what a rip offlike a fool my wife and I purchased this with hopes of having better options for vacations, which is what we were toldwhat a lienow when we try to contact them for resale of our property it is only worth 1000-with a dollar commissionwe found this out via email since you cant talk to them liverecording says to high of a call volumemost of the time I end up wasting my yearly points since nothing is close to my location and rci is a joke alsotake there dollar vacation listen to the sales pitch then run out and enjoy the rest of your dayif you do make the mistake and buy don't try one of the many resale companies, they are crocks also

Unfortunately our experience has been marked and we will never do business with Hilton againThe timeshare presentation is very deceiving and if you do not do your homework ahead of time you will sadly regret it as we didIt will sound too good to be true because that's exactly what it isI trusted Hilton being a Hilton Honors member but now know betterDo yourself a favor and if you are planning to attend the presentation research Hilton Grand Vacation Timeshare (they insist it is not a timeshare though) and you will save yourself the headache and timeNo one ever answers or calls back, it ends up being a scam

I was scammed too I got a call from HGVC and signed up for a $ day night stay at Parc Soleil, in an upgraded one bedroom suiteI also paid extra for an additional night for a total of $ Then I got an email saying I would be staying in a regular hotel room, and when I called they say I would have to pay even more for the additional night When I protested that I had already paid for the extra night, I was hung up on Not a good way to make potential buyers happy I want a refund

For those that look here before buying please heed the reviews This place will LIE to you to get you to buy their timeshares We've been owners for 6-years now and have had a few good experiences but when it comes to "short presentations" and "updates" they flat out lieWe purchased a VIP program after deciding not to buy an upgrade to our pointsThe only reason I wanted the bonus points was to pay our maintenance fees as well as have another vacation for a low cost I was FLAT OUT LIED to about using the points for fees and now am out that money

Just the most frustrating, frustrating, frustrating company Trying to book an Italy property for a date months away I've been trying for days on end The date window opens to book, we are on-line at the exact minute, the site says the room is available for those dates, I enter the credit card, and then get a message popping up saying the room is no longer available and someone beat us to it due to high demand I entered the credit card info literally within one minute Called and spoke to agent to book and she said there is only ONE room available to reserve at that resort when the booking window opens up How could that be? How could there be only one room available the minute the booking window opens up? Are the misrepresenting their ownership in this property? Is it shared with another company? When I bought in to Hilton Grand Vacation club, I was assured that I'd have the ability to call someone 24/ Their reservation agents are not available when the booking window opens up Therefore, I cannot get help when I need it

I booked a grand vacation package that included a $voucher for a future dateI sent the voucher in ( which has to be the original signed paper), via priority mailSince it had a trace I know they received itHowever I never received the rebateI called the rebate phone number, that I acquired from grand vacations and they asked me to send copies of the formI did that, and received a reject card in the mailI called to follow up, then called to follow upthey are still looking at itThis horrible experience has me suspicious that the work involved is part of their effort to short change customersAfter all, the rebate could have been processed electrically much more efficientlyIts a scam in my opinion

I was previously a happy Hilton Honors member and naively bought a Hilton Grand Vacation TimeshareThey fill you with lies and fail to tell you it is an investment that will only cause hardshipsPlease do yourself a favor and never buy in no matter how good it soundsI was deceived and am now paying for thisThey insist it is not a timeshare yet it is worse, its just a pointless waste of money

I was calling my hilton credit card company when they transferred me to Hilton Grand Vacation GetawaysThey offered me a great package to Oahu that seemed too good to be trueProfessionally dealing with legal issues, I immediately started to type out all the facts they gave and then asked again to check for details on each major item I spoke with Kenzi on Aug22nd to confirm the booking and this was what she told me: a suite with washer/dryer and accomodations for adultsThis was repeatedI took the packageWe have made plans and other commitments (airfare, car rental) I call them to confirm details and verify a few things and they tell me that it is only a standard room?!? I explain that this was not what I was told by the original sales person and they give me the runaroundWe wish we were told accurate information the FIRST time and not AFTER we made the reservations and paid in fullTHEY give nothing in writing ( I requested) but they obviously did not want their details expressedI am disappointed and feel lied to, but am going on the trip with family and so what am I to doHopefully Hilton will read all these reviews and figure out that there is some shady sales operations that is tarnishing their good name and reputation

I was a satisfied Hilton Rewards member utilizing them whenever I could for both personal and business related travel until I was misled into paying for the Orlando Vacation promotionNormally I politely decline and move on but on this day the sales associate made the offer sound too good to pass upI was told I could pick a guest suite at any Hilton property in Orlando as long as I completed my reservations in the next months and the only caveat was the two hour presentation for their timeshare and room availabilityOnce we attempted to make reservations I was told we could not get a suite at the hotel we selected but only a guest room and would need to select another hotelI had verified with the hotel before I attempted my reservation that the suite we wanted was available so this was definitely a bait and switchCramming people into a small room and then having to sit through a presentation is not my idea of a vacationHilton has lost my trust and my businessBuyer Beware! Accommodation Details Reservations are on a space-available basisPlease reserve high-season travel in advance to avoid disappointmentSavings and available accommodations may vary by seasonThe retail value of the accommodations featured in this vacation package is $199-$599/nightUpgrades may be available at an additional costPackage includes accommodations and named gifts onlyAll other charges, sales taxes, expenses, and the cost of travel are your sole responsibility and not included in this special rateHoliday, high season or weekend rates may applyWritten confirmation required at che

I'm only out $but not very happy
After I completed talking to an agent about making reservations in New Orleans I was asked if I would be interested in a promotional package offerThey transferred me to another agent that offered days and nights for $I clearly asked what the catch was and was assured there was noneWhen I get the confirmation via email I read about the timeshare sales pitch that we would be obligated to attend otherwise we would be charged the full price of our stay
Not at all happy and will make every effort to avoid Hilton branded hotels

This is a scam -

HGVC is a fraudulent operation, based on sales made by mendacious people My wife and I were sucked into buying at the LV Hilton based on representations We told the saleswoman there that we didn't really want LV but rather wanted to book at the HGVC Hawaii facilities We specifically asked her whether it was difficult to book there, and she replied that it was no problem at all We also told her that we wanted to go to the Big Island resort of Waikoloa She said no problem We also asked whether we'd be able to us the facilities of the Hilton hotel across the street from the HGVC club She said yes
TOOK US FOUR YEARS to get into Waikola after repeated attempts far in advance of our booking dates When we got there, with little children, the hotel told us we had no right to use any facilities Terrible vacation We have only been able to use our timeshare perhaps times in years It is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to book any popular resort during times that a family would typically travel
I want HGVC to purchase my timeshare back from me based on HGVC's blatant lying

Their timeshare presentations are a scam I attended a timeshare presentation almost years ago (spring of 2015), after which I was given a voucher for a $rebate for spending a night at a Hilton property I stayed the night, sent in the rebate, and received an email saying that I would be receiving the $rebate It's now December and no check has arrived I've called the rebate company a dozen times about this, after which they finally told me I need to speak to Hilton Grand Vacations Customer Service I've spoken to HGVC four times about this- twice the person flat out hung up on me while explaining the issue (which I did calmly and politely) The other two times, someone has told me they're looking into this, but weeks later no response I've forwarded to them copies of the email I received saying a check would be sent, with no response
What do I have to do to get the $check that was promised?

I received a phone call for a promotional vacation package in OrlandoI was misled right off the bat, being told that as long as the hotel has availability during the dates I am seeking, I will be able to choose from any of the Hilton hotels in Orlando for my stayAnother part of the arrangement required a hour time-share presentation during any day of your stay except the first and lastI stated that I would only agree to participate in and purchase this promotion if those terms of the agreement were changed so I could take the tour on the last day of my stayThe manager made this change and gave me his name as a reference pointHowever, when I received my confirmation email, this change to the terms was not includedFurthermore, when I called to book my stay, I was told that the resort I wanted to stay in would be unavailable for the next monthsThis was very contradictory to the terms that stated that I could stay at any resort as long as there was availability, as I was able to book the same "unavailable" room through the Hilton website for all of the many dates I provided as optionsTo make matters worse, I was told that under no circumstances could I take the tour on the last day of my stayThe manager stated that they would listen to the recording in which I was told this would be a changed term to my agreement, but even if it was a term under which I agreed to the promotion, Hilton Grand Vacations would not uphold this part of the AgreementUltimately, I was told I could avoid having any tour, but then I would not get the points and free Hilton night that were also part of the terms of this AgreementAfter hours of my time were wasted dealing with this inconsistent, rude, and unprofessional organization, I agreed to these new termsNot to my surprise, when my updated Agreement was emailed to me, it had me scheduled for a tour on the second to last day of my stay - contrary to what was agreed toI called back to get a confirmation email with the accurate information (so as to avoid the difficulties I've had to deal with thus far), and I was informed that they would not send me an email or any documentation of this transaction no matter whatIf not illegal, this whole transaction seemed far from ethically soundAfter being deceived, hung up on, yelled at, lied to, and disregarded, I would have to advise any potential customers of this business to steer clear at all costs

Attended a Hilton Grand Vacation presentation on Nov 18, and it was an experience The Lady doing the sales presentation spoke very fast and was rude when we advised that we won't purchase the offer
In reality we felt the presentation failed to cover all the associated costs that are included on a Time Share program It is suggested that these companies include a full disclosure on their presentation including but not limited to, taxes, maintenance, closing costs, resale value, etc
Hilton is a great hotel chain and when available we always stay on their facilities
We are rating the HGV Presentation as NEGATIVE for the reasons mentioned above

Do Not Buy! Rip OffThought we were buying the week at the end of June, the facility currently under construction, in Myrtle Beach, SCInstead, we were deeded the last week in November, in the older buildingThis company needs to be investigated as a fraudulent businessI will never stay in a Hilton again

I go to book my trip and the service rep tells in the course of our conversation that my husband HAS to be in attendance. It is required. Seriously? This is the 21st century and I have to bring my husband? What if my best friend and I want to look into buying a time share for our getaways? I definitely do not recall this being listed as a requirement during the sales pitch on the phone, which led to an argument with the service rep I was trying to book a stay with. Excellent customer service training, by the way- arguing with the customer. Bottom line: I cancelled.
What is sexism? Thinking a wife can't afford a time share on her own and requiring her husband to be in attendance. Can't have the little missus getting all confused over fancy paperwork.
