Phone message:  We did everything that the contract stated.  We got him financed and signed the paperwork stating that he was happy with the job before the funds where released.  Now all of the sudden, he has issues.  I don't understand.  There was no leaking.  There...

was a decorative thing he wanted up on the roof (purely decorative) it had nothing to do with the roof itself. He had it and I didn't want to put it up there because I could not guarantee it would not leak and apparently now this is an issue.  Again we did everything that we were supposed to and he signed off on it.

As I explained to you it was not a roofing failure it was a siding failure.  We did not install your siding we only installed your roof.  We did repair and stop the leak at NO COST but the damage to your ceiling was not a fault of the roof.

Greg Nelson the owner call me and said it was all a mistake and my account was paid in full.  Please call him and verify this, and if nothing has changed I will drop my complaint against this company.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  Some of the statements made by the owner are false and I have several voice mails that are time/date stamped to show continued correspondence. On 12/6 I have my first voice mail asking a question about the shutters.  On 1/12 Bryan left a voice mail stating the shutters did not come in that week.   On 1/20 Bryan left a voice mail saying the shutters where in and they should be installed the following week.  He also said he would call on Monday with a better time frame.  He never called.  On 2/8 Bryan left a voice mail following up on one of my messages left.  He stated that he spoke with Greg and they should be done the 1st part of next the following week.  On 2/13 I have another voice mail stating the shutters would be installed by the end of the week.  I have been in constant contact with the company mostly Bryan and the secretary.  I have a contract that says they will place large shutters on the house for a cost of $150 and smaller shutters on the house for $75.  This has not happened and the company has stated they would like to come and do another appraisal.  I would have gone with a completely different company for my shutters and roof if the appraisal was not what they could fulfill.  I do not appreciate this bait and switch mentality.  I also do not think that it is fair to say that I was difficult to work with or that I have an expectation of immediate gratification.  The contract was signed on Oct. 28 2016.  Obviously we live in a challenging climate, but I think it is reasonable to expect the job to have been completed by March.  Apparently complications came up with the fit of the shutter though none of this was communicated to us.  As for the satisfaction for the roof.  I had Bryan return after installation and he wrote into the contract that they would replace any shingles that do not seal and lay down.  After my recent interaction on the phone with the owner I am afraid that the business will no longer uphold their end of the roof warranty (15 year transferable on craftsmanship)  and or will stall or delay service with any issues we may have.  This was expressed on the phone with the owner when he said "It is your word against mine" and hung up shortly after telling me to have a good day.

The leak was on the roof. The siding is on side and touches the roof close to where the leak occurred.  Why did he change his mind. He was arranging to have it repaired.

Customer signed a contract for roof work.  Work has been completed, customer paid what he felt was reasonable which was NOT the final price as agreed.  There is an outstanding balance of $1475   A lien will be placed upon the property if not paid in full by 9/12/2016 per General...

Provisions and Disclosures signed by the homeowner.

Regards,
[redacted]First off he said he came out a few weeks ago???I don't think so.A guy did come out over a month ago when the bees were still there. They DO NOT call before before someone comes out.On Tuesday he shows up without calling and I told him I was going in the shower and he could look back at the roof.Slammed the door in my face and told me just to 'fix it'. IS A LIE!I wish I went with another company-This company has be nothing but trouble. From destroying my Dish TV Antenna to leaving nails all around my house.I'm done with this company!!!

We have no record that the customer called in March 2017 but did have several emails back and forth with the customer in September 2017 to ask more details about his concerns (see attached) Yes he did reach out to us in September and when we went to the house there was a bee issue that we needed to...

be resolved before looking at this further.  We were notified the bees were gone and said we'd have someone get back out there and look at the issue.  I did go back and look at the issue a few weeks ago but Mr. [redacted] was not home. I couldn't find anything wrong with the roof. After receiving his threatening email, along with him being verbally abusive to my staff I went to his house myself. I knocked on the door to explain to him that the issue is NOT a roofing issue. It is a siding issue (trim work) that WE DID NOT DO.  Mr. [redacted] refused to come out of the house, he slammed the door in my face and told me just to 'fix it'.  I then left him a detailed message of my findings.  Again, NOT a roofing issue, not part of what we were contracted to do and there is absolutely nothing wrong with his roof.  I can certainly fix his siding/trim issue but it is not under the roof warranty, it would be additional services that he would need to hire us for and pay for.As it stands now, I really don't want to work with this customer again.  He was rude and extremely abrasive with my staff.  Called several times, yelled, threatened and said he'd continue calling daily until I (Greg) answer the phone.  No one in my office needs to deal with a bully like Mr. [redacted].  What's even more odd is that his email of 10/30/2017 stated that he wanted it resolved THIS WEEK.  Which is it, yet he threatens legal action and is abusive to my staff without giving us even 24 hours to respond to his 10/30 email.  I prefer not to deal with such an arrogant person so my file is closed. I am NOT LIABLE for his siding issue. Good luck Mr. [redacted].

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The fact of the matter is that the only reason we went with the company was they had an over all quote including shutters that beat out other companies.  We would have gone with another company if we knew they could not full fill the shutter order at $150 for the large shutters installed and $75 for the smaller shutter installed.  We again have phone messages going until the middle of  February.  We did have people come on February 20th.  The crew unscrewed one of the shutters and screwed it back in and left.  There was no conversation canceling the shutter order.  We did tell Brian early in the month that he no longer needed to bring the door information because we would no longer be purchasing the door from him.  We were never informed that the order was incorrect.  Please review previous statements from our past records of complaints.  Again we have phone messages confirming February 8th that they were planning on coming next week to install the shutters.  The statement made that we cancelled early February is just false.  If that were the case why would they be showing up at the end of the month.  We continued to contact Brain on February 17th and March 7th prior to the wind storm.  We then did not contact figuring they might be a bit busy because of the wind storm.  If they were planning on fulfilling the contract it should have been down way prior to February or even January.  The roof was finished in November.  They then had issues with delivery and then kept leaving us messages saying next week.  When they finally did come on site February 20th they took down one shutter and put it back up.  This is most likely when they learned they had the wrong order and would not be able to fulfill our request of $150 and $75 for big and small shutters.  This would not be an issue except for the fact that we went with them because of the original price of the shutters and roof.  Is the company still willing to fulfill the complete contract at $150 for large shutters and $75 for smaller shutters installed within a reasonable time frame?

I responded on 6/14/2016 to customer explaining that we found the return was rotted and not just a repair.  It was beyond the scope of the contract and I offered 2 options & I never heard back from the customer

The business contacted Revdex.com to inform us the issue has been fixed.
