We signed a contract August 10 with Herrmann Bros to build a sun room. They have done nothing to date and they have ignored our requests for a refund.
On August 10 we signed a contract for Herrmann Brothers to build a sunroom on our house for a price of $41,000. They were to prepare the drawings and engineering and secure a building permit. We gave them an initial deposit of $8,200 (check *** and cashed on 8/13) according to the contract. On December 17 we received the following communication in an email - "Good morning Mr. and Mr., this is the follow up email to my conversation to Mr. today, we were able to expeditated your permit in the building department and it has been approved, we will be sending our permit runner to the building department this week to pickup your permit." NO SUCH PERMIT has been approved nor has arrived. Additionally they said - "Mr. I was looking over your contract and I see that you have a material payment that is due in the amount of $20,500.00 once I receive your material payment I can release your material and we can get you on the schedule for the New Year." The payment was made via check *** on 12/20/18. NO MATERIALS HAVE APPEARED. We were given the following approximate dates for the work to begin and I quote - "Concrete- The week of February 25, 2019 Installation - The week of March 25, 2019" NOBODY SHOWED UP. After numerous emails and phone calls, I showed up unannounced at the office on March 5 and asked for the money back, but that I was willing to compensate them for their time spent. *** told me it would take a week to "rearrange things" and that I would receive my money back. Several days later their salesman called me and begged to continue with the project because there was a problem with the permit. I relented and gave them the 30 more days they requested. When that time expired on April 6 I asked for the money back via email. I have called but their phone says the mailbox is full. The phone number of the salesman is now some mortgage company. Our neighbors next door, senior citizens like we are, are having them install a small porch addition and they likewise have been having a nightmare (I am worried for the one sister's health through all of this) and they have a partially standing shell after 9 months. I have more documentation if needed.

Desired Outcome

We want the refund of $28,700 less $2,000 we are willing to let them keep for their time. This is retirement for us.

We got the whole sunroom from Herrmann Brothers added on to the house. The sales reps were really good. They talked to us about every step and how much it would cost to do the sunroom. If we asked them about anything, they sat down with us and talked to us about everything that what was gonna go on with the product. We wanted to go with them since the price was decent and we wanted to get the sunroom as soon as possible because we had the kids we were adopting. It also worked out very well with the contractor. I was home at the time and I watched every step that they did. The quality of the work they did was good. I will recommend Herrmann Brothers to people if they wanna have a sunroom added on.

Our application for our home addition was filed on 11/14/2016. It is March 2019 and our job is still not fully done. Contractor will not answer calls
We signed our contract with the company in August of 2016. Building did not commence until June of 2017.

Our application for our home addition was filed on 11/14/2016. It is March 2019 and our job is still not fully done. Contractor stopped answering our calls and has not returned our calls for two months. They have strung us along for years. You can see the full report on our permit number: B-XXXX-XXXXXX-XXXX. We have been prompt with all of our payments, but they took very long to actually do the work. They blamed weather, the county, and everyone but themselves. At this point, we just need an insulation report and it will pass *** but nothing has been done to find this report in six months.

Desired Outcome

We would like for the company to fulfill their obligations and give the county all of the reports they need in order to pass *** final inspection.

There's not a lot of reputable company that builds sunroom around FL, but theses are one of the few ones left. They do the whole thing; design, permitting, building, electrical, drywall, and roofing. Worked with them on the initial drawings and specs. They accommodated all my request for outlets placements and installed ceiling fans along with skylights, which turned out great. Had a small issue with the roof leaking and they were quick to return and resolve it. They kept the workplace clean and tidy everyday and was always in communication with us. Price was very reasonable. Don't hesitate to give these guys a call.

Services not provided 7 months after contract signed and over 70% of payment made
On 08/17/18, I signed a contract with a Herrmann Brothers representative (***) to contract work on a patio conversion. A 20% down payment was made on a $17000 job. About 3 weeks later a contractor inspected the patio and informed me that the existing floor would need to be taken out and lowered to meet code - this would be at an added expense of $4000 (Plan A). He suggested that I expand the room to double the size for an additional $8000 (Plan B). I agreed and *** arrived within a few days to draw up a new contract. The $8000 for the addition had to be paid in full on signing the new contract. I gave *** a check requested that he hold on to the check until I contacted him to let him know when the funds were available. Two days later the check was deposited and funds had not been transferred putting me in overdraft. I was told that *** had not informed the office to await my confirmation. This payment was made on 10/24/18. During the next 2 months I made numerous calls to the company requesting updates on the progress of the plans in order to submit drawings to my HOA for approval. Fortunately Herrmann Brothers offices are a few minutes from my work so I dropped in a number of times when my phone calls were not answered. Finally on 12/21/18 I received the plans and application for the permit was submitted on 1/24/19. I received an email from *** informing me that the approval would take one week. The HOA approval was emailed to *** on 1/24/19. I then made a payment of $8500 for supplies ahead of time (per the contract this was to be paid when county approval was given) assuming that this would speed up the process. After a week approval had not been given by the county and after a number of phone calls and emails, *** informed me on 2/11/19 that the permit had been suspended because the contractor had not signed the application. on 2/26 I sent a strongly worded email to ***. On 2/28 I received a voice message from *** who then emailed me *** was cc'd on the email)informing me that the permit was approved and that *** would be placing me on a schedule. I requested that I be kept updated. No one contacted me despite numerous messages left. I called and left messages on 3/8, 3/9 and three times on 3/11, twice using my phone and once using my daughter's phone - no one called me back. On 3/11/19 I went into their offices demanding to know what was happening. *** informed me that Kevin had been hospitalized and that is why I was not contacted. I had not yet been scheduled and demanded that I be given a start date. *** wanted to schedule me for April and that was unacceptable. I would be on Spring break the next week and asked that the work begin then. *** said that she could slot me in instead of a job that was still waiting county approval - this seemed odd to me since my approval had come through 4 weeks back and I had not been scheduled yet. On 3/17/19, I sent an email to *** confirming work would begin on 03/18/2019 and that there would be no more delays since my 90 HOA permission had 4 weeks before it expired. I received no response to this email. On 3/18 the contractor had not arrived. I called *** at 10:34 she said that work had been scheduled for the week of 3/18, not on 3/18. On 3/21 I called, no one answered so drove over to their office. When I arrived, I met Kevin and *** I was assured that work would begin at X:XX-X:XX on 3/22. On 3/22 at 8:57 *** emailed me and said that the contractors were running late, I thanked her and got a response "I am trying with you!" At 12:56 I emailed to say that no one had arrived, got no response. Called at 2:18 and 3 more times after that. Also called ***. After leaving a message that I would be filing a complaint with Revdex.com and that I would advise my attorney to file a police complaint, I finally got a call at 2:58 from *** with the contractor on the line assuring me that work would begin tomorrow 3/23/19.

Desired Outcome

I expect work to be completed to my satisfaction as per the specifications outlined in the plans. As $19900 has already been paid on a $25000 project, (79.6% 0f the total cost) and work has not proceded at a resonable and timely pace, the remainder of the payment will be paid on completion.

Hired herrmann brothers on 7/11/2017 he came by the house and convinced me in to signing the insurance check over to them the sum of $34.280.32

Desired Outcome

they still have time to complete this job I'am willing to work out details on completing the job.*** the owner was a nice man when i meet him he made me a promise that i had his word that he will take care of me I WANT MY SUNROOM ROOM DONE

I hired *** Brothers to build a sun room in the back of my townhouse.
It has taken them a year and the job is still not complete.
They do not show up when they are suppose to even after promising they would in writing. When they did communicate.
They hire subcontractors instead of in house employees and I ended up with 2 different teams, this cause issues with putting up the ceiling.
They show up at 11 leave at 4. I requested glass on the sides they are still not here.
I HAVE CALLED AND EMAILED THE OWNER MANY TIMES AND I DO NOT RECEIVE INFORMATION OR COMMUNICATION BACK!!
The screens they put in have rips, and the locks on 1 window does not work, lastly the foundation when they did the demolition was damaged. I sent photos again no response.

I was suppose to get a french door, got a door with just glass.

I have approximately 1000 dollars left to give them, I have paid most of it and I want my skylights and side glass put in as well as the repairs for the damaged areas.

I have a lawyer involved and will take them to court as well if this is not resolved within this month.

Desired Outcome

Finish the job I WOULD LIKE EVERYTHING TO BE COMPLETED TO MY SATISFACTION WITH THE SKY LIGHTS AND THE SIDE GLASS AND FIX THE DAMAGE AREAS ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD LIKE AN ADJUSTMENT FOR TIME AND EFFORT I HAVE LOST WITH WORK AND ALL THE AGGREVATION

So glad we came across this company during our searches for a sunrooms. Many quotes came in higher & didn't offer the terrific warranty they do here. Initially we were quoted about 6-8 weeks but they were able to get us in much sooner. We first just hired them and we felt self lucky. After looking into updating our covered patio area also we went ahead & contacted Herrman who was able to accommodate our time frame & budget. They were able to get both area done within a few days. The installers were very efficient & tidy. Definitely would not hesitate contacting them again for another other work. Professionalism all the way!

I am having an issue with Herrmann Brothers Enterprises regarding my signed contract from 6 months ago and not receiving communication or completion.
Herrmann Brothers Enterprises was referred to me as the Contractor for Four Seasons Sunrooms. I signed a contract on September 7,2018. The Permit was pulled on NOvember29, 2018. The work was scheduled for March 1, 2019. I have waited 6 months. Prior to January 2019 communication was great and I received all documents. After the New Year, the company lost office staff and everything became stagnant. My project was put on hold and I was told they needed to order the materials. I can never get through to the company by phone. No one returns calls or Emails. I would like to resolve this matter either by the work being done or a full refund of my money. I only asked for communication and there is none.

Desired Outcome

I would prefer that the project get done otherwise I expect a full refund.

We just finished our Sunroom project with Herrmann Brothers crew a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't be more delighted with the results. Everyone on the team is great, and we were happy with every step of the process. They were all extremely patient with our multitude of questions and concerns along the way, especially John. They really bend over backwards to make sure that you are satisfied with the whole project from beginning to end, and even exceeded our expectations. It goes without saying that our new room is beautiful, too. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants an amazing addition to their home.

Great company to do business with. Great product we loved our old sunroom so much we have decided to build another one on our new home. After much research we decided that once again Herrmann Brothers is the best sunroom in the market. Thank you guys.

Contract signed 6.18.18. There has been nothing done to install the sunroom to date 01.08.19.
Now 7 months since contract, there is no communication from Company and no progress on sunroom project. They ignore emails and certified letters. In last phone call in September the office staff said "you're not our only customer" and "we will build it in January because of the holidays". I was told by *** Herrmann that it would take 3 months to complete the project when contract was signed in June. No obstructions on my part to commence project. Have paid over $23,000 to this company who no longer provides updates or communicates with me. I am a single, elderly female and I think they are guilty of age and sex discrimination as well. I am requesting a full and expedited refund.

Desired Outcome

I am requesting a full refund for their failure to provide the contracted sunroom.

On July 17, 2018 Herrmann Brothers received a signed contract for $13,000.00 and a 20% deposit was also given at that time. On July 26, 2018 I scheduled *** Herrmann for a presite between 12-1pm. (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It is not true. It does not correct or offer a correction to the abandoned job that they have $9100. for. There still has been no contact with
with the contractor. I have a complaint in with Consumer affairs & FL. State division of licence & professional regulations. I have proof of all I stated. They continue to say they have tried to
reach out to me. Again not true. I have landline, cell, fax, email. Certainly 1 of those could work.

I recommend this company and will do business with them again, my new patio was more than what I expected and the installers were amazing and On time! They made sure that everything was sealed aND perfect before they walked away. The best investment I made thanks Joe.

Thank you

When I first met reps for Herrmann Bros., I asked what would happen if I changed my mind.
They responded providing no work carried out full refund.
At the beginning of March I contacted Herrmann Bros regarding having a glass sunroom built. A representative came over to my house whilst my general contractor was there, so I had an additional witness. I asked if I changed my mind what would happen? The representative said that as long as they hadn't drawn up any plans or spent time on the project, I would receive a full refund. I paid the $7600 deposit and that was it.
After talking to various general contractors and real estate people I decided to cancel the sunroom as it was quite expensive and I didn't know if I would be able to recoup the money when I sold my house. This was almost a month after paying the deposit. I spoke to the manager ***, who informed me as not work had been carried out I would receive my full deposit back.
After a few emails and phone calls were ignored I had my attorney send the a certified letter requesting the return of my deposit. This too was ignored!
On speaking with my attorney I decided to again go ahead with the project as it would be too expensive to litigate, I had a good case, but it would take time and money.
Mid June a new contract was written out and I received a visit from Herrmann Bros. My PA was present and witnessed the entire meeting.
I didn't hear anything until Mid August when my PA called *** to request an update on the sunroom. *** said they had emailed various documents to myself but had not received a response (I did not receive a phone call off them to see why I had not responded. At the meeting in June, I did tell the representative that I would be out of the country for part of the summer, but they did have my PA's details (they copied them down incorrectly)
When my PA asked *** why they had not called either one of us, she received no satisfactory explanation.
Once I received the relevant paperwork it was completed and returned within four days. Requests for the boundary survey were dealt with in a day.
I received the HOA approval letter on September 5th, it was emailed to *** on the same day.
September 6th I received an email off *** giving us an update
"I am waiting on semi final plans so they can be reviewed and signed off on by *** Herrmann, Once that is done we will submit the semi-final plans to our engineer who will generate signed and sealed plans, once I have signed and sealed plans your permit application will be submitted to your building department has 30 days to approve the building permit. Once I have your building permit number I will email it to you along with the building departments website so you can tract your permit status right along with us here in the office." ***'s words. Continuing with her statement, "when we are notified by the building department that your permit is ready for pick up, I will send you an invoice for your material payment which is $7100. Once that payment is received your material will be released from our vendor and the lead time currently is 12 weeks, when all of your material arrives at our facility you will go into scheduling and that is a different department."
My PA sent various emails to *** which weren't acknowledged.
Neither my PA nor myself ever received the building permit number for tracking.
I received several demands for a payment of $7100.
September 29th I sent an email saying how appalled I was at their methods of conducting business. They obviously weren't going to get the sunroom finished for the cut off date specified by the HOA(October 31st), but yet they are still requesting more money from me.
On the 27th September my PA sent *** an email requesting her to cancel the contract, at this point I just wanted to be done with them. They said they wanted 20% of the full contract. So 20% of $21000.00 being $4200.00, downpayment was $7600.00 Balance owed to customer is $3400. Running out of space, my PA had to physically drive to their office on Thursday November 1st to collect the check.

Desired Outcome

I think their business practices are dreadful! I ran out of space on the previous form. For them to sit on my deposit with the excuse they were waiting for *** to sign the check is appalling! My PA called at the office and spoke with *** who still maintained that she was waiting for ***, for over 2 weeks. The check was signed within minutes and not by ***! I want my full deposit returning which I think I am entitled to. I have since read other reviews on them, several being very similar to mine!

Sorry, I am not happy with the outcome.
I was away for the holiday and this is the first opportunity I have had to deal with ***'s response.
On the initial visit, the rep from Herrmann Bros told me that it I paid the deposit that day he would offer me a further discount.
That is the reason, along with the fact, that he assured me providing they haven't done any work, I would get the full deposit returned.
This did not happen.
They didn't even respond to a letter from my attorney requesting the return of my deposit.
I felt I had no alternative but to continue with the job.
From the start, it was made clear to the various representatives that the work had to be fished by October 31st which was the cut off date set by the HOA.
I have detailed the various happenings in my previous report.
I do not want anyone else to go through a similar experience.
Herrmann Bros like to take your money and hold on to it!
Very, very disappointing experience!

I love my new Sunroom the installers were professional, on time and kept the work area clean. The girls in the office were always available if I had a question or needed clarification. I experienced delays due to the weather and material delivery which was out of their control but would highly recommend Herrmann Brothers..
Thanks

Enjoy your sunroom.

One of the top companies I have ever worked with they know what they're doing when it comes to installing the room the best guys to have do this is Rafi and Armando great team all around experience A+ I would definitely recommend this company to all my friends thank you

I had three companies come to my house and four seasons Sunroom's was the only one had impact rated room also check with palm beach county building Dept and they told me the company had many permits completed I love my new room

Do NOT I repeat DO NOT hire this company. I gave Herrmann a $4400 deposit in good faith in November 2017. To date, 4/23/18, no permit has been issued due to Herrmann not knowing the 2014 standards have changed, resubmitted #2 for a re -evaluation, again it failed due to an engineering standard. Obviously this company isn't efficient, responsible, or up to date on the construction standards in south Florida. WARNING stay away. I will update later if and when construction finally starts.

Contract signed June 2017 and work is still not completed and issues with work that they are refusing to complete.
Refusing to complete installation of work and will not come out to look and repair work that has been done poorly.

Desired Outcome

Complete and repair stucco work, hole left in yard due to workers and as per contract installation of two screens.

The stucco was repaired, although I have called twice concerning trash that needs to be disposed of and now after 2 weeks the trash is still here. I have had to pick up excessive amount of nails in my yard and lanai along with water bottles and general trash.
