Hill & Company Reviews (24)

I recently upgraded my HVAC system and wanted to provide some feedback on my experience. This was my 4th Trane system and my 2nd system upgrade with Hill & Co. In both cases, I contacted Hill & Co. first and really saw no need to look further. I want you to know that you can be proud of the employees who I interacted with throughout this latest upgrade. [redacted] was a real pleasure to work with and really made the deal happen. She answered all my questions, followed up after the initial contact, and showed persistence without being pushy. [redacted], and [redacted] were all very professional and worked well together throughout the installation of the system. [redacted] and [redacted] were both very friendly and helpful in scheduling the inspection and following up with the City when I needed some assistance.

I would like to thank you for your help guiding me through the purchase and installation of my new Trane air conditioning system. You were very patient explaining all the options as well as answering any questions that I had. For someone who knew nothing other than how to turn it on, you made it easier for me to make a decision.

The crew who installed the new unit were very considerate and respectful when coming in or out of my home. The job was completed within the time frame that I was given. Other than a new unit, you would not have known anyone had been there.

I am enjoying my new AC unit, and I have had to turn the thermostat up because I was getting too cold. Knowing that I do not have to worry about my old unit crashing definitely gives me peace of mind. The service program you offered—coming out to check the system periodically—is an added bonus. I would definitely recommend your company to anyone needing new air conditioning or heating units.

I am very happy that I made the decision to use Hill & Company to replace my entire upstairs and downstairs HVAC systems recently for several reasons. When I originally called in for service, my upstairs unit was completely down. That same day, a service technician came to meet me after I got off work and checked out my system. My cooling unit (coils) and furnace were original to my house (30+ years old). He explained, in detail, the cause of my problems and gave me 2 options as solutions. Due to the fact that the system was so old, I was interested in discussing the costs associated with total replacement. The technician was very helpful and offered to contact a sales person to see if he could come out to help me with this information.
Fifteen minutes later, Dale Holloway, my sales person pulled up to my house and discussed various systems available to replace my old system. He was very knowledgeable and professional and gave me 3 different quotes within an hour of our discussions. Keep in mind, it was almost 9:00 pm and he was still working. I decided on the upper end system and an installation date was set.
The installation crew arrived on time and worked almost non-stop enduring extremely hot temperatures in the attic. They were very professional and friendly during the process. They put down drop cloths on the stairs and around the unit to keep everything clean. They were not able to complete the install in one single day, but came back the next morning and finished the project. The two installation technicians were Lam and Alvaro. When they finished, they trained me on how to use the new thermostat which was really helpful.
During the installation, Dale came by at least three times to check on the install and the project manager also came buy to review the work. It was apparent that they all cared that everything was done correctly. There was a huge difference between the efficiency of the new system and the old system. It was so noticeable that I decided to go ahead and replace my downstairs unit too.
The installation of my downstairs unit went just as smoothly. Lam came back to work on this project, and Dennis was the second tech working with Lam. They were both top notch professionals in every respect.
I want to summarize my comments by saying that Dale and the Hill folks were very easy to deal with and made this experience painless. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a professional installation done from a company who does what they say they are going to do....and this is becoming a rarity in today's market. Thanks everyone.
Sincerely,
Scott Abbott

I have refunded the customers $139 for the after hours service call and have apologized if she felt like our technician was being...

dishonest in anyway. Our technician had nothing to gain if the customer was to replace the unit instead of making the repair. Our technician made the correct diagnoses and discussed other issues that could possibly go wrong with the unit so that the customer would have an idea of the cost of ownership going forward. He gave his professional opinion that replacement of the 14 year old unit was a better solution than spending $600 to make the after hours repair.
