductible. Then I ask for their quote they said they use the insurance estimates. The insurance had two estimates done, work was done nice job gave them the last check business completed. A year later I get a call from them saying I owe 5000 more. I told them our business is done. And they are threatening me with insurance fraud. Scammers. Company owed buy James T Welding contractors License ***5.

Heritage Construction & Roofing Response • May 29, 2019

Mr H as you are aware that tower hill has not yet paid the balance of 4733.82 balance of roof, not your responsibility
But you have not paid your deductible of 500 dollars or a 75 dollar wood bill still owed, your resposibility admitted in your statement.
the total is 5308.82 still owing our company
You Owe 575.00 past due , as far as scam artist you seem to be the one thats pritty good at scamming people
if you do not remove this hatefull review immidiately by end of day friday 5/30/19 I will turn this over to my attorneys
that handel insurance fraud !!!

Customer Response • Jun 01, 2019

Once again Danny C your representative stated you do not give out quotes. You use the insurance estimates which was 12 thousand and change. You were paid that amount. Also Danny stated first sheet of plywood was free, anything more than that we go back to the insurance and make them aware. I owe you 500 dollars if you send me a statement that my bill is paid in full except for 500 deductible I will pay you the last 500 dollars.

Heritage Construction & Roofing Response • Jun 03, 2019

Mr H, we do use the insurances quote but not if its way under bid like most insurance companys they are out to make money off the contractors like everyone eles, I can however collect your deductable and the wood bill I will consume and we will be all collected on your part 500.00 thank you for your kind regardes in this respect and removal of review.

Excellent company to work with including fighting insurance company and helping me find a claims adjuster who got me the new roof. B. M and Lisa helped me through the whole process. Good communication from permitting, getting started, dumpster arrival, finishing the roof, solar being reinstalled, etc. They never promised anything they couldn't make happen. Good supervision of the job and clean up afterward. Rapid return of phone calls.

I was very happy with Heritage ! They were always professional. Brent M was the Lead Manager; Professional and dedicated to his job. Thanks again for everything Heritage!

This is a great company to work with. They are honest and upfront about every aspect of the restoration. Brent is very knowledgeable which made my decision to work with Heritage very easy.

Their collections department claims I owe them money for the new roof they put on my house, even though they have been paid the agreed to amount.
I called Heritage construction because our neighbor had used them to replace their storm damaged roof. the neighbor said it was great because they used the cost that the insurance company used as the cost for the job. When Heritage's representative, David O, came to my home on 1/23/2018, I asked how this works, He said that Heritage works with the insurance company to agree on the cost of the roof replacement. I signed a contract to this affect. I also paid an "initial payment" (the wording on the receipt) of $4,000.00 (check #3237 See DP Receipt attachment)

The initial Insurance company estimate Dated 10/27/2017 for the roof replacement was $14,168.21 (See Initial estimate attachment)

Heritage sent the insurance company a supplemental claim in the amount of $18,570.52. (see Heritage Supplemental attachment) The adjuster/estimator from the insurance company and I talked on the phone. He and told me that he would talk to the Heritage and revise the claim if justified. Shortly after this conversation, the insurance company sent me a revised claim document that had adjusted the roof replacement cost to $15,921.04. (see Final Claim Attachment). The items in bold are the additions to the claim from the supplement.

As per my contract with Heritage this is the amount, negotiated by Heritage with the insurance company, Heritage agreed to for the roof replacement.
This is the amount I paid:
Down payment, $4,000.00
Check #3194, $11,921.04
Total, $15,921.04
When we sold our house In early May 2018 the title company received a "Contractors Final Affidavit and Release of Lien" (see Final Affidavit attachment) stating that Heritage had done the work and I had paid the bill in full.
In November 2018. I recieved a call from Heritage's collections department, a subsequent e-mail from them stated:
"We received both payment, the $4,000.00 down payment went towards your $ 6,300.00 deductible
Which leaves a balance of $2,300.00 that's still outstanding"
The $4000 was not a "down payment went towards" my deductable. it was a "initial payment" (the wording on the receipt).
I have paid the agreed amount for the work done.
I recieved a Contractors Final Affidavit and Release of Lien that has been Filed with the county government.
I do not Owe Heritage construction any more money.

Desired Outcome

I would like a final Invoice/Statement showing that the job has been paid in full.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Thank you, I amp pleased, however, I Would still like a copy of an invoice or statement that shows the total amount and that is was paid in full, for my records.

I would highly recommend this comany. They replaced my roof and fixed the damage to the ceiling inside the house. They covered all the furniture with plastic to minimize the dirt and dust from the repairs. They cleaned everything up when they were finished. They came when they said the would and finished in the time promised aswell. They have excellent rating in my book and I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Service not billed properly to insurance. Put lean on our house and incorrectly collected money.
Heritage Construction was contracted to replace a roof at our home at ***. They had sought us out after replacing a roof for a neighbor due to wind damage. I signed an agreement with Heritage that insurance would pay the full cost of the roof minus our deductible. There assurance that it would be covered by insurance was the ONLY reason we chose to replace the roof.

The roof had been completed and to our knowledge all payment was resolved (including us paying our deductible). Several months later, we sold out home. To our surprise, Heritage placed a lean on our house for over $3,000 which was taken at closing.

On August 15, I made contact with Lisa L at Heritage and even placed her on a three-way call with my insurance company. The insurance company had not received proper documentation indicating that more was due from them. To their knowledge, Heritage was fully paid. Moreover, they disputed the amount of materials that Heritage claimed were used as it didn't align with a birdseye view of the house. The insurance company provided Lisa with all the details about what they paid and what they questioned. Despite multiple follow up efforts, Lisa failed to respond to the insurance company and provide information about what else was due and documentation to support that. As insurance pointed out, the original quote and what was billed to them varied drastically.

Due to Lisa's lack of response, I was put in touch with Gail on October 31. I provided Gail with the documents that insurance had originally provided to Lisa. She promised to have a audit completed in the next two weeks. After three weeks, I followed up via email and phone with no response. I again followed up on December 7 and spoke with Gail.

Gail confirmed that the $3,000 was due from insurance, not me, and that insurance owed more beyond that due to the fees abovd what was previously submitted to them. She indicated the insurance would have to refund me even though it was Heritage who incorrectly collected money from me. Gail indicated that Heritage would contact insurance to resolve it, but was unwilling to provide any sort of timeline when that would happen. As this as been going on since August, I have little faith that Heritage will resolve this in a timely manner.

As it stands, Heritage essentially stole $3,000 from me as it should never have been collected. This was due to Heritage failing to provide proper billing documentation to insurance and placing a lean on our house when the money wasn't due from us.

Desired Outcome

I would like Heritage to cut me a check for amount that they incorrectly took from us. They need to resolve it with insurance directly to collect their payment. Their claim and the agreement that I signed with them that it would be collected from insurance was basically a sham.

We have currently sent this claim to an attorney, we are assisting in getting the homeowner her money back. She had to pay it at the time of closing but we are still going after the insurance to compensate the homeowner the amount she has paid. Once we collect the funds from the insurance company the homeowner will get compensated.

Thank you

Heritage Constructions has done nothing but lie thus far. They said that they are working with insurance to collect the money even though it was they who incorrectly collected money from me -- in violation of the agreement I signed with them.

I spoke with my insurance company. Heritage has done NOTHING to follow up with them or produce additional documentation on why insurance owed additional money since January -- and at that time it was in relation to the many calls/complaints I made with them.

THIS ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED.

Heritage Construction & Roofing Response • May 07, 2019

Dear homeowner, the last correspondence I had with your insurance company was on 4-3-19 in which you were copied on the email chain. We are still in communication with the IC to get this resolved. From the last email it appears your policy may not have law & ordinance coverage which covers all code items, you may want to reach out to your IC and confirm.

The experience was great Brent M was incredible he took time to explain to me how they would do the job and they did everything fast, organize and clean. I recommend these company.

Very happy with work preformed on both roofs, had issues, brad one of there supervisors came out and got all issues fixed, great company, will refer to other friends for more business, very customer service oriented. A+++

Heritage Roofing is trying to collect part of my deductible they are not entitled to. I have already paid another roofing company this money.
Heritage Roofing is trying to collect $950.00 of my deductible that I have already paid to another roofing company to do a temporary repair prior to Heritage getting involved with this claim. I have provided them with my receipt numerous times and copied the insurance worksheet where it shows it was covered under the same claim. They are not entitled to this money for work they did not do. Their VP of sales argued with me and was very rude when I brought it to his attention that he was here when I called the insurance company and re-opened this claim, he was here and saw the repair, he heard the claims adjuster say it would be included under this claim and in the worksheet, which it is as a temporary repair. The VP of sales told me it doesn't matter I still have to pay it. The office staff continues to harass me for this money. This has been going on for months. I have paid my portion of my deductible and paid for the wood right away and then I continue to get harassed for money they are not even entitled to! Very poor customer service and business management.

Desired Outcome

I want my receipt stating that my account is paid in full along with my warranty. I have requested this numerous times and to date I have not received it.

Heritage Construction & Roofing Response • Oct 22, 2018

I don't understand why you would think paying*** to repair your roof because of an active leak in September 9-29-17 would have anything to do with an insurance claim filed in November 11-13-2017, We have sent you the paperwork showing that the insurance company did not pay us for a repair that someone else did.
Your deductible is based off your claim made on November 13, 2017 explanation Attached.

Customer Response • Oct 25, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Sir, See attached paper work that I have provided to your company numerous times. This claim was NOT opened by Heritage first off all. I opened this claim on 9/11/17 myself, that is the date of loss on the insurance paper work I had damage from the hurricane that had to be repaired to stop further damage. I had no intentions of replacing my roof at that time, I opened my claim not knowing how much my repairs were going to cost. I closed this claim after I completed my repairs. Brent M. came soliciting to my door on 11/13/17. He was at my home when I called the insurance company and RE-OPENED this claim. He did not make the phone call, I did. He knew I had already opened a claim and saw the repairs! If you look at the attached worksheet from the insurance company it has the date of loss as 9/11/17. Also if you look at the worksheet on page 6, 7, and 8 these temporary repairs are covered under this claim. You have no right to ask me to pay you an additional $950.00 when you did not do these repairs that were covered under this claim! This $950.00 is a part I paid and that is considered a part of my deductible. I work for an insurance company and have also spoke with an attorney about this issue and common sense tells how insurance works! When your employee Brent M. tried to tell me I had to pay my full $3560.00 deductible and I reminded him of my repairs, he stated it did not matter I have to pay the full deductible and then insinuates I am calling him a liar when I bring it to his attention that I have already paid towards my deductible I don't deal with people like that! I requested a new representative from your company to be assigned to my account. Jeromy came to my home and sat down with my husband and I and went over my receipts and worksheets and figured what I owe towards my deductible. Which was $1036.16, my husband hand delivered this check to your office. Jeromy also at that time informed us that Brent M. was new and did not know he should have deducted that part and all the interior work which your company was not contracted to do. It was quite obvious Brent M. was new because he did not have a business card and quite frankly seemed confused about the process! And like I told your former employee Jeromy I don't have a problem with that but his customer service tactics is not how I want to be treated as a customer!
I will let you know I was very impressed with the crew that did the work, they were polite and did an excellent job! I have no complaints with the outcome of the job!
So, no I do not agree with your response and again I am requesting a receipt from your company that my account is paid in full and any warranty information I need for my shingles. This is how I keep my records and there should not be an issue providing a customer with a paid in full receipt and the warranty information.

Heritage Construction & Roofing Response • Nov 14, 2018

customer owes deductable for claim #*** from ***, no were on the insurance claim does it state a repair to be done first. We will be happy to have the insurance company call her to educate her on why she owes her deductable.

Customer Response • Nov 19, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Your last response you indicated the claim was filed on 11/13/17, and why would I think a repair from 9/29/17 would be covered. Well as I indicated before the claim was filed by me on 9/11/17 like it clearly states on the insurance paperwork the date of loss 9/11/17. Now in your second response you indicate no where on the insurance paper work does it state a repair to be "done first". I opened the claim on 9/11/17 and the repair was done on 9/29/17, it was done after I opened the claim. The field adjuster made it clear that the repair would be covered under this claim. And the $950.00 temporary repair is clearly covered and documented on PAGE 7 of the insurance paper work under this same Claim #***. You were paid for this repair that you did not do. I have confirmed with *** this temporary repair was covered and payment for this repair was issued to you in the first check you received. I provided you with my receipt in April like I was instructed to by *** for you to deduct towards my deductible since you did not do this work that was covered and you were paid for it. It clearly states the temporary repair was covered. Now I am asking you again to please provide me with my receipt.

Great company with exceptional customer service. They are easy to work with and communicate with you every step of the way. I highly recommend Heritage Construction. Todd, Joe and Brad are always there to help and answer any questions throughout the process.

This company is excellent. The rep Brent M provided exceptional service Fm start he helped with insurance claim & while work was in progress checked to. see if it was going well. After job was done he followed up. The roofing crew was professional and ensured the job was done right and did a walk thru upon completion. Overall a great company

Thanks For the nice review, if you ever need anything give us a call .

Thanks Again

Former employee Mr. T left he company and NO ONE from the COMPANY contacted us to notify us of his departure and unfinished business.
Heritage Roofing and Construction
August 2017 New Roof
Lake county permit *** issued 8//15/2017
Company representative Marcos T
1st payment given to company to start the work.

Mr. T left the company NO one notified us of his departure. We found out that the inspection was never scheduled and Heritage did not submit for final payment from insurance company.
Heritage is not helpful in expediting the paperwork and inspection and causing us to jeopardize our loan.
The employees are difficult to work with and he owner never responded to my email.

Desired Outcome

Last year my husband and I decided to contract Heritage Roofing and Construction to do our roof. We even went against our own insurance company recommendation. Mr. T employee of Heritage was in charge of ensuring all document and work be completed professionally and have an inspector come out to inspect he roof to finalize the contract. The reason we found out that Heritage failed to notify us and not complete the job was because we sought for an equity loan form our bank. Heritage is disorganized and its customer is terrible they never have an answer. Heritage is causing emotional and financial distress. Heritage company does not care about its customers. I am legally blind and my husband is disabled first responded and we are treated awful. Its amazing Heritage never submitted final claim to our insurance and never had the house inspected. What type of a business does this?

Heritage Construction & Roofing Response • Aug 02, 2018

Your reasoning on that we never complete the job because your getting a home equity line and we never called you is unfounded, how would we know that your trying to get a home equity line, your job was finialed from the county on 9/14/17 but you never paid your balance owed.
you haven't complained about anything being undone until we sent your file to collections we are trying to get paid. once we do we will Release the lien.
Docs provide.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The proper way to address a customer is to:
1. ***, Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience or distress this might have caused you.
2. The Bank loan was requested this year, we were made aware because the paperwork was not signed by your company.
3. Mr. T and the crew did a wonderful job with my roof exceptional customer service. The failure is on behalf of the management and ownership.
4. The proper way would have been contacted once Mr. T was no longer your employee. Check Mr. T work foe any loose ends. It would have been nice that someone would have called as a courtesy to inform the customer that Mr. T no longer worked for the company and ask the customer is there anything the company can follow up.
5. You did not finish our contractual agreement.
A. we did not have the Certificate of Occupancy paperwork. My husband had to investigate to get a copy because your employee was giving us the run around.
6. You never filed the final claims to my insurance company for 1 Year to get paid.
Our Loan officer told us that you declined to sign the banks paperwork.
7. Think about it not getting paid for 1 whole year.
8> I need my situation to be expedited quickly because of lack of follow up now we are the ones paying for t. We need our loan and I want to complete our contract pay you in full and move on with my life.
10. I now understand why your employees are the way they are because they are mirroring a behavior that is not business friendly, gives the impression of being disorganized, inability to accept responsibility and no desire to make the customer feel part of positive experience.
11. Customer Service is crucial to the success of any business.
12. Lets move forward please submit necessary paperwork to my insurance so we can pay you.
13. We need you to sign and complete the banks paperwork so we can receive our loan, you are holding us up.
Best

The deductible is not $1000 it is $800. This was matched based on the other company suggested by the insurance company, the 20% match because we chose Heritage to do the work. Please review your paperwork.
I will send the $800 once the insurance company sends the check to us endorsed to you for final payment.

Heritage Construction & Roofing Response • Aug 07, 2018

Your deductible would of been 800 if you would of paid it before the project started. your insurance company offered you a 20% Discount if you paid it. but as of now a year later its 1000 no discount is offered for none payment.

you can press this issue and we will collect the interest as well 180.00 for a total of 1180.00
or you can call in and pay your deductible by CC with this one time offer of 1000.00
407-366-6000 ask for Gail,
you can seek the discount with your insurance company.
