him unwilling to to pay for the vehicle.

I am looking for Holman RV to actually provide an inspection of my needed RV Repair and provide photos and acknowledge if it is due to the original claim of a Manufacturer defect or if it is due to an improper repair that they made in Oct 2015 on my roof. The floor is dangerous and clearly not an...

issue caused by wear and tear of a lightly used RV that is 3 years old since purchasing new from their showroom floor. How can they even determine that by walking through the camper and looking at the floor. I am asking for a refund of at a minimum the current loan value since the camper floor can not be like new after this type of repair. I have summarized the communications with Holman below.   My 2013 [redacted] camper is kept on private property and is in pristine condition.  4/2014 Purchased a 2013 RV new off the showroom floor.  used camper less than 12 times in 2014 and 2015.  10/2015- had stick pierce the roof and had a new roof put on by Holman which was approved by [redacted].  4/2016 picked up camper from Holman after repairs.  4/16-9/16 used camper 3 times and never towed it.  3/22/17 opened camper for 2017 season and discovered issue. Called [redacted].  4/1/17 they looked at Rv and said take it to Holman for an estimate.  4/12/17 Holman called me (Jim ) and stated  It has a serious manufacturing defect in the main floor area. jim from Holman  stated this could not have been prevented, nor repaired and is a serious safety issue. The recommended that I contact [redacted] for approval to do an out of Warranty claim and that they will not repair the floor but [redacted] typically refunds or replaced the model since it is so new.  4/12/17- I contact [redacted] and was told to submit the claim.  4/22/17 I have hired an attorney since neither Holman or Dutchman will return my calls or accept any claim. I went to pick up my camper on sat 4/22 and the paperwork stated that the floor was squeaky and week. I asked for it to be clearly written that it was a manufacturer defect. Scott K. the service manger said absolutely they could do that, but the initial inspection was not complete. The initial inspection was for water only. So I was to leave it there so they could look under the floor from under the camper. Apparently they only walked in the camper and looked under the vinyl. It is like having a roof leak inspected and they look at the flashing from the driveway and say well its not from the flashing and never go any further.  4/25/17 I get an email that they have written a 11K floor estimate that says it is from walking around in the camper. so using a camper less than a dozen times a year breaks the floor. I am 5.5 and 120 lbs its not like I am obese and causing excessive damage even if that was the truth.  I asked for a real estimate and they will not tear the floor up or identify what the issue is other than state that "They believe it is caused from". As a long time Holman customer you would think they would help me find the issue.  They also stated that while they kept the camper another 4 days they did no further inspections because "They believe it will not yield in any different outcome" 4/25/17   in Summary The camper has been used lightly over the past 3 years and is in new condition. There is no way this is wear and tear and will cost 11, 000 to repair. Yet Holman refuses to do a true inspection and  suddenly refuse to document the actual cause of the floor damage. They have had the trailer for 3 weeks with the expectation that they were removing the vapor barrier and looking at the underside of the floor. I am now having to get my attorney involved just to get an honest estimate and description of the issue. Plus I will have to get a second opinion and all other RV shops are booked till June. Holman is covering up shoddy roof repairs from 2015 and is hoping that I will go away if they make this difficult enough. They owe me a refund at a minimum and I have lost some seriously valuable family time this spring with my family.  Ethically, I can not sell the camper. Holman wont take it back or in trade even at a financial loss to me. [redacted] acknowledges that this is a common issue but states that we are outside of the 1 year warranty. [redacted] a said they commonly see this type of issue in vacuum sealed floor construction after 3-5 years of use.  It appears that the [redacted] State Attorney General is also aware of quality issues with [redacted] and is collecting claims since 2015. I owe $25, 000 on this Rv and can not use it, sell it or repair it? If I try to repair it I alter the physical frame construction and void all my extended warranties that I purchased. I am afraid to have my family inside & continue using it as is. The dealer originally stated that someone will eventually fall through the floor and there are mechanical parts and motors beneath that section. I have been in contact with [redacted] President Troy J. and would like to sue them for a refund or a like replacement with a different floor construction, he initially responded to me but will no longer return my emails. I wonder how many other people are having this issue and just gave up after [redacted] said no. I am not willing to take no for an answer. The camper (my 4th) was purchased to provide quality family time with no internet. Now it would be dangerous to use? It is like build a house with non pressure treated wood that you know would not last and saying well there's a 1 year construction warranty, sorry folks. All my other campers were much older than this and never had any issues.

At this time our camper is at Cold Springs RV, to be repaired 11/9. Until the camper is 100% fixed and released to us, we do not consider the matter closed. Regarding Holman Motors, they have not acknowledged any wrong doing or responsibility for us receiving our camper damaged, and/or the way that we were treated. We will keep you informed of the progress with the repairs that [redacted] has approved. In our opinion, the whole thing started with Holman Motors knowing selling us a damaged camper, and they still have not acknowledged nor have they tried to make it right in any way.

We will contact the manufacture to let them know the consumer hasn't received a check for compensation.

Talking to [redacted] at [redacted] today has brought me up to speed on what action the manufacture has taken. There is a repair scheduled with the local dealer Cold Springs RV, who has been in touch with [redacted] the slide-out manufactur, the first part of November. The manufacturer also made a monetary settlement with the customer for the months he has not had use of his RV. With this repair scheduled we are confident this repair will correct the problem.

We have contacted the [redacted] and have agreed to sending them 4 stabilizing jacks. We have asked them to ship us the radio DVD player and when we receive it we will replace the unit.

I have reached a mutual agreement with Holman Motors that resolves my complaint and I consider this issue closed.I believe Holman Motors treated me extremely fairly throughout this entire process.[redacted]

It's unfortunate that Mr. [redacted] is having issues with his new camper. This matter is complicated by the distance the customer lives from his selling dealer. We have contacted the manufacture of this camper and asked for there assistance in resolving these issues. A Forest River representative will...

be in contact with them to assist with repairs

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  The dealership went above and beyond the call of duty in order to resolve my complaint and the issues with my RV that should have been taken care of by the manufacturer.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]In regards to the response from Holman Motors, we regretfully reject this response.  We were finally contacted by a Holman Motor representative who apologized for the issues were having and then stated that they contacted the manufacturer, Forest River, and said they should be contacting us.  We continued to state to her that the fault was not on the manufacturer but on their company's failure to adquately inspect and prep the unit to be sure it was fully operational and in a condition that was clean of debrit and ready for delivery.  This is not the manufacturer's reponsibilty!  They sent us a unit with major faults that again could have been caught if properly inspected.  We waited 5 days to be contacted by the manufacturer and have not heard from them.  Nor have we received any kind if follow-up from the dealer as to whether we have been contacted.  In short, Holman Motors is attempting to push us on to the manufacturer instead of dealing with us directly as should be the case, using distance as an excuse.  We would glady bring that unit back to them in exchange for a fully functional, properly inspected and prepared unit, which is what's we paid over $50,000 to receive.  Enough excuses and time for action...talk is cheap!

We are sorry to hear that Mr. [redacted] has had some difficulty with his truck after he purchased it from us. The truck was sold as is (buyer beware). The service records show a pre-owned vehicle inspection was performed. The oil and filter were replaced, wiper blades, broken switch was replaced,...

replaced steering idler arm and right inner tie rod, performed alignment. As you can see we did service this vehicle and if there were a SES lite on we would have addressed it as well.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Dear Mr. [redacted],I just wanted to update you regarding the progress being made in the resolution of this complaint. Although I was hopeful of having an agreement completed today, we seem to be having just a bit of trouble putting on paper exactly what it is that we have agreed to. In a series of email exchanges today, I laid out my understanding of our agreement and asked Mr. [redacted] for written assurance that my understanding of our agreement is the same as his understanding of same. Similarly, I have requested written assurance that Holman Motors will do nothing in the future that might jeopardize the current active status of my ValuGard policy. However, the replies that I have received from Mr. [redacted] do not directly affirm either of these two points using language that makes me confident that my ValuGard policy will necessarily and absolutely remain in place, which I consider to be an important part of our agreement. I would like to think that we will be able to conclude this matter within the coming week, so I do not wish to formally reject the solution offered by Holman Motors at this point. Neither am I comfortable accepting the solution that Mr. [redacted] and myself have been discussing until I am certain that we have achieved the same understanding, and that we are both using the desired language that gives me assurance of the long term continuation of my ValuGard protection policy. I would ask you, therefore, to keep this complaint open to allow us a little more time to get these things accomplished. Kindly advise me if you need any additional information, or if you need me to formally accept or reject by a certain date.Thank you very much for your consideration.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] I will accept this response once I have a check for $675. Here are all the receipts. My local GM dealer supplied the parts and labor flashing it. I also had labor in my local mechanic for diagnosing the issue, working with Reichard GM and getting my truck put back together. My total out of pocket cost was $675 (plus headache, tow bills but I'm just asking for the cost of fixing it which was $675).

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]I understand the truck was sold with no warranty from the point I signed the dotted line, but I didnt expect to be sold a truck with existing problems prior to the sale of the truck, to be covered up and not mentioned to me. Someone tried to clear the TCM malfunction code in order to "bandaid" fix the existing problem. The problem with that is it doesnt fix anything. The code came on for a reason (because the TCM was failing). This is a common problem in these trucks and is somewhat erratic, but the fact of the matter is there was a problem and you tried to cover it up and pass it on to the buyer (me). When you cleared the code, it worked for a few hours / days / weeks at most before it happens again until the TCM finally goes out completely and leaves the driver stranded (what happened to me after the first time the code came on). The codes were still in the system because they cannot clear completely until the issue is fully resolved (new tcm installed by a dealer so it can be flashed properly). I was sold a truck with a hidden issue to save the dealer $675 is what it boils down to. Thats bad business practice. Covering up known malfunctions is not an honest move to make. The right thing to do would be to make it right with the honest buyer, not stick him with the bill that you tried to cover up. I have refrained from speaking about this issue with anyone until I tried to resolve it with Holman Motors first. If I end up getting stuck with a $675 bill from a lying cheating dishonest car dealership, I'll make sure it ends up costing you even more than $675 in the future sales. I will tell my story to anyone and everyone that will listen online and in person. Your move...
