We did not receive this item as a return, and credit was not issued to his Fingerhut Account.   We have reviewed the phone call Mr. [redacted] placed to Fingerhut on June 11, 2015. During the phone call Mr. [redacted] stated the mattress was defective, however at that time Mr. [redacted] would have been unable to return the mattress. We are writing in response to a second inquiry received from your office on behalf of Ms. [redacted] regarding a credit inquiry reflecting on her credit report.
In Ms. [redacted]'s response to our request, she states the date of the fraudulent inquiry on her credit report occurred on August 5, 2013. Ms. [redacted]'s desired resolution is to have the inquiry removed from her credit report immediately.
Based on our research, given the above date of August 5, 2013, we were able to locate an inquiry based on the date and Ms. [redacted]'s first and last name.
Our records indicate we received an application for credit on August 5, 2013. The application was processed via the internet. The name on the application is the same one Ms. [redacted] provided when contacting us regarding this issue. The application was denied.
As Ms. [redacted] denies authorizing the credit application matching her personally identifiable information, we referred these matters to our Credit Risk Department for further review. A copy of the application is enclosed for your reference.
As a result of their investigation, the inquiry on Ms. [redacted]'s credit report was referred to Equifax Credit Services, TransUnion L.L.C., and Experian Information Solutions, Inc. for removal; please allow 60-90 days for the information to be removed. Additionally, Ms. [redacted] 's information has been marked for our system to instantly recognize, flag, and block similar attempts in the future, should they occur.

in response to the inquiry we received from your office on behalf of Mr. [redacted] regarding a WebBank/Fingerhut Advantage Credit Account.
Our records confirm Mr. [redacted] purchased a Polaroid 18Megapixel 8X-Zoom Camera on December 4, 2014 and an AT&T DECT 6.0 Corded & Cordless Phone on March 21, 2015.
We regret to learn of the problem Mr. [redacted] states he has experienced with the camera and also his report of not receiving one of the two handsets included with the phone.
Given the circumstances unique to Mr. [redacted]'s situation with each of these items, we can offer the following resolution. We have issued an account credit covering the full cost of the camera, including shipping/handling. This was already applied to his account and will appear on a future monthly statement for his records. The camera is his to keep or otherwise do with as he chooses.
Additionally, we are sending a new replacement, identical to the first, for the AT&T phone that will include both handsets. Mr. [redacted] will be notified by email when the replacement is shipped along with an estimated delivery date and shipment tracking number.
Our customers are important to us and we strive to assist and satisfy them. With the corrective measures we have taken we trust that we have done so with Mr. [redacted].

I am rejecting this response because: The problem is that the account no longer belongs to Fingerhut. It was sold to [redacted] is the owner of the account and they have issued out documantation of my payment of the entire balance. How come the account's rightful owner doesn't have the right to change what written on a credit report. Fingerhut's clause became invalid when Fingerhut sold the account. Apparently, as Fingerhut keeps telling me, Fingerhut is no longer authorized to deal with any part of this account so, it stands to reason how Fingerhut can hold any kind of disciplinary clause to an account that the say is not their own and that they do not deal with in any way. I'm not sure how this can be fair. The account is not Fingerhut's property. Fingerhut either needs to make the corrections I am asking for or take their name off of my account and entitle the account as [redacted]'s property, so that [redacted]'s letter that confirms payment will be useful. This clause in the Fingerhut rule book is bullying under such circumstances as the one I have described. It is unfair treatment and it is Fingerhut trying to exercise power and relinquish power simultaneously when Fingerhut show just make up their mind: does Fingerhut own the account or not?

Due to the length of time that has passed we are unable to accept this item as a return as we require returns to be made in accordance to our return policy which states: “We will grant exchange or issue a credit for full cash price within 30 days of receipt. After 90 days, we will no longer grant an exchange or issue a refund. Shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable. Computers, camcorders, video games, and generators: Fingerhut offers returns and exchanges through the 30-day home trial period for the full cash price. After that time we can no longer grant exchanges or accept returns. Other product concerns must be handled under the manufacturers’ warranty. Software and music CD’s: May be returned for credit or refund only if in the original unopened packaging with the factory seal intact. We have included the account activity, credit application, Terms and Conditions and the last three monthly statements.   Ms. [redacted] states that Fingerhut is reporting a credit account which is not hers. Ms. [redacted]’s desired resolution is to have trade line deleted from her credit report.   Our records indicate that on February 15, 2007, an application was processed online with Ms. [redacted]’s personally identifiable information. On March 30, 2007 an order was placed with online for a 3 pc Pink Milano EVA Luggage. The merchandise was shipped April 2, 2007 via FedEx to the same address as provided on the application. The last order, totaling $44.94, was placed on August 30, 2011.   We have received multiple payments on this account from checking accounts ending in 5883, 1372 and 0841. The name associated with all of the accounts is [redacted]. The last payment, totaling $22.99, was received on September 9, 2011. No further payments were received. The unpaid balance of $2320.31 charged off on March 13, 2012 and the account was sold to Midland Credit Management on January 31, 2013.   Based on our research, we received four credit bureau disputes though the credit bureaus, since the account was sold, in which we responded directly to the bureaus on January 21 and 22, 2015, April 28 and May 2, 2016.   Equifax and Trans Union are accurately reporting the account as Transferred/Sold or Purchased by Another Lender with a balance of zero. Nothing is reporting to Experian, as Fingerhut did not begin reporting to Experian until October 2013.   We cannot revise the information we are reporting to the credit bureaus as we are required by law to furnish accurate reporting. Please reference the Reporting and Monitoring section of our terms and conditions that was included in Ms. [redacted]’s Welcome Packet. It states:   “If you fail to fulfill the terms of your credit obligation, a negative report reflecting on your credit records can be submitted to one or more credit reporting agencies.”   Conversely, accounts that are in good standing will be reported as well.   If Ms. [redacted] has questions about what Midland Credit Management may be reporting, she must contact them directly at ###-###-####.   We referred Ms. [redacted]’s correspondence to our Credit Risk Department for further review. In order to continue processing a claim of fraudulent account opening, we ask that she complete and return the unordered merchandise affidavit we have sent directly to [redacted], Las Vegas, Nevada 89144 on May 25, 2016. We also ask that Ms. [redacted] file a police report and send both copies to the following address:   Fingerhut Attn: Fraud Department [redacted] St. Cloud, MN 56303   Ms. [redacted] may also fax the affidavit and police report to ###-###-#### Attn: Fraud. response to the inquiry we received from your office on behalf of Mr. [redacted] regarding a WebBank/Fingerhut Advantage Credit Account.
Our records confirm an order was placed on September 20, 2014 for a Breville 2 Speed Juice Fountain for $199.98. The item was then returned on October 28, 2014, and the account was credited $170.04 which was the full cost of the item, minus the shipping and handling.
As our return policy states, "The original Shipping and Handling is nonrefundable if your item is not damaged or defective or in the case of a shipping error." This item was returned due to Mr. [redacted] not liking the product. For this reason, he would have been responsible for the shipping charges.
When an order is shipped a billing statement is generated. Our records indicate that the first billing statement was printed and mailed to Mr. [redacted] on September 28, 2014 with a minimum payment due by October 17, 2014. We did not receive a payment from Mr. [redacted]. According to the terms and conditions that Mr. [redacted] agreed to when he opened the account, late fees may be assessed if the minimum payment due is not received by the due date. Because the payment was not received, Mr. [redacted]'s account became past due.
Our records indicate that due to severe delinquency, Mr. [redacted]'s Webbank/Fingerhut Advantage Credit Account was charged off on April 24, 2015, with a balance owing of $113.43, and then sold to [redacted] on May 28, 2015.
For any further assistance Mr. [redacted] should need regarding this debt, he should contact [redacted] at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX.

She has tried normal fixes and even tried when visiting another country to access our website.
