Working with Phil was greatHe was really attentive and to our needs and specific situationHe gave us all the information we needed to make and educated and informed decision about what type of roof to put on our houseHe was really willing to work with our pretty random schedule so that the job moved along quickly and efficiently
We were also working partially with our insurance companyThe insurance company was a real pain, but Phil and the others he worked with really stuck with it to get the job paid forIt was nice to have such significant help navigating that process!

I met the team of Hoffman Weber at the Denver Home showThey offered to give me a estimate for siding at my home in Lakewood CoAfter seeing the presentation and bid I signed a contract with them for a siding jobI received commitments:
A: the price wouldn't change
B: No one would show up at my home unless I was contacted on my cell phone first
days later a subcontractor showed up unannounced to measure the job again
The next day another subcontractor showed up to measure
the day after that he showed up again to remeasure
Yesterday the manager and the subcontractor showed up to measure againAll of these were unannounced
When I called to question I was told that they had made a huge pricing error and could not do the job as contractedI have requested my deposit backI don't want this construction company who don't honor their commitments near my home
Please beware of their bait and switch tactics

After the hailstorm Hoffman Webber was the contractor that I chose to re-roof and paint my house The company did an excellent job, completing the work exactly when and how they said they would *** *** who was our contact with Hoffman Weber was a great person to work with

I highly recommend Hoffman WeberThey did the roof, siding, soffit, and fascia on my garage and it looks great! I have had many compliments on itThey are very responsiveI highly recommend Phillip Hide to everyone for an estimateHe goes over and beyond on the jobHe is with you from the start to the finishHe goes over the top to provide the most awesome customer serviceI will be doing a lot of projects with him in the futureHe is very knowledgeable and has years of experienceYou won't be disappointed with their superior work crewThank you for doing such a wonderful jobYou are the best Phillip

Hoffman Weber did an excellent job with the installation of my new roofFrom the first moment the product manager (Lee Arnold) talked to us to the final touches at the completionIf we had any questions, our PM called us back right away with a responseHW worked with our insurance company about any issues or questions and I didn't have to worry about anythingI would definitely recommend this Company to anyone

Sales rep Phillip *** walked us through all our options and help us make the best choice for our home On-site crew was fast and professional The house looks great

The workers arrived on time and did an excellent jobThere were a couple hiccupsThey ordered the wrong brand/color of aluminum wrap that was sent to the job site, but promptly went out and got the right stuff and still finished in about four hoursThey were professional and efficientWe also had a difference over the quote that was given and the actual billThe owner Joe Hoffman, promptly rectified the matter and adjusted his bill to reflect the quote, even though this resulted in personal loss for Hoffman WeberJoe is a pleasure to work with and he will do whatever it takes to please his customerWe have recommended him to our friends on many occasions, all with great feedbackWe appreciate Joe's professionalism and integrityHe is an honest business owner and always stands by his wordIf you need to get you roof or siding replaced, Hoffman Weber is the BEST!

We had a positive experience with Hoffman Weber when we had our roof and gutters replacedThey were professional and very friendlyI would recommend them and use them again when needed

We contracted Hoffman Webber to complete our roof, window wraps, and downspouts after a hail storm When we signed the contract on October 13, with Mike, we were told they are currently about weeks out on the schedule When I didn't hear from them to schedule a time to complete the work, I called our sales contact (Mike) on October 28th When I asked him if we were still looking at weeks, he proceeded to tell me he didn't say that and he had no idea when the work would be completed; that I should call the office First of all it should not be the customers responsibility to try and figure out when the work should be done, good customer service would have been for Mike to call whomever needed to get the customer an answer After weeks went by (November 3rd) and my neighbors roof was completed (contacted & paid Hoffman after us), I started calling the main office line for some sort of update on my repairs I was transferred to the project manager (Matt Callahan) voicemail to leave a message After a few days went by with no response, I called the office again to get answers, again I was transferred to Matt's voicemail After leaving yet another message, I immediately called the office again and asked for a manager I was then transferred to Lee's voicemail Lee returned my call stating that he will try to have the roof done next week, that Matt will be calling me to set this up It sounded like they haven't even looked at my insurance paperwork given to them when the contract was signed The roof was completed the next week with no update on when the remainder of the work was to be done
I started call Lee and Matt around Thanksgiving to get Hoffman Webber to complete the downspouts and window wraps I think the only reason they returned my voicemails were because I told them I was going to find someone else to do the job The downspouts and window wraps were complete the week of December 5th; however, incorrectly All but downspouts were to be replaced, they did all of them; however, only were done correctly My previous downspouts folded up for easy mowing and were extra long to ensure the water stayed away from the house All but one of the window wraps were correct One they stripped the wood below the window leaving it exposed in the dead of winter, meaning we can not paint or seal it The contractors who replaced the wraps damaged of the downspouts that were correct This means that only downspout is correct on my house My husband called our sales rep (Mike) December 12th stating the items that needed to be corrected Mike stated that he was going to contact someone and have them out the next day to get it fixed Today it is December 29th and we are yet to have our downspouts and window fixed I called Matt Callahan December 28th and left a message with no response My husband called Mike December 28th asking for an update; Mike stated that he thought the work was complete and that we should call Matt, my husband stated that I have tried and told us to call someone else
We are trying to sell our house, going to list it on January 3rd and still our hail damage from the May storm is incomplete Hoffman Webber delayed us from listing our house in December and now they might prevent us from closing with a potential buyer or losing our dream house that we have been waiting to put in an offer on

Dear Mr....

[redacted],
This response is in regards to Case ID# [redacted] opened July 16, 2015, complainant [redacted]. Hoffman Weber Construction does not feel the complaint is warranted and does not agree to the resolution proposed by Ms. [redacted].
Ms. [redacted] stated that we had neglected to call the City of Minneapolis to determine the building requirements to rebuild her home in accordance to our agreement. However, our project manager for this project did in fact contact the City of Mpls within 48 hours of Ms. [redacted] signing the contingent agreement. He provided all the necessary information and arranged for the public inspector to provide a list of requirements to satisfy all permits. This occurred before Ms. [redacted] insurance company on site to produce their estimate.
The estimate was provided by Ms. [redacted]' insurance company, State Farm, and reviewed by Hoffman Weber production team the second week of May. Upon review, Hoffman Weber was tasked with providing additional estimates for items State Farm left to have bid. These items included comprehensive portions of the work needed for rebuilding the home, e.g. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, etc. Without the complainant's insurance company providing a proper repair estimate, our company needed to gather these estimates in order to provide the comprehensive estimate Ms. [redacted] claims we failed to deliver.
Our project manager has since worked diligently to obtain all the necessary estimates as well produce full plans for the rebuild, including design for the truss. Ms. [redacted] did reach out to Hoffman Weber management regarding the situation, but after discussing everything with our general manager, she agreed that the project manager remained the right person to continue pursuing the project. Unfortunately, did not allow us to go through the rigid process of collecting, reviewing estimates in the normal fashion & time it takes to do so, but instead desired expedited service.
After legally pursuing to have the contract dissolved, it was in Hoffman Weber's best interest to cease the contract and no longer continue our efforts to complete this project. Our company has forfeited valuable time and resources spent since the time of the agreement trying to pursue all necessary actions to have Ms. [redacted]' home rebuilt properly, in accordance to the City of Minneapolis building requirements, and pursuant to her insurance company's agreeing to a settlement for all legitimate damages. Hoffman Weber is terribly sorry for the tragic circumstances that Ms. [redacted] has endured as a result of the fire destroying her home, but we feel her complaint does not accurately depict the efforts we have consistently made since the time of the agreement (May 6th). We will provide relevant documentation if requested to substantiate our response to this claim.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Dear Mr. [redacted],
I sincerely made every attempt to continue to work with Hoffman Weber. I continued to be in communication with the project manager as he repeatedly gave dates he would have a bid completed and it would continually be pushed back. I understood from the beginning it would take time to complete the bid. If the project manager had been able to follow through on any of the many, many dates he said he would have the bid completed we would not be in the position we are in. I contacted the Manager of Hoffman Weber to bring to his attention the misleading and untruthful practices of his project manager. During our conversation the manager stated he did not understand why his project manager had said some of the things he had said, but was adamant the project manager we had was the best and only option for my project. We continued to work with the project manager, less as a choice but more because there were no other options, and patiently waited for a bid to be completed. He continued to fall through on his completion DATES, which he had set for himself. It was not our desire to receive "expedited service", but I certainly did not expect to have the process so drawn out past the point of reasonable and to the point of my home being condemned.
Hoffman Weber did not contact the City of Minneapolis, that is a fact. My question to Hoffman Weber is this, what did the contact between you and the City of Minneapolis consist of? The city is not responsible for instructing a construction company on what needs to be rebuilt. Hoffman Weber would be responsible for submitting building plans and submitting building permits to the city. The city would have reviewed the plans and would have adjusted them according to city codes. Hoffman Weber has never submitted building plans or building permits to the City of Minneapolis. That is a fact. I do not understand what Hoffman Weber's communication with the City of Minneapolis would have consisted of, or how this would have moved the project forward.
I do not seek monetary reimbursement from Hoffman Weber as much as I seek to have my legitimate complaint be heard and for others in my position not have to go through what I have gone through.

Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/08/10) */
In regards to [redacted] response, we stand firm with our initial statement. Our project manager [redacted] allocated the appropriate amount of time towards gathering estimates from multiple vendors. He was tasked with the timely process of collecting a variety of estimates because the insurance adjuster left off a significant portion of the initial assessment for open bids.
In regards to Mrs. [redacted] concerns over us contacting the city, again our statement asserts the truth that [redacted] in fact contacted the City of Minneapolis to request if the appropriate personnel could assess the structural integrity of the roof, and he called to see what the city wanted to do with the electrical system since the previous electrical configuration contributed to the cause of the fire. We are unable to develop plans without this municipal guidance. [redacted] proceeded with having the Truss plan developed in accordance with the city instruction. He continued keeping Mrs. [redacted] informed, and there nothing was done out of line with how Hoffman Weber had carried out past fire claims. We do not feel the situation warrants Mrs. [redacted]'s request for 25% of her claim, especially considering the loss of time and resources we assigned to this project

Professional, fast, and skilled! I had a new roof put on from HWC and they took me through the whole process quickly and without problems. Thank you Hoffman Weber Construction!

The workers arrived on time and did an excellent job. There were a couple hiccups. They ordered the wrong brand/color of aluminum wrap that was sent to the job site, but promptly went out and got the right stuff and still finished in about four hours. They were professional and efficient. Another issue was rectified immediately by Joe to my 100% satisfaction. Joe is a pleasure to work with and he will do whatever it takes to please his customer. We have recommended him to our friends on many occasions, all with great feedback. We appreciate Joe's professionalism and integrity. He is an honest business owner and always stands by his word. If you need to get you roof or siding replaced, Hoffman Weber is the BEST!

Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2014/12/15) */
In response to the complaint filed against Hoffman Weber, they went above and beyond to resolve the matter. It was more of the roofing company and not HW, and the roofing company is no longer used by HW. HW had someone out the next day and...

had the remainder of the mess cleaned up. The project managers are very busy with the catastrophe we had here, so it does take them awhile to respond. We were very pleased with the personal response, by [redacted] coming to our home to resolve the issue. And after this would recommend using Hoffman Weber. They also replaced our gutters and the company that HW used for the gutters along with the end result was excellent.

They replaced my roof, siding and front door.
The door was installed upside down & inside out. The Foreman "their best" only spoke Korean and the crew only spoke Spanish.

After OVER 13 return visits to fix problems, now less than 10 years later, eterior lights are falling off because the screws were too short. The siding faded & bubbled, was replaced, it's happening again.

The front door & storm door was installed wrong. Now we are seeking a new contractor to fix the covered up problems caused by shoddy workmanship. Enen the Tyvek with poorly taped seams are leaking moisture around outside fixtures. Come see the worst siding job ever!

We are paying for it now! Find someone else!

Joe Hoffman comes off as a nice, promising guy, we were fooled.

Hoffman Weber Construction just completed a full bathroom renovation in our home and we love how it turned out! Philip organized the project and worked closely with our insurance company and had many great ideas with the design. Ken scheduled the electrician, plumbers, drywall and tile guys as well as helped out with the endless details and finishes. The results are beautiful and Philip and Ken were so easy to work with that we are now working with them to completely renovate our kitchen.

Hoffman Weber Construction Inc. is a legitimate organization. I have had the privilege to deal with them. They did quite a bit of work in my house after Hurricane Isaac had affected it.

The rare part of this company is when I complained about two unfinished jobs to Mr. Hoffman, they sent somebody from Minnesota to repair those items and did not charge me - ONE year later !

Have'nt seen this kind of ethical behavior in a long time.

Very pleased with entire roofing project (house & garage) & gutters. My sales rep. Brian T. was always available keeping me informed of delays due to weather & street construction. My home is beautiful again!

Hoffman Weber Construction replaced our roof, siding and garage doors. They did an amazing job and the quality of work was great! They were great to communicate with and answered all of our questions.

Another storm hit and we had a few shingles that popped up a few years after replacing them. They came right out and fixed them without question. Great customer service!

I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have no construction or organization skills when it comes to commercial buildings, an expert from Hoffman Weber Construction came in explained different options and scenarios that would be good short and long term solutions for our heating loss and roof leaking. It amazed me his commitment and knowledge not just to the process but the consistent follow up. We have already seen a savings just in the electric bills from the new roof. Our company was so impressed we have already started the process to have HWC remodel some of our larger rooms as well as looking at their basement repair for some of our employees homes. Once word spread of how smoothly the process went, several of our employees have since pursued projects with this company.

We hired this company to do a kitchen remodel in August of 2015. At that time were told the remodel would take about 6 weeks. After many cancellations by various trades and the project manager and a phone call to the owner we were told that the project manager had been fired as well as the original salesperson who represented this company. The new project manager was better but seldom on site (he told us there were other projects he had to clean up that were much worse than ours!!) The project ended up taking over 3+ months due to trades not showing up as promised. The cabinetry company was really the only one that was reliable. We were actually asked to pay MORE for the electrical bid and fortunately HW shared some of this increased cost. The gentlemen who came to spray the ceilings once came in the early evening when we were gone and when we came home he had his car running in the driveway with his 12 year old daughter sleeping in the car. We have many other documented issues, too numerous to list here. They seemed very much unable to handle an indoor remodel, perhaps they are more of a siding and roofing company?
